Chicken seekh kabab
Chicken Seekh Kebab is a famous Indian appetizer made from chicken keema, spices and herbs. It is named "seekh" because it is traditionally made by placing it on skewers (seekh). This kebab is usually grilled in tandoor or on a griddle, which gives it a smoky and flavorful taste. Seekh kebab is popular for parties, functions, or simply snack time.

5 Best Indian Foods That Are Popular in Hatch End
Tumblr media
Situated in the suburbs of London, Hatch End is a culinary hotspot for Indian food enthusiasts. The vibrant Indian community has brought a slice of their rich culinary heritage to this quaint town, making it a go-to destination for authentic Indian flavours. Here’s a rundown of the five best Indian foods that have captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike at Indiawaale, Hatch End.
Indian Foods That Are Popular at Indiawaale, Hatch End
Let’s get into a world of spices, colours and tantalising aromas at Indiawaale. We’re dishing out the most loved Indian delights that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance. Here’s the scoop on what’s hot and sizzling:
1. Nagpur Saoji Chicken/Mutton
Saoji Chicken Nagpuri Style is a fiery and flavourful delicacy from Nagpur, Maharashtra. This dish is renowned for its distinctive Saoji masala, a spice blend that imparts a strong and spicy taste to the chicken or mutton.
The meat is slow-cooked in a rich gravy, allowing the spices to penetrate deeply and create a harmonious blend of heat and flavour. It’s a must-try for those who love their food with a spicy kick and is often paired with rice or Indian bread to balance the heat.
2. Sharabi Kukkad
Sharabi Kukkad is a unique and tantalising dish that combines the smoky flavours of tandoori chicken with a hint of liquor. The boneless chicken is marinated in a mix of tandoori spices, yoghurt and a splash of liquor, which not only tenderises the meat but also adds an intriguing depth of flavour.
Roasted to perfection in a tandoor oven, Sharabi Kukkad is a succulent and juicy delight that pairs wonderfully with naan or a cooling cucumber raita.
3. Jaipuri Laal Maas
Jaipuri Laal Maas is a Rajasthani dish that has found a special place in Hatch End’s Indian culinary scene. This fiery lamb curry is characterised by its deep red colour, achieved through the liberal use of red chillies.
The lamb is slow-cooked with a blend of aromatic spices, garlic and yoghurt, resulting in a rich and complex flavour profile. The dish is a favourite among spice enthusiasts and is often served with steaming hot rice or soft, fluffy rotis to complement the heat.
4. Punjabi Samosa Chaat
Punjabi Samosa Chaat is a delightful street food that has captured the hearts of food lovers in Hatch End. This lip-smacking chaat is made by crushing a crispy samosa and topping it with chickpea curry, tangy tamarind chutney, mint chutney, yoghurt and a sprinkle of spices.
The combination of textures and flavours – crunchy, creamy, spicy and sweet – makes it an irresistible snack that is perfect for any time of the day.
5. IndiaWaale Special Mixed Grilled Platter
The IndiaWaale Special Mixed Grilled Platter is a carnivore’s dream come true. This platter features an assortment of grilled delights, including Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kabab, Prawns, Lamb Chops and Hariyali Tikka.
Each item is marinated in bold Indian spices and cooked to perfection in a tandoor oven, resulting in a smoky and succulent feast. The mixed grill platter is a great way to sample a variety of flavours and is often accompanied by dipping sauces and fresh salad.
