Too many people relate the ocean to sunshine and summer and relaxation and… that’s just not it.

I mean no hate if that’s what it means to you, and maybe it’s the fact that I AM an ocean child, my family is from the sea and we came to this country across it, but I can just never relate the ocean to an ice cream and a pool floatie.

To me the ocean is wild. It is danger. It is freedom. It is tasting the edge and knowing that not everyone can come back from it. It is swimming as far out the bay as you can when you’re twelve because you’re just so enchanted by the water and what it promises, only to realise that you’ve drifted far from where your family was. It is promises and secrets and treasure. It is alluring, a siren in the back of my mind, calling to me. It is hooked deep into who I am and I know that I can never come back from that.

The ocean is restless and she cares for no one any more than she has to. She would willingly drag me down ti her depths and never let me go, and that just makes me love her more. The ocean is in my heart.

The ocean, the sea, the waves that crash on the rocks in the storm, that rush up up up over the sand banks and into the town. That isn’t a being that is intrinsically tied to sunlight and fruit and sun tans.

Have you never stood on the cliffs, or the end of the pier, and felt the waves crashing below and the salt spray fly onto your face? Have you never felt the tug of a current, or stayed on the shore even as the tide comes up to your legs, then up to the harbour wall? Have you never stepped into her fierce embrace and wished to never leave?

The ocean is restless, yes, and wild, and dangerous. She will be tamed by nobody.

I just wrote a whole essay about this on a pinterest post, but I’m gonna say it here. The post was about the hunger games and it was like “oh i love the hunger games! Are you team peeta or team gale?” Then in response to that it was “you missed the point”

In the comments I expected to find people, yk, reacting to the video…? But they were all saying they were team peeta or gale. Almost no one was talking about the POINT OF THE VIDEO. And I get it, I like talking about the romance too because it is a big part of the books. But when I talk about the point of the books, I don’t bring up the romance part unless I have a specific reason. I get that THG is about a very sad topic and you can feel uncomfortable talking about it, but you can’t just ignore what it’s about.

imo if you can read three whole books about a serious topic than you can have one conversation about that topic without bringing up romance

Can we PLEASE stop posting about the knew owl house episode without spoiler marks AT LEAST until it's out in every country? I wanted to go into this episode completely blind as to have the full experience of sobbing over the end of this show, and I just learned that Luz apparently [spoiler] and [spoiler] [spoiler], something I should have only found out from the episode itself.

And if you think that just hiding the spoilers under a cut does anything, then you are mistaken. For anyone like me who clicks without thought because button, it's way easier to decide not to when I know that there's something I don't want to see under the cut.

If you don't mind my asking, why are you so down on yourself? You lead a very interesting life, you seem fun and personable, you're very attractive. It's only a matter of time before you find love and success wherever you choose to look.

I'm severely mentally ill with several mental disorders, i have trauma, I've been abused my entire life, I'm still living with my abuser, I'm poor, i live in a shit country....

My real life isn't anywhere fun or interesting. My daily life is usually boring and a lot of suffering each and every day. What do you see isn't what always happens in my life, i mean all the trips and concerts n stuff, that's just little sparks of something that used to help but now it doesn't anymore.. As much as I wish it to help me again it doesn't and it's sad but it is what it is. Concerts and trips can't heal you, no matter how you with they would they don't..

Yeah.... I've heard this before many fucking times just being differently worded like "I've promise you find it/feel better" or "stay strong it will be better soon" or what you just wrote. And I'm tired to hear it because THAT'S NOW HOW MY LIFE WORKS. It gets only worse for me, especially this year. Each and every month it gets a little bit more worse and I'm hitting yet another bottom or whatever it is. And if it gets better then i get a double hit with something bad. 🤷‍♀️

It's only a matter of time when I'll kill myself.. 🤷‍♀️

Oh and it's pretty hard to find love when you're unlovable and when love only hurts you and you can't even feel it but it still hurts you. And when you're gay and other girls just laugh/mock you or just think of you as a sex object. Or when it's always and forever one sided....🤷‍♀️

So yea, keep telling me that it's the matter of time....

Begging people who join the cod fandom and want to write fanfics; to read the wiki pages of the characters and watch cutscenes of the campaigns (they r free to watch on youtube)

The characters dont have much to go on to begin with, but they still have personalities that are very different from one another thats important to capture in your stories.

Theres been so many times ive seen writers put in their author note that they havent watched any campaigns and they are just going off on other fanfics, like, its so annoying. I end up reading the fics and they are extremely OOC that at this point its just an OC with Simons face on it or something.

Its ok to not know much about them in the beginning and get things wrong, and its ok to have headcanons that might be a bit ooc, (i do too!) but still having the personality and depth there that i can recognize that this is Ghost and this is Gaz etc.

So if you’re gonna put in effort to write a 5k+ fanfic, then u have time to read their wikis instead of depending on a few tiktok edits lmao

i really appreciate the concern coming from you guys, i am okay! i’m just goofing around on @nuzipilled and hyperfixating on MD. i apologize for any disappointment about that and i do plan to circle back around sometime (probably with episode 2 announcement)

what i do not appreciate is pushy anons demanding more art from me or making me feel guilty for either not posting TADC or shitting on MD in my inbox just for the sake that it grabbed my attention. i have a horrible case of adhd and my brain just tends to do this with hyperfixations, and i did not expect this account to explode as much as it did, and it is hard to be held to the same expectations i was when i was first drawing jaxpom stuff.

I have a life and interests outside of this blog. I am a full time tattoo artist and i draw fandom stuff on my free time when i want to/can. i will continue to be active here, i will answer interesting asks and messages but for now i’m a little burnt out regarding art and i would really appreciate it if you would be kinder in the ask box otherwise i will close it entirely
