On the note of the snippet I posted. Ultimately what makes me go batshit insane about the Sith is that it's truly not about the magic of it all. It's about people being hurt and hurting others in turn.

What it is to become a Sith is to enmesh yourself, forever, in pain. It's at the very forefront of the doctrine, but even ignoring the mentality of it, on the basest level it is about physical and emotional pain. In agreeing to be an apprentice, you're agreeing to years of torture. You're agreeing to anything your master chooses to subject you to; they themselves have suffered as you have and they're chomping at the bit to inflict it upon you too. They have convinced themselves this pain has made them strong, but it has only made them vindictive.

Becoming a Sith is not about becoming powerful. It's about surviving the sheer horror of the training itself and convincing yourself survival is the same as control, that it's the same as power. It's about taking the seething, burning hatred you feel for the person who has tortured you and passing it onto your student, and repeating this for centuries. It's about licking your own wounds, not only the physical but those of centuries of disgraced Sith before you, hiding in the shadiest corners of the galaxy with no one but the person you hate most and believe you owe everything to.

The Sith are fundamentally pathetic, fundamentally impotent, fundamentally miserable, and it simply cannot be extricated from the mess of it all

A proper analysis of the Sith Code

A true Sith recognizes that the Force is a power fueled by one's emotions and passions. There is always passion, and to ignore passion by claiming to have attained an aloof 'peace' is a lie. Otherwise, the Jedi would not fight so hard to protect the Republic if they felt no passion for the Republic's ideals.

A true Sith then recognizes that he can't indulge in his passion but must instead work THROUGH the false promise of power provided by the rush of his emotions to gain strength. A true Sith must harness and direct his passion toward learning and growing stronger in the force.

Once a true Sith gains strength he must use his strength to gain power through his faithful followers, cowed rivals, and impressed allies. People respect strength, and that respect makes people amenable to the Sith's will, when people act for the Sith that becomes the Sith's power.

Through power, a true Sith gains victory because his chains are broken, and nothing can stop the Sith from achieving his goals.

The force thus sets a true Sith free.

Being captured by Maul and him evaluating your skills

You were surrounded. As the death watchers inched closer and closer, you had to fight back. Cause if you were gonna go out, might as well take a few of them with you.

Knocking back one of the death watchers with your force powers, you quickly swung around and kicked your leg into their chest, making that soldier groan in hurt before you wrapped your legs around their neck and forced them to the ground.

Looking back, you force-flew at least a couple of men back, before attacking a few more with such hostility. But from the distance, mandalore’s ruler was observing you.

The way you fought with so much rage. So much fury. So much passion. He couldn’t help but feel…what’s the word? Infatuated? No, that’s not it. He’s…taken by you.

And he couldn’t help but want more of that rage and passion for himself. Alas, he will take that passion, in any way he can.
