So the usual dynamic with Percy and Marcus-and/orOliver is Massive Nerd x Fit Jock. But what do you think about it being Massive Nerd (who is secretly also a fit jock) x Fit Jock (who is secretly a massive nerd) like they're both feeding into this side of each other that is supposedly "out of character" for everyone else?

I guess you are right! Bigger public tends to view people as one dimensional beings, especially if introduced to theese characters thru magazine articles and gossip. And with the people in question being percy, marcus and/or oliver you can clearly see why. Each of them is a determined hard worker, maybe even obsessive towards their field of interests. And while what does it for percy is ministry and law regulations, to which he indulges in on his office job, oliver and/or marcus are focused on a sports game, not just flying but coming up with strategies and analysing plays. They would have to have the patience to sit down and spill their thoughts in a coherent form on paper. So that makes all 3 of them huge nerds by technicality)

As for a secretly fit nerd... Y'know that PE in schools and uni's is less for real physical provess and moreso that your butt doesnt turn into a squashed square after sitting on it all day long? And since percy throws himself in his studies more than an average student (12 OWLs and NEWTs, thats my boy!) he would need more than 45 minutes a day spent halfheartedly stretching. And i guess oliver was an athletic kid even prior to hogwarts, so he would rope in percy into, i dunno, running laps and exercising on their own? Later oliver would up his load due to actively playing quidditch and percy would just go along, not noticing how fit he became. And even after hogwarts i assume he would want keep the benefit of his fit body as an office worker, so he could sign up to a gym, maybe with his boyfriends ;)

What I Think About Some Canon and Fanon Ships!!

Canon:

Romione (ron x hermione): Cute!! they have been through so much together and just fit together. Their fans are also really nice and pure (except for some Lavender haters)!! I do have different characters that I ship with them more (fanonically) but for canon, they are really good together!! 8.5/10

Hinny (ginny x harry): Meh.....not my most favorite ship ever but still pretty cute.....I think it was just kinda too stereotypical (his best friend’s sister has a crush on him) blah, blah, blah! I think it would’ve been better if Ginny was just more confident and independent (like she was in the books) but overall it’s a pretty decent ship. 6.5/10

Remadora (tonks x remus) : Pretty good but I ship wolfstar!! I honesty think Tonks was lesbian or aroace or something like that, and Remus was prolly bi/gay. It still was a cute ship and we got Teddy Lupin out of it, so no complaints there. I wish it would've been developed more because it didn't have the best storyline/backstory. Overall a pretty good ship tho! 6.8/10

Bleur (fleur x bill): I really liked this ship!! Especially how Fleur said the whole line after Bill became a werewolf (cuz that was perfection)! I'm kinda sad we don't get to see a lot of this ship in the books/movies but it's still great! 9/10

Charry (cho x harry): One of my least favorite canon ships tbh......cho wasn't (emotionally) in the best place after Cedric's death so I have no idea why she would want another relationship so fast!! also, she was quite jealous and untrustworthy of harry (after the whole harry/hermione debacle) which isn't the best thing to be in a relationship....3.9/10

Voldytrix (voldemort x bellatrix): ugghhh yuckkkkk.....this is like one of the main reasons I hated the book cursed child....also, voldy-moldy had no "heart" so he couldn't "love" and Bellatrix only "loved" him not her own husband.....this ship was kinda just one-sided so was just a horrible ship.....why was this even a thing?! -∞/10

Deanevra (dean x ginny): I think this was a pretty cute ship while it lasted. The only thing that was kinda weird was how they broke up......ginny broke up with him because he was helping her get through a door....it kinda looked like j.k.rowling (who I do not support btw) was trying to make it misogynistic but it just ended up weird...nonetheless, it was a nice ship while it lasted. 7/10

Jily (james x lily): This is one of the best canon ships out there, everyone knows that.....the only thing I really didn't like about this ship was how James kept pursuing Lily, even when she said no......it's supposed to be romantic but it kinda edges the line of harassment.....and James was a bully soooooo......but I liked the ship when they were out of Hogwarts....then it was cute and pureeee!! 8.3/10

Marthur (molly x arthur): this ship is freaking awesome!!! it really highlights was a good parent should be to their children (not all the time tho.......*hint, hint*, percyyyy) overall a 9.1/10

now for Fanon

Perciver (Percy x Oliver): THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHIP OF ALL TIME!! and it has sooo much potential!! it could be enemies to lovers, jock x nerd, muggle au, fake dating, friends to lovers, soulmates, there was only one bed, etc.....and omgtheywereroomatesssss.....they probably aren't the very most affectionate in person but just by themselves they are!! overall, I think they compliment each other very well and are just two adorkable boys!! ∞/10

Deamus (seamus x dean): such a pure ship oml.....I think it would've taken some time for them to realize they were bi/gay/queer and liked boys, but when they did, they would be really affectionate and stuff 10/10

Linny (Luna x Ginny): such a pure ship too!! this gives me jock x nerd vibes kinda like percy and Oliver, and is probably such a cute ship. I doubt they would be overly affectionate like deamus but probably would be more affectionate then perciver. I think this would be the start of ginny's bisexual days 8.9/10

Rarry (Ron x Harry): kinda like a friends to lovers thing going on!! I think they would compliment each other very well (even tho they had their differences) and would be a great ship!! 8.7/10

Dramione (Draco x Hermione): No, just no. I don't think I would want by bully to be my boyfriend/crush unless he completely changed himself (which I do not think Draco did)......so no.....but it's better than like Snamione/Snarry/Sneville 1.2/10

Snamione (Snape x Hermione): No again. He bullied her a lot, and was like 2-3 times her age (I get that some people like that thing but I don't so sorry) so nooo 0.9/10

Snarry (Harry x Snape): he bullied him even more than he bullied Hermione....not my ship so sorry about that 0.5/10

Sneville (Neville x Snape): No, no, no, no!! no way.....Snape bullied Neville the fucking most out of everyone else and Neville was deathly afraid of Snape (Snape was his boggart in 3rd year) so no 0.1/10

Percivercus (Marcus x Oliver x Percy): finally!! a poly ship!! I think ship would be really cute cuz it has friends to lovers and enemies to lovers all in one!! it has lots of potential, much like perciver, so cute ship!! I think this is a really good poly ship and I rate it 9.5/10

Dreville (Neville x Draco): eh....I’m not really sure how to feel about this....if Draco is the same brat he was at school then it’s a big fat no, if he’s “redeemed” or trying to, then maybe? It’s better than Drarry and Dramione, at least. 4.3/10

Wolfstar (Remus x Sirius): Absolute beauty of a ship. It’s probably my 2 or 3rd most favorite fanon ship! they really complement each other and are just so cute!! Though it must’ve hurt for Remus when he thought/realized Sirius was a spy (cuz he didn’t have all the facts)!! 9.1/10

one sunday morning

To any stranger looking in, Sunday breakfast at the Wood-Flint-Weasley household was something of a mess.

Mess- a dastardly understatement.

It went something like this.

Percy would get up earliest, used to getting up early and rushing to the Ministry, and he would begin to make breakfast. He was a good chef, being a direct descendant of Molly Weasley, and Marcus and Oliver took advantage of this fact as often as they could.

Percy didn't mind. He liked cooking, and he loved the smug satisfaction he felt when they enjoyed the food.

Percy Weasley had always been a perfectionist.

This Sunday was no different from any other Sunday-- the only day of the week where they were all free, lounging about the house in their boxers and doing nothing together.

Percy got up and flicked through an old recipe book. He could do pancakes, or a full English, or smoothie bowls, or waffles or-

Full English. There was no point even looking at different recipes when he always made the same one. It was their favourite, and he was a people pleaser

When Percy started on the bacon, cooking it the muggle way, like his mum taught him, Marcus fumbled his way out of the bedroom, rubbing his eyes and swearing as he stubbed his toe on the table leg.

"Good morning, Marcus." He said wryly, stifling a laugh.

If Marcus Flint was known for something, it was that he had a dirty mouth. It could put any sailor and their wife to shame.

"Fuck off." Marcus answered glumly, yawning.

Percy started on sausages, and they chatted aimlessly about the most recent scandal in the papers, a Skeeter concoction, most likely.

Oliver finally made his appearance, his brown hair a mess on his head and his eyes lidded. His eyelashes fluttered as he took his seat next to Marcus.

"G'morning." Oliver mumbled, his Scottish lilt gruff and thick in the mornings. Marcus pulled him into a one armed hug and kissed him on the forehead.

It was a sight that could warm the coldest of hearts, and Percy was no exception. It felt so right, to be so relaxed, with two people he loved, after spending his entire life working.

Percy set out their plates and took his place at the table, finally. The smell of the me wafted through the house and he smiled at the sight of Marcus and Oliver practically salivating at the sight. He sipped his tea, three sugars and a cream, waiting for Marcus to react.

And he did. He always did, every Sunday.

"How can you drink that!" Marcus bemoaned, staring haughtily at the offending tea. "Three fucking sugars. Ridiculous. Much too sweet."

"I'll have you know-" Percy gathered himself into the air he held when he was Head Boy in Hogwarts, putting on his most pompous voice. "That I like my tea sweet."

"That is not sweet." Marcus complained. "It is a cup of sugar."

"Quit picking on him," Oliver flicked Marcus's forehead. "He made your breakfast."

Marcus glared at Percy, as if it was somehow his fault that Oliver was scolding him. It was a glare that withered many opponents, in his career, but it did not work on Percy.

"Yeah, Marcus." Percy said snootily, adjusting his glasses exaggeratedly, looking at Marcus over them. "I made your breakfast."

Marcus flipped him off, and they all laughed.

Sundays were Percy's favourite day because the three of them had a routine. All three of them liked the concept of routines--it was methodical, relaxing.

Percy woke up first. Marcus second, Oliver last. They ate breakfast, bickered over the tea, and they finished up. They had the entire day to themselves. The rest of the week, they were busy- Percy working around the Ministry, Marcus playing with the Magpies, and Oliver playing with Puddlemere. Percy would go some days not seeing them at all until they went to bed.

He was proud. They were all very accomplished. But it got stressful.

"Thanks for breakfast, Perce." Oliver came up and hugged him from behind. Marcus didn't say anything, smarting from their weekly argument about tea, but he pecked him on the cheek.

Never too stressful, though, Percy thought fondly, sipping his tea, watching Marcus and Oliver elbow each other as they cleaned up the kitchen.

He always felt better after their Sunday routine.

Percy had pored over his headshot for days. Weeks. Maybe months.

In the back of his mind, through the haze of heat and fuzzy feeling entering his head, "Moscow Mule" was what came to mind when Percy thought of Marcus Flint.

A sharp nudge to his ribs brought him back to, and Oliver looked at him concernedly.

"Anything wrong?" He asked, managing to be quiet over the bass of the music. Percy shook his head, shooting him a small smile.

excerpt of an untitled wip

The house was quaint. Red bricked and cosy. It had two floors and a small garden in the front, and was identical to every other house around it. The only thing that differentiated them was the numbers on the white doors, and the garden decor that each family felt was appropriate. The muggle neighborhood was boring, unknown, and a few miles away from the heart of London.

In other words, it was perfect.

Marcus did not want to be a part of the war. He could reap nothing from it, and had enough to lose that he did not want to involve himself. His father was dead, his mother in America with her new husband.

He was alone, and he had to act the part.

Marcus missed living in the Wizarding World, for the three weeks of peace he had in his safe haven. He missed flying in the crisp spring, missed laughing with his friends in the locker rooms of Hogwarts, and most importantly, he missed feeling.

In his time in this neighborhood, he had been a shell of his old self, doing nothing but eating for nourishment, practicing spells for defense, and sleeping for replenishment. He did not smile. He did not frown. He did nothing, all by himself.

So when Oliver Wood and Percy Weasley knocked on his door on that fateful day, he let them in for some tea.

Or at least, that what readers would see. They actually met on set, from rival modelling incorporations.

Marcus Flint was the up and coming star in the modelling world, with delicate Asian features and an athletic build. He had been an athlete, a big basketball player, till he sustained an injury that ruined his athletic career forever.

Oliver Wood, coincidentally was in the same boat. He was well on his way to the NBA, until a tragic injury that too, ruined his sports life. He was the classic American boy, with brown hair and brown eyes and a charming smile. He had the heart of the world with his first cover.

Percy Weasley had been in a family business of models. He had what some companies would call the "It" factor. It was what set him apart. What made him interesting to look at. What made cameras snap. He was a ginger, just like the rest of the Weasleys, with bright blue, hypnotic eyes.

They had made a beautiful magazine cover. But they had never expected to see each other very much from then on.

Another Percy Weasley Defense Post Because You Can Never Have Enough!! (+ some Perciver)

I hate how people say Percy abandoned his family for the Ministry of Magic.

BECAUSE HE FUCKING DID NOT!!

he left because of the toxic environment he was in.

he left because of the constant bullying from his siblings (except Charlie + Bill)

he left because he thought no one cared for him

he left because of the buildup of everything his family had done to him

I also hate how Percy was always portrayed as a snobbish prat who was pompous and only cared for his grades.

BECAUSE HE FUCKING WAS NOT!!

he was a protective older brother

- when ginny was petrified

- with all the shit Ron did

- when Fred died (he wouldn't leave his body)

HE WAS SOOO FUCKING PROETCTIVE!!

he was never snobbish and built up a wall to surround himself and his insecurities as he thought that was weak (considering ministry workers and such)

furthermore, I just wanted to let u know another fact

Percy felt that his family hated him/never wanted him because of constant teasing/pranks/insults/and badmouths. When the Weasleys "adopted" Harry, Harry was more of a Weasley then he ever was.

now tell me, wouldn't this make u feel fucking horrible?!

Also, I absolutely fucking hate how he was considered the "worst" weasley.

he was not the worst weasley.....want me to tell u who was

FRED (even though you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead) AND GEORGE WEASLEY

they always humiliated and picked on Percy

- with Pranks (that were usually obnoxious)

- with insults

- with what they called "harmful" teasing

And they just were bullies (and I hate bullies)

not saying that they're bad characters, I'm just saying that those pranks were usually immature and hurtful

The last thing I wanted to add was how he was the only one who had to apologize.

I was absolutely infuriated at this fact

like, how?!

Percy left due to no support/acknowledgement from his family.

like how would u feel if your parents said that the only reason they hired u was to spy on them.

u would feel devastated and angry, because u thought you've been working so hard and u deserved this job/promotion.

and then your parents just yelled at u, and your siblings took your parents side

I'm just saying there's two sides of a coin, and not one sides always right!

(I lied that, that was the last thing) Also, it's not even that big of a stretch that he believed the Ministry!!

why would he believe a 15/16 year old who constantly got his brother hurt and/or in trouble (protective alert)

and a crackpot old headmaster who couldn't prevent teenagers from getting hurt

the Ministry was a place that helped everyone, and Percy thought that it would help all this Voldemort nonsense.

sooo it wasn't that big of a stretch that he thought the Ministry was right over a 15/16 yr old and an old and kinda crazy headmaster?

also, this kinda had nothing to do with defending Percy but isn't Perciver a fucking awesome ship?!
