The bouncing block of slime is capable of copying the equipment of its enemies, the different things they can copy are: weapons (not only applying on hit effects but also enchantments), shields (being able to block projectile weapons like bows and crossbows), and totems to prevent their own death.
Their goo is also known to be able to be used to copy a piece of equipment to the last detail regardless of what material or enchantments it has.
It's ability seems to be an evolved version of that of a mimic octopus, the mimic octopus would copy the behavior and looks of other animals for both hunting and self defense. But it seems the mimic cube can copy other materials to the very last details, including pieces of equipment.

These little creatures have incredible abilities, including but not limited to being able to smell and taste the water with their "nose" to hunt their prey, their claws are also a unique barb that allows them to hunt for fish.

A once believed extinct species, these flying creatures will attack any player that hits it, biting back with its protocesis, it also uses it to hunt its main pray, the cosmic cod, which can be used to tame them.

unrelated to the current ask game but the words "kimharry x-files au" are now burned into my consciousness. no pressure to write it though!! i'm just grateful for you introducing the concept to my brain, i will be thinking about it continuously for at least the next month

KIM: Yes, I am.
GOTTLIEB: How so?
KIM: By reputation. He's a Koenigstein-educated psychologist who wrote a monograph on serial killers and the supra-natural that helped to catch Monty Props in ‘31. Generally thought of as the best analyst in the violent crimes section. He had a nickname at the academy... Spooky Harrier.
PRYCE: What I'll also tell you is that Yefreitor Du Bois has developed a consuming devotion to an unassigned project outside the bureau mainstream. Are you familiar with the so-called "X-Files?"
KIM: I believe they have to do with unexplained phenomena.
PRYCE: More or less. The reason you're here, Lieutenant Kitsuragi, is we want you to assist Du Bois on these X-Files. You will write field reports on your activities, along with your observations on the validity of the work.
KIM: …Am I to understand that you want me to debunk the X-Files project, sir?
GOTTLIEB: Lieutenant, we trust you'll make the proper scientific analysis. You'll want to contact Lieutenant-Yefreitor Du Bois shortly. We look forward to seeing your reports.

HARRY: Sorry, nobody down here but the R.C.M.’s most unwanted.
(Kim opens the door to see Lieutenant-Yefreitor Du Bois sitting at his desk wearing glasses, going over some slides, as The O.O.’s ‘35 hit We Go On blasts from the radio. Walking slowly to him, Kim sees various pictures of cryptids and a poster that reads "I Want to Believe" with a phasmid on it. Harry looks up at Kim.)
KIM: Detective Du Bois. I'm Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi, I've been assigned to work with you.
(Harry shakes Kim’s hand.)
HARRY: Oh, isn't it nice to be suddenly so highly regarded? So, who did you tick off to get stuck with this detail, Kim?
KIM: Actually, I'm looking forward to working with you. I've heard a lot about you.
HARRY: Oh, really? I was under the impression...
(He smiles.)

Fox, less than 5 min of talking to a Jedi, trying to get updates on the finding Feemor situation: Please excuse me, I have to go scream off the side of a building and take a breather or I will not be able to stop myself from punching you in the face
Meanwhile Feemor: :( no one remembers me at the Temple. I'm all alone here. Dooku and Ventress are offering me found family and people that will remember me and I feel so guilty for accepting. Fox will never forgive me.
Fox, on the other side of the galaxy: boys we're fucking deserting because everyone around us is incompetent and I cannot handle these feelings
Anyways, I'm excited to see how this progresses! Palpatine is gonna be >:( when he gets the notif like Count Dooku has achieved one (1) new apprentice! Congrats! Your puppeted war is now an actual one! You have gained one (1) archenemy! This should not be a surprise to you.
OH I JUST REALIZED does Dooku know about the chips? If he does and lets it slip... O.O...
Also, this Feemor curse forgetting thing is like affecting me irl all the time. I keep thinking Ferrus and I know it's not the right character but for the life of me I never seem to remember Feemor's name

hiiii today's reminder is new 127 song!!! yes i still refuse to call it by its name.
positives: one, love seeing Jaehyun leading a song and also rapping that much, I'm so used to 127 raps being just Mark and Taeyong, it's nice to see others shine, inc Johnny here. two, the line distribution was almost fair, who'd've thought? three, Yuta's "fill up the tank, pour that gasoline on me" part is, i think, the most aroused I've ever been in my life. four, they all look super good, but is that not a given. also idk if this is a pro or con, but that train set with Mark and Taeyong really reminded me of the 100 music video and now i miss superm again. also the neon lighting bit was an… interesting choice, esp with the splatter marks, maybe I've just watched too many cop procedurals, but they made it work somehow
negatives: the fucking chorus. i really genuinely like the entire song except the chorus. i see what they were trying to do, but it feels like an outsider imitation of 127's sound. like o.o to next level. and boy the music video. so much was happening, I've watched it like six times and i still couldn't tell you what was going on, just that there was a car swinging behind them at one point. it was just sensory overload max, just bright flashes and weird saturation and sudden closeups. which sticker also was, but again. this feels like a weird imitation, like they copied all the same elements but didn't take any of the restraint that made it work.
I'm surprised the album isn't out yet, i was excited to listen to the b sides today. i guess that review will have to wait for now. but this song. i think it might grow on me as i see the whole stage, but it definitely is not going anywhere near my favourites list
Hiii, I agree every single part of the song is perfect, immaculate 127 127ing. But that damn chorus!! I hate it I hate it I hate it so much! Whyyy? Why? I loved Jaehyun's rapping like yes, I would love an even more rap heavy song. Get Yuta on this action as well. Speaking of, Yuta's elevator scene honestly a better choice couldn't be made. And Jaehyun and Jungwoo's part in the rain. Also Haechan looked so so good. Also the neon stripper rave scene plus Taeil bringing it home at the end my absolute favorite part such a good sound. Also Jungwoo being apart of the neon stripper rave scene was a Choice. You'd expect Jaehyun but they were like Jungwoo this is the big game get in there after being on the bench all season. But he looked so good just through out the whole video and Mr Suh and Mr Nakamoto honestly speechless, just wow. And Taeyong was Taeyonging and I love when he Taeyongs. That chorus though, it doesnt even fit the song. Sticker was at least cohesive with one little break. It does sound like an imitation of 127. Everything is perfect that chorus was a decision that was made. Also.
If you left me alone in here I'll will be just fine.

And, with everything in pocket, they finally arrived at the store -- where I promptly had them stand outside in the rain for a while while I dumped a bunch of their money into the place and spent a good chunk of time doing a bit of remodeling! Namely -- remember how, in a previous update, I complained about not having enough processing space, but didn't want to make the store significantly bigger? And then remembered in the tags that basements exist?
Welcome to the new Van Liddelton Groceries employee break room and basement processing center! XD Yes, I decided that the best way to get more space for everything I wanted was to go down and expand THERE. So the previous processing room was turned into a chill out area for the trio and any future employees they may have (complete with fridge and microwave for meals, some seating, a bookcase for those who like to read, and a TV for those who like to watch -- it still feels a little unfinished and empty to me, but I'll figure it out as we go along), and all the processing stuff was moved into the basement area! Now they have a nice long kitchen with plenty of counter space and TWO fridges and stoves to play with; two bulk processing machines; the juice fizzer and the cupcake machine; a cauldron for Victor should he want to to make potions while on the lot (once he actually learns a few more recipes); and -- well. I know it looks like a science bench. . .
But it's actually an APOTHECARY bench. Because that's one of the mods I downloaded from @simsonianlibrary -- The Apothecary Kit! This mod allows a Sim to make gummies based on herbalism recipes, and tablets based on Scientist serums -- you need roughly twice the amount of ingredients, but you get six gummies per bag and six tablets per bottle, so, kind of a deal? I spotted this while perusing their Patreon for a different mod (which I will get to in just a moment), and was like "okay, that'll be PERFECT for Smiler -- I was originally gonna make them a Scientist anyway to learn those serum recipes!" So now the store can have a pharmacy section too! :D
However, first things first -- we still had room on those front shelves for flower arrangements! So Smiler started making one final one of those while I sent Victor and Alice downstairs to do a little more processing and clean up any spoiled food hanging about. Alice made a few boxes of tomato sauce, then started working on milk products while Victor filled up the juice fizzer with some lemons --
And then started making some deodorizing perfume! For THAT is the mod that I originally went to Simsonian's Patreon to download -- Perfumery! Because it's another good use of all the flowers the gang grows. This mod adds a ten-level "perfumery" skill that allows you to eventually create a variety of perfumes with different effects -- mostly triggering different emotional buffs. And since they're scents, they effect not only the Sim wearing them, but any Sims who smell them (to a lesser degree. . .and, naturally, this doesn't work with the deodorant. Unfortunately. :p). I thought it might be fun to have my Sims get into, so Victor brewed up a batch of deodorant from a bunch of snowdrops and brought it upstairs...
Where I ran into a rather weird problem. Namely, the perfume just will NOT go onto the SrslySims consignment shelves I'm using in my store. Or, rather, it won't go DIRECTLY on them -- but it WILL stack onto items that are already ON the shelves (like a box of sauce, or a bag of flour). Which is -- puzzling, to say the least. It WILL go onto other custom content shelves, so I'm not sure what's going on with Srsly's. I think mayhaps I may have to make a custom display for any future perfumes! O.o
For the moment, though, the perfume went on the front counter (along with one of the spare decorative eggs from Easter -- look, all the ones in the store are duplicates, I may as well sell them), and while Smiler finished up their flower arrangement, I started Victor on another important task -- namely, seeing what in the store could be hit with Copypasto! I already know the bulk food items can't be copied, but what about animal treats? Herbalism potions? Smiler's baby robot toys? Science must know!

I need to know more about Ori and Lilith's connection because this sounds like it's gonna be grand. I don't know if you've ever played Bloodborne but the Great Ones from that are amazing. So is the Good Hunter. Honestly along with Fullmetal Alchemist's homunculi the Plain Doll also inspires my idea of an automata/homunculi MC. Though for FMA my favorite one is Envy the Jealous.
I imagine Eldritch and Non-human MCs could probably figure out a way around the seals on Belphie's door. Just most of them would probably either be require something in trade, or some kind of 'favor' later on. Fae are the worst ones to owe something too due to how petty they are.
With an automata that's probably very familiar with spell arrays and alchemy (and also probably something that's considered a crime against humanity to begin with.) could figure out a way to bypass it. Eldritch too could do it. Either one would be funny to see Belphie's expression. I could see an eldritch mc that looks human-y on the outside but they are basically wearing a flesh suit - it's nothing but void/shade/darkness inside.
The automata mc would fascinate them, at least until they find out just how they were animated. I imagine the angels would have a problem with humans 'creating' life and that there's a soul (artificial or fragmented/philo stone) powering them. The demons would have an issue with who's soul was used. Well maybe just the brothers for that last one. Barbatos and Diavolo might actually be rather curious about how the automata is even functioning.
Though for weird crossovers Bloodborne x Obey Me would be hilarious. If it takes place after the new Great One ending - well that new student is actually a (young) eldritch abomination in a human suite. Otherwise they have high insight that allows them to see things they really shouldn't ever see (that may or may not result in madness. results vary.). Probably seeing the more inhumane/demonic traits of the demons/angels and devildom around them that normal humans wouldn't be able to see.
But yea automata and eldritch mc superiority. Eldritch MC messing around in the devildom because they are petty as hell and the Demon King did something to make them mad or owes them something from aeons ago and they haven't forgotten. The automata being manipulated by Lilith's ghost to help.
I haven't played Bloodborne but this makes me want to O.O
I held onto this ask for a bit bc School and I really wanted to do it justice, but luckily it's my break now so I have a bit of time!
So the short answer to explain Lilith and Ori's connection is that Ori is Severely Haunted by Lilith for Reasons, Plus they're [REDACTED]

The long answer is... complicated, and technically contains spoilers, so I'll just say this. Here's what Ori thinks:
(To clarify, Ori's "other mom" goes by she/they pronouns)
They're a human. They have 2 moms, one who's alive and perfectly normal, and one who either died when they were very young or left their family for Reasons (they were never told specifics, though they suspect it was Bad and don't pry for their mother's sake). They don't remember this person, but they know their mom cared about her a lot.
Their "other mom" was a bit of an eccentric, and very interested in superstition and mythology. Their only relic of her is an unusually sturdy glass pendant: a nazar, used by various Middle Eastern cultures to ward off the evil eye. They keep it on their person at nearly all times.
(Their mom - the living one - gave it to them when they were about 10-13. Coincidentally, they struggle to remember anything from before this time beyond some very vague snippets.)
They're told they were a very inquisitive child, always pressing for more information about things. Sometimes, they asked about things they shouldn't, couldn't have known to ask about. They also had a very active imagination, and an imaginary friend named Lily. But imaginary friends can't move physical objects, or warn them about coming dangers.
Despite all of their mother's urging to the contrary, Ori maintained a lifelong interest in the supernatural, and had a knack for sniffing out the unexplainable. Unfortunately, it also had a habit of sniffing them out. This eventually led them to the (very cleverly named /s) Anomalous Research Centre, aka ARC or the ARC Research Centre if you're feeling arbitrary.
They were a shoe-in, in no small part thanks to their ability to find paranormal manifestations and survive them. Those around them on the other hand...
She can't protect them all. She tries her best, but it isn't enough. That damn pendant, if she could just-
It often happens that regular technology malfunctions or shuts down in the presence of the supernatural. When this occurs, Ori will, reluctantly, hand their pendant over to a coworker, who knows to hand it back as soon as their task is finished.
Ori is a human. They have 2 human parents, one who is no longer with them. Their "other mom" was a little odd, and left them a pendant. With that pendant removed, Ori can do things no human should be able to do, see things no human should be able to see.
But the longer they leave it off, the more they feel something gnawing at them. The call of something, older and stronger than any silly childhood creation. A call they see others forsake their humanity to answer.
A call they've answered before.
A call they mustn't answer again.
A call that sings in one voice, in a dozen, in a thousand more: We are hungry. We are at the door. Let us in.

Gaming ask meme: 1, 5, 10
1. Name a game that is really important to you
I would say Fallout New Vegas but that's not true. I would say Gears of War but that's also not true.
This one is a really good but difficult question for me because if I were to take account of every game I've played on PC and mostly the PS2, with also some emulated games that I want to get back...somehow...(I know how...the question honestly is WHEN... *side eyes brain* >.>)....there's...there's games I've played that were very very important to me that shaped what and who I am today.
But to save the trouble cos I got 2 more questions to answer after this:
It's a tie between the Deus Ex franchise and Destiny 2
I'll go more into Destiny 2 for now because that's where I met a lot of good people that I still keep in touch with.
It's a game that I have the most listed accomplishments ever that I can go back to and yeah show off but mainly to recognize that I was able to accomplish SOMETHING in my 30's. My 30's were (and in some ways still are) very very rough, but it's hopefully a decade that I can remember more positively than my 20's and teens.
I've got 2 Triumph Pins and won the 2020 Guardian Games as a hunter. I've completed several raid runs with friends, AND I did 2 Day One raid openings (though sadly I never beat them in Contest Mode).
As much as I complain about the game mode Gambit, it's something I got good at in and with Spite. I won't ever say I'm a top player in Gambit. Far from it actually if I were to look up my stats on Destiny Tracker, but I've gotten good to say that I've put the work in and the experiences made me Good enough to be a reliable teammate.
And I've gotten skilled with a weapon class that honestly more games NEED to get into because there's SO MUCH FUCKING POTENTIAL--
*deep breath*...I am enamored by Bungie's bow mechanics and designs so yes...I'll just leave it at that.
Anywho, maybe one day I'll rb this (if I remember >.>) and go into why I loved the Deus Ex franchise just as much.
5. Name a game that that everyone else didn’t care for that you enjoyed

Dirt 2 and 3
I LOVE rally racing a lot and honestly those two games really showed how much I loved it.
At first it was more like a connection to a childhood time where there was this isometric rally racing arcade game that I couldn't beat for the life of me and spent way too much money on at the time. But really it's because Dirt 2 and 3 were the first time I got to play a racing game that made me understand racing as a whole a lot better than the Need For Speed franchise ever could.
Plus the intensity of each game's era was awesome as hell and it's sad that...well...hmm...I could try to find these two games elsewhere for sure, but again it's sad that the copies I have aren't playable anymore (even offline) =(
So...maybe one day I'll find another copy of each game that works with the PC I have currently :3 >:3c
10. Name a favorite obscure video game
asdffkjlgh omfg so there was this arcade game that was MASSIVE in actual size because it seated 6 players and was a rail space shooter that you literally had to ENTER INTO because it was like...a total simulator of sorts and I fucking forgot the name of it but I beat it on MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator), and it was a game that I was OBSESSED with in my teens...maybe younger than that actually o.o
This arcade game was so cool because it really brought out the cooperative spirit in people. Some groups I played with were silent but would use the games visual cues to signal to the other players. Some groups were very vocal (not swearing really. since I was a kid any adult that played it kept swearing to a bare minimum) and would tell the other players where to shoot and what to fight off. It was so cool because at the time, NO ONE was able to reach the final boss and beat the name. Not even the badass solo players that got really far into the game.
I honestly miss that arcade game so much and tbh if the world (yes world not just the US) EVER brings back arcade emporiums full swing, I want to see game devs do a full from-the-ground-up remake of that arcade game and even put their heart into it so much to make a very awesome and compelling story!
Pipe dream yes but eh...a sweet butch gaymer trans gal can dream right? ^.^

It's funny cause Reedpaw is right? Dead cats shouldn't be dragging the living into their problems but they are and even as a new apprentice Reedpaw knows this is Bullshit. Kid has their number.
Reedpaw: "So why didn't Starclan just tell everyone that Twolegs were going to destroy the entire forest and that the clans needed to move instead of sending four cats dreams, making them go on a reckless journey, scare their kin, make their clans think they became rogues, then if the clans didn't believe Starclan, when the first Twoleg monster left the Thunderpath and started eating the forest we'd have known Starclan was right and have left and we wouldn't have been starving or missing a bunch of clanmates either!"

firestar doesn't know what oakheart looks like but like. most cats in thunderclan do and when reedpaw arrives in thunderclan they're like "oh my god thank god it's not just us"
he takes a lot after mistyfoot, naturally, and he's also like.
there's no one in riverclan his age. closest are his cousins (i'm going with that as a term of reference because it accurately describes how they interact, but the cats would just say they're maach (generic) and be done with it), but they're still nearly six moons older than him.
i still don't know when the tnp crew is born because i took like a year out of the timeline for this, but let's say he's about the same age as squirrelpaw and leafpaw and he's like "yes more cats my age. finally."
hawk, moth, and frog finally get some space <3
but. i think it's -- thunderclan and riverclan had fought over sunningrocks enough that like. they look at reedpaw, who's mostly fully grown, and he looks like -- oakheart. it's nostalgic for all of them.
they're leaving sunningrocks behind. there won't be another battle for it. this is it. shrewpaw and reedpaw play fight, tumbling across it, and it's just -- they don't know, not really. but mistyfoot, mousefur, goldenflower, leopardstar, etc., they're all looking at them with a very bittersweet happiness.

This is one of my favourite like old WWII style songs, I just think it’s beautiful and really great to dance slow to (at some point in my life I will dance with my husband or wife to this song in our little kitchen, and then my life will finally be complete). It’s in Doctor Who (in The Empty Child) and Jack and Rose dance to it in front of Big Ben, like it’s a really great scene in one of the best episodes of Dr Who ever. So good and a great WWII song.

Yes, I know this is about Katya’s issues and everything that happened with that but like it is also like very accurate to the Captain’s arc. Like “soldier, take your time” is like yeah?? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t believe the Captain is even remotely aware of the fact he’s gay cause like I don’t reckon he understands love or the fact that he’s got feelings like that, I don’t think he knows so yeah take your time to figure it out yeah, Captain.
We’ll Meet Again - Vera Lynn
This song seems to have taken a new meaning in pandemic times but Havers leaving Button House and (I assume) never returning but like the Captain staying at Button House completely in the dark as to what happened to Havers and therefore living with the possibility of Havers returning.
HEAVEN - Troye Sivan & Betty Who
Obviousssss, but this song was such an integral part in me figuring shit out about my life. Like, I was 14 and a massive Troye fan when it came out and (growing up in a working class, strict religious, small town family) the music video was literally my first understanding of the fight for queer rights. I knew about LGBTQ+ identities and identified as a variety of queer labels at the time I was completely unaware of the entire struggle that had come before me and seeing photos and footage of this fight for the first time was O.o Anyway, I'll stop talking about myself and say that I’m incredibly happy with the hc of the Captain trying to learn a bit more about queer history in his journey to accept himself.

This might actually kill his gay little soul but by good it would be worth it!! I’m gonna go off on a bit of a philosophy tangent but what were ya expecting from me honestly: the sample used in Achilles Come Down is an extract from a 1942 essay by Albert Camus who, alongside Kierkegaard and Nietzsche and the like, wrote about the concept of ‘the absurd’ which is a tricky concept but a reallyyyyyy simplified version of it is basically the idea that humans constantly search for a meaning and purpose for life and the universe but the universe does not provide answers to that which causes human distress. Basically, what I mean to say like isn’t that concept just so Captain?? Like he searches for meaning in war and can’t see life beyond the war because that provides him purpose, you know?? But yeah, it’s a banging song and I’m sorry about the tangent.

LGBTQ+ staple really, ik it’s about being trans but I wanted to include it because of the recent Ben Willbond interview when he talks about how he’s interested in the contrast of a confused authoritative figure. Like the Captain is such a contrast and I love that in characters.

Like I’ve said repeatedly, I wanted at least a little bit of time specific music for each of them I could. So yeah there’s a few for the Captain, WWII music is such a vibe tbh.

I’ve always interpreted the song as being about loneliness and well, Captain my boy that you. Like he’s literally surrounded by people 24/7 but is so very alone. When the others are all watching tv in Redding Weddy and the Captain is just sat in the window watching for Havers is just so pretty and I think it’s really telling of the relationship he has with the others.

Pretty pretty song, the voice is *mwah* but that’s irrelevant.

Just a beautiful song, and yeah with the Captian being the way he is and so focused on the war and military and the idea of "death with dignity" is pretty prolific. Given that we're fairly sure the Captain never saw any action, would he be considered to have died with dignity?? Maybe, maybe not idk.

That one scene where Alison is trying to sleep and the Captain is just sat beside her bed singing this. Like that’s so funny XD It’s his little head bob as he sings like that’s so good.

I remember my nan had an Askey record and she used to play it all the time and this always made me laugh cause 5 year old me couldn’t get the image of a really strong and tough soldier being all motherly and yeah I just wanted to include it :D

The Captain’s name is Teddy, I take no debate on this. Just the idea of the Captain’s backstory, like a childhood backstory for the Captain genuinely makes me cry. I know a lot of people have shared their stories of their interpretation of the Captain’s childhood and they’re all sad and I love them all :’) (Specifically a big fan of Operation Keep Calm on AO3 and what they’ve done with the Captain’s character and story, 10/10 would recommend but it’s not finished and I really hope it is at some point ily).

🍓 For Fane?? :D
*waltz into the room* Why, hello, friend! You've come asking after the dragon, have you? He's here. He's always here, even when I'm not writing. X'D
So! Fane facts! >:D
Lately, I've been delving into 'hows' with Fane. Like, 'how does he handle specific situations', 'how does he cope', 'how does he function when he feels that he can't function'. I've also been playing with his relationships with other members because...I've ignored that large chunk of development in favor of fleshing out he and Solas' dynamic. (And that took me forever. Let me tell you.)
As such, a few 'oddities' with Fane. Namely, some mental afflictions.
--I may have mentioned this in writing and in little short stories, but Fane has a tendency to 'dig' into his arms when he crosses them. If he's getting annoyed, uncomfortable, or, and this is something he tries very hard to conceal, scared then he starts to squeeze at his arms; hug himself, basically.
--Fane has agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is simplistically categorized as being fearful or anxious of unfamiliar situations or places. Basically, you experience panic attacks, anxiety attacks, and feelings of paranoia when in areas that you feel unsafe (unknown venues, situations in which you're unsure of how to act, etc.) Most cases show many people choosing to 'hide away' or stay at home to avoid such distressing occurrences. Your mind already knows how you'll react and so you take steps to avoid it altogether. I'm hoping to show it in my writing, but you'll see that Fane has to be literally dragged to go to certain places and when does go to those places he...shuts down.
--Fane is also claustrophobic. This is from two things, but I'll only share one because the other is a major spoiler for his overall identity. The reason I'll share is because of his father's experiments. He was bound many times, in many places, but in an attempt to make it stop, Fane hid. In closets, in chests, in barrels, in hollowed out trees. As such, he associates tight spaces with those events and he's terrified of them. *laughs nervously* Descent material~
Onto some miscellaneous tidbits! :D
--Spirits tend to flock towards Fane if he's in the Fade. Primarily, ones of Love/Devotion or Tenacity.
--Fane used to detest any type of tea, but once Vivienne introduced him to chamomile tea (she was helping him find alternatives to sleep powders and magic to help him sleep), he can't go a night without at least a single cup.
--Fane is easily mistaken for a human if he wears a cowl and cloak. As long as his eyes and hair and ears aren't on display, he moves through without much trouble.
--Red Lyrium, as we know, sings and does all sorts of funky shit. However, Fane doesn't hear 'singing', he hears chanting--beats, thumps. There's voices, and those voices are what causes him to destroy a node without thinking. In a way, he can sense the Taint, like a Warden can in darkspawn and in other Wardens. It pushes him towards an edge he never wishes to fall from. So, like the dragons are said to do in Inquisition, he avoids red lyrium as much as he can.
--To follow from the above, Fane has extreme resistance to the Blight. So, later on down the line, when he's more or less taking on darkspawn without a shred of fear, letting the blood mix with his own wounds or finding it in his mouth, many of the Inner Circle is like, 'o.o'. While Solas is like, '-_-'.
--His favorite color is blue, but he never wears the shade. And despite how he associates depression, despair, and insanity with red and black, he wears those shades the most. (There's a reason~)
--Actually is fond of halla, despite the associations they have with Ghilan'nain and their connection to the Dalish.
--Fane, despite his difficulty at being vulnerable, has a fairly easy time saying, 'I love you'. Though, this is in regards to Solas. With Mhairi...it's a bit harder. For a lot of reasons.
--Is/was acquainted with Wisdom. All New, Faded For Her just got a whole lot crazier, and that's where both of Fane and Solas' darker sides get put on display. When I get to it, it'll give an idea of the types of extents Fane and Solas are both willing to go.
And I think that's it! I have more, but I would be writing an essay if I continued! X'D Suffice it to say, I've been working on Fane a lot because while I don't want people to solely see 'victim', I also don't want them to see solely the harshness. Mental struggles are just that; struggles. We do things we know we really shouldn't do because we see no other alternatives to cope, or we weren't given the tools to properly cope. Fane makes things difficult at times, and he knows that, but the mind is cruel and it does what it wants while saying, 'Your fault.'. I guess what I'm getting at is that...I want to make Fane 'realistic' in how he acts in response to his trauma and the reality is, it doesn't get fixed overnight.
Okay! I'll stop yapping! I get on my mental health rants and I can't stop! But, thank you so much for dropping by and allowing me to ramble! <3

[redacted] is not a demon lovin' fic! it's an entirely new fic i've been writing since... july...? i think? or august? it's an entirely new AU! i can't give away information about it because it's a part of a Super Secret Collab, so i'm sorry but i have to leave y'all in the dark for a little longer
however,
i am also writing a DL fic for christmas!!! it'll be shorter than usual, at most around 30k?? because december is finals month for me for this semester, and i'll also have family members over and it's impossible to write anything with them around. i hope it's still enjoyable nonetheless! here's a sampling of the "themes" and "topics", for those who missed it.
and also, i still have [redacted] to work on during december. i'm not kidding when i say i'm behind, i just had a stressnap about it because i'm scared!!! i projected [redacted] to be around 80k, 120k at most... but it's looking like i'm absolutely wrong. it looks like it's going to be 120k minimum. this is a pretty big fic for me. i'm so worried that people won't like it, but it's too late now. i'm already 60k+ in it, so.
and to think, up until this very year, i literally couldn't write anything more than 3k?

& now I will show you some tips and secrets you can use it in the collection events
I know that some players know alot about those tips but also there are player are not, & I will be happy to help them.
I will talk about advice for free & new player
& there is will be another advice for rich player or who planning to use alot of money on specific collection event..
Let's start
Free players tips:
Save your every single ticket
Don't use them for anything else expect this event, I will tell u why next :)
Every time you do love challenge you will get 3 + 5 hearts
in the first five chapter of every route you choose there will be love challenge, so every day you change the route during the event you will get 8 hearts daily, and that will increase more during love story challenge
So in the big collection event ( 3X lucky story time) you will get 24 hearts, after that change the route and use 5 tickets u saved before so u can repeat the love challenge again and take other 24 hearts,
Buy hearts with gold
It's will cost u about 2000 gold for 1 heart, you can buy just 10 hearts daily
So make sure to buy it every day
Note: you can collect gold from greeting friends and from castle gacha
You can use 10 free tickets in aday for lucky story time
Remember that cybird release 5 free tickets at 11 am pst, so in the LST ( lucky story time) use your free tickets before 11 am and after 11 am pst they will give you another 5 free tickets, use them before the LST end
and that how u get more hearts
Don't forget to Set ur alarm according to ur time zone
U can do Princess lesson every 5 hours so make sure ur princess lesson is full before lucky lesson start and set ur alarm after 5 hour so u can do it again before lucky lesson ended.
Rich player tips:
Buy all the value sets, experts the one with 500 coins,
Purchase the rest ( u can use every one for 3 times , expert 100 coins just for one time)
If you wamt to be in ranking, u have to focus on two things - chapter tickets - coins hearts -

for u as ranking player, it's will take time to finish 5 ch, between 1.30 - 2 minutes every ch.

Every time u change the route make sure not to choose the routes that have sasuke explain to u how to play the game,, that will take time from u, and remember every second is important

U have to put attention on ur internet speed, for me I used my phone data instead of wifi during the LST time, so I can move fast and don't have problems with loading every time I press a button.
If there is a collection event that give attire for ranking 1# and u would die to take it, just listen carefully..
Don't let the competitors know how many hearts you have
Just buy hearts and hide it's in your present box, don't use alot of hearts on ur warlord to make player 1# feel save about his amount of hearts
And then before 10 minutes from the event end
PAAAM surprise them all and use every heart u save, the other player will not have the time to reach ur number bc it's the last 10 minutes

Just be careful and don't do my mistake, I remember one day I bought every heart I could, to save it to the last 10 minutes
I set my alarm to that, so before 10 minutes from the event end I have checked my phone and there was no internet, it was an error
I was like O.o, sadly the company tooks half an hour to fix the,problem, it's was too late for the event and I lost my hearts QAQ
From that day I learned to use my saving hearts first every time I set my alarm for LST, then I start to use my tickets, so if every think happened during LST I'll have the time to do something about it.
Just be careful as well, it might happen to u as will, and facing other problem before the event end.
Also u can collect hearts from love challenge and don't use them on ur warlord right away

If u plan to use more than 5k hearts and u want to save it to the last make sure to use it before the last 10 minutes bc it's will take time to use them all and I'm afraid that 10 minutes would be not enough for u specially if ur internet is slow sometimes..
Why it's always 10 minutes??
bc the game make updates to the ranking member every 10 minutes,, and ur rival can see the mount u spend, so she can be a stip ahead of u,,

choose the the biggest lucky story time and spend every thing on it..
& pray that no one will take ur place at ranking XD..

last year when I was playing the event and suddenly the game pause in the time I was in the event page,, every time I press something the game was giving me hearts,, I was like what the heck XD, I deleted the game and download it again but still doesn't work, the most bad thing that I couldn't play the routes it's just pause, I wrote to cybird about that error, happily the game fixed after the update but the route that I was in restart itself XD
So if anything happened in the game during the events or not,, remember it's not ur fault it's cybird fault OwO, and it's will be fixed the next updated,
That was all my advices for u I hope it's be helpful for u

I forgot that it starts out with Tine narrating for a bit.
Tine telling his friends about Green and how Green said he'll make Tine change his mind about liking guys
And his friends' immediate responses being Team Green! Is actually super realistic friend group dynamic teasing and I love it.
Tine RUNNING AWAY from Green KILLS me every time!!
And he runs directly to his friends, "Guess who I saw this morning!" 😂 I love their friend group.
Green handing toilet paper to Tine in the bathroom....... Yeah........
Did Green pursue P'Dim like this too? And it worked?? Or did P'Dim pursue Green?? Gosh, now I want like a prequel story for them.
Tine's friends saying he needs to start playing hard ball and then joking about football and baseball 😂👍

Green's skinny jeans are so tight, but like 👌 nice
Green does not strike me as a fickle person. Did he really like Tine? I think he did, but like, what about P'Dim? Part of me feels like he just used Tine to make P'Dim jealous, which is awful and in no way helps Tine's low self esteem.
What's annoying is that Tine does straight up, honestly, and kindly tell Green he's not interested. Green just reads into everything and twists the truth. And won't listen to Tine.
He takes advantage of Tine's kindness and inability to tell him a harsh no, stop. Tine doesn't absolutely, concretely refuse Green and somehow that leaves just enough wiggle room for Green to squeeze in and manipulate the situation.
😂 I forgot about Tine's run when he escapes Green to get drinks 😂😂😂👌 it's the best thing ever. I love him so much. It's such a great little run!!
I think it's interesting that Tine acts happy/drunk from that drug and not just sleepy/dead tired.
Tine's favorite song is Together. Hmm. How fitting.
Poor Tine. Green immediately forgets to hold him up and drops him!
Okay. I can kind of understand the logic of "a fake girlfriend didn't work. Maybe a fake boyfriend will." Because Green is convinced he can change Tine, but what if Tine does admit to liking guys but it's not for Green? Then Green would be forced to acknowledge that Tine isn't rejecting him because he's a guy but because he's genuinely not interested in Green.
I think it's funny that they just had to shoot for the best of the best guy though 😂 why not just someone decently attractive? It worked out brilliantly for them though. The lucky b*stards.
Their little bulletin with a drawn portrait with no likeness at all to Sarawat with a question mark over the face 😂😂😂 and the sticky notes. Very professional detective work y'all are doing over there.
You know what's really weird. When I started watching 2gether, I had no idea who Toptap was but I knew Tine had a brother so I kept wondering who was the brother in the show during ep 1. Now I know who Toptap is and recognize him and I know that Type isn't even introduced as a character until several episodes later. But that was weird to realize because it means that since episode 1 was released I've watched multiple shows with Toptap in them. (Water Boyy, 3 will be free, rewatched love sick)
Sarawat is awesome. He's such a killer. 😂 And his friends are so great!! Gunsmile and Mike. *Chef's kiss*
The cast for this show is perfection. I love all of them. They're all amazing and hilarious and adorable AND amazing actors.

What's super interesting to me about their first interaction is that Sarawat has been aware of and probably been watching Tine for a year. Which means he at least has some basic knowledge about Tine. Like he's kind, relaxed, cool (chill), etc. I wonder what he thought about Tine calling him an asshole. Not a great first impression, buuuuut~ it wasn't a first impression. Sarawat already knows that Tine is a good guy.
Is Sarawat just so introverted and socially stunted that he just has no idea how to interact with his crush so he's acting overly cool/cold to him?? I don't understand why he acts like that to his crush?
I just don't get it.
And then we get this wide shot and I love watching Sarawat's friends' reactions because I love their perspective on everything. But their faces after Sarawat says that and walks away are so funny! And Gunsmile's little wave 😂👌 (not the greatest snapshots sorry)
Guys I just finished part 2. This is bad. This post is so long already.
I feel like Sarawat got lucky because of how stubborn Tine is. Tine's friends are like, "let's find a different target." And Tine goes, "Nah, he's difficult so I have to have him now."
Tine said "email" so now I'm thinking about him speaking English and that Win lived in the US for a year and he's only a year younger than me and how crazy would it have been if I had met him? I went to a school that had a lot of foreign students. So weird. I mean the US is huge so of course the chances are crazy small, but it's fun to think about.

Fun story (cuz this post isn't long enough already): before I started watching 2gether, I read a post about Tine's dream and that Sarawat turned into Green, but I didn't know Green was a name (and there were no capital letters to indicate that) so I thought that Sarawat must've turned into like a green monster or something in Tine's dream but nope! That's not what that meant!
After that email, I wonder what Sarawat thinks of his crush now. Lol.

That when Tine crashes into the bush, he's somehow magically back at the statue and that little roundabout.
Aw. Okay. I'll give Green one (1) point. It's sweet that he got Tine and was sitting next to him with a smelling thing for Tine to wake up.

This is the shared student number party. I'm a little confused why there are so many people there? Is it multiple student number groups meeting up?
Tine goes from 0 to 100 energy wise real quick! "I'm a chic guy. I like to act cute!" He is so cute. You all know the rest of that speech.
Oh I'm dumb! Sarawat and Tine are both new incoming freshman! Sarawat probably recognized Tine from the concert, but he probably hasn't even seen Tine since then! For some reason I was thinking they've probably had the chance to see each other around University. I'm dumb. So everything Tine is doing, Sarawat has no context for, nothing to compare it to or anything.
Tine.... Breaking the phone..... The cringe.... The secondhand embarrassment.... I'm struggling. It hurts. Oh the pain....

alright i'll bite what's going on in arizona O.o
Brenna, forgive me. I realized a few hours ago that I promised I’d answer this ask on Friday morning, and then ended up using literally all of Friday to write my new Captain Dex CCU fic and then it just hit me that that meant I had postponed the answering of this ask.
For context, for those who do not know: Brenna is asking about a very ominous hint I dropped in this post, where I mentioned for unspecified reasons that Quinn spends the summer between junior and senior year in Arizona. An anon asked me this exact same question, and I responded to it here; I didn’t reveal much information because I was planning this post already.
So: now we’ve arrived. And let’s talk about it. (We’ll hop under the cut, because this explanation will get long!)

Okay, so in the vague response to the anon who asked this same thing, I said the fun version of the answer to “why is Quinn in Arizona?” is that he’s staying with Nando, which is true. But the not-fun version, which is equally true, is that he has nowhere else to go.
Quinn lives with his grandparents, for reasons we discussed in this original Quinn facts post. Opa & Oma are the two people in the world to whom Quinn is not out, and the reasons for this are aplenty, starting with religion. They’re just very Christian, and old-school Dutch (thanks Brenna!!!!!), in a way that Quinn knows wouldn’t jive with acceptance of his sexuality.
Since his grandparents are generally uninterested in being involved in his life, it’s relatively easy to keep this information under lock and key growing up. When he’s out at rehearsals, they don’t really ask where he is. They don’t care, as long as he’s out of their hair. They’re fulfilling their obligation to house and feed him, and he doesn’t bother them. It’s not a good or healthy family dynamic.
But all the same, Quinn does live there with them. And things are mostly fine in college....... up to a point.
When they break down, it happens like this. There’s a picture that circulates of Quinn and Nando, taken on the ice after a championship win, where they are clearly and obviously a couple. Nando pays this no mind, because he’s comfortable being out, and he and Quinn are on the same page about that. Because like I said, Quinn is out to everyone! He’s beyond comfortable in his own skin. His grandparents are barely on his mind.
Quinn, a little naively, thinks of course there’s no way this picture will circulate back to Opa & Oma in Michigan. They live under a rock, and they don’t even follow hockey, much less college hockey.
And then.... it does.
Quinn gets a call from his opa, and within ten very heated minutes, he’s told not to bother coming home to them for Christmas. Or for summer break. He is effectively thrown out of the only ‘home’ (if you could call it that) that he has left.
I don’t want to give the play-by-play of how he tells Nando what happened and what goes down after that, because honestly, it’s some good hurt/comfort fuel, and I want to write it out in a fic. The basic idea is: he tells Nando what happened, and he’s distraught in a way Nando has never quite seen him before. It’s very, very hard.
A few days later, Nando is telling Mama Hernandez what happened on the phone, and she says, well, he’ll come stay with us, then.
Nando is like, mama, are you sure?? And of course she is sure, because Maria Hernandez could never in good conscience turn away a boy her son loves so much (who clearly loves him back just the same) who doesn’t have a place to go home to.
So Quinn goes with him for Christmas, and then they make plans for him to stay there in the summer.
Now.... there’s a lot of fuel for good stuff here, and I might withhold some of it in case someone wants to know about the actual summer. But I do want to just also address: what does this have to do with The Wizard of Oz? (This was the whole reason it came up— the post where I mentioned Quinn stays in Arizona was a list of all the productions he is in or works on in high school and college, and Oz came up as a children’s production he’s head of costumes for, this exact summer in Arizona.)
So the reason is: Quinn needs a summer job. Nando works at his tio’s restaurant, and Quinn asks if he can give any help to the community theatre. They do a children’s musical every summer, grades 1-8, and Quinn is welcomed onto the production team.
Nando’s twin little sisters participate, partly because they need something to do and partly because they already kind of had an interest in the arts. They’re about 10, and one of them acts in the show and another is Quinn’s little personal costume assistant. (Don’t think about Quinn chaperoning the two little girls to and from rehearsals. They think he’s the coolest ever and routinely tell their big brother that you better marry him, Sebastián, ‘cause we like him!!!!!!!!)
Et cetera. We can talk more about that, but I just thought you all should know.
One more thing before I wrap it up for this particular post: please consider Quinn being recognized by other people on the production staff. Because of his tour the previous summer, which was actual, nationally recognized professional theatre. Like, I had this scenario in mind where the assistant stage manager, who is a high school student and gigantic Broadway geek, meets him and it’s like:
ASM, who I’m naming Emi because it’s the first name I thought of: Hi! Are you the wardrobe head? I’m Emi. I’m assistant stage manager.
Quinn: (Actually turning around and facing her, so she gets a good look at his face.) Yes! I’m Quinn. It’s so nice to meet you.
Emi: (Immediately starstruck.) Oh my God. Quinn Cooper?
Quinn: (At first, a little confused.) Um— yes! That’s my full name.
Emi: Holy shit. (Trying to keep her cool and failing.) You— I didn’t see the show, but I watched so many Instagram video clips of the Deaf West tour last summer. You were amazing.
Quinn: (His ego inflates, like, five sizes, instantaneously.) Oh, my goodness! Thank you so much!
Emi: And I’m working with you this summer? I... (She kind of runs her hands through her hair to get her compure.) I’m so sorry. I don’t usually meet famous actors.
Quinn: (FAMOUS ACTORS!) I wouldn’t call myself—
Emi: Would... it be weird if I asked for your autograph?
Quinn: (Losing his shit.) My gosh, not at all.
And this post doesn’t even touch on stuff with Nando.
It’s a good summer, coming out of a pretty shitty situation.
