Desk Duty

pairing: john price x female!reader

an: hello! first off, thank you anon for this lovely request, hopefully you enjoy it, i am a bit rusty bc i have not written in forever. second off, to address the elephant in the room, i know this isn't marvel related, but i'm really into call of duty right now, and wanted to write for them instead. third of all, if you liked this piece, and want to request your own, my request are open! i am really only writing for cod men right now and maybe some select marvel people. thanks guys!!!!

You never understood the saying “It happened in slow motion.”

This was real life, nothing happened in slow motion, that was physically impossible.

Or so you thought.

All five of you were pinned down, trapped in a warehouse, taking massive amounts of fire. The enemy was closing in fast, and you were vastly outnumbered. It was the five of you, and a couple Marines, that’s it. This was supposed to be a run-of-the-mill mission, no one expected it to go sideways. Especially not this bad.

“Low on ammo, Captain!” Gaz yelled, tossing an empty magazine behind him. “Conserve. Wait till they get closer!” Price barked back. “Where is air support, sir?” You asked, as the both of you crouched down to reload. “Five minutes out, we just need to make it till then.” He explained, popping back up and firing towards the building across the way. Five minutes was a long time in combat, almost too long.

When you had this much adrenaline pumping through your body, it was natural to get tunnel vision. Only able to focus on the thing standing right in front of you, and at the moment that was about twenty enemy soldiers. Except, they weren’t all in front of you. They were obviously more well-versed in the area than you guys were, so they knew about a door to the warehouse you didn’t.

Out of your peripheral vision, you saw the sudden flood of light come from the door being ripped open. That’s when everything slowed way down. Three of them rushed inside, you were able to drop the first two, but the third one was too quick. And when his eyes landed on Price who was still facing towards the opposing building, you panicked. So, you did the first thing you could think of.

Grabbing your Captain’s ‘oh shit’ strap on the back of his plate carrier, you pulled him to the ground and out of the line of fire. As you kneeled beside Price, the enemy’s gun repositioned on you and before you had time to raise your own weapon again, he fired. The bullet connected, causing you to fall back against the cold concrete. Just as quickly as you fell, you watched the enemy’s body fall to the same concrete. Price let two bullets rip, one into his leg and the other into his skull. You stared up at the ceiling, clutching your wound, trying to apply pressure.

“Monarch is down!”

You woke up in the hospital two days later.

Apparently you passed out from blood loss.

It had been a tricky wound to treat in the field, so you had to wait for the air support to show up.

It was difficult for you to remember everything leading up to you being injured. You don’t remember the actual impact or being carried to the helo. It was all hazy. Gaz, Soap, and Ghost had gone over the incident with you many times, but it just never really came back to you. Not that you were complaining. No one wants to remember getting shot.

After a week and a half in the hospital, a month of physical therapy, and another month of training and sparring with your teammates to get you back in shape, you were finally cleared for the field. It was a miracle that you were able to bounce back this fast, it usually took many months to recover fully from an injury like that, but you liked to think it was solely because of how stubborn you were.

Everyone was super happy to have you back. Well, almost. There was only one more step you had to do: submit your medical release form to Price and have him approve it. You had only seen the Captain a few times, in passing, since the incident. It felt like he was avoiding you entirely, but you chalked it up to all the paperwork he was probably buried under right now, especially when a mission went that far south.

You walked down the familiar hallway, Price's office was at the very end. Nervousness flooded your body with every step you took. What could you possibly be nervous about? Was it because you were afraid to face him for the first time in over two months? Of course not, he was the same Price he was during that mission. Were you nervous he wasn’t going to approve you for medical release? No, he had to approve it, hell, you saved his damn life.

As you approached the door, you took a deep breath. You noticed a shake in your hand as you brought it up to knock on the door. Three loud racks echoed down the hallway. “Come in.” He called from the otherside of the door. You gripped the doorknob, turning it and pushed the door open with your shoulder. Price, as you suspected, was looking over a mountain of paperwork. His signature cap was discarded, and he was dressed in civilian clothes. He was in on his day off.

“Hello.” You greeted him, closing the door behind you. “Sergeant.” A man of few words, as always, but his tone seemed different. “I hate to do this, but I have some more paperwork for you.” You said with an awkward chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. “It’s my medical release form.” You added.

“Set it there.” He pointed to the only clear space on his desk. His words sounded cold. After placing down the documents, you stood there for a few more seconds, seeing if he would say anything else. You know, ask how you were doing, or something, literally anything. But to no avail.

So, you turned on your heels to walk out without another word. As you touched the doorknob, Price cleared his throat to speak, spiking some hope into your heart. “I’m putting you on desk duty.” Almost instantly, your stomach dropped past your toes. He said it so monotoned, no ounce of emotion in his voice.

For a few moments you were stunned, left speechless. But once that initial shock wore off, anger began to bubble up in your chest. You could feel the warmth overtaking every inch of your body and your chest began rising and falling irregularly.

“W-What? But I’ve been cleared for the field.” You tried to keep your tone even, unwavering as you slowly turned around to face him. He had finally looked up, head propped up on his palm. Like his tone, there was no legible emotion on his face. No anger, sadness, or guilt. “Desk duty until further notice.” This time it sounded dismissive, like the conversation was over. What is said is done. Clicking his pen twice, his eyes landed back on the report in front of him.

“This is bullshit!” The words climbed up your throat before you could stop them. You could feel your fists clenching and unclenching at your sides. Your words caught the Captain off guard, but he only showed it for a moment. Not once had you ever questioned Price, or his intentions. But this time was different, if he thought you were gonna take this lying down, he was dead wrong.

“I’d watch your tone, Sergeant.” He spoke at you more sternly than before, clearly agitated by your outburst. And what he said next only added insult to injury, literally, “After that stunt you pulled, you’re lucky I don’t reassign you.” He used his pen to point at you, reaffirming his statement. That’s when all the logic and camaraderie flew out the window.

“You mean the one where I saved your life?” You spoke with malice, like venom was dripping off your tongue. “God forbid, I interfere with you taking a bullet to the skull.” You scoffed. “Is that the stunt you’re referring to?” You mocked him, echoing the term ‘stunt,.' You were trying to get under his skin, whether you knew that at the moment or not.

The Captain was boiling, you could practically see the steam coming from his ears. As you open your mouth to further instigate the situation, he slams his fists down on his desk. He stands up quickly, his chair tumbled to the ground behind him. “Exactly that stunt!” He barks. You’re the one caught off guard this time. It was rare for the Captain to raise his voice outside the field. Especially to you.

“You could have got yourself killed, soldier!” It only takes him a few steps to be in your face. You hold your ground even though you're terrified, you had never seen Price like this. “It’s in the job description, sir.” You rebutted between your teeth, adding the ‘sir’ to irk him more. It worked. “You were careless and clearly have no regard for your own life. You are a risk.” He spat.

“I’d die for you, Captain. No if, ands, or buts, about it.” You said with a straight face. “ So, if that categorizes me as a ‘risk,’ so be it.” He opened his mouth to speak again, but quickly closed it, and you noticed. “Say it, Captain. You never have been one to hold his words back.” You pushed him, feeding on his anger.

But all that anger seemed to be disintegrating. One moment it was there, and the next it was gone. Like your words flipped a switch inside him. He had this look on his face, like he was truly debating on his next words. “Say. It.” You demanded, necking craning upwards to look him in the eyes. His eyes fell closed, and a defeated huff passed his lips.

“Having your blood on my hands is something I can’t handle…” His voice was hushed, and now his eyes refused to meet yours. That was the last thing you expected him to say. He has always kind of coddled you, he was very protective. You always thought maybe it was because you were the newest member of the Task Force, but now you’re thinking it’s for another reason.

“W-What do you mean?” You asked, your mind went blank. All that anger was now mixed with a good dose of confusion. He didn’t speak, just ran his fingers through his hair, still avoiding eye contact. “Captain, look at me.” You uttered softly, and he didn’t listen. You’re not sure what overtook you in the moment, but your shaky hand reached towards his face.

“Please.” You begged, gripping his chin and forcing him to face you. When he didn’t pull away, you brought his face closer, your noses only inches apart. His eyes did finally flutter open, and you were greeted with a stoic, immersive shade of blue, you couldn’t look away.

“Captain, I–” He didn’t let you finish your thought, cutting you off by leaning in closer, pressing his lips against yours. They were soft, softer than you ever imagined. Especially compared to the coarse hair of his mustache and beard against your face. You even picked up on the taste of smoke, he had smoked one of his cigars recently.

All you could focus on at that moment was him. The way he placed your hands against his chest, you could feel his heartbeat through the soft fabric of his t-shirt. It was racing, ramming against the inside of his chest.

How his rough, calloused hands cupped the sides of your face, further melding your lips together. The way he handled you said a lot. He kissed you like he was in distress, barely giving you time to breathe between the last and next kiss, not that you were doing much breathing anyways. He made your body feel like jelly, your knees barely able to carry your body weight, so you gripped his t-shirt, tight, trying to steady yourself.

When he finally pulled away, he kept his forehead against yours. There was no talking, just heavy pants coming from the both of you. Did that really just happen? Was this a joke? You wanted to pinch yourself, wake yourself up from this dream. That’s when he spoke, breaking the silence, “‘m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.” He apologized, trying to create more distance between the two of you.

Luckily, you still had a hold of his shirt, stopping him. “Respectfully, Captain, shut up.” You chuckled, which earned a small smile from him as well. “Is this why you avoided me for two and a half months?” You asked, snaking your arms around his neck. “If you think I’ve only had these feelings for you for two and a half months, you're more delusional than I thought, Sergeant.” He chuckled this time, placing his hands on your hips.

“So, the real question is, am I still on desk duty?”

Juno in Aries people either get married quite young or they get married to someone younger or both things might occur

Juno in 1st house tho IS a big indicative of marring very young after having a love at first sight situation with the person

Also, Juno in Aries/1st house people will marry someone that is just like them in some way

Similar thing can happen if you have Juno in Leo/5th house, you guys just have very similar personalities and get along like buddies. You’ll definitely marry someone you’ll have lots of fun and laughs with

Venus-Chiron aspects indicates attracting third-party situations in relationships. It's not necessarily cheating (could be) but things along the lines of your partner being in a relationship when you meet them, falling for two people, etc.

I swear I’ve never seen Cancer and Taurus placements NOT ending up together

Mars in the 1st house synastry: honestly I really dislike this overlay. Yeah it creates great attraction blah blah but it’s honestly the most superficial overlay in my opinion cause it’ll only make you interested on how the other person presents themselves not wanting to look into deeper levels of their personality, which turns to be incredibly irritating in the long run. Not a good indicator for longevity in any connection.

Capricorn moon in the Juno persona chart indicates the marriage can feel a bit "serious" and maybe even traditional, could indicate unhappy marriage or a partner that is not emotionally expressive. This also indicates a marriage that is hard to break, I've seen this in people who felt the "obligation" to maintain the marriage for some reason

Eros is often interpreted as just a sexual asteroid but I've very much often observed that people end up committing to those who embody typical traits of their Eros sign which goes to show that Eros is also related to romantic/platonic attraction (just like in mythology) and not just sexual attraction

I've observed so so so many times Fire moons pairing up with Earth moons and these couples work surprisingly well together. Basically the earth moon calms down and grounds the fire moon and the fire moon person energizes and amuses the earth moon person. It's pretty cute.

I don’t know why people don’t talk about 2nd house synastry/heavy 2nd house in composite more often. 2nd house is significantly more common than 7th house in many long-term/married couples. This house literally represents stability and our sense of value, things we feel like are worth maintaining because of the value we give to them. Therefore 2nd house synastry or activated 2nd house in composite indicates you see potential of long-term stability in that relationship and you also value your connection together.

I don't think people talk about how commitment-phobic Scorpio/8th house Venus people can be a lot of times. They can be exactly what people think Aquarius Venus is. I’ve seen SOOOO many Scorpio/8th house venus people being super indulgent in their relationships like wanting an open relationship, avoiding labels, getting in on-and-off situatioships and even cheating sometimes. They are deep down very hedonistic and want to explore their sexuality. If they find someone they genuinely wanna settle with they'll be fiercely loyal, but they're not necessarily looking to get attached like that right off the bat cause they see love as giving someone the power to hurt you so a lot of times they just get into relationships to test the waters and if they find the love of their life great but if they don’t then they’re okay with just having a good time *wink wink*

People with moon in the 7th house are the type to dye their hair blond bc their crush likes blonde girls or stuff like that

I personally believe natives with Moon-Pluto aspects belong with people who also have Moon-Pluto aspects in their own natal chart (romantically), otherwise they will feel very misunderstood and alone in their own intensity. Although this can be a double-edged sword too

okay more thoughts on pride and prejudice as i begin chapter 39

1 i want to see lady catherine, mrs. bennet, and miss bingley in the same room together on a podcast panel debating things like marriage and childrearing etc but i dont think the world would be able to handle it

2 i’m interpreting mr. darcy as either being neurodivergent (possibly autistic) and/or having severe social anxiety — and this is really informing my entire perspective of his character (as a core theme to his character is being socially understood/misunderstood). however, i know its still very controversial to “diagnose” fictional characters and i don’t want to come off that way — but historical complications aside (the field of psychology didn’t exist back then how it does now) it’s really obvious to see that he’s not neurotypical, although i don’t know if this is an accepted thing in the austen world though!

3 i’m not buying that mr. darcy’s letter was only 2 pages long. 3 pages minimum with tiny handwriting maybe.

4 this entire novel really highlights the importance of social communication more than anything imo

5 mr. collins is fucking hilarious and his interactions with elizabeth are so accurate/relatable of what it’s like to deal with oblivious men as a female, esp. men who dont know how to take a hint — i was actually laughing out loud through his entire proposal sequence, especially at the line where it says elizabeth is trying hard not to laugh too. so familiar.

6 i wish we could see more of charles i actually like him — i also like colonel fitzwilliam and kind of wanted him to marry elizabeth - its kind of hilarious how casual the topic of marriage is with people you’ve just met & i really want to read more about regency history on marriage specifically now to figure out how much is embellished for satire purposes & how much is true to life

7 i have many thoughts on wickham but thats for a separate post

8 from what little i’ve read about p&p analysis/consensus so far, it seems mrs bennet and some other characters have already been torn to shreds over lit history to the point that its become more common to defend them & mrs bennet in particular, which i understand bc she’s supposed to be a satire on women of the time period but of course her concerns are valid and there are real economic reasons for her actions and societal norms that pertain to them. i’ve also read that it’s common for people to prefer mr bennet over his wife and to pit them against each other which can lead into misogyny & i can see this. however (im sure the bennet family ends up happy at the end, but at this point in the story) i think there are valid reasons for these interpretations which lead people to like mr bennet more than mrs bennet. after the ordeal with collins i really lost respect for mrs bennet for threatening to disown eliza & treating her so harshly, and i gained respect for mr bennet for sticking by eliza. i continuously defended mrs bennet and her behavior up until the collins proposal. i understand she’s desperate for eliza to marry so that she doesn’t become destitute etc. but mr collins simply isnt an ideal husband

9 eliza’s feelings on her friend marrying collins are so sad and relatable of how all of us feel when we watch a friend or loved one enter a shitty relationship and/or betray themselves or lose a part of their personality + the idea of having to mourn your friend especially upon growing up etc. but particularly as it relates to the lonely woman’s experience of finding one’s friends starting to center males & prioritize romance over friendship the older you get.

hope some of this is semi-intelligible - i save the grammar for my real essays - but felt like rambling

i think in my last post i was spelling “bennet” as “bennett” so i apologize for that lol - pls dont kill me janeites, i’m new here!!!

do you think it’s possible that bighit noticed that tkkrs were getting more invested in tae and jk’s relationship being romantic bc we thought they were being cut/hidden so they decided to just use that as a strategy to keep us invested even though there might not actually be anything to cover up. like there have been quite a few times where they’ve posted something tkk related like a picture/video that had tkk being cuddly or something and then quickly deleted it. for example that coffee ad they did where i think tae had his hand over jk’s on the counter. they posted it and then deleted it. and that’s happened more than once. i feel like they could be doing that on purpose to draw tkkrs attention to it and make us think they’re trying to hide it when in reality they’re not. bc i don’t rlly get why they’d post it in the first place then. like maybe they know that tkkrs make up a big chunk of the fandom and a lot of us r only here bc of tkk so they want to keep us invested in the story so as not to lose us. they know we notice these things and it only makes it more sus than if they were to just leave it.

No, not really, anon. That sounds like a whole lot of effort for no reason because it would be far more profitable for BH to actually take advantage of taekook's popularity and capitalise on their ship.

And I don't even think taekookers make up a big chunk of the fandom, but maybe I'm wrong. I think it's just that shippers are the loudest and most active online, and taekook is the most popular ship. In reality, we probably only make up a small part of the fandom, and the percentage of taekookers who actually think taekook are in a relationship is even smaller. So I'm sure BH have better things to do than come with strategies to keep us interested.

And let's not forget that BH cutting taekook moments is just one piece of the taekook puzzle. There's still all of the off camera moments, their interactions online, interviews, private dates, award show fancams, etc. There's so many other suspicious things about taekook that if BH were actually trying to keep taekookers invested, they wouldn't even need to do anything 🤷‍♀️

The coffee ad wasn't even BH, so there's not much to say about that. BH could have had something to do with it being deleted, but that's probably because they didn't want the attention on taekook. Things like that probably slip through the cracks every now and then and they don't realise until after the content has already been posted. If something gets deleted, it doesn't mean it was a calculated move. Maybe they just forgot to remove something they didn't want people to see?

jeeeeeeesus the third book in the devoured worlds series is such a mindfuck and i am loving it. seriously, if you trust my opinion on books at all—and want to devour an absolutely gorgeous queernorm science fiction trilogy (that kinda sorta maybe borders on horror and fantasy, but in a very good way) with a bi narrator (there are technically two narrators; this technicality hinges on the “interlude” chapters—but the male narrator is canonically bisexual) and an absolutely wonderful romance at its heart—read this series. i have an arc of book 3, but it comes out in may 2024 and books 1 and 2 are already out (they both released in 2023), so you won’t have long to wait and will have plenty of material to occupy you til then.

arguably my favorite part of the series is the worldbuilding bc of so many factors, but, to narrow it down to one specific thing and prevent this post from being pages long, it’s the idea of “printing.” i’m pretty sure i’ve talked about this on here before, but “printing” is essentially 3D printing a body in your “preferred print,” which can be adjusted from what you’re born in via little things (a la changing the shape of your nose) or big things (if you’re born with a penis, you can change it so your preferred print—your preferred body—has a vagina) which is a practice not only accepted but encouraged for trans people should they want to transition, and the aforementioned male narrator creates an organization to help poor people born in the wrong body print into their preferred one

but beyond that, there are so many other things that easily make this one of my all-time favorite book series ever (absolutely my only current favorite book series, to the point that i might actually reread it, which i haven’t done for any book in literal years. i only owned the ebook copies and got the print copies for Christmas so i could reread them in paperback and get everyone i live with to read them, too. that’s how much i love this book series). from the plethora of they/them characters (though admittedly i wouldn’t have minded some neopronouns; this is the future, after all) and the constant queer rep (beyond the two narrators, of the secondary characters, i’d say 80% of them are confirmed queer, while the rest either don’t have romantic relations on page and you thus can’t know for sure, or you can simply assume they’re queer in some capacity bc of context clues—a la one male character remarking on the hotness of another male character; this happened not too long ago in book 3) to the sheer brilliance of the science fiction, horror, and fantasy elements, to the fact book 1 is literally about the characters trying to figure out why an entire planet is honest to god fucking haunted, the horrific creep factor of the misprints, and the fact book 1 got me to care about a fucking spaceship beyond just that old “humans will get attached to anything” schtick (we got its pov in book 1!! i was emotionally devastated!!). plus, and while avoiding spoilers, if you like the fungus from the last of us, this series takes it a thousand steps further. and that’s not even touching on the absolutely gripping plots of all three books. i am obsessed.

and if you’re a character-driven reader like me, you’ll be thrilled that each and every character is multifaceted and endearing in myriad ways—even the shitty ones: looking at you, Fletch, and i fucking love Chiyo even with her finalizer wife—so you look forward to each and every one of them appearing on page.

MILD SPOILER: book 3 even introduces time travel, which could seem campy and ridiculous but is written in such a way that you can’t help but enjoy it. Megan E O’Keefe is fucking brilliant, my dudes END MILD SPOILER

christ i could ramble about this series all day, but that would mean i can’t continue reading book 3 and i really fucking wanna do that, so i’ll leave it here. here’s my reviews for book 1 The Blighted Stars and book 2 The Fractured Dark. just. go read this series, and then come yell at me about it. i want more people to read it so i can fangirl with you.

I’ll have to start that all of the boys wouldn’t judge or reject you based on your appearance, being either chubby, slim, tall, short, there are a few attributes that I think each turtle would find it e seeing or interesting, but it’s more… humanly related(?) maybe one day I’ll make a post about it if you guys wanna hear my opinion on it hehe :)

Donnie(generalized) x Chubby Reader:

just like there are certain stuff about the turtles that they like and dislike about themselves, there are stuff about humans who think the same about themselves! and even though Donnie knows there are beauty standards that control many areas in humans society, he still doesn’t understand why people outcast those who are different

I think some of us (readers / shippers) get a bit :C when thinking about Donnie bc in almost every version, he had a crush on April (who is a babe in every. Version. Specially rise, I love rise-April so much, and that’s the only apriltello I’ll let it slide lmao) and that can give a “perception” that he wouldn’t even glance at some of us ( “us” = being a huge group, trans, guys, chubby girls, chubby guys, skinny girls and guys, everyone who doesn’t fit the normie mold I guess- I unfortunately think about that often. Which sucks cuz I gotta remind myself that isn’t true!!! At all!!)

I personally Headcanon Donnie being… I don’t know if interested would be the correct word, but more intrigued with how humans relate to each other, on their first missions, he knew they could… scare some of them off, “frightened by their own prejudice” as master splinter would say, but it’s far more different to hear about it than to actually live it, and it hurts to hear someone scream their heart out just by seeing you

While growing up, he started to notice not only in television, on and off midia, how people would mess around with others on the street just because of their appearance, he knew society worked though this beauty standards, but he didn’t understand it. It didn’t made sense! value someone based on what they look like? There are so many things, so many attributes to make someone interesting, and you gonna pick the most…. Boring? Plain? Vague? Shallow reason to create privilege over others? Really? (And thst enters on the topic of how almost all beauty standards are rooted in white privileged and racism but I’ll go on a tangent about it once I start it and I’ve already said a lot lols)

He could literally go on for hours about this topic (which he has. At least tried with each one of his brothers, but they never really responded well to so said topic “if humans have it bad, then what do we have left?” Raphael barked back once, an attempt to shut him up, which it worked, btw- he didn’t like to go through that direction when thinking about that topic, but yeah, what does he have left?)

He started searching about different aesthetics, ethnicities, he has folders on Pinterest dedicated different body types, cultures, he swears it’s for research reasons, which kinda is, but Donnie’s guilty pleasure is checking “different” people online, those who would deem strange and weird outside the internet, he liked seeing their content and specially their comment sections being filled with wonderful compliments, people relating to different styles and tastes, that gave him hope that there are someone out there with different views of how everyone should be “shaped”, and that maybe he will find someone who thinks he’s handsome and desirable (Donnie, just like Raph, is also insecure about his body, but he’s more… melancholic about it, if you confessed to Raphael, there would be a high change of him pushing you away, trying not to break his heart from actually believing you, while DonDon here, if you both started dating- on some days Donnie would need more reassurance that yes, his partner does think he’s handsome/hot/attractive. Otherwise he might internalize his insecurities and it will be HARD to get a confession “why he’s so upset out of the sudden” from this turtle)

With that being said!!!! (My god I do know how to ramble) without even realizing, Donnie open his “preferences”? Let’s say, Became more open minded than most, While seeking comfort for himself, and when he says he doesn’t have a type, he really doesn’t. There are so many aesthetics that could be attractive! punks, goths, cottagecore, y2k, dark academia, light academia, grunge, fairycore, alt, the list is endless! And don’t get him started on physical attributes cuz there are so many different combinations that some how, people manage to connect the most random ones and make it look great

Donnie wouldnt fall for someone specially bc of their appearance, or that would be the first reason he would fall head over heels, when you think about it, what happened to April it was that she was extremely passionate and dedicated to *insert which cause she was fighting for* and took Donnie seriously, that light up a lightbulb in his head that has never been on before, people showing how ardently they can be into something, how much they care and such, that’s attractive to him, and after that, everything that person does, or is, suddenly becomes beautiful and amazing for Donnie

Withthatbeingsaidpart2- if Donnie did fall for someone more on the chubbier side, their “plumpy-ness” would def be something to call his attention out after he developed feelings, he longed for your hugs, specially after he found out how soft and warm they were, he actually started having more naps after you caught his heart, imaging how it would be to cuddle someone as soft as you while hugging his pillow late at night on his bed (which eventually he would doze off from day dreaming so much)

Talking about day dreaming, Donnie can totally lose himself in his mind, just like with his projects, he can imerse himself in a fantasy about you two easily, which makes him totally freeze when you show up and he actually have to say or do something he has been constantly dreaming about

So please confess first, cuz when I say he can lose himself in his daydreams, that can last for months until he actually gathers courage to do something about it

While in a relationship, Donnie is totally a hopeless romantic, but not the typical “roses and candlelight’s dinner” kind, as your boyfriend, he wants to help you out no matter what, he will make aaaaas many inventions as he can that might increase the quality of your life, becomes easier to do… whatever, literally. And he always longs for your adorable reactions to his gifts

He adores your chubby cheeks, he will! Get lost! in your face! Your eyes! Eveything! He will oh so slowly caress his knuckles softly across it, sliding to your neck, traveling through your arms, he likes to squish your face a bit as well while cupping it when he goes for a kiss, he just thinks everything about you is adorable (and hot at the same time)

He really like the contraste his skin has with yours, it’s so foreign for him and he can’t help but to love how smooth your skin can be, (which leads his mind to ahem. Certain kind of thoughts. If you know what I mean)

Just like he needs reassurance about his appearance, he knows you probably had to deal with more than one unpleasant comment about your physique, so you don’t even have to ask, Donnie is so whipped with you, compliments about you just drip of his tongue, and it’s always so sweet, followed by a pair of soft eyes, always admiring you, plus, Donnie is a science / fact man, he would gather information about other cultures that value more curvy, chubby, bigger people, he would go as far as making a slide presentation how wonderful and more inclusive people are being (even if it doesn’t seams like it, and there’s still a long way to go) he would include real opinions online other than his on the matter that your body is indeed, a snack, (aaaaaand he is once again right, aaaaand just like everyone else you just have to live with it and accept it 😌 end of story)

He would definitely “put up to test” his theory of how amazing it is to cuddle someone who’s more on the chubbier side (and his theory is ✅ correct)

Cuddling becomes a weekly thing for you guys, that being you sitting on his lap, having naps, watching movies together, he loves to create or update his projects with you on his lap, holding you grounds him. Plus it’s easier to speak some kisses on your cheeks that way

He finds out some people on the heavier side stops themselves to live some experiences the hard way, he never wants to make you uncomfortable, ever. But it takes a while for him to understand why wouldn’t you like to, as an example, wear a bathing suit/ swimwear around other people, wearing lighter clothes when it’s absurdly hot during winter time, that you don’t like when he picks you up? things that don’t connect right away. he promises himself to never force you to do anything you don’t want to, but he slowly will try to support you to do whatever you have always wanted to but stopped yourself from doing so bc of your weight

He would take extra time while making out with you, he wants you to know how much he loves your body, every inch of it. Lowkey likes to drag his nails on your tights and mark you

Overall? Donnie is extremely thoughtful, independently of how his partner look like, if they were “part” of some sort of outcast from society, he would take his sweet time to show how important and special his partner is, he is extremely thankful to be able to experience love, something that not only him, but all of the boys, thought it was out of their reach for a really long time, so you bet he’s going to show how appreciative he is oof your love, of all of you 💜

I really tired to innovate a bit here, didn’t want to add the same stuff as other Headcanons that already exists (I mean, Its cute to read how we as writing blogs / authors “agree” on how the boys would react in certain situations, which it is a FactTM that Donnie is a sweetheart. but it’s also good to read new stuff, oooor you know, a new perspective of it, even if it is a “common” / “already done” scenario, you know? )

i am aware this is very unlike my normal posts but it’s stressing me the fuck out bc of how many mutuals are reblogging stuff about it and bc of concerning language used in some of the posts.

THIS ISSUE IS NOT ABOUT TRANS MEN IDK WHY EVERYONE KEEPS BRINGING US UP.

i have not seen anyone i follow say directly that trans men aren’t oppressed, but ive seen a few posts that indirectly insinuate it reblogged onto my dash. and i have been assuming the people who reblogged it just didn’t read the post thoroughly, but i saw someone genuinely say trans men aren’t oppressed in the notes of one of these posts (it was not someone i follow) and that’s fucking insane. an afab trans person (not a trans man, but someone who would face similar oppression) was brutally murdered in oklahoma just recently and jkr’s manifesto directly talks about trans men and afab nonbinary people in a disgusting, infantilizing fashion.

anybody who supports posts like that is getting blocked, mutual or not. including ones that claim transandrophobia isn’t real (it’s misogyny. transandrophobia is trans-specific misogyny that is called that because why tf would transmascs misgender themselves in a term they made. nobody is claiming misandry is real i have literally never seen that and that’s why the term was changed to transandrophobia instead of transmisandry. in addition, a lot of trans men don’t pass and therefore get to experience all the wonderful privileges (/s) of being viewed as gender nonconforming women. even ones who pass can be visibly queer as well. and much of the current anti-trans legislation specifically targets trans men who need top surgery as teenagers, which is a rare case but some do need it, and exceptions for breast-related surgeries on cis female teenagers is specifically written into much of this legislation).

people bringing trans men up in this context is suspicious as fuck because as far as i’m aware, there aren’t any trans men directly involved in this situation at all. it’s cis terfs, the cis ceo of tumblr, and trans women, particularly one, with the fbi car hammers thing, but there’s many more involved. bringing up trans men for any reason just distracts from the actual point of everything, doesn’t it? why is attention towards an unrelated issue being brought forth

Ok so same person here. I totally get being uncomfortable about people knowing certain things about you and deleting it hence me staying on anon myself too lol. I was curious why it was gone so suddenly and wanted to know why you deleted/additional thoughts or whatever else bc it is a very interesting loaded thing. I didn’t really need to copy the whole post’s text bc like I said I don’t think what you were saying matches all of that obviously but just a couple certain sentiments. It was never that your assertion about the history of it was wrong, I think it was more the sort of enlightened slightly superior attitude about it all in critiquing the original “cringe uwu bdsm” post and afterwards. Not even that it’s anything I would necessarily say myself, but I think the level of harm/cringiness/negativity attached to it was kinda disproportionate and I think that’s mostly what reminded me of the other post I saw later on. To say you don’t pass judgement seems a bit removed from the rest of your argument. It seems like maybe there’s a slight projection going on about not getting something that other queer folks do get and feeling left out bc of that. Which is fair bc that is frustrating and difficult and it’s okay to not enjoy things and voice that. I think for me the biggest thing is that since puritanical values are so incredibly rampant if someone (especially someone of a historically oppressed group hence mentioning it before) feels love, respect, and tenderness in kink it’s pretty much always okay to leave that alone! Not to say it’s an inherently revolutionary act, but I just don’t think the amount of “cringe” (therefore shame/embarrassment) assigned to it was necessary. Is acknowledging the history and psychoanalysis of it all more important than whatever love suffering people feel? Because joy (in this matter and others) is hard to find and maintain coupled with such intensive psychoanalysis, history, etc. I feel like in leftist spheres we are often so obsessed with the type of language, arguments, and perspectives you use. And I worry because of it we don’t leave enough room for love and it’s active practice for ourselves and others. You sound very smart and I appreciate your perspective and I follow you for a reason because I am always interested in your commentary in posts so thanks for responding to my first hastily sent half baked msg lol mostly just wanted to hear/know more about ur opinion and why it disappeared

that post sucked, its so corny, i dont think im being disproportionally negative to make one post about something being annoying on my blog. but youre right there is something about “not getting something other queer folks get” because my experiences with my sexuality are completely different than what you described about respect and tenderness and so on. i am also from a “historically oppressed” group btw and i dont really get the significance of mentioning this repeatedly. if bdsm is something that serves that purpose for someone, thats cool, for many other people sadomasochism is more pathological and detrimental to their lives, and i dont think that manifestation is something totally separate from healthier practices. human sexuality is dark and complex when i talk about it i dont want to have to frame it in such positive terms that flatten out all its contradictions and complexity. again this is something relevant to my life so theres a reason why im in interested in a psychoanalytic approach to it. i could easily say theres something you dont get about an entire dimension to this. and why do people assume by talking about history youre making someone pass a moral judgement, saying the history is more important than the thing itself. im a marxist and i like history including the history of sexuality. i want to talk about it because i find it interesting and related to a lot of things ive studied and relevant to understanding human relations. thank you for messaging me back, i appreciate it & if you wanna talk more dm me.

We don’t know the plot of the play or if it’s relevant to S5 but saying that connecting some current events to the past (and more specifically to the adults’) would be a complete retconning is a bit unfair. I remember watching S1 for the first time and wondering what happened between Joyce and Hopper, between Lonnie and Hopper, why has Joyce such a bad reputation in Hawkins but also such strong intuition, what happened to her aunt, why did Hopper feel cursed, and since it looked like Will was targeted, were all these things connected? I’m sure they didn’t have all the details mapped out back then but maybe a general idea (ala Freddy Krueger possibly). Maybe it’s bc I was less focused on the kids than others that I noticed these things.

I didn't say it was all retconning. I said specifically Joyce knowing Bob in high school would be a retcon when it's explicitly stated she did not know him.

With the play being canon and all, going back on that would indeed be a retcon. Not the worst one ever but it does mess with me a little when even smaller details like that get rerewitten later.

Like, Bob had a whole thing about Joyce being the it girl and he was a nobody in high school and was bullied, but now he's a well adjusted dude in the future dating Joyce Byers and he's content. Ya'know? I guess it still works even if they knew each other but....

I also said I'm confused a bit about the timelines. We don't know their exact ages but I thought Henry was a bit younger than Joyce and Hopper so connecting them directly is gonna be odd. I feel like the best route would be indirectly which I described in my other post. Writing in a personal grudge against them is a bit much. But a curse on the whole town because of something loosely related to them? Makes sense.

I think Hopper definitely knew Bob, he even calls him by his bully nickname "Bob the Brain" in season 2. I don't think Hopper himself was a bully but who knows.

Then you got Lonnie. Still don't think there's a direct connection to Henry at this point but I wouldn't be surprised if Lonnie bullied people in school such as Bob or Henry.

Anyway. It doesn't mean I'm not interested in Joyce and Hopper's past. I'm extremely curious since even Winona and David talk about it all the time. I just hope they keep everything in line since this is supposed to be a canon play. There is much to learn here but I will write some of it off if it starts contradicting the show itself like many of the comics.

While I am expecting to find out Henry's reasoning for all this, I don't expect we'll be learning why Will was targeted. They seem to be saving that for season 5. But I think we can get some clues.

I think we'll discover Henry's "trigger", what made him realize he had powers. We'll find out his moment that made him so sad and angry.

If I were to try and relate this to my own theories, such as Will having powers, it'd be pretty important to figure out what kind of person as potential and how to bring that out of someone in ways besides experimentation.

Finding out about Joyce's past in particular is a curious subject. They've hinted at family issues in the past. When Joyce was so persistent that she sensed Will around before but couldn't anymore, Lonnie immediately brings up, "Maybe it's like your aunt", implying her aunt "sensed" stuff or was generally a weirdo or had mental issues, which Joyce immediately denies.

That could be "connecting things to the past" leading to the reason why Will was targeted if Joyce passed along some potential powers to him or something.

I dunno. We shall have to see~

some personal shit.. (non sims 4 related, or maybe a little bit at the end of this post lol)

i recently found out that i’m autistic. which explains a lot of my issues in the daily life. it was a shock but at the same time it was such a relief to found out bc it gave me so many answers to all the questions i’ve had throughout the years. now i know why some things are hard for me and why i am the way i am.

i don’t really know why i am writing this.. but honestly i don’t talk much about this irl with the people i know. when i told some people that i know the response was like - “but you don’t look autistic” and stuff like that. so, does autism have a face now?? no it doesn’t. it makes me angry when people are like “no, you’re not autistic, if you were we would have known” and stuff like that. but believe me, i’ve always known that it was something. i’ve always known that i functioned differently. maybe i didn’t know it was autism, but i knew it was something.

i’m glad that i got in touch with the psychological care. now i get the help and the tools i need to cope with everyday life.

but i do have a long way to go still, there’s still some stuff i’m trying to figure out. there’s still some stuff i’m learning about myself. for example, i can’t work right now. i’m seeing everyone else just go to work, or go to school, and making money and seeing friends and all of that social life stuff. but i’m mostly at home because i can’t do shit right now. i’m also living with anxiety & depression in addition to my autism. and i haven’t been able to work for three years now. i do study to pass grades that i didn’t get in high school. i didn’t get an exam. but right now i’m having a break from school as well bc i’ve been at my lowest.

i just want to be able to work. i want to be done with school. i want to get out there. but for me, it all takes some time. i get contributions (do u call it that in English? when u get money from the state example bc you’re sick or there’s other reasons you can’t work, or you need some more time to finish school) anyway, that’s how it works in sweden so luckily i manage financially for now. but i don’t have all the time in the world to pass school. i’ve applied for another year of financial support so that i can finish school. but I haven’t gotten a response yet and that’s stressing me out because my currently financial contributions ends in july.

so yeah.. now u know a little bit about me & my life. don’t really know what i wanted out of this, i think i just needed to write about this and get it out of my brain. i’m not looking for answers or compassion or anything. more like, a reminder that we all go through though things. and that we’re not alone in it.

i also want to thank the sims community and my mutuals and like, yeah this game in general. bc it honestly is a lifesaver sometimes. you can just disappear from the real world a little bit. and since i can’t work right now, i’m playing a lot of sims and hanging out in here and talking to other simblrs and it really brightens my days. so thank you! <3

Okokok bc this is actually bothering me—did billy hargrove have powers or not?!?!?! Like, first of all, fuck him, but—was he “sensitive”? In the sense that he had, at least, like Terry-Ives-pre-experiment “potential” that could be “activated” by unethical experimentation/electrocution/etc (which is how i understand terry ives’ powers ig). In general, i picture having powers like el’s as a genetic thing that environmental factors—whether during pregnancy/relating to the mother or external factors after the fact—can cause to be “activated” & i use the term “sensitive” to refer to that potential, regardless of strength. I can’t tell jow clear im being rn/if everybody else is on the same wavelength or it i need to give a bunch more context—i’ve seen billy-with-powers stuff but thats most like from fans of billy which…

It would make sense. I’m operating from the standpoint of Will, Barb, & all (or at least some, at least the ones who got the slug treatment & weren’t being eaten asap) of the people “taken” by the demogorgon in season one as likely being “sensitive” in that sense, and i have a whole explanation about that but—

I don’t see the flayed as being the same. The flayed are a stepping stone. Except billy. Billy isn’t mushed into the overall flesh monster. The way billy is controlled is different—if billy is “sensitive,” i don’t think he’s very strong tbh, but he does fight back at the end. Was Heather sensitive, or was it just that El touched her & got inside her head… GAH. i woulda loved to see how much autonomy the other flayed had, the difference between the flayed and will’s experience needs to be elaborated on more bc i have thoughts but i really should just lay them all out & then go & ramble about me theorizing but like—

Max. Max was able to get into Vecna’s mindscape. Vecna was surprised by this. Is this a sign of latent abilities, or a creative use of the human mind that any ordinary person could potentially learn/use? I’m leaning towards the latter tbh.

I don’t think the sacrifices had powers. But i’m trying to figure out the limitations of vecna’s powers. Lucas was correct: all the targets had repressed trauma, something they were trying to hide. But i feel like nancy was an outlier—they were in the upsidedown when she was vecna’d, which you bet your bottom dollar made it easier to “get” her—plus the gates are open. Reaching through time and space and dimensions with no gate and “finding” people is a different matter, & probs a lot harder. What vecna did to nancy is more like what he did to his family, really. But why the obsession with nancy?????? Just because she thwarted him so many times—like MIKE, i might add—or because of something more???

And then vecna/henry has his “i see everything” bullshit but i don’t buy that i think being connected to the hivemind has certain benefits but i think he’s a narcissistic asshole who thinks he’s stronger than he is. Max is right—he sees the darkness. So—if nancy’s an outlier (maybe) then why… what is the unifying factor in the people he saw in his mindspace scene, why is it mostly teens? Bc that unifying factor can’t just be trauma, ALL of the kids have trauma. If we knew what the unifying factor was for the people vecna can “see” in his mind’s eye, that would be another limitation on vecna’s power, and we could rule out some potential targets. Does it have to do with parental neglect/abuse? Generally unhealthy family dynamics? Basically, is vecna seeking out people he can project onto for his sacrifices?

I really truly believe mike was a planned target for henry & that leaving hawkins saved his ass bc targeting mike makes SENSE—but it would be easy to make a different argument & i would buy it, because we DON’T HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION. I’ve seen some posts/fics that posit that Henry targeted people with a history of suicidal ideation, passive or otherwise—but we don’t have enough information to make that determination. But there ARE more limits to his powers, too—i don’t think he has much of a reach beyond hawkins, bc of limits of his powers. But THEN, most of this is speculation—i could point to my reasons for thinking these things (i really need to do that at some point) but that doesn’t—all of it could be disproven next season bc it’s too tentative & we don’t know enough.

Okay. Billy. What was the point of this man? What was his function? Why does vecna want another will, bc from my seat he looks kinda like he’s using will as a fill-in for el (smol child to project onto & take over the world with), and for will’s powers. So… will’s function in season 2. Vecna doesn’t want will dead then, we know this, maybe that’s changed since but again, CAN’T SAY EITHER WAY. Billy isn’t killed like the other flayed & made into jello… but having a human is useful for human things? & human things are necessary when one is taking over the world? & billy doesn’t have an easy home life, vecna could very easily be projecting here.

Like genuinely what was the point of them? What is the master plan? I mean i have my Thoughts obviously but then I want to go back & rewatch & gather evidence & refine bc this is Bothering Me.

zadie as a jay girly on tumblr who struggles to find fics for him sometimes, i agree with you!! ive expressed this in a prior ask and to other blogs too, there’s not enough jay fics!! there’s so many writers that have jay in their bias line but never post about him whether it’s just pics or putting out fics for him. there’s a shortage of smaus and long fics for him especially. but ig bc it’s how u said people will beg for it but then not interact. it’s so sad at times because he’s literally straight out of a romance movie and as i’ve said before he fits so many diff tropes. there are days where ill go to his smut tags and nothing is added to it for days or its mostly stuff for other members. but there’s always something new on the other members tags. like hello jay is so sexy please give me smut i beg!!!

i don’t really reblog because i am just a reader on tumblr and don’t want anyone to find my acc, but i def will try to because ik writers love that way more. but when there is jay content omg i put it in my likes right away. i usually also send my feedback through anon and tell them i loved it! there’s this one jay fic that’s an absolute masterpiece but only has like 200ish notes. which isn’t bad but i swear it deserves like 3,000+. maybe i’ll send the link in another ask if you’re interested in reading it. it’s a fake dating/kind of rich kid/college au! it also features other idols and i swear i read it like once every three months.

ik it’s not that deep but this whole thing kind of extends over to sfw/non fic related content on twitter too. i feel like sometimes he doesn’t get the hype he deserves and it breaks my heart cause jay has expressed that he’s not super confident in himself. i just hope he knows he’s very very loved. i remember there was a time a lot of the jay update accounts that had 10k+ followers started selling their accounts to some random crypto/nft bots and stuff and it was so sad. i don’t play about jay, im not normal about him i just want him to know that we love him so much MY BABYYYY 😭😭😭

Ok, I live tweeted a rewatch of Study in Pink

And I had a lot of thoughts about it, but main take away was how much I found myself genuinely enjoying it for the first time in years without getting depressed or bitter.

Like a “it is what it is and I’m still going to have fun” attitude.

So it’s Sherlock rewatch day

For the anniversary of SiP.

I’ve had so much distance on this show since it ended. I wouldn’t say I never rewatch it but I certainly put it down a few months after with the intention of never getting back into it in the same way.

I still know every line of this episode

Probably of the entire first season

It’s not bad, not this first season, but there’s still glaring issues to me that jump out considering the changes they made from the Pilot to the aired SiP episode.

Let’s be honest, Greg Lestrade is the best bit of this whole damn show.

“How do people keep themselves safe?”

“Well, don’t commit suicide.”

Rupert Graves’ deadpan delivery got me on that one this time.

Listen, Lestrade is the one thing I won’t pick apart.

Give points to the editing in this show.

Pretty op tier throughout

Cut from John “who was the first” to the zipper body bag reveal of Sherlock, upside down

Everything about that is really good.

Try not to think “wasted potential” every 10 minutes of this challenge 😂

I Will forever headcanon Sherlock as ace/gay and unbothered by people knowing or finding out. He formally came out to Mrs Hudson and because he loves her, cares not for her parading his business.

Hudson: establishes John is NOT Sherlock’s boyfriend

Immediately relate that she’s ok with it all but in a way she thinks is subtle

Spend the rest of the episode “outing” Sherlock to John

“Please date my awkward son, Mr Army Man, he’s lonely”.

Season 1-2 Hudson is the other greatest character in this show let’s be honest

So many possibilities set up in such a short screen time.

I think contrary to previous belief that actually Sherlock being a “villain” for lack of a better word here is set up pretty well in ep 1 and that thread is continued well in ep 6, but I think they dropped the ball in between.

“Stay away from Sherlock Holmes” is appealing—they could’ve set him up better to be misunderstood by all except those closest to him, and have Holmes not pretend to be anything he isn’t

But I think the whole weird sociopath thing really funked with that thread.

God there’s about to be a million and one fix it fics in my head after this isn’t there?

Mark Gatiss as Mycroft is also great casting I just god really loathe the writing of this Mycroft

“Yada Yada bully Mycroft we know, Ro”

It could’ve been a goofy joke! Between brothers! Sherlock reluctantly “Yeah thanks for checking out my new roommate bro but we’re chill” Mycroft laughs it off

No real creepy older brother, he doesn’t spy on them after that, drops the whole Bond villain act etc

This is in fact one of my least favorite Watson’s on screen

(Fanon John doesn’t count he’s cool and soft)

The characters play off each other and it’s silly goofy

Still just a fun watch

Ik I complain alot but it’s nice to have this goofy little first season

This show also could’ve been a deep little meditation on mental health but that and the whole “Sherlock does drugs” bit were missed potential

Phil Davis plays such a creepy Jefferson Hope/cabbie killer

I like the moments too where he and Sherlock have little calmer funny human moments

What gets me is that Holmes is very close to canon age in this (BC was like 34) but damn trying to picture a 5 or maybe 8 year younger man playing this but versus the cabbie over the pills just imagine.

The confrontation with Hope is super well written and still fanfic fodder for days

Hope playing up on this Holmes’s need to be right, his addiction to solving puzzles for stimulation

At the time his inability to look beyond himself for solutions

—this Holmes was willing to risk death for a stupid brain game (he was wrong) (he was so self centered in that moment he believed he was right despite it being very easy to see he was wrong)

Missed beat on the mental health note— assume a Sherlock who back of his head realizes he’s being goaded into taking the wrong one and back of his mind /doesn’t/ care. Instead of asking Hope if he’s right he just chucks the thing away, frustrated because the moment is gone.

“Are you alright”

“Yes of course I’m alright”

“You have just killed a man”

“That’s true..

… but he wasn’t a very nice man”

This departure from the pilot script right here set up the toxic relationship between these two and every time I mourn the loss.

Instead of John getting real and trusting Sherlock, “I saw men die in the war good men” and admitting his ruined sleep because of it. Instead of “I’ll sleep fine tonight,” because Sherlock gave him a war worth fighting for

We get a joke, a little laugh

And this only continues.

Anyways I always get a little laugh at the wonky Mycroft dialogue that’s there just to end the episode with “Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson” as the final words

This show has always been goofy and it makes it fun to revisit.

Happy 13th, Sherlock.

MIZAEL

First impression: TERRIFIED!! He was stupidly pretty and had a dragon, I knew he would end up a favorite, but I didn’t know how MUCH of a favorite, I needed to know what his problem was dhdhdhd

Impression now: I can't even put into words how much I love Mizael sometimes omfg, he had such an impact on me and I'm a little saddened at how quickly he was removed from the story in the end I need to rewatch more of his scenes, I'm very insecure about how I write Mizael and I really want to get his voice down One day I’ll finish his cosplay wig too, if I style all of the wigs for my favorite ships, I can convince people to cosplay with me surely (copium)

Favorite moment: His introduction is wild, like both him arriving to Alito and Girag but also him challenging Yuma Miza just shows up, shoots Tori with an energy blast, and then is just like we're dueling But then COMPLETELY forgets about Yuma as soon as Kaito shows up and whips his dragon out Also love when they have their little Barian meetings where they just bicker, they're truly real housewives

Idea for a story: I always have Mizael and Kaito ideas gjdkslajg Whether they're fics or oneshots, time usually tells, but my drafts definitely have quite a few for them saved Usually lots of dragon focused ones, obsessed with the idea of Photon and Tachyon eloping and them having to just deal with it Mizael going over dragons with Haruto...

Unpopular opinion: I don't know if there is anything the small Miza community doesn't agree on honestly jgdsklaj I'll just start drama, Miza's not a natural blonde

Favorite relationship: I feel like I don’t even need to say haha, Kaito and Mizael are incredible and I am cursing Zexal forever for not giving them more time because I feel like I'm blowing out steam looking at all of the loose threads I also love how much Durbe and Mizael respect each other, there's clearly a bond there between them, wish we saw it more I also wish we could have seen more of Mizael and Nasch since you can tell Mizael revered him quite a bit-

Favorite headcanon: Mizael 100% moved in with the Tenjos!!!!!!!

TAKERU

First impression: Oh I KNEW I was gonna love him the second I saw his face omg I did the bad fan thing where I had to pull up the wiki bc the Vrains episode I was watching at the time didn't answer a really niche question I had about something someone said and the "related pages" tab on Yusaku's character page had Takeru's face on it So I had to find him I speedran my Vrains watch to get to him and boy was I rewarded

Impression now If you asked me in 2021 who my favorite yugioh was, I'd tell you Takeru Homura in a heartbeat Literally was only dethroned as my favorite by Kaito recently Takeru would be the next character I deep dive and dissect if given the chance, I just think he's so cool, I love how well done he is, I think he's one of the best done characters in the franchise His deck is fun, his design is fun, I've cosplayed both Takeru AND Soulburner now, working on slick back look one day when I don't have cosplay deadlines I just... love him, he's one of my favorite voices to write through, I always find an excuse to drabble as Takeru, whether it's something I post or not, and I am always at home when it's with him

Favorite moment: ALMOST ALL OF THEM!!! BOTH OF THE DUELS WITH REV! HIS INITIAL ENTRANCE! HIS FLASHBACK SCENES! BEING CRINGEFAIL!!! AAHHHH!!!!

Idea for a story: Oh I've got a REALLY hefty 3+1 fic that's gonna tie in with recoil week that explores all of Takeru's relationships gjdkla Here is a very small bit from the first chapter:

The first time Homura Takeru thought he fell in love, he was a young boy intimidated by a pretty girl. He doesn’t remember many of the details of how he met Kiku. It was a portion of his memories that lived in what feels like a lifetime ago, before everything had suddenly slipped out of his young grip. He just knew that he was a scared boy overwhelmed by her kindness and spirit the moment they met while he was on a trip to visit his grandparents. It was an instant connection. Kiku had pulled on his hand and pulled him into the light, smiled and laughed with him whereas the other kids at the time hadn’t. He’d almost call it foreshadowing. Having her in his life made the sudden change of up and moving out to the country after his parents’ deaths a little easier. Within a month of moving, they were almost inseparable. And the following years as well, no matter how hard it got.

So stay tuned for that!

Unpopular opinion: I'm so sorry but I'm about to be a hater But the fact that Takeru haters even exist is really fascinating to me since most of his other counterparts are rather beloved Like he's got more fans that haters for sure, but I've seen every single one who has a think piece say "Takeru's only there to show off the card game" as if Salamangreat wasn't released in the OCG until July while Takeru has been showing off the deck since May, but I digress Yusaku's entire arc was finished in season 1, he got all of his answers, protected Ai to the very end, and was ready to move on. Yusaku just being a fix-it man for an entire second season? Would be BORING. So they needed a second voice to duo-lead, a new one with new motivations who hasn't already been shown, but could be tied back in a meaningful way. And what characters were left we knew very little about? The Ignis. What was unveiled in Season 1 about the Ignis? They're tied to six children, and we've now seen 2 of them. Also it's? Yugioh? Do you expect them NOT to show off cards and real strategies so you go spend your real life money on product? Remember Yuri randomly using an Ancient Gear deck in Arc V when the structure was starting to come out? Or most of duelist of the week duelists from GX? The animes are nothing but product placement and rule explanations (nit picking hating, but takeru's also written strangely sometimes, it's rare but some will make him way dumber or submissive than he is)

Favorite relationship: I'm a degenerate and beyond predictable And I've mentioned that I love Firestorm already, but if we're being very honest for a second, I always see it as one-sided with how Yusaku's written with Takeru,,, Like sometimes we overcome that gap and look at the potential because oh my god giving Yusaku someone like Takeru was SUCH a good idea, but I usually see it as a one-sided pining, but a VERY close friendship Yusaku in my head ALWAYS goes to Takeru's village post canon to apologize for leaving BUT I'm a degenerate, as I said about So to say I love Takeru and Ryoken's dynamic, from start to finish, is an understatement I love that they draw out the best of each other and push each other beyond their preexisting limitations as well as the shackles of their pasts I love that Ryoken respected Takeru's feelings so much that he didn't want to insult him by outright refusing the first challenge, but couldn't bring himself to duel knowing it wouldn't resolve anything I love how Soulburner accuses Revolver of not following up on that in Duel Links I fucking love "I'm so glad I met you", above all else I love finally seeing a conclusion to one of the many side rivalries, and I had a renewed appreciation for it after finishing Zexal and realizing what could have been there I also actually like how the dub handled their farewell scene, the promise of future challenges, Revolver promising to be there when they need him, the fond little chuckle

Favorite headcanon (more drug cw on this one!!) It's a weird one and it's kinda personal I guess, but I always write Takeru as sober gkdsa As a punk, I can imagine him dipping into more unsavory behaviors as a way to cope and express when he's struggling to find the next step, so when he decides to start fresh and live a new life, he cuts terrible habits like those cold turkey

I just think It’s weird how people on here act like they know everything going on in someone’s life just by reading their tumblr blog. Not to not all men but just so everyone knows.. not everyone in the military raped and murdered little children. Everyone saying like. “Oh so you’re fine with being married to someone who went to afghanistan and raped little girls and tortured and brutally murdered everyone in a five mile radius?????” Or just. I don’t know it’s just kind of dumb. Obviously that happens a lot in the military but……….. and also you don’t know their relationship either, so. You weren’t there which means you’ll never know the full story, just what kelly posts online. I’m not even the biggest fan of her, I don’t follow her, Im generally critical of women who marry men, et cetera. But I can see that it’s just stupid. You can’t know everything about someone just from online, for example, I hadn’t posted on my blog for months because I was in inpatient and wanted to actually focus on my recovery, but I had many people in my inbox, as well as mutuals talking, and everyone had a different idea to what had happened to me. Literally no one thought I was in inpatient since I hadn’t ever posted about it before (my blog is a fandom blog, so I don’t talk much about my personal life when it’s not in relation to the book). I don’t know. I think these people are just kind of dumb and maybe they need to go do something with their life. Call their mom, walk their dog, develop a sense of self awareness, and so forth.

listen he may be the worst person ever or the best man in the world, at the end of the day i literally don’t know him & yeah a man being in the military doesn’t mean he’s a rapist who killed brown ppl and raped every woman in his path. but i can understand not trusting him bc he’s in the military as well. like this is a specific person they’re talking about rather than them listing things the US military has been proven to have done. if we wanna argue that he’s probably the type or person who might overlook such issues then fine ok i can get that, if they wanna be like i can never trust or like a guy like that, fine sure. if they think hes unethical i get that too. but coming up with horrible scenarios and insisting it must’ve happened and thus it’s justifiable to hate on a random woman on tumblr bc she’s married to a guy in the military and the military is bad is perhaps 😭 just a little bit overboard? we do not know their relationship. we don’t know him or what he’s like to her or how she feels or anything else bc even ppl who talk about their lives on here aren’t telling u everything ever. we don’t know their lives like that n while i get it if ppl don’t like her bc no one can be liked by everyone, it’s just too much when ppl speculate and take ppls personal lives so personally in that way.
