Thank y'all from the bottom of our hearts for the support & love SPNFamily.
I don't know what @talltalesandbedtimestories & @sam-is-my-safe-word really expected when we started this podcast. Wax lyrical about SPN & our love of Sam & Dean maybe? Connect with the community? Maybe just hear ourselves talk & hope someone liked it.
But it's grown into so much more. We've made friends & family through this lil podcast that could. We have a community. We're so fucking proud. We hope that when you listen, you feel like you're just hanging out with friends, driving around & talking nonsense.
Triple digits baby, and we're just getting started!

in my head tup and hunter are on opposite ends of the hair care routine spectrum out of the clones with non-regulation lengths like tup is 12 steps to soft silky locks hunter meanwhile rubs bar soap into that shit and calls it a day. they meet once n hunter says yeah soap is soap and tup lets out a little whimper
Spring salad: lettuce, radish, potato, (optional: apple, orange, watermelon). Unfortunately it has Burden side effect. (if choose orange, you'll get a bonus Shield effect)
Can also side with Ranch dressing: cheese wedge, leek, onion, garlic. And this one has Damage Agility side effect. It can be fix by removing the garlic.
Potato soup: potato, garlic, leek. This recipe has Frost Shield side effect. Perfect choice for a cold weather.
Corn salsa: corn, tomato, onion, garlic. Unfortunately it has Damage Agility side effect, but you can get Detect Life in the process.
Grilled cheese sandwich: bread loaf, cheese wedge, cheese wheel. Unfortunately it has Damage Agility side effect. I should have removed the cheese wedge. Sorry Baurus :(
Classic ham sandwich: bread loaf, cheese wedge, ham, lettuce. Unfortunately this recipe also has Damage Agility side effect, but bonus Fire Shield woohoo!
Gyudon: beef, onion, rice
Mix berries: blackberry, strawberry, (we only have two kinds of berries?) (optional: apple, orange, pear). Actually, don't put apple or pear in it. They will cause Damage Health.
Crabby corn soup: crab, corn, onion. You can add cheese wedge for bonus Fire Shield (and Damage Agility) effect.
Chili con carne: beef (/boar meat /mutton /venison), onion, garlic, tomato. Side effect is Detect Life. (Beef flavor will grant you Shield effect. Unfortunately Boar meat will have burden side effect and Venison is Damage Health)
Pumpkin pie: pumpkin, sweetcake (/flour /sweetroll). Unfortunately both flour and sweetroll has Damage Personality side effect
Carrot cake: carrot, sweet cakes
Strawberry cheesecake: strawberry, cheese wedge, flour (/sweetcake /sweetroll). The flour version has Reflect Damage side effect. I highly recommend it.
I directed the delivery guy to put the last high-tech crate next to the others in our very full cargo bay, and I breathed a quiet sigh of relief. This was a big order. I noted the final count with a good old-fashioned Earth pencil.
The delivery guy, a fellow human much beefier than I was, smirked at the pencil and clipboard. “Really living in the space age, there,” he said. “Don’t you guys have tablets and scanners?”
“Oh sure,” I replied. “But one has a cracked screen and the other's got a faulty battery. You know how it is.”
His response was eclipsed by the arrival of the sparkly purple conglomeration of limbs that was my coworker Zhee. I was used to bug aliens by now, but I was amused to see the brawny human edge back a step.
Zhee didn’t notice. “What is ‘pack bonding’?” he demanded, clicking to a stop and looking at the two of us expectantly. “They were telling jokes that made little sense.” He waved a pincher arm over his shoulder. “Then it occurred to me that I have a pair of qualified humans here I can ask. Why do people joke about humans caring too much?”
The delivery guy straightened up, all bluster. “Oh, it’s a bunch of radiator wash, really. Lots of species are social. Really, we wouldn’t all have space ships out here if everybody couldn’t cooperate!”
“Well, sure,” I said. “But there’s a difference between cooperating and getting attached. Didn’t you have a teddy bear as a kid?”
“Yeah, as a kid,” he scoffed. “We’re talking about grownups here.”
“Grownups do it too,” I told him, barreling on as he started to object. “We give names and personalities to ships and cars and space probes. We put googly eyes on machinery, and keep pet rocks. We build people out of snow, lending them our own clothes, and we’re sad when they melt away. We have ancient history of granting a bear military rank, and recent history of doing the same to a cleaning droid. We care about things.”
He was still shaking his head and looking stubborn, so I pulled the pencil from my pocket. I held it in front of his face with an intense stare.
“I can tell you that this pencil’s name is Steven,” I said. “Then I can do this—” I snapped it in half. “—And I can watch a little bit of you die inside.”
His expression was that of a person shaken to his core. “What the f— Why would you do that??”
I looked down at the broken pencil. “You can’t tell me humans don’t care.”
Zhee clicked a pincher. “But it’s just a pencil.”
“It was,” I said. “Now it’s Steven.” I pulled a roll of tape from a different pocket. “And now I have to nurse him back to health and apologize.”

The ongoing backstory of the main character in this book. No pencils were (permanently) harmed in the creation of today's story.
Took me two months to think about this, but when season 2 starts:
- Ed has no idea where Stede is at that point but he clearly isn't onThe Revenge.
- last time Ed saw Lucius alive was right before he pushed him off the ship. Ed probably thinks Lucius is dead.
- the crew aside from Jim and Frenchie were all marooned. I don't think Ed has Stede being with them on his bingo card either.
But then! In episode 3, Ed spends the entire episode in the gravy basket with Hornigold who he hates. He also tries to kill him multiple times but it never takes as he keeps ressucitating. Sounds like a bad trip.
But wait! Ed's between life and death, and he's been talking to himself the whole time. And to conclude his trip in the basket, Stede is here but he's a merman now.
But then! Ed wakes up in episode 4 to :
- Stede holding his hand and standing right above him (just two seconds ago he had a tail! If real Stede with actual legs is here... what the hell is he doing here?!)
- the entire crew being on the ship and Roach offering him a sandwich (when did they get here?!)
- Lucius very much alive (did he ressucitate too?!)
It's such a mindfuck. And not just because of what happened in the gravy basket. I wouldn't know what was real or not if I were him either.
Twig buffers for a minute at this revelation and then says “Well, duh. You’re super old. Of course it would take work to look like you’re not ready to keel over at any second.”
Celebi laughs so hard she completely ruins the wing she was drawing and Dusknoir sulks for the rest of the day.
Hail to the shaper of flesh and bone
