I will say it is so interesting to me how stats end up for one of my specific fic interests because sometimes I will see a piece of media and run to AO3 like "oh there are gonna be so many fics about this theme" and then there're like. two. but then I will just be looking at fic for something not expecting to find the specific brand of fic and there will be like. a hundred and fifty

#for instance there is a newish piece of media where I was EXPECTING there to be these fics based on the themes in the source material #and there were literally 2 and one of them was like. tangential relation via setting with OCs #whereas another piece of media I enjoy where I would not like. EXPECT to find these is in the top ten for frequency of these fics
