⛪️St. Jude's Chapel of Hope is located in Madison County, North Carolina near Hot Springs. This small roadside chapel is always open to the public for a peek inside. You can go inside to rest, take a look around, or reflect as the sign in front encourages you to do.
It was built in 1991 by the Baruito family after Beverly's miraculous recovery from cancer. There are no regular services there, but many visitors stop by for a moment of meditation.

Blue Ridge Mountains Sunset North Carolina by Mark
Via Flickr:
Sunset Over the Swannanoa Rim Valley & Great Craggies McDowell County, Western North Carolina Accessed via the Blue Ridge Parkway Date taken: October 17, 2016 I've written twenty different snippets to go with this photograph; none have escaped the delete key. For now, how about I just say that this particular location is a favorite of mine. The scene always moves my sense of adventure and awe and admiration for these particular mountains--the Southern Appalachians. I care little as to whether the conditions were perfect on this particular evening and/or if I captured those conditions with the polish of an advanced master of photography. In fact, if I could figure out how to best do it, I would remove myself entirely (outside of organizing my vision within the frame) and just let the integrity of the place speak for itself. It's beautiful to me. And I'll just leave it right there.
