Ted Lasso, the character, is one of the only representations of 'sometimes getting better with your mental health issues means that you are less visibly happy, and that is okay, because you are not required to be happy in order to be loved' out there and I am really discouraged that so much of the audience is angry at that.

The interpretation of Rise Raph as a 'perfect responsible soft boy uwu' is so BORING I'm sorry, Raph is a rowdy adrenaline junkie with anxiety and I won't take this slander any longer

Raph secretly kept an enemy soldier in their actual literal house as a sparring partner. Raph glued his brothers together and dragged them out to fight crime. Raph once asked Leo to punch him in the face to prove he 'takes damage like a boss.' Raph tried to lift a school bus, twice. Raph offered to help his favorite wrestler beat his little brother up. When Leo suggests evacuating Bullhop, Raph says no bc the best defense is a good offense babey. Raph's idea of a 'friendly chat' with April's upstairs neighbor is to put on a black ski mask and go stand menacingly at their door. It takes Raph 10 episodes to conclude that they should MAYBE start training. Raph's plan to get a potentially priceless (and potentially FRAGILE) museum artifact is to punch a car in the middle of a busy street and also cut it in half with his brother still inside.

Raph's never met a problem he wouldn't try to punch in the face and does not know the meaning of the words 'excessive force.' He roughhouses with his bros and drags them out to fight villains and thinks any plan that doesn't involve an all-out brawl is boring and lame. He'll do anything to protect his family from harm and be a hero, but also he eats wet salami off the floor and once single-handedly destroyed a library.

I just adore how, at his core, Rise Raph is such a classic Raph—impulsive and stubborn and caring and passionate. He is a very sweet, strong, honorable guy who has a very powerful sense of personal responsibility... and he is also the exact kind of jock who throws you in the pool at a party without checking if you have your phone in your pocket first.

One thing I love about this book is that you're allowed to sit there and question literally everything Stevenson presents us.

We know Jekyll is not a reliable narrator when we finally start to get his side of the story. But how much blind faith can we put in Lanyon's perspective?

Not to say I don't trust Lanyon! His tale is presented like an accurate assessment of what happened the night Jekyll revealed the truth to Lanyon. He transcribes Jekyll's letter, notes his own opinions and actions, and provides detailed observations of his first impressions of Hyde.

But then, once the truth is revealed, once Lanyon finally puts to paper the truth of Jekyll & Hyde so that Utterson may one day know, he cuts his narrative off.

In the last paragraph, he refuses to tell us what was discussed with Jekyll following the transformation. Maybe from trauma, maybe from some protective urge towards his old colleague, or maybe to spare poor, unsuspecting Utterson from any further horrors.

Stevenson purposely leaves this all unsaid, and we move on to Jekyll's attempt to defend himself.

But how much of his story did Lanyon leave out?

And how damning would the full truth be towards Jekyll?

He was very chill with Alastor interrupting him and Vox last time, but do you think he might get jealous of Alastor in the future, as Vox's obsession for him is only deepening now that they're spending more and more time together? He seems possessive and volatile enough for this... (mostly with Angel Dust who he sees as his property, but Vox also expects to be the "ungrateful whore" Val is angry at in ep2)

Hello! I've gotten some fic comments that are a similar question to this over the last couple of 666 fics, so I appreciate the opportunity to answer it on my blog, haha.

I'm going to be totally honest, as much as the radiostatic side of 666 is part of my aroace agenda, the staticmoth side of it is just as much my poly agenda and I don't (currently) have any intention of writing a jealousy plot of any sort from Valentino's side of things! This is for a few reasons:

I'm just not a huge fan of jealousy plots as a whole, and despite being Like That, this fic series is kind of a comfort series for me.

This isn't very clear from the lack of timestamps and whatnot (though this makes me inclined to be clearer about it in future fics), but radiostatic aren't actually spending very large swathes of time together. Alastor's "dealing with Vox" meter is too resource-poor for that, lmfao.

I think Valentino is a possessive fuck but the way that I write him, he wouldn't register what radiostatic are getting up to as worth getting legitimately jealous over, especially because:

Part of Vox's character progression in this series is actually transitioning from obsession to genuine affection, not increased obsession!

The natures of their respective relationships are really different. (As is the nature of Valentino's relationship with Angel Dust.)

Val and Vox already have their own relationship bullshit going on in the background at any given point in time. Someone should financially compensate Velvette for that. Oh, wait, that's probably what Love Potion is for.

i really vibe with the reading that the game system is of tae myung ha's doing, and there's definitely loads to support that, but i find myself more and more interested in anonymousunbae, this grieving friend with the god-hand. it might be the catholic soup i was stewed in, but i think there's even basis to read him as a more literal god, heartbrokenly looking at a beloved creation and watching them crack, and then crafting another chance because to err is human (to forsake what was given) but to forgive is divine (to give it again).

but going back to the grieving friend with the god-hand read, which i'm moreso stuck on. these messages in bottles that show up on tae myung ha's phone, and he never actually tries to answer them, assumes they're a mistake and not for him. can you imagine how frustrating that must be for his sunbae? his sunbae who built debuffs into this game because maybe this time tae myung ha will ask someone for help - but again, he doesn't. he won't even let kyung hoon help him walk after falling down the stairs. and this grieving friend, if we imagine him as another full, emotionally reactive person (with an uncanny power) - what must he feel seeing tae myung ha repeat the same steps on the path that leads below the waterline. sunbae's own loss, his frustration, anger even, hopelessness, the hope that squeezes in through the finest crack in that hopelessness. there's benevolence in him creating his friend's second chance, but i do buy him as the game system. i can see informative pain in the mechanics that force tae myung ha's hand, the cruel ones that seem to hate and punish him. fuck you for leaving without saying goodbye and i hope the place you go to is kind to you can coexist. grief takes all comers. i wouldn't rule out a sunbae-gamedriver (rather than solely game-creator) read.

The idea that Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu speak casual dialects amongst each other is one of my favourite scenarios to imagine. I love you, artists, for this gift. And then if - for lack of social correction - they ironically annoy each other with their teenage years popular phrases but let it slip on accident sometimes now?

I just want someone to ask how Shang Qinghua's travel was as he gets off his sword after a stormy flight, only for him to blurt out that the trip was 'bananas' or something and this instantly sends him and Shen Qingqiu into qi-deviation due to psychic damage.

Hello, thank you so much for your love and interest!!!!! 😘 I'm still figuring out how to put the pieces in place and portray it somewhere somehow, but to put it as shortly as I can: He spent his whole life caged in a dark room in Menzoberranzan and has not experienced many major events prior to BG3.

He was raised and trained as a noble's ideal mindless pet, but then gets kidnapped by the mindflayers and is set free by accident. Having his first ever taste of freedom outside, he starts running around in confusion and making choices all by himself for the first time in his life. He's confused like 99.5% of the time but is attached to all his companions. I'm still new to explaining lores but I hope this answers your question??? ( ´ิ(ꈊ) ´ิ)

1) he’s got really good manners:

*leaves to the entrance to wait patiently for you so he can say goodbye* and i just like how offended he seems at the implication in the last one

these voicelines in particular stick out to convey that he doesn’t really want to be responsible for causing others trouble:

also tbh basically all of his about lines are just him talking about people’s good qualities, which always makes me a little sad when i think about most of the voicelines about him in comparison rip

here’s some faves though tighnari’s especially sticks out in regard to alhaitham being nice i think:

2) he does a lot of things for other people:

“i’m not going to field any questions” proceeds to take us to his house, gather a bunch of books to help us understand, and then field all of our questions🤔 also just the entire concept of him being able to be talked into being acting grand sage at ALL

also not included but little things like taking the time to teach us how to use the knowledge capsules, taking the aaru villager’s feelings into account/getting shani to talk, and just generally taking the time to carefully address the rest of The Squad’s™️ questions/concerns during sumeru’s archon quests

3) and perhaps some people will disagree with this one but i just think he has a very kind view of humanity:

i feel that if someone is so intimately aware of the limits and faults of humanity while also still having an innate curiosity about other people and an affinity for finding people’s positive qualities it’s indicative of an inherently kind/forgiving way of thinking

i can and will defend any of these examples if anyone disagrees😤 i spend every moment of my life ready for a debate😤

but seriously lol idk there’s just SO MUCH that he does and says that can be interpreted as kind if you look for it and connect it, like this isn’t even all the examples i could think of off the top of my head
