The Sims 4 Aladdin Story (After Genie was Released, and all was saved)

(Left to Right : Sultan Amano Kalechi, Prince Zafarius Kalechi (9 months old, and Princess Jasmine Kalechi, 15 years old.)

Princess Jasmine was named Sultana of Marivutu (Oasis Spring Sims 4 world) and Draka Desert (Stranger Ville Sims 4 world) until her brother Zafarius assumed the throne at 18. Currently, Sultan Amano governs both countries.

Princess Jasmine and Aladdin have postponed their wedding to explore the world. However, the Council of Mari Draka, which includes council members from Marivutu and Draka Desert, are against their union. Even though Sultan Amano ruled in favor of the couple, the council members fear his power and possible backlash.

Anaba Kalechi and her beloved Elon got married a year after the incident that turned her into a genie. They were blessed with two beautiful children a son named Lin (male) and a daughter named Angelique Ocra Elmmoon. What the royal family doesn't know is that Elon is actually the brother of the Queen of fairies, Queen Elna, from Enkanto Karri (Sims 4 World: New Crest).

The couple had a happy marriage and decided to settle down in Marivutu. They arranged a marriage between their daughter Angelique, and Prince Zafarius, which would make them the possible rulers of the Monarch.

Lord Adom fell in love and married his beloved wife. The couple had a daughter, whom they named Arabella. Unfortunately, they both passed away due to an illness, leaving their child behind. The royal family took in Arabella and arranged for her to marry Prince Zafarius as well. In the Kingdom of Marivutu and Draka Desert, more than one spouse is allowed. It's worth noting that the Kingdom practices polygamous monarchy, but Sultan Amoano chose not to follow that tradition since he only had eyes for one wife.

Five years later, Jasmine and Aladdin got married and nine months later, she gave birth to twin girls, Princess Layla and Princess Aaliyah. However, the council of MariDraka didn't approve of Jasmine marrying a commoner and not having children of pure royal blood. The council presented two options to Jasmine. First, she would have to separate from Aladdin or Second, she could stay with Aladdin, but she would have to marry a prince from a neighboring kingdom. If she didn't make a decision, she would have to give up custody of her brother, Zafarius. Jasmine's parents passed away after she gave birth due to an illness, so at the age of 20, Jasmine became Sultana Regent until her brother is of age. At the time, Zafarius was only five years old. Sultana Jasmine chose option 2.

She made the difficult decision to marry Prince Hassan Leonard from the Kingdom of Maeria (San Sequoia Sims 4 World) and gave birth to a son, Prince Amir Leonard Kalechi, but Aladdin was not aware of the arrangement and was upset. He decided to take the girls to his mother and told Sultana Jasmine that he would no longer be a part of her world. Meanwhile, Aladdin's mother, Haima, remarried and had a son, Jaron, but her husband passed away.

Princess Jasmine had to make difficult decisions. Despite the loss of her husband, she prioritized the welfare of her people and saved her brother from the clutches of the councilman.

After 15 years, Aladdin and his wife worked on their marriage, and it greatly improved after he confessed to his affair and they both forgave each other. Now she is 9 month pregnant with their 3rd child together. He currently has another daughter Lady Sakima who her mother is Lady Zafa, Sultana Jasmine distant cousin.

However, a great war broke out for control in Draka Desert. As a result, the following events were far from predictable.

Warriors that Died from the war of Draka Dessert and Marivutu war.

Aladdin and his mother, Halima, were grieving for their beloved Jaron. However, they knew they had to be strong for the sake of their children and for Jasmine's pregnancy. Sultana Jasmine had no choice but to put an end to the war and abandon Draka Desert, which was soon taken over by an unknown enemy.

Zafa, Zafar, and Mario's grandmother, Countess Jewel Salmon, passed away. Since Zafar and Mario also passed away, the title of Countess has been passed to Lady Zafa.

There was rumors suggest that Reed Kalechi, the son of Adodore and Hana, might have taken over as the ruler of Draka Desert."

King Xavion Leonard, father of Hassan, ruling over the Maeria Kingdom, is deeply upset over the loss of his children and many of his concubines in the war. Mysteriously, all of his concubines have been killed. To add to his grief, his mother, Queen Mother Rihanni Leonard, has passed away due to the sorrow of losing some of her grandchildren. In contrast, High Concubine Roxana seems to be happy about the Queen Mother's demise.

High Concubine Roxana left the Kingdom to be with her son, Hassan, and grand son, Amir.

However there is a mystery within all three Kingdom. Let see what is to come.

14/8/21

My glutes and back of my thighs were sore from yesterday's workout 😅 Like yeah that was the goal, but it was so surprising after having such a mild week.

Breakfast - serving of yoghurt and granola with 0.5 avocado, 3 strawberries, and honey; sweetened black coffee.

Dinner - 1.5 servings creamy tuna pasta and beef curry.

Dessert - 5 pieces meringue kisses, black tea.

Snacks - 4 pieces milk rusk with apricot and almond cheese, 2 servings buttered popcorn, serving of Cola.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - 20 mins on the treadmill at 4.5km/h and incline of 10%; Chloe Ting Summer Shred 2020 abs (low-impact variations, 10 minutes).

Enjoyed today's workout! I don't know why I stopped the Summer Shred videos, they're at a perfect level of challenging but not impossible.

15/8/21

Breakfast - serving of yoghurt and granola with 1 pink lady apple, sultanas and honey, sweetened black coffee.

Dinner - serving of fried rice with beef curry and 2 servings fried bacon.

Dessert - 5 pieces meringue kisses, black tea.

Snack - 2 pieces milk rusk with apricot and almond cheese.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - none.

Went on a family zoom call during my exercise time, and by the time it ended it was too late to start a workout.

At least I ate less today.

16/8/21

Breakfast - 1 banana, 1 pink lady apple, 1 LCM bar, serving each of sultanas and roasted spiced fava beans, sweetened black coffee.

Dinner - serving of mixed steamed veggies , 0.5 corn on cob, fries, crumbed fish fillet, fish cake, fried dim sim and steamed dim sim with cheesy sauce and sriracha.

Dessert - 6 pieces meringue kisses, green tea.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - 20 mins on the treadmill at 4.5km/h and incline of 10%; 2KG arm weights.

17/8/21

Breakfast - 1 banana, 1 pink lady apple, 1 LCM bar, 1.17 servings of assorted cheese and Ritz crackers, sweetened black coffee.

Dinner - serving of white rice with beef curry, potato curry, 1 large kransky sausage, salad with garlic aioli dressing, 4 pieces papadum.

Dessert - 6 pieces meringue kisses, black tea.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - 20 mins on the treadmill at 4.5km/h and incline of 9.5%; 30 Day Fit Lose Fat (No Jumping) workout, 15 mins.

I was so ready to tap out of the workout halfway through the app's moves, but I persisted and finished with a smile! Seriously I was so happy I made it through without unapproved breaks.

I looked back on my 2020 progress because I've been feeling so stuck lately.

From the first week of 2020 to the first week of 2021, I'd lost a little over 10KG. So far this year, I've barely lost over 3KG.

I know I can never stick to projective goals, but I think if I increase my efforts... I could hit my goal weight by the end of the year. I have 19 weeks, that's plenty of time. Even if I don't, I'll still have maintained a higher level of fitness than I've ever achieved.

But going further... I wonder if I could get into the 50KG-zone by 2022?

18/8/21

Breakfast - 1 banana, 1 pink lady apple, 1 LCM bar, 1 serving of assorted cheese and Ritz crackers, sweetened black coffee.

Lunch - serving of instant chicken noodles, 2.5 servings plant based tuna, 1 large kransky sausage, peri peri dip, serving of Cola.

Dinner - 1 double patty and cheese hamburger with lettuce, spicy sauce, pickles, chilli garlic sauce.

Dessert - 6 pieces meringue kisses, black tea.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - none (classes/rest day)

Ate too much.

19/8/20

Breakfast - 1 pink lady apple, serving of Ritz crackers and assorted cheeses, serving of fruit-filled biscuits, sweetened black coffee.

Dinner - serving of roast chicken, 0.5 avocado, sliced cheese, spicy sauce in burger bun, and salad with garlic aioli dressing.

Dessert - 6 pieces meringue kisses, green tea.

Snacks - 2 servings Vege chips, glass of pink moscato.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - 20 mins on the treadmill at 4.5km/h and incline of 9.5%; 30 Day Fit (beginner legs, 18 mins).

Enjoyed the leg workout.

Felt sick after the chips and wine.

So, let me tell you... this AWESOME mod, the Broadcaster is a dream come true for me. XD I can finally have music from all the other Sims games right in my beloved Sims 3 game. ^^ But, hey--try it out for yourself. XD What I did, however, was not put all the music from each game into my game. I took the ones I really, really, really liked, or were just too unique, and made them into new radio stations. So far, I have only music from Sims 1, Sims 2, and Sims 3, plus console games. I haven't added any TSM in... not sure if I will or not though. It depends on if I like any of the music well enough to add a new station. Perhaps like a pirate station or something for my thieving-pirates, lol. Kayla Silvestre (Friend): Rebecka found her first friend in Chicago in Kayla. When she found out she liked hiking, Kayla brought her to some walking areas and it felt like an immediate bond.

Malia Agyeman-King (Friend): Malia is the debate teacher, and talking with her brings back all the best memories of her college debate teams.

Ben Miller (Friend): Ben always has something good to help her stop the thoughts racing in her head. She occasionally shares with her dad, though they don’t talk over it as much as they used to.

Esther Yoo (Friend): Rebecka heard Esther playing after school one day and just sat back and listened. Serena was a viola player as well, and the sound brings her a lot of comfort. When Rebecka briefly explained why she listened in, Esther was a great listener and they became close friends. Esther is always happy for an audience and Rebecka is always willing to listen.

Carter Bialar (Friend): Carter would have been the exact type of guy that she liked before meeting Harry. But even light flirting with him, made her ache for her husband’s laugh. He is great at coming up with active things to do for a computer nerd, and she is now equally obsessed with axe throwing.

Gretchen Sims (Friend): Rebecka met Gretchen at a yoga class in town. She was almost as flexible as her, and they struck up a bond. Gretchen also appreciates the fine art of getting high.

Shannon Harris (Friend): Shannon is very smart. They started talking about a book she referenced when going over plans and talked for hours. They now meet up regularly to get coffee or breakfast.

Miles Agyeman-King (Acquaintance): Malia introduced her husband to Rebecka, but they haven’t gotten a lot of time to talk. She’s been trying to plan some sort of joint lesson they could do with the 7th graders between the history and English departments.

Joshua Lonewolf (Acquaintance): Joshua has an incredible amount of patience for her sometimes chaotic resource checking out. He even helps her carry them to her room.

Hostile Connections:

Amaria Crais (Dislikes): Rebecka knows there is something going on with Amaria and her dad, at least emotionally. It’s not that she expects him to stay single forever, but she knows Amaria has some sort of issue with her.

Greer Finley (Dislikes): Rebecka thinks Greer is a snob who needs to mind her own business. It got out that she’d left her husband and the red head turned icy. Her dad said there was a reason, but she’s over Greer’s attitude.

Avisos + Recapitulação.

Primeiramente gostaria de avisar que estou enfrentando agora a vida universitária, então as coisas passaram a ficar um pouco mais corridas e tudo mais, além disso, estou planejando pedir transferência de curso. Uma loucura toda, contudo, espero conseguir passar por ela.

Não obstante, eu estava querendo tempo para dedicar-me à outras coisas, minhas fanfics em rascunhos. Se alguém gosta de Harry Potter, acabei de postar uma têm algum tempo, só checar meu perfil, tanto no nyah quanto no wattpad. Lady Ravena ou Sofia Veras.

Sim, eu curto de fanfics, foi através delas que comecei no mundo da escrita. Entretanto, de qualquer modo, 2017 inteiro foi dando minha vida e suor por AeA, ela é uma xodó para mim, portanto, embora eu demore ou passe por bloqueios criativos - algo que passei também nesses meses com AeA -, eu não irei abandoná-la facilmente.

Não posso prometer postagens regulares, contudo, vou tentar não demorar mais tanto assim. Eu, finalmente, consegui começar a escrever o próximo capítulo de AeA. Em breve teremos um capítulo novo, no entanto, eu fiz esse extra chamado "Recapitulação" para que os senhores e senhoras recordem de tudo o que ocorreu em Amores até agora.

RECAPITULAÇÃO.

Primeira Fase de AeA.

- Granada é o último reino árabe na Península Ibérica. A corte precisava pagar um imposto para a corte do Reino de Castela, a fim de viverem em paz no seu território, contudo, o sultão Mohammed, fica furioso quando esses impostos são aumentados pelo rei Enrique. Sem nenhum acordo, Castela toma a cidade de Al-Zahara. Mohammed consegue retomar sua cidade em uma sangrenta batalha.

- Diego Salazar é membro do exército, um aristocrata, filho de Juan e Catalina, senhores feudais de Madrigalejo. Diego foi para Al-Zahara, defender a nova conquista castelhana junto de mais guerreiros, mas, acabou lutando na sangrenta batalha de Zahara. Foi responsável pela morte de Ali, um dos oficiais do exército, contudo, Diego foi ferido por uma flecha e feito prisioneiro, sendo posteriormente transformado em escravo, forçado a uma conversão, e tendo seu nome mudado para Azad.

- O Sultão Mohammed é um monarca com sete concubinas, e uma sultana legítima chamada Hafsa, sua consorte legal. Com quatro de suas escravas, ele é pai de cinco meninas. Com sua sultana, ele é pai do príncipe Salim, o único homem, e da princesa Aisha, sendo a última sua filha mais querida.

- A princesa Aisha, perto de completar os seus quinze anos, foi enviada para Túnis - Tunísia - para ser a esposa do filho e herdeiro de um rico sheik, cujo dote oferecido para ter a princesa em sua família ajudaria na recuperação financeira dos cofres do Reino de Granada. Aisha ficou satisfeita que seu noivo também fosse jovem, e criou diversas expectativas.

- O príncipe Salim, diferente do pai guerreiro, se mostra mais pacifista e prefere se dedicar às poesias e artes que espadas e estratégias militares. Salim se apaixona perdidamente por Deborah, uma bela escrava judia do palácio. Deborah posteriormente converte-se ao islamismo por amor ao amante, e também por conta de uma experiência de fé, recebendo o nome de Latifah. Os dois se casam, embora sob desaprovação da sultana de Granada.

Segunda Fase - 4 anos e alguns meses depois do último capítulo da primeira fase.

- O casamento é infeliz e traumatizante para a jovem Aisha, sendo a princesa vítima de abusos físicos e também psicológicos por parte do marido, mas, a união deles gera a doce menina Parvaneh. Após o nascimento de Parvaneh, a princesa passou a consumir chás abortivos para nunca mais ter filhos. Aisha não é o tipo de princesa que teme a morte, contudo, sabe que precisa estar viva para manter sua filha segura.

- A sultana Hafsa começa a mostrar que por detrás do trono do sultão, ela é a verdadeira senhora de Granada, não apenas em título. Todos no palácio a temem e respeitam, as concubinas precisam curvar-se à sua presença, e os escravos precisam virar os rostos quando ela passa, pois são considerados indignos de fitar uma tamanha majestade. É o tipo de mulher que ama o poder e faz qualquer coisa por ele. Ao lado de Hafsa, temos Kamal, o chefe eunuco do palácio, e uma espécie de leal e devoto assistente da sultana, que a acompanha desde que ela chegou ao Alhambra.

- Hafsa, embora não aparente, é uma mulher muito supersticiosa. Acredita no poder dos incensos, das ervas, pedras, e principalmente nas borras de café - uma mística e antiga arte árabe de prever o futuro pelas borras de café -, e, ás vezes, a sultana sai escondida do palácio para visitar pessoas místicas. Um dia, uma breve previsão disse que Hafsa começaria a pagar pelos pecados do passado, a deixando simultaneamente assustada e alerta.

- Salim e sua esposa Latifah são quase felizes, são pais de um lindo principezinho chamado Umar. Entretanto, ainda que o sultão pareça não se incomodar com o casamento deles, a sultana parece não se mostrar tão satisfeita. Hafsa já tentou fazer com que o filho arranjasse outras esposas, mas, o príncipe revelou ser apaixonado por Latifah, não estando disposto a contrair um segundo casamento. No mais, além de sofrer pressões da sua sogra, Latifah sofreu com abortos e nascimentos de natimortos após Umar.

- Quando percebe que a sua filha está ameaçada e pode sofrer um destino mais cruel que o dela, Aisha finalmente se livra das garras do marido, pois, essa seria a única maneira de ela ter o controle sobre sua menininha. Safir, seu marido, queria casar Parvaneh com um homem de idade para ser seu pai, porém, Aisha atrai Safir para uma armadilha e o envenena.

- Aisha falsifica um documento que diz que sua filha Parvaneh está comprometida com seu pequeno primo, o príncipe Umar. Portanto, cancela o noivado que Safir tinha planejado para Parvaneh. Como a tradição diz que os filhos pertencem à família paterna, Aisha precisa deixar sua filhinha em Túnis e retornar para Granada, pois ela é filha do sultão e este não pode ficar pagando sua estadia em outra terra, contudo, a princesa se sente satisfeita ao saber que conseguiu deixar a menina em segurança.

- Abu, primo do sultão Mohammed, filho de príncipe e tio do monarca, está fazendo uma visita à Granada com segundas intenções. No fundo ele não aceitou muito bem o fato de ter sido retirado da linha sucessória, perdendo seu título de príncipe. Antes de chegar ao palácio, ele compra uma escrava no bazar para dar de presente ao harém do soberano.

- Ainda que não tenha aparecido no momento, o príncipe Yusuf já fora mencionado diversas vezes. Irmão mais novo de Mohammed, e que era para ter sido o sultão, por escolha paterna. Entretanto, inconformado, Mohammed consegue um exército e toma o trono a força. Yusuf não é morto, mas enviado para viver exilado em uma fortaleza distante.

- Blanca Rodrigues é uma aragonesa na casa dos vinte anos, oriunda da Ilha de Maiorca, filha de comerciantes. No dia de seu casamento teve a ilha saqueada, e foi separada dos pais, sendo posteriormente levada para Granada e comprada como escrava por Abu. Ela recebe da sultana Hafsa o nome de Aazeen, se tornando a oitava concubina.

- Aisha está retornando ao Alhambra, na companhia de sua leal nova dama de companhia, Naziha. Ela é recebida em em uma cidadezinha portuária do reino, onde de lá viajará para Granada. Escravos, escravas, damas e guerreiros fazem parte do seu séquito. Por estar cansada, ela decide pernoitar no Palácio da Sultana, um palácio de veraneio da mãe. Entretanto, motivada por vingança, a guardiã do palácio tenta dar um fim na vida da princesa, porém, ela é salva de última hora por Azad.

¿Infancia arruinada?: la aventura de Aladdín en carne y hueso

Si has crecido con la explosión de cintas de Disney, estoy casi segura de que dentro de tu repertorio de filmes animados se encuentra “Aladdín”, un simpático joven ladronzuelo que conoce casualmente a la princesa Jasmín y se enamora de ella.

La sinopsis de esta obra cinematográfica se nos presenta de la siguiente manera: “Rodeada por los Siete Desiertos, se encuentra la ciudad de Agrabah, una metrópoli de calles estrechas y plagadas de gente, donde en lo más alto puede verse el majestuoso castillo del Sultán. Allí vive la joven princesa Jasmín junto con su padre el Sultán y el visir real Jafar. La vida de todos ellos dará un giro inesperado después de que el joven Aladdín entre en la Cueva de las Maravillas y descubra la lámpara mágica, cuyo Genio tiene el poder omnipotente de conceder tres deseos a cualquiera que la posea”.

Siguiendo la línea de producción de los últimos años de Disney, que ha venido realizando remakes de sus clásicos animados en acción real, se hizo un llamado al director cinematográfico Guy Ritchie para realizar esta difícil labor. Y vaya que no ha sido fácil, pues han partido mi corazón en mil pedacitos.

Después de “La bella y la bestia”, “El libro de la selva” y “El rey león”, “Aladdín“ ha logrado obtener el mayor éxito en las producciones de este estudio. Pero, muchos millenialls (y yo) no aceptan que cualquier personaje salga de su preciada lámpara mágica. Sin embargo, a pesar de las innumerables quejas de sus fanáticos, los actores protagonistas no se cambiaron. Y, aunque para algunos esta película es una obra maestra, para otras personas (como yo) solo les queda mirarlo con lágrimas en los ojos.

Mena Massoud es un actor egipcio que cuenta con muy poca trayectoria actoral. No por su desempeño como actor, sino porque recién acaba de entrar en el campo de la actuación. Esta será la primera gran película sonada de Mena, quien tendrá la gran oportunidad de compartir escenario con la intérprete de la Power Ranger Rosa del 2017, Naomi Scoot. Ambos actores cantarán encima de una alfombra mágica para transportarnos a un mundo ideal.

Pero no es por ellos que la película ha sido víctima de tantos comentarios (negativos): sin duda alguna, el nombre más cuestionado de esta producción ha sido el de Will Smith. Su integración al elenco, representando al genio de la lámpara, ha dado mucho de qué hablar. Hasta el propio Smith fue consciente de que sería una difícil labor el entrar y llenar los zapatos de nuestro gran Robin Williams. En lo personal, por más simpático que sea Will Smith o por más que lo hayan pintado fielmente de azul (gracias a los efectos de CGI), no logra dar la talla. Con esto no quiero decir que no tenga un gran nivel actoral, sino que su expresividad no ha logrado encajar a la perfección con el carismático genio animado.

Como gran fanática de este film, y si tú también lo eres, estoy segura de que esta película te robó el corazón por su personaje azul. Si te preguntan qué es lo que más recuerdas de ella, probablemente tu respuesta se reduzca a las locuras y ocurrencias de nuestro querido genio. Quizás ni te acuerdes del lío que tuvo Aladdín con Jafar o el gran aprecio que le tenía el sultán a Aladdín. Por ello, he ahí el punto clave: el genio era (y siempre será) el personaje principal.

Mi niña interior se revuelve tan solo con oírlo y verlo, pero por ver al genio de 1992, no al del 2019. Y, aunque quizás no lo sepas, el genio del 92 no fue una réplica fiel del verdadero, pues el original era verde. ¿No me crees? Míralo por ti mismo…

Estoy segura que al revelarte este dato no te he arruinado la infancia. Pero vamos, que te arruinen a este ícono tan querido del año 1992 sí que duele. Duele porque Disney no entiende que, por muy excitante que sea la idea de convertir sus animaciones en live action, no logran pegar con las personas que vivieron directamente sus inicios.

Duele porque no entienden en qué consiste exactamente su propio cine de animación. Esto es tan absurdo como querer convertir a Sherk, el ogro, o a Mushu en personajes de carne y hueso. ¡Es desbarato! ¿No lo creen? Alguien debería hacerse responsable de haber arruinado, de tal forma, la infancia de algunos (incluyendo la mía). ¿Es que acaso no aprendieron con el disgusto que ocasionó la película de Sonic? ¿A quién se le ocurrió la “grandiosa” idea de que el genio podía tener esa pinta? Ese no es mi genio, es ver a un avatar o un pitufo en temporadas malas o, por último, un personaje de Sims 4. ¡Los fanáticos pedíamos ver al genio de la lámpara, no a Megamente!

Si eso no es suficiente, para hacer más notorio mi rechazo, diré, sin desprestigiar el trabajo de Will Smith, que su apariencia ha fascinado a la gente; pero, al mismo tiempo, hace que quieran matarse o sacarse los ojos como Edipo. Es como estar viviendo en el mundo de Bird Box: sobrevives a la película si no observas la apariencia del genio. ¿O es qué acaso no han visto el genio Will Smith? ¡Es desatinado! Mi niña interior no lo acepta.

Justamente, la gran riqueza que abarca esta película, para sorpresa de varios, es que esta está sujeta a una narración y visualización animada. La naturalidad del genio es de una especie de Cartoon. Y por más que el físico de Will Smith se pueda manipular digitalmente, siempre habrá ciertas restricciones previsibles de carácter técnico. Me rehúso a alabar el trabajo de un consejero humano pintado de azul, pues abandona totalmente el espíritu original de la película. Espíritu con el que crecí y que aún quiero seguir guardando dentro de mí.

Ni por más efectos especiales que me pongan lograrán plasmar el propio lenguaje, ritmo y plasticidad del genio de la lámpara, pues estos son los que hacen viajar nuestras emociones y llaman a gritos a nuestro niño interior. Los efectos 3D u otros elementos tecnológicos son lo de menos. Nada ni nadie nos traerá nuevamente al torbellino de dinamismo o esta ametralladora de transformaciones o parodias que nos traía el gran genio de Robin Williams. ¿Por qué buscamos reemplazarlo?

Lo que debemos entender, y sobre todo Disney, es que este personaje azul es una criatura de genios animados. Es sacado como una caricatura de Warner Bross. No es cualquier cosa que puede manipularse a cualquier tipo de antojo. Su apariencia es la de un actor no real. ¡Este genio no es para nada como yo lo recuerdo!

Disney confunde la característica principal de toda animación, lo colorido, con estéticas muy aborrezcas y chirriantes. Los planos se vuelven vacíos y se pierde la magia que nos introduce todo este cine animado tradicional. Hacer este tipo de remakes es desvalorizar la función que tiene este género tan valorado por personas como yo y mi padre, aquel ser que me enseñó amar todo tipo de caricaturas.

Tener la posibilidad de humanizar a los personajes ficticios no nos garantiza ni permite que la trama cuente con más feeling. Con esto no quiero decir que todos los lives actions que ha ido sacando Disney han sido caóticos. Un claro ejemplo de ello es la maravillosa cinta de El libro de la selva. Esta justamente funcionó porque involucraron una selva realista al remake. No solo ello, sino que también hubo un esfuerzo creativo adicional que no se le agregó y no necesitaba la película animada. Y es que no se buscó imitarla, sino darle un pequeño giro y adaptarla a una narración no animada.

No contenta aún con todo lo dicho, también debo recalcar los escenarios de la cinta del remake. Sin duda alguna, los del año 92 fueron espacios hermosos que me hicieron soñar de niña y que hoy, gracias al remake de Disney, he dejado de viajar a este mundo ideal. Los escenarios son abiertamente artificiales y minúsculos. Definitivamente, un caso de mal genio. Perdió la magia y mi niña interior quedó estancada y no disfrutó mucho de este mundo maravilloso. Ni siquiera de uno de sus más recordados musicales. Este tiene otro tono, uno que que se adapta a Will Smith. ¡Y vaya que no está nada mal! Pero no es la magia que te daba el genio, sino la que te da Will Smith.

Por otro lado, si me toca hablar de Jafar, coincido con varios usuarios enfadados: le falta maldad. No solo ello, sino también apariencia: largo, alto y bastante feo, pero que caía muy bien por ser bastante malvado. ¡Oh, Jafar! ¿Qué te han hecho? Tu personaje acojonaba en solo oírte. Pero, para qué seguir ahondando en esto, si ya se dieron cuenta que Jafar no fue lo peor.

Bueno, no voy a negar que entiendo que Guy Ritchie lo intentó, pero no le funcionó, pero no es culpa de él. Al menos, para alentarlo un poco, diré que el mono Abu, uno de los personajes con los que me fastidiaban mucho desde niña por la gran similiridad que guarda con mi nombre, y el loro Lago estuvieron mejor que el genio de Aladdín.

Finalmente, muy aparte de todos estás críticas realizadas, debo rescatar el giro que le han dado al personaje de Jazmín: el de una princesa más fuerte que se niega a seguir la ley si esta intenta arrasar con su felicidad. Y a diferencia de la animación, esta versión de princesa aspira a convertirse en sultana. Confía plenamente en sus capacidades para ser una excelente líder de Agrabah, que no solo velará por sus derechos, sino también por los de su pueblo.

Las moralejas principales de la animación se mantienen, hasta podría apostar que se refuerzan más. Así tenemos la lucha por los derechos, la defensa de nuestros sueños, la no conformación y la negación de los estereotipos en el liderazgo. Así que aplaudo ello, pero aún con lágrimas en los ojos.

Actualmente, como vamos, con el remake de Aladín en taquilla, solo queda esperar que Disney siga haciendo de sus clásicos animados lo que se le dé la regalada gana. Al menos, ansío con todo mi corazón que sus clásicos musicales mantengan la altura y no bajen las expectativas de soñadores como yo o como mi padre. Y aunque me pareció algo desatinado incluir la voz de Becky G en una cinta tan emocionante, creo que atinaron por suerte.

duelo mistério ele vs. ela: vote na melhor receita para acompanhar uns divinais filetes no forno!

Foi irresistível. Nenhum de nós resiste a um bom desafio. Somos os dois super competitivos, desde a ver quem responde primeiro às perguntas do Joker, na RTP, ou a jogar Trivial Pursuit ou Time’s Up, ninguém nos aguenta. Por isso, quando a Pescanova nos lançou o desafio para ver quem fazia o melhor acompanhamento para dois Filetes Forno Pescanova com temperos originais, aceitámos de imediato.

Repare no tamanho da minha autoestima ao competir contra o "chef" cá de casa! Eu posso não ser um ás no fogão, mas sou imbatível a comer. E nem o meu querido Marido Mistério me vence a inventar receitas e novas conjugações de sabores.

Os dados estão lançados. Eu criei uma divinal quinoa de beterraba com nozes e queijo feta para acompanhar uns incríveis Filetes Forno com Pimenta Preta e Limão Pescanova; Ele cozinhou um acompanhamento diferente que vai publicar amanhã. A si cabe-lhe votar na sua receita preferida e escolher quem fez o melhor acompanhamento: Eu ou Ele! E as duas receitas foram gravadas em vídeo para não haver dúvidas. A votação vai ser publicada amanhã, juntamente com a segunda receita, aqui no blog, no Facebook e no nosso Instagram. No fim-de-semana, divulgamos quem ganhou este desafio.

Ingredientes

Para 4 pessoas

4 Filetes Forno com Pimenta Preta e Limão Pescanova

2 colheres de sopa de sementes de girassol

2 colheres de sopa de sementes de abóbora

300 g de quinoa branca lavada

250 g de beterraba baby de pacote já cozinhada

2 colheres de sopa de sultanas

120 ml de vinagre de vinho tinto

Sumo de 1 limão

1 dente de alho picado

2 colheres de chá de cominho em pó

100 ml de azeite extra virgem + para servir

Flor de sal

Pimenta preta moída

200 g de espinafres baby picados

250 g de queijo feta, esmagado em crumble

Mirtilos q.b.

Nozes q.b.

1 mão cheia de endro fresco

Retire os filetes da caixa e coloque-os num tabuleiro, dentro do forno pré-aquecido a 220º C, durante 15 minutos.

Enquanto isso, toste as sementes de girassol e de abóbora numa frigideira, em lume médio, até ficarem douradas. Reserve para arrefecerem.

Coloque a quinoa numa panela coberta por água fria, deixe ferver em lume médio-alto durante 10 minutos. Escorra e reserve.

Ponha a beterraba no liquidificador e triture bem até obter uma espécie de puré. Passe o puré por um passador e deixe a escorrer durante 5 minutos.

Coloque as sultanas num tacho pequeno juntamente com 3 colheres de sopa de vinagre. Deixe ferver, retire do lume e espere que arrefeçam.

Junte o sumo de limão, o resto do vinagre, o alho, os cominhos e os 100 ml de azeite, numa taça grande, e tempere com a flor de sal e a pimenta. Acrescente a quinoa escorrida e misture bem. Acrescente agora o puré de beterraba e volte a mexer várias vezes. Deixe assentar durante 5 minutos para dar tempo a que a quinoa absorva os sumos.

Por esta altura, os filetes já devem estar prontos. Coloque-os num prato e sirva a quinoa a acompanhar: os espinafres baby por baixo e a quinoa por cima. Decore com o queijo feta em crumble, as sultanas, os mirtilos, as nozes, o endro e as sementes tostadas. Tempere com um fio de azeite extra virgem.

24/7/21

Breakfast - serving of smoothie (avocado, spinach, green capsicum, cashews, yoghurt, honey, coconut water), sweetened black coffee, 1 meringue kiss.

Snack - serving of lemon meringue pie, sweetened black tea.

Lunch - serving of instant prawn and chicken noodles with 1 egg, 2.5 servings plant based tuna, and spicy sauce, 1 meringue kiss.

Dinner - 2 servings of oven ready BBQ chicken pizza and garlic bread.

Dessert - 1 mini chocolate muffin, 1 meringue kiss, black tea.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - none.

Ate way too much for such a low level of activity. I didn't have e enough water in the morning/afternoon and wound up napping for like 3 hours in random bursts of sleepiness throughout the day.

25/7/21

Lunch - serving of sweet potato and pumpkin soup with beef and potato curry, 2 servings damper.

Snacks - 4 servings buttered microwave popcorn, 1 serving creamy soda Pepsi, 1 meringue kiss, green tea, 2 servings beef jerky.

Dessert - 2 buttermilk pancakes with chocolate sauce.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - none.

Tomorrow's the first day back at uni, so perhaps I'll leap back into a worn schedule with an exercise break in the afternoon.

26/7/21

Dinner - serving of mixed steamed veggies, 2 steamed dim sims, lamb chop, potato bake.

Dessert - 2 meringue kisses, green tea.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - none.

So I didn't exercise, because I woke up late and then spent the morning/afternoon making pancakes and more meringue kisses, but I also cut back on the snacking. I count that as a win.

27/7/21

Breakfast - 2 buttermilk pancakes with apple pie topping and caramel syrup, sweetened black coffee, 1 meringue kiss.

Snack - serving of lemon meringue pie, green tea.

Dinner - 2 servings biriyani with 1 serving chicken curry and potato curry.

Dessert - 1 mini chocolate muffin, 3 meringue kisses, green tea.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - none.

I could feel the sugar on my teeth.

28/7/21

Breakfast - 1 pink lady apple, 1 choc caramel muesli bar, 1 string cheese, 2 servings salted cashews, sweetened black coffee, 1 meringue kiss.

Lunch - 2 layer egg, bacon, cheese and fishcake sandwich on buttered white toast with sriracha, garlic mayo and BBQ sauce, 1 meringue kiss.

Dinner - 1 serving beef and vegetable stew, 1 kransky hot dog with tasty cheese and roasted onion in white bun.

Dessert - 3 meringue kisses, black tea.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - none.

Full day of classes and study.

Starting to break out in pimples with all the sugar and reduced water intake. They itch ; -;

Breakfast - 1 banana, 1 string cheese, 1 choc caramel muesli bar, serving of salted cashews, serving of sultanas, sweetened black coffee.

Snack - serving of lemon meringue pie.

Dinner - serving of biriyani with chicken curry, potato curry, salad with ranch dressing.

Dessert - 5 meringue kisses, black tea.

Snack - 1.3 servings buttered microwave popcorn.

Water - 1.8L, good.

Exercise - 21 mins on the treadmill at 4km/h and incline of 10%; Chloe Ting flat abs in 30 days (10 mins); 25 x (donkey kicks, butt bridges, double leg raises, crunches, half push-ups)

Had the last slice of pie today. The last time I made it was over two years ago, so I thought I'd commemorate it.

Wasn't planning on exercising but then the mood struck. The walk went well, and I took some very brief breaks during the Chloe Ting video but made it through all the moves okay (with a modified bunny-hop-plank because I was indoors), and then I threw on those 25-rep moves because my abs weren't really sore from the video, so either my muscles are still working after almost two months of rest, or I didn't do the video moves correctly. Felt good after it all, which is the main thing. :)

I'm thinking of trying to properly 'meal plan' so to speak, by being more mindful of what I eat. My weight loss seemed to go fastest when I reduced my intake of bread and dairy (and sugary treats too) so I'll aim towards those two goals, as well as more fruit and veg and protein to help me feel full.

The only sweet treats I'll accept will be meringue kisses, because there are so many to get through. :P

0.5KG down from last week. Hard to believe it's already been a week since last weigh in.

Still, that's not bad for only two days back on exercise (and all that sugar 😬)

Dinner - serving of mixed steamed veggies, 1 steamed dim sim, 1 serving roast chicken with spicy sauce and 2 servings stuffing, 0.5 corn on the cob.

Dessert - 1 meringue kiss.

Water - 2L, excellent.

Exercise - 21 mins on the treadmill at 4km/h and incline of 10%; Chloe Ting flat abs in 30 days (10 mins); 25 x (donkey kicks, butt bridges, double leg raises, crunches, half push-ups).

I noticed that I've lost the faint ab lines I worked so hard for all those months. ;n;

I've only gained maybe 1.5-2KGS from my lowest recorded weight, but it's really visible around my face and belly. And my arm muscles are hiding under the returning chub, which makes me sad. I worked hard for these muscles. They're still there, but I can't see them so well anymore.

Oh well, with a little work and time I can easily come back around. Just gotta stay consistent. 💪
