I want to scream and shout about The June Archive and Restoration Project ARG, but I don't know enough about it to scream and shout.

I'm so sad about that right now. Man, I was really hoping to scream and do a lil shout.

It's good, the best way I can sum it up. Like genuinely, it's good, and I just watched the NightMind analysis video on it. (posted like 17 hours ago by the time I'm posting this). I literally sat there through the whole 47 minutes going 'THATS SO COOL' like 10 times and I don't do that often.

hot take i genuinely feel bad for the people who made enchanted portals. every once in awhile there’s this new indie game everyone dogpiles on and while i’d usually agree with a lot of them i just. can’t say that enchanted portals is nearly as bad as people make it out to be. trust me there are worse indie games out there. there are worse games out there in general. enchanted portals at least feels like there was some genuine attempt at making something good or at least presenting interesting ideas which is more than i can say for most dogshit game releases.

#yeah it’s not good or whatever but looking at like every review and gameplay thing i’ve seen it had so much missed potential #idk it was trying to be too much like cuphead but you can tell it wasn’t trying to be a cashgrab like say a bunch of modern mascot horrors #feels like it was finished out of obligation due to lack of funding #but there were good ideas there!!! #at least bosses wise and the couple of times it changed art styles shows that maybe that could’ve been a better idea #like tbh if it weren’t for the old cartoon style it wouldn’t be getting nearly as much flack. just saying. #some of the criticism is deserved but. really it’s just because it chose to be more like cuphead that doomed it #i’d love to see more boss rush games especially in a somewhat similar way to cuphead #shantien rambles
