The reason why I don't make Star a cheerleader in any of my fics is because we never actually see her cheering with the rest of the squad. We never even see her wear a cheerleading uniform.

The only evidence I can think of that she's a cheerleader is she does a cheer routine in Pirate Radio while fighting off ghosts (which doesn't mean anything on its own, it's a really basic cheer that Paulina could've just taught her for fun) and Gregor/Elliot calls her a cheerleader in Double Cross My Heart (which proves nothing because he's a new student and an idiot).

And in fact, in Forever Phantom, we see Paulina on the field cheering while Star is watching in the stands.

So yeah, that's why Star is not a cheerleader or even an athlete in my fics.

A Zulay and Connor comic WIP that idk when I’ll clean up. Basically set during the Alchemist time period if Zulay didn’t die. It’s canon that just some time after her death, Word’s in a depressed/manic state, and busts into Connor’s stables to steal Beau’s egg and conduct his experiments(whilst injured, I might add).

In the event that Zulay didn’t die, I like to think she and her Dragon Eyes would have covered any on-the-ground ops. That includes threatening Connor to surrender his dragons.

All this is unfortunately a little harder for Word to do in Alchemist canon because: A) He’s not the Dragon Eye’s leader.

B) Wraith gear isn’t invented yet, so it’s safe to assume any gear would’ve been equipped onto Zulay’s men. So he doesn’t have any army without his wife’s support.

C) There’s all the economical + social backlash of accidentally killing your partner in crime with your creation. So that fallout impacts any original power they had to go through with their plans.... resulting in a near 20 year old hiatus up till canon time.
