#MatrimonyMonday ♡▪♡▪♡▪♡ How cute is this??? I'm so psyched to be getting married, but I wasn't enjoying the process prior to this weekend. God seriously spoke to me yesterday in church about just RELAXING and trusting Him with... E V E R Y T H I N G ...including my health, pain, business, job, my child, my wedding, my fiance, my fear, my faith... ▪▪▪ I truly feel a relief now and I am being intentional about enjoying each moment. So when I received an invite to MY bridal shower, I squealed with delight and ran to show Scotty, jumping for joy. He was so happy to see me excited and not crying (because that's how the last two weeks had been like). Feeling awesome right now. Honestly, receiving a heavy health diagnosis yesterday was tough. I cried again this evening with my Love, but he quickly assured me that everything is going to be okay. 😍 But that's not what is important about today. ☆ What was important is that I have friends... true friends. My darling fiance and I had a nice night working together, laughing, talking about our wedding and honeymoon and life. It was the best because he is my best friend. 💑 ☆ But before that, two of my sisters in Christ and AMAZING friends blessed me today. 💍 #MckinneyBridalShow 💍 The most comical part about this #bridalshow was before it started. There were four couples in the audience who volunteered to do a 'Guess Who My Bride Is?' Game. But guess what? All of the grooms guessed the right bride! They had to feel their rings to make sure of who their bride was. One of the guys was really questioning his decision! Lol!! Scotty would have known who I was because my ring is so distinctive. 😁 I love that! 😍 I had such a fun time here. And all this after mi hermanas @chochitaz99 and @alma33099 told me last night that they are giving me a bridal shower!!! I don't think they knew what that meant to me. Just because it's #ManCrushMonday and #ManOfGodMonday, I am posting about my man. 😍 ▪♡▪ Although I have been open about having been divorced, very few know my full testimony. I will definitely share it via YouTube on our upcoming family channel with my husband-to-be, but for now just know that I am so incredibly thankful, blessed, and grateful to have this man. 🙏 #WontHeDoIt ▪♡▪ I used to watch my fave YouTubers ever in life, Gabe and Babe (of #GabeBabeTV 💛) and I marveled at their beautiful marriage. They are best friends and they are a faith-filled couple who truly get along. I wanted that for my own life: a prayer partner, a bestie, someone that I could be myself with (all of myselves, as Scotty would say 🤣), someone who would be "my person". In other words? MY "Chad". ▪♡▪ I decided to pray for "My Chad": a godly man that would be God-given and match my heart the way that Babe (Chad) matched Gabe's. I sat down and wrote out to God what I desired in a future hubby: physically, spiritually, intellectually, aesthetically, emotionally. Having been married before, I knew what I DIDN'T want. Now I asked for what I DID want. I also asked for God to help me to become the best version of myself, so that when God did send a man my way, I would be a blessing to him; a Help Meet. We always ask for these great partners, but forget that we have to BE a great partner, as well. 💯💡 ▪♡▪ Can I tell you that I received way more then I could have ever asked for? Scotty isn't perfect (Lord, knows!😅) but he was SOOO incredibly fashioned perfectly just for me. This brother (from another mother) is my person, my other half, my best friend, my intellectual equal, sometimes even my teacher. ▪♡▪ I'm so thankful that I get to explore the rest of my life and God's extraordinary world with my handsome prince. First time out of the house since leaving the hospital. Still in a lot of pain all night, so Scotty got us 15 minute massages. He's awesomesauce. I was crying prior to this, in pain at the mall cafeteria and frustrated with my health issues. But my baby got me out of the house, got me a chicken Philly, and even got us a green and ginger healthy smoothie. I am thankful for him tonight. This walk is hard...
