2022 Sculpture Recap: Part 4

Sculpture complete!

This is Cari Tyd.

She's a silversmith by trade, but is know to go on the occasional pastoral adventure (particularly if it is for a cute priestess). She is missing a finger on her right hand because she was caught hunting in the Forest of the Gods and now she can't draw a bow.

Her tunic is modeled after a short chiton. It is actually cotton fabric glued to aluminum foil to make a sandwich. This made it a little easier to form the folds around her body, but did make the garment thicker and heavier, for better or worse. The belt is sewn with a wire inside and is pulled closer to her body by thread running under her right arm.

I'm really happy with how these rocks turned out by the end.

New character!

Here’s Fred Whitethorn! He’s Dr. Dickenme’s nephew, who begins to work with her after finding out about her secret lab and experiments. Fred is a depressed, anxious wreck, who’s prone to many negative emotions and has a nicotine addiction, although he used to be much happier in the past, before everything that’s happened to his town. Also, he’s the main character in a series that takes 10 years before the events of LAB RABBITZ, called The Coffee Kids (which I may work on eventually, since it’s a prequel to what I’m focused on.)

One thing I do want to mention is that the toxicity of the town actually causes peoples’ colors to be more saturated, which is why I drew him side-by-side with his younger counterpart, to show what’s happened color-wise.
