Okay so immediate reactions having finished the season. I liked 90% of it.

It was going well. Had me hooked. Prime Crow content. And the Nikolai/Tamar/Toyla/Nadia/Adrik group grew on me. Jesper getting to use his Zowa powers worked with the story. His dream was very expositional. But his connection to his friends kept it grounded.

But in setting up for the next season. Yay we will get the Ice Court Heist.

Boo at Inej’s journey being tied with Mal’s. I get that the Twin are in command and this will give her sea experience. She can still become Captain Ghafa later. It just irked me that she wasn’t completely independent. However, she can be retrieved for the job. And since she isn’t the captain, but sailing the seas it’s an easy way for their paths to cross and for her to once more become a Crow.

It was interesting to see the different Triumvirate. RIP David. But the three women working together should work.

No idea where they are going with Alina’s Dark Cut.

Good way to introduce Jurda Parem into the main storyline.

I will ABSOLUTELY not touch on that hint of Tolya/Inej because NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Leigh didn’t write any love triangles into the Crows and it should STAY THAT WAY.

Pekka Rollins should absolutely not still be a player on the table. That is objectionable. And no point. This arc is done. He doesn’t need to be an OP Big Bad.

Also I guess they are either waiting to address Inej’s trauma more deeply next season or they got studio notes saying they didn’t want to put sex trafficking and sexual slavery of minors on screen. Which. FAIR. But there has to be a way they can weave some of that in, just a hint. If they give us Kaz’s reasons for not being ready for physical closeness they need to honor Inej’s trauma as well.

So overall really happy with characterization and had some fun surprises. The Crows served. Wonderful to see some book lines from SIX OF CROWS and CROOKED KINGDOM.

Tentatively hopeful for Season 3.

I love how the crows suddenly travel so fast in this show. in soc it took them so long to get to fjerda and now they just hop over to shu han or ravka, last season.

tolya eating in every scene is so funny to me. (btw I just found tolya x kaz in the tags. that's wild, who of you came up with that?)

it's so weird to me to watch the crow scenes, it feels like they took all the plot lines and put it into a shaker.

this scene means so much to me. inej apologizing, knowing how kaz feels about physical contact, the second kaz spends enjoying her touch, not riddled by trauma and pain. the way the reality hits him and he jerks away - freddy is phenomenal, the way he tells a story with just his eyes in this scene! amita is outstanding at portraying inej with gentleness and so much care and respect when it comes it kaz <3

I can’t stop crying. Not just cause I’m sad, but because I’m also FUCKING. PISSED.

Netflix can’t keep doing shit like this. Playing with fans like that, giving them a show to love and support and then snatch it away like it’s no more than a number on the sales chart of the year.

They shouldn’t even be allowed to start filming book adaptations of this magnitude without some sort of certainty for the fans. Without an actual plan to bring ALL the books to life. They pretend like they care about their audience with this 'Geeked Week' and 'TUDUM' bullshit and then they will go and cancel a bunch of shows like it’s nothing. Without explanation and with zero care for the millions of fans who will be emotionally affected by this.

And I’m sorry, but what the fuck are the other 4 shows that got cancelled with SaB???!?!! I had NEVER heard of them, EVER. One of them is an animated show that has Elvis Preasley as a secret agent, like, GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK. It is truly insulting that they even put SaB and the SoC spinoff in that same category. It feels like they’re laughing to our faces.

And to make it even worse, they give shows like 'Elite' SEVEN FUCKING SEASONS!! SEVEN!!!! A series about teenagers that just fuck each other and that everyone thinks it’s SHIT. And they also make movies like 'The Archies', a 'Riverdale' spin-off (aka the show EVERYONE was glad it finally ended).

But “oh no! God forbid we renew shows that have relatable, lovable characters, loyal fanbases and good storytelling. Now that would be awful.” So they go off and cancel 'Shadow and Bone', and the 'Six of Crows' spinoff, and 'Anne With an E', '1899', 'I Am Not Okay With This', 'Sense8', 'Glow', 'Julie and the Phantoms', 'Daredevil' and the list goes ON AND ON.

Fuck you Netflix. FUCK. YOU.
