You really get a sense that she feels strongly attached to xxc during the pre-empathy scenes #and that she has a strong sense of loyalty and perseverance with strong survival instinct #but then you see her before all the tragedy and you *immediately* learn she is a clever trickster! #She follows xxc not out of gratitude but out of a sense that this guy is her meal ticket. #xxc is kind and strong but most importantly *noble* #she can smell the self-sacrificing bright eyed hope on this stranger. She knows the mere fact she's a young blind girl means #he will protect her. The fact he gives her a little money doesn't hurt her justification but tbh she would have followed all the same #a-qing is *the* catgirl of all time actually. Follows you for the fact you provide food and shelter. Opportunistic. May grow to be loyal. #That's not even getting into the parallels here between these two characters and wwx (who is seeing these events play out) #the yi city trio are arguably the three split aspects of wwx: who he feels like (a-qing the opportunist) who he wants to be (xxc the noble) #and who he feels seen as (xy the vengeful). #one day I'll write a more robust analysis on that. prob in the tags though #(His a-qing parallels are also tied with the fact they both were street rat orphans who learned how to code-switch to be whoever #they need to be to feel safe. Coined by the sweet @isasan347 , Fan Joy July is an art challenge I've created for myself!

I will be drawing one piece of colored fan art every single day of July that corresponds to a scene in various Linked Universe Fanfics.

This challenge is meant to push myself to draw daily, give back to writers who make this fandom so much fun, and give others a chance to read something new they may enjoy 😄

I will be choosing some fics myself that I've read and enjoy, but I would love if others recommended their favorite LU fic. This way I can pick one LU fan fiction to draw for all 31 days. Feel free to self promote as well!

To recommend me a fic, please comment or reblog this post with the link so that I can see it easier. Please avoid sending asks if you can, just because I tend to get overwhelmed when my inbox gets full 🥴🥲 hehe

I'll be taking recommendations from April 11-30. After that I'm going to start drawing so that I can be ready to post in July! ( This is gonna take me a while so I need all the prep time I can get haha).

**I'm not asking anyone else to do this challenge, but I would ADORE if anyone wanted to join me! Even if it isn't for the whole month. **(I can be your excuse if you've ever wanted to draw for a writer but were too shy hehe)

I've also seen one or two writers interested in how they could participate. I think that maybe if there is an artist you enjoy you could write something for a drawing they've done? I know there are a ton of very talented LU artists in the fandom, so that could be a good challenge for writers 😀

Frankenstein was released November 21, 1931. The first noir volume takes place January 1933. It's been a generous 14 months since he's seen this movie but with how its written here it sounds like he's talking about an instance when he was a kid. or at least... younger than however old he was just over a year ago.

Either Pete is on the younger side of his teenage years or he's very sensitive to 'horror'/disturbing scenes, or both. I'd get it if he's sensitive to that stuff cause who knows what heinous shit he's seen but damn does that make me feel really awful for him. it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion! The first time I played MK11 and Liu Kang and Raiden merged so Liu Kang could be Fire and Lightning God Liu Kang, I thought about something I've never seen anyone else mention.

When Raiden gives his powers to Liu Kang, Liu Kang comes out with the godly glowing eyes and the glowing dragon tattoos, right? We all know that.

But I always felt like it implied that, similarly to Fujin, Raiden DID have tattoos.

It's the same in the sense that Liu Kang got Raiden's glowing eyes and white hair (assuming that like Fujin, Raiden's hair was white)

So can it not be assumed that if Liu Kang took on those features, he would take the tattoos too?

I've always thought that the dragons weren't Liu Kang's, not really. They're Raiden's.

And I'm gonna die on the hill of Raiden having dragon tattoos in MK11 that are just vibrant, glowing fucking white.

I've thought this for AGES and I've never seen anyone else make a similar connection.
