anyway, a big recap of my victoria bc trip

got up at 6:50 am ish and then headed out at 7:20 took the train and bus to the ferry terminal and then headed to victoria yay, lined up for a a breakfast meal for the ~experience~ and that pretty much took up most of the time. Arrived and took the bus to the royal bc museum, almost missed my bus due to it being full but someone pointed to the huge line to go take the other bus, got lucky there.

The Royal BC Museum was cool, though there wasn't much to it cause there were no feature exhibit at that time and one part of the museum was under reno, but it was still fun nonetheless!! I didn't realize how dark it was so honestly I was a lil spooked at times esp cause I was alone haha. Since it was a very nice day I went down to the Fisherman's Wharf cause I wouldn't have time on saturday and i heard the weather wasn't gonna be good on sunday. Most of the shops were closed for the season LMAOO so there wasn't much to see, but thankfully there was 1 fish n chips shop open and i bought some yum yum, it was very filling. Walked back to downtown and went through the Miniature World museum and it was super cute!!! It was also a lil spoopy for parts of it cause there were portions of it where it was dark and there weren't many people going through it.

Headed to the airbnb around 5 ish, and then chilled for a bit. Was wanting to order dinner but the place I wanted to order to was too busy at that time to take in takeout orders so i had to schedule it at 8 sobs but thats okay cause i was still full from the fish n chips, so i just chilled and tried to nap. The dinner was kinda mid ngl, wish i got the lasagna but i was like "but i can get lasagna anywhere else" it was okay but still LOL. also splurged and bought a cheesecake as well, that was pretty good though. couldn't finish it so i saved half of it for tomorrow's dinner.

The next day was con day!! I was supposed to go to a brunch place but i slept in a little and then when i got there, the line was pretty long and i didnt want to wait so im like eh okay nvm ima just go back home and eat the breadsticks i didn't eat yesterday LOL as well as the creme brulee given by the airbnb host they're so nice. And then I made my way to the con and omg it was a lot of walking lol. Got in and hung around mainly in the artist alley!! I was supposed to go watch the cosplay contest but i lost track of time and missed it LMAO OOPS. I spent waaay more than I thought I would, but very happy with my purchases and wish i bought more haha but my backpack literally would have no room for it. I spent the remaining time at my friends table til like 6:30 and made a new friend that was tabling with her, she was super kind and fun

Got home and picked up dinner on the way, ordered a mixed kebab meal set and it was so good and the portion was huge, very worth it and very delicious. Spent the rest of the night eating and showering and watching youtube and packed a little bit before leaving tomorrow.

Woke up the next day, final day, it was damn pouring in the morning sadly, so I just stayed in the airbnb until 10:50 and then made my way to explore the Chinatown (which I found out is the second oldest Chinatown in North America???? damn). Went to the little Chinatown museum and saw some cool stuff and then walked around the area and the shops nearby. Went to Boardwalk Burgers and chilled until it was time to catch the bus to the ferry.

I arrived hella early cause if I didn't take the bus I took, i would have been late to my ferry;;; BUT MY FERRY GOT DELAYED. So I just spent a lot of time sitting at the waiting area playing my 3DS LOL Made some progress in AA5 again finally, i haven't played it in sooo long ( i really should finish it, as well as spirit of justice, and i still have the great chronicles to play;;) Got on the ferry and played some more AA5 and holy cow the line for the cafeteria was so long im glad i didn't decide to eat dinner there cause I was originally gonna but thank god i didnt. Napped a lil before arriving at the bay aaaand then went home :)

Overall, very nice trip!! Even though I was alone, I had a blast exploring and seeing things and got to take my time to explore shops and whatever I wanted. I had no budget planned going into this and I probably should have cause I spent... quite a lot, but oop.

i'm almost positive there was some psychological manipulation in some way yes, but for the most part len isn't pretending to pity it, he genuinely does feel some worry for it and monitors its' wellbeing (then again tho its in a slightly fcked up way w/ his idea of 'things being better this way')

its' anatomy is kinda very fucked up yes lmaoo, i was to trying to see how many wrong places i can have limbs in or how many limbs i can bend the wrong way with it still looking somewhat coherent, so the bones are definitely messed up ye... despite that drawing i don't think it actually can fully stand upright, it mostly moves around by crawling around (always envisioned the movement kinda like a spider/centipede but a bit... worse-looking?). i'm almost certain it is in some form of constant pain yes! even in spite of getting used to its' state after a while... it probably can contort itself and occasionally shift limbs and stuff to some degree ye, but also that's just my bullshit explanation for me drawing it super inconsistently b/c it's hard asf to draw okay 😭😭

the no-mouths is more of a symbolic thing but like the purposefully-hard-to-move thing, while it is convenient for len and it would be cool to think he planned that out, he's not that smart 😂😭 technically speaking he fucked up, it wasn't supposed to turn out like that but he basically went "yknow what, sure, this works" b/c what else do you do really in that situation

A sharehouse matchmaking show with the Parasite 5? I'm innnn!! I live for the destruction they'll cause😂 LMAO at Raul bringing a statue of Neptune when he moved in to the sharehouse, legit dead😂 Excuse me, Peter the assistant director is so hot?! Why is he not an LI?! It was honestly expected that it would be impossible to do a sharehouse considering their personalities, but it was funny how they put the whole segment with the girls fighting over Allan into the show intro😂😂 Allan and Shelby half-naked is so beautiful, I love it👌👌 Omgggg Allan getting the perfect pillow for Lynette was the sweetest thing ever! It's obvious he likes her and thinks that he can only "be with her" if she's in love with someone else and that's why he keeps telling her to sleep with one of the Parasite 5 but yeah, totally understand why Lynette would be annoyed and turned off by the things he says.

Aww Gill is so devoted to cooking Lynette's favourites for her. Considering how stressed and stuff she is, Gill would be great for her. I'm glad we kinda got to know more about the guys through their own words. The most enlightening was probably Ryuki since he never talks about himself, so finding out that he actually signed up because his sister signed him up and his grandmother told him that he'll never be a great designer without getting married and knowing love was interesting. It was also nice to see Allan a bit more honest and tell Lynette that he does want to get married but his problem of only wanting women who are in love with other men is what it is I guess. I am DEAD, lmao at Raul asking the teacher if he can take the girl to an excavation site for a first date😂😂😂 Ooh so if a god falls in love with a human, they turn into a human? Is that what Allan wants? Even though Ryuki says a lot of crap, I do appreciate how seriously he takes "beauty", and how he even massaged Lynette because he knew the beautician wasn't good enough lol. He really excels in every area to fulfilling his perfect vision of beauty instead of just the "outside" fashion and I think that's really cool! It's actually really cute how Ryuki recognises their practice date as a date and says he'll pay for everything haha, can I please have someone pay for my beauty treatment, makeup and clothes for a dayyy too🥲🥲 I loveee how Lynette's portrait changed after the makeover, she looks niceee! Overall, I've been really enjoying Cupid Parasite and I loved the Common Route! It was so funny!! I kept laughing out loud at how silly they all were. Allan constantly looking for a partner who loves someone else never gets old especially when he flirts with every woman he sees lol. Ryuki spraying mist on every girl because her face is dry kills me too haha. I love how quirky they all are, and I love how the guys got the chance to bond together. Dying at the idea of Stede's kids visiting the ship.

"It's fine, they'll be perfectly safe," Stede says as his son goes flying up with a rope he untied, while Buttons tries to catch him by the ankle.

"Yeah, we'll keep the weapons and all that out of the way, don't you worry," Ed smiles and then it freezes awkwardly on his face as Stede's daughter walks by with a sword on her hip, a gun in each hand, and Jim is walking beside her explaining all the ways to hide throwing knives on oneself.

I can't decide if Mary would be like okay they're still alive so in theory the kids will also be fine, or if she'd like. Quietly ask the first person she sees other than them (for humor purposes, let's say Izzy) to keep an eye on the kids.

Which is peak dilemma for Izzy because fuck you I'm a pirate not a fucking babysitter! But also he knows of the Shenanigans on this ship so like. Fuck, I guess I can maybe try and watch them, I suppose! But Mr. Grumpy Ass gets a little sentimental when Stede tells the kids how Izzy is a damn good duelist and once pinned him to the mast. Should have seen it, kiddos! Stuck there for...well really too long it was very painful but what a feat, eh? Go on, ask him about it!

And he might not ever want kids, but a compliment is a compliment and they're immediately like holy shit that is such a big cool badass Pirate Thing pls tell us more but also thanks for not killing our dad and while the latter bit might make him roll his eyes, the former has him puffed up like a prideful peacock because yeah! That was a cool badass Pirate Thing! Want more gory pirate stories? And of course they do regardless of the nightmares it might give them later.

The only thing I haven't figured out for fic purposes is if it would make sense to sail a short trip (or in theory short I suppose, if the weather cooperates) with the kids, or stay at the nearest dock so Mary can at least know where they are and keep an eye on the ship from a distance

Either way they're definitely leaving with souvenirs. Their own sewn pirate flags, at least one sword or knife (that they've been shown how to wield of course), and a promise that once they're older they can come back and get a pirate sort of tattoo (that's definitely an Ed promise and Stede might raise a brow but Ed's like look. If it's in a hidden spot and they really do want one in a few years, are you gonna be able to say no? What if you have some yourself by then, hmmm?)

I just love this balance of blended and found family that's healthy and gets talked about and worked out kindly and respectfully among the adults involved. Stede maybe can't go back home and visit, but he can sneak close to a private dock and have the kids come visit them, as well as have Mary and Doug over for dinner (which Doug doesn't bat an eye at because he's just like. My impression is he's the chillest dude. He cannot be flustered. So if there's cannon fire in the distance or a storm rocking the ship sending plates flying he's just like 'oh! We needed the moisture, I'm glad it's finally raining!' even as his plate goes crashing into the wall.)

Eventually I'm gonna write a full fic for this, but for now I just wanna get the ideas down. If I didn't have early work training tomorrow I'd stay up and do it now, but I can't do that and make work anymore lmaoo, too old now.

it wasn't that bad but also it was the reason i sent the ask about not trusting them to style him. you could tell as soon as he said it they thought he was being boring. scott also wanted statement pieces in a way that i don't think would work for tubbo so that didn't help either. if the statement is too bold he'll try it, think it's cool, and then only wear it once.

the orange wasn't about pants, he was listing colors he liked, and personally i'd use it as more of an accent in a simple pattern but a dark burnt orange pant could be cool too! sort of like his brown pants but with a little added interest.

I know he was fine with dying. his tips blonde, but talks about how some days he didn’t want to go outside because he thinks it draws too much attention to himself.

honestly this is why i don't want him to dye his hair again or at least not soon. i think it could look good but anything more extreme than a little blond will almost certainly make him uncomfortable. subtle or temporary sure, but i don't get the chatters pushing for something wild after hearing him talk like that. let him enjoy his natural color if he wants!

I definitely think there were a lot of people in that group that have a very specific sense of style that works for them and doesn’t really understand where he’s coming from exactly. I love Scott’s style, but I definitely think he has a lot more interest in statement and accessories than Tubbo would be comfortable with.  it’s hard for people that have such a specific style to see another style and appreciate it. They’re so used to making a statement that they don’t understand how to style something a bit more laid back and not as out there. 

Okay idk why I just assumed you were talking about pants but no one accused me of being smart so 😭 I highly agree with the accent color on him though!!! A burnt orange or darker and muted orange, like you said would be really good as well!  it’s just a bit tricky because if it’s too bright, then it overtakes him and the outfit is wearing him. Then he’s self conscious too.

I agree so strongly with the hair as well. I think he looked really nice with the blonde, but I can understand why he wasn’t comfortable with it all the time. Especially because he gets noticed so often already, I can’t imagine what having dyed hair does lol. I also think his natural hair color is so pretty! He has such a beautiful natural curls, and it’s very healthy :3 The chat has been pushing for crazy colored hair for a while, so it doesn’t surprise me, but I wish they could look past their own wants to see what would work and what he would like long term.

play among the stars by buttonstuck - i read this in a single day when i was travelling the other week and i have NO regrets. i absolutely love sakusa's characterisation in this and while i love atsumu being an oblivious dork in fics, him being clever scratches a really specific itch in my brain and this fic did not disappoint. also even just the premise is so fucking genius? i know the author was very open that a lot of inspo was from the martian but i still couldn't have written this in a million years. they are stuck on the MOON together. and initially that made me unsure bc it sounded quite far-fetched but i am so glad i took a chance and read this

three sheets to the wind by fairycake - PIRATE AU!!! this was written so well it genuinely could have been a published book and i wouldn't have questioned it. the characterisation of EVERYONE is just done so well that it was totally immersive, especially kagehina's interactions genuinely felt canon. i also literally almost got emotional about the ending bc it's so much more than just a sakuatsu fic, it's also about finding your dream and learning to live for yourself and there's found family and UGH

insert coin to play by fairycake - same author as above and the fic im currently reading. it's still being updated which is exciting and when i tell you ive read almost all of it today alone holy shit i got SUCKED IN. i wouldn't normally have clicked on this just bc the tags looked like it was just honestly gonna be smut (which ive noticed is a trend with sakuatsu but whatever) but i trust this author after three sheets to the wind and they did NOT disappoint. i had no reason to worry about the tags bc im almost caught up and all they've done is kiss and threaten to kill each other, i genuinely think atsumu's presence just requires it's own onslaught of tags lmao. i think this might be my favourite sakuatsu fic so far? and im not even finished yet? the plot is just so well thought out that it could genuinely be a real book and i wouldn't question it, and there's moments of humour that have genuinely cracked me up and holy shit the characterisation. THE! CHARACTERISATION! their banter and the enemies to lovers and the tension is just *screams*. this is professional level writing. also the wholesome miya twin content. i just. 'if you're gonna die, die where i can find you' what if i started sobbing uncontrollably. I JUST REALISED I NEVER EVEN SAID WHAT THIS IS ABOUT it's such a cool premise this author never misses. it's a cyberpunk universe where omi and atsumu are bounty hunters! and they're each other's biggest rivals! but then they have to work together against a common enemy aRE YOU SEEING THIS SHIT-

burden of blame by deathbelle - this is another fic where the characterisation and enemies to lovers was just fucking nailed. like idk what it is about sakuatsu writers that just makes them hit the target EVERY FUCKING TIME but i want what they're having. give me enemies to lovers where they actually want each other dead and go from that all the way to being willing to burn the city down for each other. that's what burden of blame and insert coin to play do super super well. burden of blame is a really big one for the ship but if you haven't read it, it's a yakuza au where atsumu goes under the protection of the gang sakusa's in and they're forcefully partnered. the plot is so well thought out and there's a twist that literally made me pace my fucking room when i got to it. it's just so good and i ADORE both sakusa and the miya twins characterisations in this (im a sucker for wholesome miya twin content if you cant tell and this didn't disappoint)

Amajiki Tamaki x Chubby!Fem Reader

I know I have plenty of requests to work on rn (I'll get to y'all, don't worry!), but I recently came back from a vacation and was inspired to write this. So, please enjoy 💕

A Day at the Beach

-The great Suneater has always kept his inner circle small. Despite being a well respected and admired hero, very few knew him beyond his aloof public persona. Except you, you were an unexpected exception.

-Introducing himself to you was a feat in itself. He first discovered you at the seafood restaurant he frequented; you were so lovely he couldn’t help but take notice. He imagined what it would be like to approach you, as suave and casual as Mirio, and introduce himself. He would charm you with compliments and knowledge of the restaurant (you were a new customer, after all), and once you’d finished your meal, you’d leave him with your number written on a napkin, just like the romance movies.

-Instead, he could only listen to the lively conversation you were having with your friend on the phone and sulk at his missed opportunity. So, imagine his surprise when you were there again the next week. Maybe he was staring too hard this time, but he jumped when you two accidentally made eye contact...in at least what he thought was a coincidental glance. After catching your pretty eyes darting away from him for the third time, he realized you were probably...interested.

-It took two weeks of the eye contact game for him to even work up the courage to wave at you when you walked in. A whole month of mumbled greetings, and finally, he progressed past small talk to having a full conversation with you.

-Your relationship with Tamaki was the epitome of slow-burn, and it simmered warm and sweet between the two of you well after becoming official.

-Despite knowing you for so long, he still got flustered when talking to you and struggled to maintain eye contact, especially when you were smiling.

-The truth is, Tamaki couldn’t help himself. Your beauty made him nervous. He was a total sucker for you, from the sound of your laugh to the sway of your full hips. He knew you had your own insecurities, and while he understood the feeling, it fascinated him that someone could be so attractive and not even realize it...though, maybe it was better that way, otherwise you’d probably fluster him to death.

-For your first trip together, you decided to go to the beach. You were thrilled, of course, but a little apprehensive about wearing a swimsuit in front of Tamaki for the first time. So when you pulled your sundress over your head, you carefully watched his reaction.

-His eyes drifted over the way your body filled out your swimsuit before glancing away, feeling a little awkward at your intense gaze. You were totally hot tho, from what he saw. Too bad he was too shy to say so...but no worries, you got all the answers you needed from his pink tinged ears and that little wobbly smile he does when he’s flustered.

-You asked him to get the sunscreen out of your bag, and he fully expected you to ask him to rub some on your back. He was eager to oblige, reaching into the bag to pull out the bottle of...spray-on sunscreen. His shoulders dropped in disappointment, but he sprayed your back for you, anyway.

-As soon as you were ready, you rushed off toward the water, eager to cool your warm skin. Tamaki watched you with a small smile on his face. You were radiant in the sun, and the way your skin shone and eyes glimmered in the light filled him with adoration. He chest ached watching you play in the water, he was so glad you were already his.

-After goofing around with him for a couple hours (you kept begging him to grow a shark fin and pretend he was a shark as a prank, but he refused every time), you two decided to get something to eat.

-One of the pluses of your relationship is that y’all are always eating good. You don’t have to hold back with Tamaki, he’ll be smacking right there with you! With his appetite, you can’t help but wonder where it all goes. The boy never turns down a meal. He tries to act all shy about accepting food, so you’re better off just giving it to him and he’ll ‘reluctantly’ take it. Come back in 5 minutes and the whole thing will be gone, tho.

-Ugh, and imagine going to the boardwalk with him at night and riding the ferris wheel!

-If you’re scared of heights, he’ll try to make you feel better (and accidentally embarrass himself with how sweet he’s being). “It’s alright, Y/n,” he says in his deep, gentle voice, scooting closer to you, “If, if the view makes you nervous, just look at me.” It took him a second to realize how embarrassing that sounded, and the instant he did, he ducked his head and looked away.

-You grinned at his comforting words and slowly leaned over to hug him, pressing your plump cheek against his in a delicate embrace so the car wouldn’t shake too much. “In that case, I’ll look at you the whole time,” you mumble against the softness of his cheek.

-You feel his arms settle over your plush figure, and the rise of his cheeks into a small smile of his own. “Okay,” is all he whispers back, pulling you against him as he watches the city lights far below the ferris wheel.
