He doesn't want to lose his special place with Lucy. So he agrees to take it over, George guiding him through his first steps in the hospitality business. He ultimately renames the place 'Lucy’s' because that is how he had always thought of it.

There’s a secret part of me that wonders if the High Five Heroes turned Rat Grinders isn’t something nefarious at all, but actually pointing a very truly unfair thing that happened— when Gorgug and Kristen died in freshman year, Aguefort saved them and resurrected them with intense magic (sacrificing himself and another teacher). The moment I heard about Lucy dying, I immediately thought, “did aguefort or anyone try to offer them the same resource? If not, why?”

For a group of happy-go-lucky kids to develop “edgier” personalities (can’t think of a better word for it), I wonder if something really terrible happened to Lucy during one of their times in the woods.

Maybe they stay in the woods not because they think it’s easier, maybe they stay because something happened to their friend the one time they tried to go beyond.

And when they turned to their administration, maybe even the rogue teacher particularly or administration, instead of black and white on rules on paper, they gave them a “gray” option full of special circumstance.

I liked how everyone has been making the connection that the Rat Grinders and Bad Kids propose perfect rivals for each of them. It means that they have the option as Ayda said about two greatest wizards— they’ll either kill each other or save the world.

I’m excited to find out which BLeeM and the Intrepid Heroes choose

Here we go with the Lucy Sable headcanons

Lucy never cared about the Hudson money. She just liked how earnestly Ryan was trying to impress her. It made her feel special, which she very rarely got to feel

Lucy always wanted to learn to play an instrument

Lucy and Ryan briefly talked about children when they found themselves talking about the futures they wanted one night. Lucy said she wanted two, a boy and a girl

Lucy was very good at baking but really hated it so only baked if there was a good cause like a bake sale

One time, while clearing out old supplies from the Claw's basement, George finds a table down there and when she looks underneath to see if it's wobbling can be fixed, she finds Lucy Sable and Josh Dodd wrote their names underneath while waiting for their mother to finish a shift at the Claw

There were so many appearances of Dead Lucy because she took it upon herself to watch over the children of Horseshoe Bay as a way of giving back to the Drews who were watching over her little girl (she also more than once scared criminals away who otherwise would have hurt Nancy during her investigations)

Technically not a Lucy headcanon but Ace made several fake Dead Lucy videos in his teens

Lucy kept trying to get Kate to see her as Kate was dying because she wanted to thank her but never was able to make herself known and Kate's spirit passed on too fast. Once Nancy resolved things for Lucy, Lucy made her way over to the Northeast corner of heaven to thank Kate for all she did.

Lucy asked Carson about how a teenager could get emancipated from their parents. Carson assumed she was asking due to tensions between herself and her mother but really she was asking for Ryan's sake. Before Lucy could bring it up with Ryan, Everett was able to convince her Ryan wanted nothing to do with her and she believed he would never walk away from his parents

When Patrice dies, she leaves all her things to Nancy because Josh is never going to get out of prison. Amongst those things Nancy finds a first edition copy of 'All the President's Men' that had been in Lucy's things when she had died. When Nancy looks inside, she finds that the book had actually been leant to Lucy by Kate Drew

Lucy's love of riddles and word games was greatly encouraged by Kate who would often play word games with her to help Lucy ease into guidance sessions. Kate would go on to play those same games with Nancy because she knew Lucy would have done it

I’ve been sitting on this post for several days. And then I just saw this on Twitter

Who is going to save the Nace ship? Who is going to figure out how to break the curse? Who is going to support Nancy and encourage her not to give up; not to lose faith?

Ryan. That boy has been shipping them low key for awhile. He loves his boy Ace. He adores Nancy. He found the love of his life and he has had people do everything keep them apart. He lost her and yet death couldn’t even keep them apart. Lucy came back to him. He has never fully recovered from that loss. He isn’t going to let what happened to him and Lucy happen to Nancy and Ace. Nope not Ryan. He failed once; he won’t let that happen again.
