Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants press release track-by-track with Noel
"About two years ago I used to get really bad anxiety attacks. About 4 o'clock one morning, I couldn't get to sleep. Usually, I would wake Meg up and she would have to sit and talk to me all night..." Gas Panic
A fascinating break down of one of my favourite Oasis albums. Doesn't get enough love. Little James cruelly derided by the fan base but it's a decent tune. I like it. My favourites: Gas Panic, Where Did It All Go Wrong - that hammond organ sound! and Roll It Over (Noel vocal) - one of the very few songs where I prefer Noel's vocal, he sings that one like he really lived it.
"It's Liam's favourite and he always has to have one of his favourites on the album. Liam being Liam, he tends to moan a lot and he doesn't stop moaning until he gets his way." I Can See A Liar
There's more!

i've said it one too many times at this point but truly if you told me i'd be genuinely enjoying a high school thai bl show titled 'my school president' in 2023 i'd be baffled. but it's made with so much heart that it's irresistible. in general the show is just delivering exactly what it promised and delivering it very well, which is why it's such a delight. and they have songs in every episode!!

But make sure I see white sails || galex || 5k, E, angst with a happy ending
On the whole, George is an acceptable addition to the flat, but sometimes Alex does want to lightly defenestrate him.
galex scholar @janinaduszejko is a genius and a gentlewoman... ty fab for your help!!

I haven’t posted here in a while but found myself in a rabbit hole on this last day of Women’s History Month 2024.
It started with the song Jeepers Creepers, which until today I thought was just a jingle to advertise sunglasses in the 70s.
Ethel Waters recorded the first known version in November 1938, just a few months before Louis Armstrong’s recording in 1939.
Original music composed by Harry Warren and lyrics by Johnny Mercer for the 1938 movie Going Places, in which Armstrong performed.
Ethel Waters was also the first African American woman to integrate Broadway when composer Irving Berlin awarded her a starring role in his Broadway musical, As Thousands Cheer.

funny thing is I don't really have any interest in hoarding knowledge or resources for myself in any way, I'm just bad at publishing stuff because I feel like that'd require a bit more stringent quality control than what I might expect of something made largely for my own use.
sometimes I think maybe I should set up something like a google drive or a git or something to just throw my personal- and work-in-progress stuff for people who are interested, but I dunno what limits for space or bandwidth or anything are like.
like I'm sure some people would possibly find the ColorSet unpacker python script useful?? It kinda sucks through and I want to make a better version of it and maybe one that could work as a standalone executable instead? and possibly a packer counterpart to the unpacker?? But also I keep thinking like "would this even be useful to anyone lmao??"
in theory you could probably make some kind of art program plugin that does all of this for you - even the bit with loading actual colorset information into layered colorset pairs, but I mean that's a lot of effort and I still largely use a 20+ year old version of Paint Shop Pro myself so...

There was a moment!!!! (I was gonna talk abt it in a post abt night #2 but oh well)
There was a moment at last quarter of whiplash in which James went behind Lars, while Lars was standing and banging on the drums, and he was spour him on, mouth open looking at him go and synchrozining his "encouragement" sjskakakak
Rythm section, right there.
ALSO THE FEET. Basically it's his spot, after all these years. Rob puts his feet on a different place and gets a different (funny) reaction.
