HEY HOMIES !!!

Here’s the big baddie 😮‍💨 my final for Digital Illustration I ! I was so excited to do this assignment when I first heard about it in Week 1, I had kinda planned from the start for it to be an Aiah and Polor piece since I can’t get their dynamic outta my head. Came back to an old rendering style I haven’t touched in ages and really tried to push the color palette this time around (I learned about gradient maps ! They’re super cool !!) In the end, I think there’s a lot about it I wouldn’t change at all. This is honestly one of my best pieces if I’d have to judge, haha.

I’m super pleased with the finished version even though it drained every ounce of my life force <3 I now vanish to pursue more back-breaking projects

A new report issued by McGill University in Montreal has described the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting the State of Israel as a significant contributor to the “polarizing” of debate on campus.

The report, published on Wednesday by the Canadian university’s Initiative Against Islamophobia and Antisemitism (IAIAS), asserted that in the wake of the motion passed in March by the university Students’ Society describing Israel as an apartheid state, both Jewish and Muslim students had been exposed to “experiences that have led them to feel marginalized, alienated, and/or discriminated within our university context.”

“Unquestionably, the most fraught question that emerged within the consultations was whether expressions in support of BDS amounted to discrimination,” the report said. “For many members of the Jewish community, some BDS-related activism — while permissible political expression at the outset — descended into anti-Zionist rhetoric and claims that, for them, were tantamount to antisemitism.”

The report went on to recommend enhancing student knowledge of Judaism and Islam, improving “existing”  sensitivity training, and hosting scholarly discussions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

After its release, Hillel Montreal, which serves Jewish students attending McGill University, expressed hope that “this is the start to a better campus life for all McGill students.”

Asaf Romirowsky — Executive Director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME), an academic NGO — criticized IAIAS for not acknowledging that BDS was objectively antisemitic rather than, as the report said, something “some members of the Jewish community will experience as antisemitism.”

“Positively, the report acknowledges that BDS is indeed a polarizing factor on campus. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go as far as to identify BDS as antisemitism,” Romirowsky told The Algemeiner. “Consequently, the recommendations do not include the adaptation of the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which includes anti-Zionism and would tackle BDS in all its forms.”

In March, B’nai B’rith Canada, a Jewish advocacy organization, called on the university to defund the Students’ Society for endorsing a boycott of Israel over the objections of its judicial board.

B’nai Brith Canada called the resolution “extreme,” warning that “the document’s language is so broad that it may compel the Students’ Society to boycott virtually all Jewish clubs and associations on campus.”

Today marks a year since I did this animatic revolving around Aiah’s fears and concerns about Polor’s well-being as well as her own nightmares since the events on Buttoncraft have made her feel a bit paranoid about herself and her neighbors. I remember speedrunning this in a day or so after I initially heard the song, and I kinda lost any sense of my surroundings LMAO but I was really happy with it back then and I still am now even though there are definitely some things I wish I had/could polish up when I first made it (canvas sizing, anatomy). Regardless, I know this song still pains me /affectionate every time I listen to it,, these two really do give me brain worms =w=

i know the request is asking abt bimbo!gf being a dungeon master but first i feel like we as a society need to talk about eddie being down something horrifying for a bimbo.

he's watching you in awe while you pick out your outfits, and staring mindlessly while you do your makeup. you'd often catch him on your bed, lying on his stomach with his hands holding his face while his feet kick around in the air as he stares at you through your vanity mirror.

he doesn't have a lot of money, but he will definitely give you at least some of it whenever you get your nails done and he will get so excited when you come back to get a new set. ( in a modern!au, i can definitely see him getting his nails done with you, but he won't get anything more that a simple manicure because he still needs to play guitar ofc )

okay onto the actual request. let's just say there's another dnd club in hawkins that's yours, and eddie left early to pick you up because the hellfire campaign wrapped sooner than he thought.

he already knew you were a dungeon master, which he thought was super fucking cool btw, but you would scream at the highest frequency he's ever heard if he tried to peak into your notes for your party. so when he walked into the hawkin's rec centre ( do they have one? idk but that's where most clubs are on where i live- ) he can't exactly say he was prepared to see you with a hot pink hood covering half your face, staring the party members down as they debated their next move.

knowing the importance of atmosphere, eddie stayed by the door, silently observing with a proud smirk. he but his tongue to hold back a laugh when you cackled loudly, thoroughly entertained by the party's distress.

chrissy, an undercover nerd, as you so kindly dubbed her, who had found herself incredibly intrigued by the game once you showed her a random campaign you'd planned out hit your arm playfully when the campaign finally finished. "i hate you when you go all dm." she complained, pulling you into a quick hug. "but i love you normally, be safe on the way home." she pulled away from you with a swift kiss on the cheek and a bright smile. "eddie's waiting for you, by the way! hi, eddie."

he waved back at her "hi, chrissy." he made his way towards you with a smile. "quite the change in personality there, hm doll?" he asked, arms looping around your waist. "can't say i pictured you coming up with a campaign like that."

"what, like it's hard?" your fingers toyed with the hair on the nape of his neck.

"did you just quote elle woods?"

"she's my lord and saviour, of course i did."
