now that I've almost finished watching the victim game, I truly truly hope the second season will give us a little bit of intimacy between fang yi ren and xu hai yin and that their relationship will be better developed and showcased because, truth to be said, they do have chemistry. these two are the only ones that understand each other, they literally conduct their life in the exact same way, which is deemed as reckless and egoistic by others, so i feel like there could be a level of sympathy among them that no one else really gets and which could be the element of contrast in the drama.
i don't think we are ever going to get romance, it wouldn't "suit" the characters' trajectory, but i do hope they develop some sort of friendship and attachment towards each other. the drama has everything except for that level of warmth that comes out of a well meaning relationship, in fact everything seems very disrupted, brutal and almost hurried. there is very little space for affection and that too is reserved for relationships that couldn't get their happy ending. at this point (episode 7), it almost feels repetitive. this is why I'm hoping for something different to happen in season 2, especially if it comes as a stronger bond between fang yi ren and xu hai yin. it would also be significant for depicting a more positive version of a relationship and possibly help two extremely lonely and self-isolating individuals to come out and try to find solace in the presence and the existence of the other.

“Could you seriously stop?”. You eyes wondered to the redheads. You nodded and started to tap your feet. Reason? Blood circulation. If the girl asked. You had just finnished auditioning for your colleges play. There was supposed to be a ‘after party’ which was really you all just going to Danielle’s house to eat snacks and pray you got your roles.
Two minutes after you left the school the red head did too. You pulled up your scarf around your neck and braced for impact.
“So who did you audition for?”. The girl scoffed and put went to get her air pods out of her coat pocket. Even her air was cold. Totally not because it was dead fuck in the middle of winter.. right?
“Yua”. You tilted your head up towards the girl. She sighed again and stared at you.
“I auditioned for Yua”
“Oh! I auditioned for Han-“. The girl nodded and then put in her air pods. Rude.
“Hm”
“Nothing sorry”. You bowed and you could see the girls tongue poking at her cheek. Rude bitch.
As you attend at the girl heels clicking like Dorothy you saw your actual Dorothy running up to you.
“Sorry we couldn’t get here fast we didn’t know we needed two cars!”. Danielle ran to hug you and bowed to the other girl. The perfect Dorothy. As you smiled at Danielle the other girl scoffed.
“Winter are you ok sitting in the back seat? Haerin couldn’t cause she’s claustrophobic”. Translation she had a fat crush on Dani. Being the cat girls bestfriend you but you cheek and pretend to look ate the snow.
“It’s fine..”
“Oh and you too Y/n! Sunoo said something about it messing up his face I don’t really remember”. You nodded and as the bubbly girl turned around you followed. Too busy looking at the snow fall you tripped on air. For like the fifth time this day. You felt a hand on your arm and as you looked up Winter let go. You hit your head on the cars window and Ning Ning grimaced as she opened the door.
“You ok?”
“Mhm”. With out even looking you knew she was rolling her eyes. That was only the first awkward interaction between the two of you. Yua and Hana were friends. Best friends infact. But Winter didn’t seem to get that after the fifteen times you ran over lines with her.
“.. let’s.. let’s try that again”. Bless Mrs. Joys heart.
“I heard she really pretty”
“But then one of the boys will snatch her up!”. You sighed. Again and again Winter gave you dry ass lines.
“Ok.. um.. take five kids! There’s some cookies in the back if you want some”. You nodded and watched as everyone went back stage. You sat at the edge of the stage, and played both rolls.
“You know you could just ask me to rehearse lines with you”
“Oh.. sorry.. do you wa-“
“Sure”. You gulped as Winter sat next you. She put her lines face down and her hand on your thigh.
“Do you think yin’s in love?”
“Why do you say that”. That wasn’t dry..?.
“The way she stares at him makes me sick but her.. I can tell she’s overjoyed.. to bad”
“To bad what..”.Closer… so close you could feel her breath on your skin.
“I.. I heard he.. gets around.. only likes her cause.. cause she’s new”
“Then we will protect her”. As Winter took her hand of your thigh the warmth and closeness left with it.. only for a second.
“But I’m like half his wait”. You laughed. This time Winter took her hand and put it under your chin.
“Repeat after me”
“Ok..?”
“Ofcourse your not gonna protect her”
“Of- hay”. Winter smiled as she went to pinch your cheek. Putting her hand under your pouting lips after.
“We just.. strongly disagree with any attempts she makes with him”. You nodded and started to look at the empty seats. Was that—
“Plus.. shouldn’t you be worrying about-“
“Oh stop!”. You shooed Winters hand away and she laughed.
“I know I’m working on it!”. Winter lifted her hand from beside yours and messed up your hair. Your cracked a smile and she did too.
“Can’t wait t-“
“Winter that was lovely.. the chemistry was great Y/n”. Mrs. Joy (she thinks using her first name makes her hip) grabbed both of your hands. Shaking winters more Joy playfully laughed.
“Why don’t you do that on stage?”
“The people I guess”. You didn’t miss the glance winter gave you before her face went stone cold again. After that she performed better but after she treated you were a fat piece of shit.
Now as your in your dressing chair you sighed.
“Can’t believe they cancelled the play and made it a ‘theater production’ cause they aren’t getting any hype anymore”. Yoon giggled as she applied some more mascara to your lashes.
“Translation Vice Principle A was made his daughter who got rigged in wasn’t getting any attention”. You giggled as Karina flicked Yoon’s head.
“She’s nice!”
“And can’t direct! She literally told me ‘do it again but like.. happier.. you know?’”. Yoon smiled as she sprayed setting sprayed and turned your chair to the mirror.
“Won’s just defending her cause she wants her sooooo bad”. Karina rolled her eyes and then ran out the trailer. Just then you saw a text from said girl ‘can anyone help me unpack the cameras? The rest left for break and I wanna make it easier on them”. You and Yoon looked at eachother and then burst out laughing.
“K I gotta go sneak into Won’s trailer to get that glitter she wears! It looked perfect on you and for Hana’s character!”. You nodded and then stared at yourself before. Then a wave of hair fell on your face. You tried to blow it up but it didn’t work. You heard a loud laugh.
“You watch too many romcom’s”. As winter approached you bit your tongue and tried to fix your hair. The girl put her head down on yours and you immediately stopped.
“You need help?”
“No..”
“If you go out like that you’ll look like that girl the crawled out of the tv”. As Winter mimicked the girl youlaughed. And she immediately stopped. She grabbed a brush and hair spray and got to working.
“You.. you ready for the change?”
“Ya if Miyoung finally lets Wonyoung direct”. You laughed and the girl patted your head.
“Don’t move your head to much unless I do it don’t wanna ruin your eyes”. You moved your eyes up and down and Winter burst out laughing.
“What you said don’t move my head!”. As Winter finnished she turned you around and stuck her tongue out. You tried to stifle a laugh.
“Wait..”. Winter then pulled out a silver locket necklaces and put it around your neck.
“Over heard Mrs. J saying they forgot the necklaces. Winter smiled as you looked up at her.
“Thanks”
“Not problem.. I’ll go now”. Before you could even speak you got alert telling you to get to set. Meaning your schools garden. After filming Winter was distant. The scoffs and eye rolling came back. As you went to your troller you saw a girl in an all pink uniform filling her nails.
“What is up with today? All these dumbasses fumbling I just can’t!”. The girl stood up and paved around the room.
“What-“
“I cupid! Name Wonyoung! You fumbled a really pretty girl now I make you got back in time and fix it! Or you will die alone sad and mad and bad!”. The girl pointed to herself and then pointed to two boys outside of your trailer. Through the window you saw them start to aggressively make out.
“Wo-“
“Yes or no?”
“Y-“. Snap.
Just like that you were back two weeks before you auditioned. In your room listening to laufey. You were gonna say ‘You must be crazy’.

Hi!!! I’d love to hear about Ming Fan :)
hahahahaha well you already know! But it's true we did talk about two Ming Fan fics.
This one has 6,000 words. I doubt I will have the patience to finish it, even though Tarnished Gold by prim_the_amazing made me want 30,000 other fics like it.
In this fic, Shen Yuan does not transmigrate into Shen Qingqiu's body. He instead transmigrates into Ming Fan's body, about 9 months before Shen Qingqiu is due to toss Luo Binghe into the Endless Abyss.
Here's a short excerpt that I think basically demonstrates the premise. The opening of the fic is that LBH is being tortured in the woodshed as a result of Ming Fan's bullying. When LBH gets out he hears that Ming Fan has fallen ill. He doesn't exactly care.
A few warnings: there's bullying, violent thought, and a number of OCs in this excerpt. Also, the narration is unkind to Ning Yingying--this is because LBH likes her well enough but doesn't really understand her behavior. The idea is that Shen Yuan would eventually shed light for Luo Binghe on why she does what she does, making her a far more relatable and comprehensible character for the reader. (And as in canon, NYY having someone around who treats her like an adult also helps NYY herself grow and change).
A week later, Ning Yingying came to visit while Luo Binghe mucked out the horses’ stalls. “Did you hear? Ming-shixiong is doing much better,” she remarked, sitting on a bale of hay, watching as he worked.
Ning Yingying never helped with the additional tasks always assigned to Luo Binghe. She’d tried to a few times in early days. She’d been reprimanded for it and Luo Binghe punished, though Luo Binghe being punished never seemed like a strong deterrent to her. At first, Luo Binghe had thought that she didn’t realize that they liked her, and that was why she also didn’t realize that evidence that she liked him resulted in hardship upon him. Gradually, he came to see that she just didn’t notice that her behavior could really have an effect on anyone who wasn’t her.
Once he asked her not to help him with the chores, she gave in easily. She really hadn’t liked doing them anyway.
When Luo Binghe said nothing, Ning Yingying went on. “They say he suffered memory loss as a result of the illness. Even some of his cultivation technique!”
Luo Binghe shoveled more of the dung into the wheeled cart. He had heard the same thing, but it didn’t really concern him much. Ming Fan’s cultivation had never been strong to begin with, even though his spiritual cultivation was still much stronger than Luo Binghe’s. It didn’t matter. Luo Binghe’s demonic cultivation, under the tutelage of Ming Mo, had already made him more powerful than Ming Fan would ever be.
“I’ve heard he’s been practicing with the little ones to relearn it,” Ning Yingying went on. “Shu-shimei, Mu-shimei, even San-shidi. He’s only twelve! Have you ever heard Ming-shixiong even speak to them?”
Ming Fan should have been speaking to them. He was Head Disciple, and Shu Mingxia, Mu Bailong, and San Nianzhou were Ming Fan’s youngest martial siblings. Ming Fan’s duty was to ensure that they were well tutored, but of course, Ming Fan had never done anything of the sort with Luo Binghe. He shoveled up another pile of dung.
“I just think it’s interesting,” Ning Yingying said, when Luo Binghe still didn’t reply.
“What’s interesting?” said a voice.
Luo Binghe paused, then slowly turned around.
Huo Yuhan, one of Ming Fan’s gang, stood in the doorway of the stables, flanked by two others. During Ming Fan’s illness, Huo Yuhan and these other two had carried on the thankless yet necessary task of insulting Luo Binghe, pranking him, assigning him extra work, and making sure he didn’t have enough to eat. “I said, what’s interesting?” Huo Yuhan demanded, swaggering into the stable. “Is it how much shit Luo-shidi can shovel? Because I’m interested in him shoveling more.”
“Huo-shixiong,” was all Luo Binghe said. He rested his hand casually around the handle of the shovel, imagining bashing it into Huo Yuhan’s head—but he already knew he wouldn’t do it. Patience, Meng Mo had counseled. The boys would rough him up. Ning Yingying would protest, and Luo Binghe would let them. Then he would go back to shoveling shit.
“Maybe it’s interesting whether you’re good for anything else,” Huo Yuhan said. “Tell me, Shidi, are you good for anything but shoveling shit? Maybe eating shit?”
“Huo-shidi,” said a quiet voice.
Luo Binghe shifted his eyes behind the trio, who all turned to look at the stable door entrance. Ming Fan stood there, looking a little pale. His mouth was a flat line.
Meanwhile, Huo Yuhan’s face broke into a wide grin. “Ming-shixiong! So glad you’re here. I was just asking Luo-shidi whether he wanted to eat shit. What do you think?”
“Shizun wants you.” Ming Fan’s eyes fell on the other two disciples flanking Huo Yuhan. “You as well.”
“What? What for?”
Ming Fan gave a slight shake of his head. “He didn’t say.”
“Well, fine,” said Huo Yuhan. “We can tell him how badly Luo-shidi is slacking.”
“Right,” said Fu Xuefeng, one of the other lackeys. “He’s barely shoveled anything.”
“You’re the ones who interrupted him,” Ning Yingying said irritably.
“We’ll tell him you said so.” Fu Xuefeng smirked, knowing that any time Shen Qingqiu heard about Ning Yingying defending Luo Binghe, the punishment doubled.
Luo Binghe kept his silence, hand still on the shovel.
“Why would we bother Shizun with reports about dung?” Ming Fan’s eyes were fixed calmly on the trio, as though Luo Binghe wasn’t even there. “I’m sure it’s beneath his notice.”
Huo Yuhan began, “But Luo-shidi hasn’t—”
“It’s beneath his notice,” Ming Fan said firmly. “Come along.” Ming Fan waited at the door until the other three had filed out, then turned and left.
He hadn’t looked at Luo Binghe once. He hadn’t looked at Ning Yingying either, which was far more strange. Ming Fan usually never passed up an opportunity to ridicule Luo Binghe, but perhaps Ming Fan had decided ignoring Luo Binghe and calling him beneath Shen Qingqiu’s notice was ridicule enough. But Luo Binghe couldn’t remember a time when Ming Fan hadn’t looked for an opportunity to ingratiate himself with Ning Yingying, even despite all these years of her disinterest. Did he think that acting like he was too good to care about dung shoveling was going to impress her somehow?
“Like I said,” Ning Yingying, tossing aside a piece of hay she’d been playing with. “It’s very interesting.”

Something I really dislikes is when Lan Zhan is a single father to A-Yuan without having met Wei Ying first. Or as I read sometimes, Wei ying abandons him or leaves. I think there is no way for Wei Ying to leave the Wens and A-Yuan unless he die, goes to jail or is taken away.
Also, I don't see Lan Zhan as someone who would adopt a child on a whim, I know he cares and loves Lan Shizui and saved him and raised him, but he wouldn't have even met him if it wasn't for Wei Ying. It's a personal thing, but when Wei Ying is erased from his life or die and is blamed for it, it looks injustice.
It feels like if some of your parents died is equal to leave you behind. It is also ignoring the development of children up to 5 years of age, the first year of life as well as the first 5 are very important in development, regardless of A Yuan's amnesia, we know that he erased traumatic memories and therefore his family, but at least in the audio drama they don't seem to have erased their speech abilities or personality and that is due to their Wen family and Wei Ying. Wen Ning himself when talks about Shizui with Lan Wangji said "before it was always about WWX and now it is about LWJ", we know that A-Yuan sees both of them as father figures. I just don't like when people completely erase the Wen or Wei Ying from their origin, especially in the Modern AU.
Finally, I am a bit more spiteful, A-Yuan lost her family in part because of the Lan and even Lan Qiren fought for he would not stay and in the novel they said that it is only when LWJ gets drunk and marks himself LQR stop objecting.
I can only accept it if it is biological Wangxian, but with Wen family too.

Algo que realmente no me gusta es cuando Lan Zhan es padre soltero de A-Yuan sin haber conocido primero a Wei Ying.
O como hacen a veces, Wei ying lo abandona o se va, creo que no hay forma que Wei Ying deje a los Wen y aun mas a A-Yuan a menos que muera, vaya a la carcel o se lo quiten.
Tampoco veo a Lan Zhan como alguien que adoptaria a un niño por capricho, se que se preocupa por Lan Shizui y lo salvo y lo crío, pero ni siquiera lo habria conocido si no es por Wei Ying.
Es algo personal, pero cuando borran a Wei Ying de su vida y lo culpan por no estar, siento que es como decir que un padre que muere es igual a que te abandona y es cruel.
También es ignorar el desarrollo de los niños hasta los 5 años, el primer año de vida asi como los 5 primeros son importantisimos en el desarrollo, independiente de la amnesia de A Yuan, sabemos que borro recuerdos traumaticos y por lo tanto su familia, pero al menos en el audio drama no parecen haber borrado sus capacidades de habla o personalidad y eso se le deben a su familia Wen y a Wei Ying.
El mismo Wen Ning cuando habla con Lan Wangji sobre Lan Shizui le dice que antes siempre se trato de WWX y ahora se trata de LWJ, sabemos que A-Yuan los ve a ambos como figuras paternas. Solo eso no me agrada cuando borran por completo a los Wen o Wei Ying de su origen, sobretodo en los Modern AU.
Por último, yo soy un poco mas rencorosa, A-Yuan perdio a su familia en parte por los Lan e incluso Lan Qiren peleo para que no se quedará y en la novela dice que es solo cuando LWJ se emborracha y se marca a si mismo deja de poner objeciones. Solo puedo aceptarlo si es biológico de ambos e incluye a la familia Wen.
