Who, in your opinion, are ✨Legendary, Talented Actors and Actresses✨ (deceased, alive and "legend in the making")?
Nice question!!!! Like the word “versatile”, I feel that when referring to an actor or actress, “legendary” is thrown around too often without actually understanding what that word means and how it correlates to an actor or actress. That being said, I hope I do this right...

Unsure:
Hugh Jackman - click here
Matthew Modine - A true artist at heart who was quite versatile with his roles and genres in the 80s (and so fine 😍), but he isn't super well-known nor popular like, for example, Tom Hanks; however, the role of 'Papa' on Stranger Things won him tons of new fans as well as awoke his fans that grew up with him
Jason Bateman - He's been around since the 80s, but aside from Ozark, he only really stars in crude R-rated films, so I'm on the fence about whether he'd be considered one or not
There are definitely tons--I mean tons of more actors and actresses I could write out for each category, but I'll end the lists here. Thank for the ask, this was fun to think about! If any of you have suggestions, then send me an ask.
So.... I've been a little sleep-deprived lately, through no fault but my own, because my brain has decided that this is the week I try to catch up on the list of films I've been meaning to watch for ages. I've found myself gravitating towards the ones with stellar women actors, such as:
Toni Collette in Hereditary. Like, how does she do that? With her face, her voice, her way of walking, shambling, crouching, and floating across the screen? I was blown away by her performance in The Sixth Sense and The Staircase, but this one might be the most memorable one yet (in the horror movie genre anyhow). The whole look of the film was stunning too, in a dark, sinister way.
Margot Robbie in Barbie. Obvs she's a treat to look at, and while I'm still getting a sense of her range as an actor, some of her scenes in the Barbie movie just took my breath away. Including the ones with Kate McKinnon (who is of course a national treasure).
Saoirse Ronan in Greta Gerwig's Little Women. I've loved her performance in every film I've seen her in, but I watched this film specifically because I wanted to see how Gerwig interpreted such a classic tale. She did not disappoint, although I was initially a bit puzzled by some of her other casting choices. But it all came together in the end, in the most lovely (and quietly empowering) way. I will probably watch the 2017 BBC version next, if I can get access to it.
Cate Blanchett in Tár. She's another actor who knocks my socks off in pretty much every role I've ever seen her in, even if I didn't like the film as a whole. I am a bit on the fence about this one because of the subject matter and how it ends, but she did a fantastic job as always, and the fake interviews and "is Lydia Tár a real person?" articles that sprang up after its release are highly entertaining. I'm looking forward to watching her in a less villainous role in Carol, my next film on the list.
Alongside all these powerhouse performances, I've been enjoying fluffier fare in the form of Good Omens, season 1. I will of course be tuning in for season 2 when it drops this Friday, because it seems a shame not to support its continuation into the final season 3, after languishing in the shadows of Mr. Gaiman's imagination all these years. (Assuming that the writer's strike gets to a satisfactory place for everyone, that is).
It'll be a miracle if I still have eyeballs by the end of the week, but I'm kind of enjoying this cinematic spree while it lasts!
for mwf, i think we'd love to see alisha boe, aubri ibrag, brianne tju, cemre baysel, charithra chandran, diana silvers, ellie bamber, florence pugh, grace van dien, hande erçel, isabela merced, jordan alexander, kennedy mcmann, lily rose depp, lulu antariksa, maude apatow, maya hawke, melis sezen, özge yağız, rachel hilson, renata notni, saoirse ronan, taylor russell, yara shahidi, zaria simone, and zendaya coleman !
for semi-canons, we'd love to see children / relatives for the following families: dumbledore, rookwood, crouch, umbridge, meadowes, vance, slughorn, rosmerta ( would be very interesting given our recent plot drop ! ), mckinnon, flamel, and macnair ! however, we have a full list here !
