since when did proshipping and antishipping become general terms?? not to be that person but back in my day if you were an anti/antishipper it was in reference to a specific ship. like u were a wincest antishipper or whatever. but now i guess people use proshipper as like a boogeyman term for people that ship anything deemed "taboo" and label themselves antishippers as a signal that they only ship "pure" ships?
but it just seems like such a stupid way to differentiate yourself bc how do you know if your definition of taboo/problematic lines up with another self-proclaimed antishipper's definition? like what if your definition is anything involving pedophilia, incest, or noncon but someone else only has a problem with pedophilia and incest but doesn't mind noncon? like i feel like every time i see people talk about "proshippers" they create this false dichotomy where you're either a person who likes and ships any and every kind of taboo or "problematic" ship or you're a person that doesn't want anything to do with any of it. but i feel like in reality a lot of people fall somewhere in the middle
idk like i don't think there's anything wrong with being uncomfortable with certain ships esp. when it comes to taboo topics or wanting to be in community with like minded people. i also have icks and ships in some fandoms that i don't want anything to do with. and i don't think it's wrong to have discussions about the morality of shipping w/in a fandom. but i just find the whole language of proshipper vs. antishipper to be so unhelpful. like it just feels like virtue signaling and morality policing and it's not even specific about what that morality is supposed to be. it leaves no room for nuance. you're either a good guy or a bad guy it's just all so stupid

Since I just gained a bunch of followers and I'm going to hazard a guess that some of you are new here (or returning after a long time away), want to talk about some Tumblr basics? First up, tagging.
You can put spaces in your tags on Tumblr! This is very exciting and often why you'll see people putting commentary in tags—because they can.
It's usually considered more polite to put commentary in tags, so as to leave the original post relatively uncluttered. I find this to be especially true of visual posts like fanart and GIFs. The best time to reblog with a comment is when you're actively looking to engage in some kind of dialogue with the post you're reblogging.
Tag commentary is kind of like a whispered aside. On my own posts, I often use that space for post-scripts of a sort. I have done this at the bottom of this post, for science.
On posts that you create, tags help other people find your post through their searches. It used to be that only the first five tags on a post showed up in a search, and now it's the first twenty.
If you are interested in a topic, you can follow its tag. So, for example, if I'm interested in [throws a dart at a board] seeing Daemyra content, I can follow that tag and posts from the tag will show up on my dashboard from time to time. Here is how to follow a tag and manage followed tags.
(It's worth noting that Tumblr uses ship portmanteaus but also sometimes longform ship names, so if you're posting your original Daemyra content it's often wise to also tag it "rhaenyra x daemon," "daemon x rhaenyra," and other variants as well. Remember, up to twenty of them count!)
Tags—of both your original posts and of your reblogs—also help organize your blog. I create specific tags for posts and answered questions about my fics that I try to use every time they're relevant to make it easy for readers (or, you know, me with my goldfish memory) to find them. Here's the tag for Out of Time.
You can organize your blog, or not, however you want. I also choose to tag characters prominently featured in a post, the media property shown, and so on, mostly just for my benefit. Here are most of my original and reblogged posts featuring Daemon Targaryen. Some people get very, very granular with their tagging, but some don't tag at all. Dealer's choice!
Lastly, Tumblr has pretty robust content filtering, so don't censor yourself in tags or in the body of your post. If you post, say, #p*neapple and someone is trying to avoid posts tagged #pineapple, you might accidentally ruin their day.

some social media interaction culture breakdowns, as far as i can tell this is how these things work :3 i did this for fun and for my own amusement, so i probably got some of these wrong. please do not bite my head off. im willing to make corrections!
the differences between tumblr, twitter, cohost, and pillowfort! as far as i can tell, bsky is a twitter copy/paste, just with better site usage quality.
likes:
tumblr: do nothing. most people use this as either a bookmarking system or a "hey i saw your post and i like it". you can hide them; most do.
twitter: influence followers homefeed and algorithm. you can't hide them.
cohost: do nothing. this is for specifically "hey i saw your post and i like it". they can only be accessed by you; there's no way to make them public.
pillowfort: do nothing. this is for specifically "hey i saw your post and i like it". there is no way to access your own likes at all.
re- blog/tweet/share
tumblr: called a reblog. you can reblog with tags AND commentary, though most only reblog with tags instead of reblogging with commentary (ive seen this described as the difference between whispering to someone in an auditorium vs shouting something in an auditorium for everyone to hear)
twitter: separated into retweets and QRTs. a retweet is a direct share to your followers on their timeline with no way to add commentary, and a QRT is an embed of someone else's post with your commentary at the top, which makes it an original post.
cohost: called a share or a rechost, similar to how tumblr's system works, but the commentary culture is different. it's more common to add commentary in the post body, and discouraged to talk in the tags (based on how tagging works sitewide)
pillowfort: called a reblog, similar to how tumblr's system works, but the commentary culture is different. it's more common to share with no commentary before adding commentary, and not really common to talk in the tags. pillowfort replies are mostly where commentary happens.
replies/comments:
tumblr: unlike twitter, tumblr replies ARE NOT their own posts. they're like DMs between you and the OP, except everyone can see these messages and join in on the conversation.
twitter: replies are their own post! they function similarly to how tumblr reblog threads work, but with more limited visibility
cohost: called comments and work like tumblr replies, BUT, are able to be threaded like AO3 comments. these are actually the ONLY interactions visible for anyone to see on a post!
pillowfort: called comments, and work like tumblr replies, BUT, are able to be threaded like AO3 comments.
tags:
tumblr: TAGS ARE VERY FREE. tags are both a sorting system BUT also a way to whisper your thoughts on someone's post that you've reblogged. you can make up your own tags for your own personal blog sorting system, or keysmash your reaction to cute art. tumblr culture involves a LOT of "tag talking", in which people don't actually put their overall commentary in the body of a post, but the tags of it when they're reblogging it. when making an original post, only the first five tags are counted. tags on reblogged posts do NOT show up in tumblr search.
twitter: tags are more formal from what i can tell. they go directly in the body of a post and are an explicit way to sort posts into topics and categories. tags on replies and QRTs DO show up in twitter search.
cohost: tags are more formal like twitter, but function visibly similar to tumblr tags. they go beneath a post and are the only way to search cohost (so its not common to talk in the tags). however, unlike tumblr, all tags from every user in a rechost chain are visible and searchable in shared posts. tags on rechosted posts DO show up in cohost search (from what i can tell, it's discouraged to re-tag a share of a post to prevent accidentally spamming a tag, since the tags of the OP will transparently carry over into the rechost).
pillowfort: exactly like tumblr, without the five tag limit and without the tag talking culture. tags on reblogged posts do NOT show up in pillowfort search.
followers:
tumblr: mean nothing. if you have a lot of followers that's probably bad actually because it means you're infamous. you're the tumblr clown and everyone's watching you flail around. clout doesnt exist. you can also hide who you're following on tumblr like with likes, again, most do hide this.
twitter: clout. clout clout clout. followers is good. followers means you're famous. you can't hide this information, nor can you hide who you yourself are following.
cohost: mean nothing, but doubly so. there is absolutely no way to see how many followers you have, nor how many followers anybody has, nor who is following who. you can view your own followers, but there's no number count and nobody else can view this.
pillowfort: an odd mix of all three of the above. hidden entirely like cohost, viewable numbers like tumblr, and some sense of clout-dignity like twitter. in actuality, most users follow Pillowfort's user-created communities rather than other users specifically.
feeds:
tumblr: if you're an old user, your default is called your dashboard, in which you only get posts from the people and tags you follow. if you're a new user, (allegedly) your default is the "For You" feed. there are separate feeds separated into tabs at the top; other than the "For You" feed, you're able to customize what tabs you want to see and switch between. a half and half compromise between algorithm/no algorithm. it's there if you want it, avoidable if you don't.
twitter: you've got your "For You" and your "Following" feed (also called TL or timeline). im unsure which is set as the default, but "For You" is listed first so it's probably that. while the following feed is self-explanatory, the "For You" feed shows you posts that users you follow have liked as well as posts based on an algorithm around that. the algorithm knows all.
cohost: you also have two feeds here - "Latest Posts" and "Bookmarked Tags". Latest Posts are from those you've followed, while Bookmarked Tags is a feed you can build based on which tags you've bookmarked. there's no algorithm at all!
pillowfort: only one feed, composed entirely of posts from users you follow and communities you're in/following. no algorithm!
search:
tumblr: only the tumblr wizards know how this fucking thing works (affectionate). sitewide search brings up both text in the body of the post as well as tags. clicking on a specific tag will give you posts that have been specifically tagged with the tag. blog search is similar but it breaks often.
twitter: hell. sitewide search brings up both text in the body of the post as well as tags AS WELL AS every post made by a user who has the searched term in their goddamn handle. clicking on a specific tag will give you posts that have been specifically tagged with the tag. profile search does not exist unless you know the secret codes to put in the url.
cohost: the site can ONLY be searched via tags that exist already. blogs here can only be searched via clicking on a specific tag. however, cohost provides toggles within every blog so users can toggle on or off a user's shares, replies, and asks to their hearts delight, which makes blog scrolling customizable to the users preference
pillowfort: sitewide search is how tumblr's search is supposed to work, AND way more stable. blog search can be searched only through clickable tags, but you're also able to view only original posts or only reblogs on someone's blog.
blacklisting, blocking, muting, muffling, making posts with sensitive content
tumblr: you're able to build a blacklist based on tags, and you're able to block users. "community labels" are a predetermined set of labels users can apply to both their posts and reblogs of other people's posts, and can be toggled to the user's preference
twitter: there is no blacklist, but a "muted word" list that you can customize. there is sensitive content filtering, but it's only under a generalized "sensitive content" warning. you can mute a user if you'd rather not block, which means you won't see their posts or when they interacting with you. you are also able to block users outright.
cohost: you can set a customized "content warning" on a post for others to click through, similar to twitter's sensitive content warning, but able to be customized as needed. you can blacklist OR whitelist content warnings. for tag filtering, you can muffle (requiring a click-through) or silence (hide completely). you can mark a post as 18+ very easily. you can toggle and customize the way posts on your feed display.
pillowfort: filters and blacklist are easily accessible on the sidebar rather than hidden in the settings. however, 18+ posts can only be toggled on or off (shown or entirely hidden), there is no click-through option. you can blacklist "words and tags" all at once, or just blacklist tags, to your discretion.
posting:
tumblr: as long or short as you want. tons of different ways to post, images, videos, audio, links, ect. some VERY basic code is allowed. it USED to be go nuts show nuts, but...
twitter: theres a 300(?) character limit and a four images per post limit. you can pay money for more post characters. 18+ is more limited than other sites, but allowed.
cohost: very basic posting editor. you can code html, css, and basic markdown straight into the post if you want to. there's even a preview toggle in the posting editor to see what it looks like before you post it. literally the sky is the limit. YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW CODE TO POST ON COHOST, but if you do you can make your posts look cool. there is a "readmore" like on tumblr, but it's a soft readmore based on the post length instead of tumblr's hard readmore. 18+ is allowed.
pillowfort: a rich text editor that's built to support images, videos, links, ect. as long or short as you want. 18+ is allowed.
site-specific:
tumblr: the ability to send asks and submit posts, polls, limited profile badges (most need to be bought), blog coding customization, post blazing, sideblogs
twitter: lists, spaces, circles, and polls
cohost: the ability to send asks, user funded, no ads, anti-AI stance, range of options for profile customization, private notes (able to be left on a user's profile for only you to see), sidepages (built-in sideblogs that function as their own main blogs)
pillowfort: communities (these are in tumblr beta testing currently), user funded, no ads, anti-AI stance, a WIDE range of profile badges (99% are free, 1% are rewarded for donating to the site during specific fundraising periods)
site sign-up and apps
tumblr: free and easy, app in the appstore.
twitter: free and easy, app in the appstore
cohost: free and easy, but posting is limited for a small period of time at first sign-up. you can browse, follow users, and like posts during this period of time, but cannot make your own original posts until cohost greenlights you (they'll send an email when you're able to post; mine was just under 24 hours). they have a progressive web app hosted by chrome that functions and appears as a regular app that bypasses appstore restrictions.
pillowfort: free, but unlike the other sites and more like AO3, sign-up puts you on a waitlist for an invite code, or you can sign-up with an invite code from a user already on the site. no mobile app, but a progressive web app like how cohost has is in the works.
bsky: the twitter copy. sign-up is free, but there's a wait period before you're fully invited to set up your account unless you have a bsky invite from a user already on the site. there's an app in the appstore.

Okay so I’m going to be making a sideblog dedicated exclusively to owcs/ow2 esports news that mostly lacks my commentary and I’ll just reblog some of the stuff to this blog my own thoughts in the reblog & post my own sillychamp/meme/commentary/etc stuff to this account like I always did. I grabbed a couple URLs for it but I’m not sure which to use. I’m already leaning towards one of these but I am curious about other people’s input :)
Tumblr media
Poll under the cut
OWCS: it’s the abbreviation & tag I’ll be using for all posts including this blog since owl is now outdated obvs
OverwatchChampions: OverwatchChampionsSeries is a bit of a mouthful for a url, but it’s basically the same thing anyways
Ow2-esports: almost a callback to my original url owl-esports. And it does make it clear that I’ll be talking about more than just owcs even though owcs is 99% of the content because there’s only like one break and it’s for calling all heroes every year

Miss Cammie Dawn Masterpost
Hi all! Welcome to my combination psychology, hypnokink, fandom and personal blog! I post a ton about hypnosis mostly with a side order of mental health stuff because kink and Bad Brain are all that are on my mind.
I had bad experiences compartmentalizing my online presence years back so I keep everything in one place these days. Prevents self-loathing and impulsively deleting blogs when the shame wins. It's an all or nothing deal. Sorry about that.
I'm British. I have red hair. I'm 39 years old and I've been active in the hypnosis community since I was 19 and presently am prioritizing working with educators at hypnokink events and doing photoshoots where and when I can.
I'm fairly open about my DID diagnosis and the treatment we are in. We try to do what we can to walk the line between not suppressing our individual expression(s) without glorifying our condition and erecting further divide between parts. I avoid syscourse where I can and typically do not advertize specific things about my parts, we are all "me" just in different lights so I'll never post stuff like individual ages/genders or such. I'm open about the condition but private about the circumstances and manifestations. Please respect that.
I am addicted to tags. If you ever want to find my original content or my fandom posts you will be able to easily here. Just click on the links below and all shall be neatly organized.
Also there are secret tags which are not advertised. Those ones are for me. A little personal treat.

about me !!
hiiii i’m zero (HE/him) — your regular degular boydyke !
i’m 19, Black, trans (t4t), disabled, audhd (autistic + ADHD), and a switch kinkster <3
not always online, but i have a pretty consistent 24hr queue. besides that, i reblog from my likes so if i spam like it's because i'm coming back to reblog soon!! i try not to tho
this is a NSFW blog so minors and ageless accounts will be blocked!
currently tentatively allowing teases in asks and in response to my posts/tags. don’t be weird or i’ll take that back lol.
dms are opened to anyone from 18 to about 26, but fair warning — mostly interested in talking with trans people. if you’re not trans, be Black. if you’re not Black… don’t be white. if you’re white… good luck. (exceptions may apply if you're local)
also don’t come in immediately talking about kink! i do not know you like that. start up a convo first pls so i can see you have substance.
same username on twitter and fetlife.
tags explained in the read below :3
my tagging system !!
personal —
my original posts/additions: #zero things in my brain
my answers: #zero answers
“me-core”: #absolute zero
“wants/needs/desires”: #zero in (commentary in tags)
my favorites: #fave
specifics —

contents —
nsfw tag: #explicit
gifs/pictures/videos (generally irl): #visuals
videos: #video
teases (generally text): #teases
tickle tags —
general tag: #zero function
i usually tag specific body parts, but in general!
#lower body, #upper body, #all over body
i tag #feet specifically so they can be blacklisted though i don’t tend to rb feet since i’m not into them much either, they tend to just be included in other sets.
i try to be careful with tagging so you can blacklist anything you don’t want to see. sometimes cnc too but it’s always always tagged and isn’t hardcore.

Hello there,
Welcome to my blog.
I’m Redley. Relatively new to Tumblr still, but I’ve been finding that I’m comfy here. Though it still feels awkward (thanks, dysphoria), I prefer she/her pronouns. I don’t mind they/them, but… meh. Note that Redley is neither my legal or chosen name; it is solely a handle, and I will only tell you my chosen name if I feel comfortable with you. If I extend that trust, please treat it with respect. If you don’t, I will remember.
Here’s the main stuff I’m comfortable sharing or want you to know about me:
1) I’m transfem, but haven’t had an opportunity to do much actual transitioning yet. Dislike my voice, adore my hair. My luscious, glorious, flowing hair.
1.5) I am likely pansexual, but I haven’t done enough research to know for sure. All I know is, people are… well, people are hot.
2) I live in Florida, but was not raised here. The climate and scenery are nice; the local government sucks ass though. Also, I miss snow.
3) I’m a diagnosed autistic, falling somewhere on the high-functioning end of the spectrum. I’m on prescribed antidepressants, but have not been able to find a psychologist/psychiatrist yet because it’s fucking Florida.
4) There are a lot of things and people I don’t understand, but I’m always open to learning. Trying new food is a special passion of mine, and I’ve met some quite fascinating new people since starting this blog. (*eoughck* @potentially-a-poser *aucghk* @analogue-system *ahem*)
5) I will not tolerate hateful behavior. You will be immediately blocked for shit like denying any of the shades of aro/ace individuals as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you see me spreading misinformation or saying something that excludes members of the community, please tell me. I’ll research the matter, as well as review any sources you send me.
5.5) okay so I think I’m demiromantic
6) I do not mind being tagged or sent asks or otherwise brought into conversations. People who abuse that will likely get blocked, but whatever your social anxiety is telling you probably comes nowhere near ‘abuse’ in my book. Anonymous asks are enabled, but that can likewise change if the feature is abused. Hate asks will be blocked, naturally.
7) I would prefer being asked before you directly message me. If you don’t, there is a possibility you’ll be blocked, but it’s not a guarantee. I don’t want me and my friends’ conversations getting buried by anything.
8) If you consistently and frequently post tiktok/reddit memes with little to no commentary, I may block you simply out of annoyance should you repeatedly show up on my dash. It’s not personal. If something about you makes me suspicious or uncomfortable, but not outright offended, I’ll most likely notify you of my reason before I block you.
9) Age: pick a number between 1 and 100 because it’s none of your fucking business. None of you are entitled to any of my personal information, regardless of the reason. I will share only what I want.
My Behaviors
There are certain things I gravitate towards or away from on this site. Here’s some:
1) I am most likely to follow people who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, are mentally ill, or are dealing with some variety of personality disorder. This is mostly just due to the fact that I find the most common ground with those people. But even those who I have little common ground with, I’ll tend to find very interesting.
2) I don’t mind things like roleplay and hornyposting on my dash, but will almost certainly not interact myself, or make original posts in that category. More extreme examples won’t necessarily get you blocked or unfollowed, but… well, my filtered tags list may grow.
3) I don’t always tag reblogs. This may mean that my followers will see random things that caught my interest. It could be art, shitposting, tender affirmations, politics, or just goofy-ass Tumblr shit. If something I regularly reblog/post about bothers you and isn’t properly tagged, let me know.
4) I am discovering that maybe, I might, perhaps, be a little bit nosy. When I see someone receiving hate or suffering and stressed, I am likely to take it upon myself to do or say something to try to make them feel better. If I bother you with this, I will not be hurt or offended if you block me. In general, I will do my best to be respectful of it when people draw boundaries, so don’t hesitate to draw any you feel necessary.
5) If your intentions are pure, you will likely find that I try to be forgiving and/or understanding of your mistakes, at least in regards to interacting with me. (The /or is a very important distinction.)
6) I will often be attracted to dark, tragic, or dystopic works of art/fiction. I get a form of catharsis from such media, and some of my writing will reflect that.
That’s about it.
That’s all the important stuff I can think of, aside from tags which are at the end. Still, this post may be updated or rewritten in the future. In general, just be kind and open-minded, and we’ll get along fine. Even if you disagree with me, as long as you are civil and rational about things, I’ll likely have no problem interacting with you.
Be safe, and be yourself! <3
🇵🇸🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
My Tags:
#redley’s playlist - Some of my favorite songs!
#redley’s photos - Photos taken by/of me!
#writing - Writing related things and occasionally stuff I’ve made! (#poetry will also contain some of my work)
#let me just frame this one - My personal favorite posts by others. Put that right up on the wall!
#cw/tw: [content] - I will tag posts that I recognize may be disturbing to others with content warnings and/or trigger warnings. This way, you can filter content that may be harmful to your mental health to view. If a post is missing an important one, let me know.

We’re back in business, baybieeee!
Long story short, being disbanded didn’t last long. You numbskulls missed us and we missed you. Team Skull is a family yo!
So since our poor Shady House just sat empty in our brief absence, we decided to slap a few dozen new coats of paint on it and move back in! And with Aether outta our hair, we can leave all that crap behind us and get back to our regularly scheduled chaos. No more wormholes and interdemensional horrors, just good old, family-friendly, petty crime.
Follow to stay up-to-date on what’s going down in Po Town, and send your asks if ya got ‘em!
Wanna be a part of the fam, but you're not in Alola? Check out the Team Skull Expanded Directory HERE!

__________
Heyo, it's the mun here! Everything here below the cut is blog info and housekeeping~
GENERAL INFO AND BLOG CANON:
This blog acts as the in-universe "official" page for Team Skull. It's run by Calla, who is considered the "head grunt" of the team. While it's supposed to be run as an official update account, she often uses it as a personal blog. More info on Calla can be found here and here.
While this blog is mostly gen, it's definitely more on the pg-13 side. Given the nature of Team Skull, there will be swearing, adult humor, and innuendo. If this makes you uncomfortable, feel free to block, I promise I won't get offended!
In the history for this blog, Team Skull reassembled about a year or so after disbanding, this time without any influence from Aether. They're back to just being a gang of goofy hooligans.
Should also note that this will more or less follow Sun and Moon's canon. I didn't particularly care for a lot of the plot changes in USUM, especially regarding Lusamine’s arc, so I'll be disregarding most of them.
While anyone is welcome to interact, I generally prefer other human characters over sentient pokemon. This blog follows the canon that pokemon are only slightly more sapient than real life animals, and Calla will assume most pokemon-run blogs are just people role-playing, and she's just playing along. (Whoa, meta!)
The above rule also applies to canon characters from other franchises/series.
Pelipper Mail is open and will be treated as if it was actually delivered via Pelipper (or other flying Pokemon)
RULES AND BOUNDARIES:
This blog is generally LOW-STAKES. While Calla may occasionally make commentary on higher-stakes events, please do not attempt to rope me into high-stakes scenarios without discussing it first. Absolutely no ultra/death-stakes. While mentions of death are fine and expected (such as in a backstory or in reference to agriculture/Pokemon as food) I prefer not to participate in it directly. I'm mainly using this blog for goofy fun-times, so please be considerate.
If you OR your character are a minor, absolutely NO flirty/romantic interactions. Friendly interactions and banter are fine and encouraged, but both me and my character are full-grown adults. This is a hard line to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
No magic anons!
This one isn't a hard boundary, but I tend not to lean too far into things like fallers/alternate realities, Pokemon-human hybrids, etc.
☆ Overall, this blog's canon tends to be more on the realistic side. I started this blog because I loved the idea started by @/realpokemon of combining the whimsical Pokemon world with the mundane-ness of the real world, and the challenge of balancing the two. While a lot of blogs in the community lean into the more zany and fantastical side of Pokemon, I just personally prefer keeping things more in line with the mainline games but with a touch of realism more akin to the real world.

Welcome to tumblr now what...
Hi, I wrote this up for my cousin because she’s never used any platform, but since a lot of twitter users are coming to tumblr, I thought I would share as someone that has been here... way too long. This blog might only be a year old, but i lived through tumblarity. both times. ugh.
cause i will use this interchangeably and forget to clarify, tumblr dash (short for dashboard) is more or less the same as twitter feed.
likes - these are a thumbs up. A nice little ‘hey this post is cool!’ or ‘i agree with this post.’ users can elect in settings to have their likes visibly on their page, meaning when you go to their actual tumblr, theres a link to liked posts. however, i have always disabled this in the same vein that none of you will ever see my ao3 history. if you get a like, you’ll get notified, but that’s all it really does in the grand scheme of things.
reblogs - if theres a post you want to share, reblog it.  reblogging it puts it on the dash (feed) of anyone that follows you. tumblr does have a setting to see popular posts, ‘in your orbit,’ or ‘for you’ as in things it thinks you may like.  it has a setting for recommended posts into your feed. i, and mostly everyone i know, disable these features and rely solely on their dash.  so assume if you’re reblogging this post, you’re sharing it to make sure the people that follow you also see it. if no one reblogs this post, then only the 150 people that follow me will see it and it will die. which is totally cool. im rambling all over this shit and forgot what capital letters are. its probably half wrong anyways.
some people will say always reblog instead of like. i think its give or take. it depends on what you like, what you want to share, you’re weird taste in shit you want people to know about and not know. if you reblog, you will make sure more people see something wonderful and its a really lovely and free way to help writers, artists, etc. spread their art.
commenting on a reblog - its not necessary.  I probably do it once in a blue moon these days.  adding a comment in your reblog is like jumping into the conversation. usually i reserve this for things that are important and want others to build on as well. or continue the shitpost cause i like to think im funny sometimes. if its something like my bullshit commentary that really does not apply to anything in the post or i dont want spread on everyone’s dash as they go on to reblog it, i write it in the tags. for example, please reblog this and add anything i missed that helps you navigate tumblr. write in the tag if you think its bullshit and i should delete.
replies - replies were made because when they didn’t exist, people would have ‘dash conversations’ by reblogging one post over and over and over and over again.  it would be a post of 50+ posts of two people having a conversation and about things like is it red or blood orange.  this was especially awful in rp when sometimes posts would only be a few sentences asking ‘hey whats up how are you.’ so use a reply if you want to tell the original poster something, but youre not adding onto the post.  a good reply to this post would be a ‘thanks for posting this’ but a good reblog with a comment would be ‘i agree, but also you forgot this important bit!’
something different than twitter (i think???) - your replies do not just show up on someone’s dash. they have to click the little word bubble on the post to read them.
tagging - tagging someone with an @ will give them a notification that you mentioned them in your post.  you can also tag in replies.  you don’t need to tag the original poster in a reply because they will get a notif that says ‘___ replied to your post.’ my brain is fuzzy here, but i believe if you put a reply on a post that is a reblog, both the current poster/reblogger and the original poster will get notifs. i only say this cause some people get annoyed by too much tagging, but as someone that doesnt give a shit, just always tag me. tumblr eats shit or doesnt work sometimes, so just blow up my notifs.
asks/submit - some people enable you to ask or submit posts.  when they answer the ask or approve the submission, it will end up as a post on their dash.  if the ask is not anon, they can also reply privately. a lot of people do not allow anons these days because while tumblr is one of the better social medias ive encountered, there are still some assholes that like to send hate anons. and i will say this for the people skimming this - ASKS GET EATEN. aka they disappear from asks boxes or don’t even show up. if someone says they didn’t get it, there’s probably like an 80% chance they are not lying. there’s a 20% chance they are and don’t want to answer it but like that’s their choice too.
messaging - for the new kids, this is DMing. for the cool kids in back, this feature was enabled cause aol took aim away from us. this caused a huge panic of how do we privately talk to our friends since while replies are okay for convos, anyone can see them and tbh can get cumbersome for longer communication.  i use this feature a lot to send my friends posts that i need to make sure they see.  maybe its not my sort of content id reblog, but i know for a sure thing they will love it, so im passing it along for them to reblog, laugh at, tell me im an asshole cause its a meme making fun of them, etc.
ask games - sometimes people reblog posts that say SEND ME A NUMBER and theres a list of numbered questions.  as i grew up here in roleplay, i was taught it was good tumblr etiquette to always send numbers to the person you reblogged from. I was also taught just to send numbers if you see them cause you’re cultivating friendships here and maybe you don’t know the person, but TRUST ME, they will love and appreciate you took the time to get to know them just a little. its not hard to send 1-5 and then fuck off but it will give them something fun to do and maybe make their entire day so.. send the numbers.
WHAT YOU SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO: who interacts with your posts a lot. do you see the same username liking your things? does the person reply a lot. FOLLOW THEM! reply to their posts! fangirl from afar and send a shy ask saying hi i love you. propose on the dash.  answer their questions. become FRIENDS. we’re all the weird kids here so don’t worry, we love you already.
WHAT NOT TO DO: NEVER STEAL POSTS OR CONTENT. this means, you see a pretty piece of art- reblog it. do not right click, copy link to image, and make your own post.  love a passage someone wrote? see a HILARIOUS joke? do not copy and paste it into your own post.  If you feel in someway you NEED to do this, contact the original poster, ask permission and how they want to be credited.  you might have to link to their tumblr, you might have to link to their tumblr, ig, ao3, website, mom’s best friends snapchat, whatever... you listen to how they want to be credited and respect it. and if they say no? go reblog it and sit down. this is the same how you would never copy and paste someone’s tweet and say it as your own. or would you???? is that a thing??? maybe i shouldn’t be helping you come here...
ALSO, JUST LIKE AO3, NOTES MEAN NOTHING. a lot of notes does not mean its a great post. Something can have 500 notes and its two friends shitposting ‘hi’ back and forth in the replies 250 times each.  and yes, this has happened before and will happen again because this is a hellscape.
crabs/april fools/tumblarity/fonts and colors/xkit - you know how in YOU they have those like seven totems of living in LA? same concept except when you understand it all, you’re cursed to live here forever. you’re welcome.
--- --- ---
please expand, add to this, tell me im wrong, tell me to get off tiktok cause i need to stop yelling at children to let me love my favorite ships idc what canon says.
the good news is, if you think you’re doing it wrong, then youre using tumblr right.  people might say don’t use it like a diary, but you bet ill write a long ass post venting about my depression and/or that my sock has a hole in the toe.  people say posts have to have content and length... brevity is the soul of wit or whatever and i love a good shitpost and i will reblog a post that is legit ‘wish i could pet a dog today.’

Can anyone help me find this particular tumblr post about Return to Oz?
It started out with the OP saying something like "Gonna sit down to watch Return to Oz (or did they say "the 80's Wizard of Oz" sequel"?) then the rest of the commentary was in the OP's reblogs like, "Dorothy is being tied down for electro-shock" etc. It was a pretty standard "Whaaaat is thiiiis?" kind of post, with the OP and others adding reblogs talking about the wild things happening onscreen.
I thought it would be easy to find, because it seemed to blow up and have tons of notes (I think it was made by a popular blog?) But maybe the OP didn't tag anything since they were initially just reblogging their scattered thoughts on the film in different reblogs, and then others took it from there.
One particular reblog (not from the OP) was interesting though, talking about the way the film removes any potentially queer aspects of Ozma's backstory. That's mostly why I want to find the post again, to track down that specific reblog, because it at least had a point I kind of agree with. (I thought i reblogged that reblog with a comment in the tags like "I love this film but the handling of Ozma's backstory was one of the weaker thing about it - still love it tho" but since I don't remember the specific words I used in my tag response, I get no results in my search function on my blog, alas.
If anyone remembers the post and can help me track it down, thank you SO much!

Hello!
Just a brief into post - I'm Micro, she/her, mid 20's
I joined tumbler 11 years ago in the days of superwholock, but Good Omens keeps bringing me back.
This blog is pretty chill. It's mostly reblogs of Good Omens art/meta, but occasionally I'll be possessed by the intense need to type out my own thoughts.
Below I've gathered links to most of my past Good Omens posts/additions:
The holy water fight, and why it's meaningful
Aziraphale never actually stopped guarding Eden
Could Aziraphale and Crowley be affecting reality without realizing it?
How the Metatron manipulates Aziraphale into believing he said yes
Kindness is contagious (and Heaven and Hell are starved for it)
Aziraphale and his ball mirrors God and Her ineffable plan (and some additional thoughts in the tags and comments)
The Apology Dance is a reference to a bit from Neil's tour in 2011
My first and probably only attempt at making gifs (Aziraphale, Crowley, and forgiveness)
Failed communication is a consistent theme in season 2 (my thoughts have changed a bit since I wrote the meta part of this post, but I'm thinking of writing a follow up!)
Apple/Ox rib parallels
On Crowley's reaction to Nina's assumption that they're together
First thoughts on the kiss after season 2 aired
Crowley is asking Aziraphale to move in, not to just spend the night
Some notable excerpts for the Good Omens DVD commentary
Eden storyboard answers
Crowley's smile in 1941 is him realizing they're still friends
On "human incarnate". which aged... poorly?
I also occasionally make music videos!
It's a Hard Life - Queen
Daddy's Car - Sir Chloe
One Less Angel - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

I just noticed I made it over 2,000 followers, and I want to say thank you to everyone who’s found my blog of interest in the past six months since I started moving my fics over from Wattpad where I first write them.
The number is honestly a really cool feat, but I also do take into consideration that this has been my same Tumblr since I graduated high school in 2014. So I don’t know where I started before I rebranded the blog for fics.
This blog actually used to be dedicated to the Psych🍍fandom, and also worked at taking my innocence with the sporadic p*rn posts. 😂
Jesus.. I’ve written 105 fics, and 58 Chapter’s in a completed story all since October 2021, most of which surpassing the 2k word mark. 😳
You’d think I had no life, but really I do a lot(I swear to it), I just don’t sleep that much, and have the free time while at work to write.
I’ve been keeping y’all “fed”, maybe not always the most scrumptious of food, but damn that sure is a lot. It was about damn time I turned my daydreaming into something palpable. 😂
Anywho, thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who has read my stories, and engaged in anyway. Whether it be through a like, a reblog, or the amazing commentary, you’re all very much appreciated.
To the handful of friends I’ve made along the way, thank you as well for engaging with me, and all the support you continue to show me.
This almost comes off like a goodbye, but it most definitely isn’t, I just wanted to express my appreciation. ❤️❤️❤️
If anyone wants to send in a request, I’d be more than willing to write them, but it’ll just be after I finish writing about four part 2’s lol. I tagged this will all the characters I write for, and though I mostly write for fem!readers I am also open to writing for gn!reader from time to time.
Tumblr media
Also here’s a virtual hug ❤️

Kind of surprised I have to make this post, but as a PSA, I don't agree 100% with everything I reblog
Sometimes I reblog things because I think they're an interesting perspective I hadn't considered before, but want to think more about. Sometimes I reblog things because I agree with the overall point even if I disagree with the phrasing of some things or minor points. Sometimes I reblog things I'm still making up my mind about, but that I thought added value to a conversation. Sometimes I reblog things whose ideology I align with but that take a completely different approach than I would.
I'm not going to write out a whole thesis in the tags on every post about which sentences I agree with and which I don't. I think if you've been following me for a while you know my values and what I'm about, and it's fair to assume that perspectives that show up over and over again are things I really do fully agree with. I'm never going to reblog something I fully or mostly disagree with without commentary making that clear, but if I see a post that makes a good point but that I have some more nuanced feelings about during my Mindless Scrolling Time, I might reblog it without putting on my Academic Hat and deconstructing every bit of it in my reblog. Maybe I'll bring it up to a friend irl later if I have a lot of Thoughts.
The only thing you should assume I agree with 100% without question are posts I write myself. And even then, if the post is more than a year old, I may have grown and changed some of my opinions since then.
Just wanted to put that out there because I've gotten a few asks recently that say something to the effect of "I can't believe you really think x" (referring to a post I thought had an interesting perspective I hadn't seen articulated in that way before), or "wooww, [quotes a line from a post that's referring to a specific approach I wouldn't take, but respect the right of other people to]". Like sorry but if you have an issue with the way a post is written or the choices of the person writing the post, consider taking that to the OP??
If you want to come into my askbox and start a conversation in good faith abt something, that's fine. Please do definitely tell me if you feel like I've reblogged something that's part of a broader context that doesn't seem in line with my values but that you think I probably am not aware of. Ie, I reblogged a post with terfy undertones without realizing, or I reblog something that I think is just being critical of the government but is actually contextually part of an anti-voting strategy/discourse. It's ok to say "hey I was surprised to see that on your blog, I didn't think that aligned with your values"-- maybe I'm missing context or am still figuring out how I feel and would welcome other perspectives.
But I'm not going to take responsibility for how other people phrase things or the choices they make with regards to how they live their values/politics. People coming into my askbox mad about one sentence of a post I reblogged, assuming I agree with the post 100% and would say that myself, without making an effort to educate/discuss in good faith, will be ignored.
Surprise surprise, reading something and thinking it would be valuable for other people to read too is not the same thing as endorsing the entire text uncritically by default.
If you want to know how I actually feel about something, feel free to politely ask.

Pinned Intro
I've noticed people have been making these cute little info posts. It's been a while since I've gone around with a target plastered to my back, so why not.
Tumblr media
About Me
You can call me Rose. I am an agender, sex positive aroace individual. Singular they/them pronouns are preferred.
My interests include psychology, horror/gore, reading, gardening, and watching documentaries (yes, I'm a blast at parties). Sarcasm aside, though I do prefer solitary activities, I'm not entirely devoid of social needs. They're just not my forte, I suppose. My generally apathetic nature is typically ill-received. I'm also mute, so that tends to complicate things.
Tumblr media
Content
This blog is my way of expressing the thoughts and opinions I otherwise wouldn't have the chance to voice. Mainly I focus on topics involving mental illness and neurodivergency, especially those I have personal experience with such as autism, DID, and SzPD. Occasionally, I'll reblog memes as well. They help split up all the heavy shit.
I'm open to civil disagreements and am more than happy to hear oppositional sides to most topics. That said, if you in no way intend to be respectful or you view any attribute about me as inherently immoral, predatory, or any other stereotypes one can think up, then by all means try me. Just know I don't value your opinions whatsoever and will respond accordingly. It's only fair, seeing as you don't value my existence.
Tumblr media
Tags
Tags aren't my strong suit but I will occasionally use them when I see fit, mostly for my own organizational purposes. You may ask me to tag something but, considering this blog's usual content, I suggest more sensitive people simply steer clear. Unless you're intending to use social media as a form of self harm, it's doubtful this blog will do you much good.
That said, my personal tags are:
#my post - Posts I've written.
#tag tangents - Commentary was added in the tags rather than the post itself. Get digging.
#reblog reply rebuttal - Additions and responses to previous posts.
#age is a chronological construct - Discussions about the complicated dynamics of different life stages or what parts age plays in society.
#hate never changes - Discussions about hate groups or the act of bigotry and prejudice-inspired behavior or thoughts.
#the kids are not alright - Topics pertaining to the struggles children endure and what damage trauma and mistreatment have on future behavior.
#fighting fire with fire - Counter discourse and general aggressive backlash against inflammatory posts.
I do try to use community tags whenever applicable. Tags will be added to this list as needed.
Tumblr media
Discourse
As for my stances and general opinions in relation to discourse discussions, I made a separate post summarizing each point which you can find here, but in summary;
Proship/Comship
Pro Consanguinamory
Pro Paraphilia
Pro MOGAI
Pro Self-diagnosis
Pro Kink
TransID Neutral
Endo Safe
Anti Syscourse
More will be added as I come across other debated topics that catch my interest. Feel free to mention anything not listed and I'll look into it.
Lastly, I don't, nor will I ever, have a DNI. To me, they just paint a target on your back for anyone to know precisely what will upset you, nothing more. As welcoming as I am towards hate mail, it's much more satisfying to me if it's fueled by something I've said rather than some silly list.

Now that I’m on desktop it’s come to my attention how extreme the degree to which mental illness has had me hiding, lurking, ducking, diving, “later”-ing and otherwise avoiding reblogging or sharing my thoughts . I have made sporadic appearances but then go back into hiding by way of either drafting what I thought I wanted to post but didn’t want to be seen avoiding socializing or using a side blog to rb those things where I could do it w/o the pressure to add commentary in the tags or even have anyone know I’m online to begin with. I do use that blog mostly w/ a theme pep it’s not just a post dump acct but the point here is that apparently I’ve got 794 drafts 😅 so I’ll probably be queueing those up shortly lol
umm…so since apparently December 2020 (😳😨) I’ve been on-again off-again Tumblring selectively a lot of “late” shit or outdated “news” may show up typed in a way as if it was just brought to my attn or is fresh info; well, it was at the time and that was my reaction, at the time, so no I’m not necessarily harping on a thing from over a year ago unless a fucking Kris pic shows up in which case pls message me to tell me. I went thru and tried to delete any of them out of my drafts but I may have missed it unintentionally
