missing one of my departed cats today so wanna share some pics of her

her name was Charles Benjamin bc when we rescued her quite literally from the street we thought she was a boy but we called her Charlie for short. she was the sweetest, most cuddly cat, a ferocious roach killer, a drool monster, a purr that sounded like a motor, and that look of love every time she stared at you — its been a few years but some days just hit harder than others

sometimes when i feel crushed by the world and my own mind and body, i pull myself out of bed anyway because it's not my dogs fault and he still deserves walked even tho I feel shit and I owe him for picking me up so don't ever come @ me with the "it's just a dog" because sometimes he's the only reason I'm alive.

It sometimes just dawns on me that like, our pets are living beings who think their own thoughts and have their own feelings. I mean this in a like "Wow, this ball of adorable fluf is a creature that thinks and it decided that it trusts me and enjoys my presence".

Earlier today I went to pet Buddy (my cat) and his eyes kinda lit up a lil and he started getting up when he saw me coming over with the intent to pet him. It was then it sorta dawned on me that like, he gets excited when I walk into the room, and is very happy when I snuggle and pet him. Like omg that's so sweet! I'm just in aw of how much our pets care about us unconditionally, without much reason other then us providing food and water.

God pets are so lovely, they bring so much pure happiness into this world and there's a good chance they don't even know or realize.

If you have a pet could you please give them some nice pets or a treat or something for just being so truly amazing and sweet when they don't have to be, they're such pure creatures ❤️
