my favorite thing about project Mirai dx is, in addition to all the little minigames and distractions they put in, there's also an alarm clock. in theory, having an alarm clock that you can customize the music for is great, but in practice it's very poorly thought out
for one, despite this being a rhythm game with loads of songs in the game, and the 3ds being a system that lets you store media files on it, your only alarm options are to have one of the characters yell at you to wake up, or to use a 4-bar jingle that you wrote yourself
secondly, and perhaps most importantly, the alarm only goes off if the system is awake. you can't put it in sleep mode, so either by your bedside or somewhere in your room, you have two little screens lighting up your room with this image on them all night
the screen does darken a little after a while, but in an otherwise dark room it's still pretty bright
I just thought that was funny. I'm gonna go to bed now and have kaito shout me awake in the morning
I purchased Hatsune Miku: Carton Box 3DS home menu theme about a week ago. The top screen features a static wallpaper with Miku in Project Mirai DX chibi art style and the bottom screen has a panoramic wallpaper with silhouettes of various Vocaloid characters.
The combo of carton box brown and soft white of the user interface elements is a pretty classy and soothing look. I like the details that mimic a carton packaging. There’s nice custom music included as well.
