Salman Khan to shoot with Sunny Deol for Safar on January 16 in Mumbai

Salman Khan and Sunny Deol are organically two of the biggest superstars of Hindi Cinema in the mass belts, as their popularity reaches the tier 2 and 3 centres. Over the years, their friendship has grown from strength to strength as the two have always been cordial at public events as also in their personal space. Recently, it was widely reported that Salman Khan will be doing a cameo in Sunny Deol's next film.

Bollywood Hungama's exclusive scoop is a follow-up to the same. We have exclusively learnt that Salman Khan and Sunny Deol will be uniting at a studio in Mumbai on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. "It's going to be a starry day on the sets of Safar. Salman Khan will be shooting for his cameo appearance in Safar tomorrow. It's a full-day shoot and Salman will be shooting for all his sequences in the time allotted from 2 pm onwards. He is excited and looking forward to shooting with Sunny Deol," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

According to the source, Salman plays himself in the film and the sequence will showcase his side of being human in the film. "Salman Khan will be playing superstar Salman Khan with a heart of gold. It's a role written keeping Salman's aura in mind and the fans will get a treat on big screen." The film will hit the big screen in second half of 2024. Meanwhile, Sunny will start shooting for Lahore: 1947 in February 2024.

According to a report in Mid-Day, “The Tiger 3 star will shoot with Paaji later this week. Salman reportedly has a cameo in Sunny’s next, Safar, for which the two actors are expected to film their scenes together this Friday and Saturday at Mehboob Studios in Bandra. Salman will be playing himself in the Vishal Rana production venture.”

Produced by Echelon Productions, Safar is reportedly set for 2024 release. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol has Aamir Khan Productions’ next project Lahore 1947 which will be helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

On the other hand, Salman Khan has Dharma Productions’ next The Bull with Shershaah director Vishnu Vardhan. He also has a project in the works with Sooraj Barjatya. The actor will also star in Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan.

Safar ka hi tha main, Safar ka raha

in each place i have stayed and called 'home', i have been a person with the same name but a different soul altogether. i have been shifting places in time less than an average person takes to settle at one (maybe less than that), but yes i called every place as my 'home'.

I don't remember the last time i was 'stationary'. i have always been on the move, so much that before my friends (the real ones) ask "how are you?", they have begun to ask "where are you? in which corner of the world?" and i always have an involuntary smile on my face. somewhere no one changed their home delivery addresses so frequently than i did.

one of my wishes in this life was to disappear at a point in life and start a new one as a different person somewhere else. changing places has allowed me to explore the characters in me with a multifaceted set of natures like a performer on stage changing characters with each drama.

changing places has been like falling in love over and over again. getting to know it well, disliking a few things at first and then getting used to it and before you know you are on the brink of attachment, the place changes but you still love the same.

and yes i call changing places as falling in love, because unlike kuch kuch hota hai, i don't think we love only once. we love again and again, and we move past many of them. there comes a moment where after you've called a place/person as 'home', you have to leave it. i have said to many.

but i hope someday I will find my forever home. where the storm inside my soul relocating my existence will come to ease, the journey, the quest to something uncharted now will find its destination.
