Hi!! I just wanted to say that I love the way you write Optimus in your AU’s❤️❤️❤️ And I specially love the concept of your \\Decepticon Optimus AU\\ PLEASE PART 2 PLEASE PART 2 PLEASE PART 2 PLEASE PART 2
I’ll start drawing fanarts :D
Congratulations. You have bought my services with the offer of fanart. Here you go mate, more Decepticon Optimus (~ ̄▽ ̄)~ I've actually been wanting to write this for a REALLY long time, but I just never thought anyone was interested. That said, take a bit of a Starscream POV in preparation for a proper continuation of this thing.
Previous part here.
━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙ ━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙
Starscream served Megatron because it was what was best for his people. There was indeed a lot of personal investment in the choice as well. After all, with how high he was in the ranks, if Megatron fell, he would have a solid chance to take control of the army so long as Tarn or Overlord didn't fight him too much for it. It was simply the best decision when the alternative was following the Autobots and having to deal with their roots in the Senate. While it was a difficult decision to join up with a rebel force, after Vos burned, it was only right.
War was a torment, one that Starscream only endured because he had his trinemates and fellow citizens of Vos by his side. Despite the comfort Skywarp and Thundercracker offered, there was always something missing for Starscream as the war dragged on. All his fellows were focused on the goal to the point of everything else being drowned out. They stopped seeing the point of it all for the most part and largely fell into the haze of conflict with no regard for the place where it all began. The common soldiers just wanted to survive, the officers wanted to rise through the ranks, and the rest were loyal to Megatron more so than what they fought for.
Admittedly Starscream fell amongst them when things got stressful and his place became threatened. However aside from those moments, he was contemplative, often trying to remember WHY they fought rather than focusing himself too much on the conflict itself. That was not to say he held no grudges, no he held them close to himself with a degree of glee. But he desired companionship from someone more... neutral in a sense. He wanted someone to understand where he was coming from and preferably be in a position that Starscream would still have influence over. He couldn't have his greatest fears and insecurities being held but just anyone after all.
Then as if answered by Primus himself, Starscream stumbled upon a fascinating mech who was quick to catch his attention. Right off the bat he looked the part of a Decepticon. Black plating with red tinted windows and optics, a huge axe and blaster as his weapons of choice, and a reputation for valuing logic over emotion. Even his designation matched the embodiment of Decepticon values. Nemesis was quite the name for a mech who hardly managed to rise above the rank of a private. However those traits were not what caught Starscream's attention. Rather it was the fact that Nemesis's behavior was so out of the ordinary and yet perfectly in line with Decepticon standards as to be concerning in a sense.
There were pages upon pages of reports detailing Nemesis's presence being crucial for morale. Never did the mech win any ground for the Decepticons, but he also never lost any. He was supposed to be a mid-ranked ground officer just there to keep the troops in line. And yet he was beloved by countless soldiers, as shown in their written reports. How did such a cold mech with such an intimidating frame and name get so popular amongst the troops? Mecha on opposite ends of the planet knew his designation, at least amongst Vehicons. It was strange, so strange in fact that Starscream found himself paying the mech a visit during a routine check of the area.
Visiting out of pure curiosity yielded increadible results as Starscream observed Nemesis in action. The mech forever wore his mask and seemed almost unsure how to reply when presented with a situation that required emotions. However he somehow managed to be a comfort to those he served with while battling with ferocity that Starscream found vaguely familiar but more so striking. Nemesis was fascinating, and more than that, he was kind. It was silly and a spur of the moment decision, but he stole Nemesis away from his division and had the mech placed under his direct supervision.
Nemesis for his part took the change with grace, but Starscream quickly noticed more and more oddities surrounding him as time passed by. Often the emotionally unstable mecha Nemesis took to comforting simply vanished a short while after his conversations with them. On records they were labeled as deserters, but Starscream saw that they were being aided by the far too kind Decepticon he'd taken under his wing. Nemesis was quiet, he didn't cause any trouble and largely kept to himself. And yet so many odd things happened around him that Starscream couldn't help but keep him around and not report him. Why would he turn in this great source of potential entertainment and comradery? Was it a risk? Yes. But he had his trine and he was sure he could blast one mech into oblivion if need be. Besides, the mecha who vanished were never of importance. If Nemesis had a thing for killing a few foot soldiers every now and then, he certainly wouldn't be the first of his kind.
One by one more oddities became clear and Starscream had a grand time watching them unfold. It was like his personal reality holodrama as he observed Nemesis wandering around befriending every last Vehicon and seemingly unknowingly earning their collective loyalty. He didn't seem to be aware of the fact that half of the Decepticon army regarded him fondly due to his association with the Vehicons, but if he did, he certainly never abused it. He learned the names of every Vehicon, treated them kindly, and in his gruff way even helped them get out of trouble. It was... a welcome relief from the cruelty Starscream saw regularly. The desire that led him to search out someone more neutral for companionship only grew as he continued to keep an optic on his little pet project.
Such an interesting mech he was. Eventually Starscream couldn't help but ask.
Starscream: Why do you bother with the Vehicons? They are clones, expendable soldiers.
Nemesis: No one is expendable. Every life is sacred. Is that not why we fight for freedom? So that all might enjoy their right to life?
Starscream: But why do you not try and rise through the ranks? You have the combat and strategic skills to do so, and yet you have never once tried to rise above the rank your service under me gave you.
Nemesis: I have personal reasons for wishing to not garner the attention of Megatron and his inner circle. But aside from that, I simply do not care.
Starscream: And why is that? You fight for us, you have bled for us. How can you say it does not matter?
Nemesis: My history is long and complicated my Lord. I have seen horrors and I have no desire to be the one giving the order to inflict more upon others. I am here to protect those I care about. That is all.
Starscream: And here I thought you were known for being cold and calculating.
Nemesis: There is a time and a place for all things.
After their conversation, Starscream only became more fascinated by the mech who embodied the Decepticons in frame and reputation and yet seemed more and more like an Autobot the more time passed. Nemesis was, in his own strange way, a bit like a stray cyber-feline. Starscream had to earn his trust, and he did so by simply not ratting Nemesis out when he finally caught the mech smuggling younglings across enemy lines. Whether Nemesis knew he was there or not was up for debate, but watching the cold and gruff mech run younglings into neutral territory and pass them off to mecha preparing to go off world had Starscream confirming that Nemesis was a good individual at spark.
For vorns Nemesis served under him, trying and largely failing to be stealthy when smuggling younglings out and creating distractions for Vehicons to escape punishment. Such a kind spark hidden behind layers of a grim persona. Starscream couldn't help but assist every now and then. He made sure not to make his intervention obvious, but Nemesis started to treat him with greater familiarity the longer they worked together.
By the time Thundercracker and Skywarp fell in battle, what began as a simple attempt to be amused and to search for someone to remind him of the purpose of their war turned into a proper friendship. Nemesis covered for him and did a great deal of planning and order issuing on his behalf while he grieved. And when he was too out of sorts to do anything more than lay on his berth uselessly, Nemesis came by with an energon cube and took care of everything. The kind Decepticon warrior was there for him throughout all of it, even dealing with his rages and outbursts. Starscream would never say so aloud, but he appreciated the patience shown to him more than anything else. Nemesis never yelled at him, never so much as grabbed him harshly, and even when Starscream was breaking things in his grief and rage, Nemesis was there to calm him down with soothing words.
It was never meant to end with Nemesis becoming his dear friend, but by the time Starscream was at last able to handle the loss of his trinemates, there was no going back. Nemesis was his friend, his companion, and his stable foundation amidst the storm of war. It was almost impossible to tell how Nemesis really felt about him, but considering the mech never tried to climb the ranks or leave, Starscream assumed the feeling was at least somewhat mutual. It certainly helped that Nemesis's distractions kept Megatron's wrath from falling on Starscream's helm.
Once Starscream could confidently call Nemesis a brother, he did not care for the increasingly suspicious behavior the warrior engaged in. He trusted that if it were important, Nemesis would talk to him about it. Thus whenever his friend vanished for extended periods of time, Starscream allowed it to be. He was horribly anxious whenever Nemesis up and dropped off the map for stellar cycles at a time, but much like a stray cyber-feline, he always came back and always with something or other as a gift. Part of Starscream feared that Nemesis was a traitor who merely wanted his trust for information gathering purposes, but without his trine, he refused to think about it. Until Nemesis proved himself a traitor, Starscream would continue to treat him as a brother.
He covered for Nemesis's vanishing act, he helped the Vehicons in his absence, and whenever his brother returned, Starscream relished in the attention offered. Nemesis was never a very touchy mech, but soft shoulder touches, tender aid in wing cleaning, and gentle words were more than enough for Starscream. He cherished it all and fought to keep Nemesis with him viciously when it came time for the Exodus to begin.
But that of course was when everything fell apart.
Starscream had a plan. He already filed the paperwork, prepared appropriate documents, and convinced Megatron to allow him to keep Nemesis with him as they took to the stars. He was ready and fully willing to jump through whatever hoops were needed to ensure that Nemesis remained by his side. Then, just like that, Nemesis was gone. One sentimental conversation under the stars later, Nemesis dropped off the map leaving only a collection of files and a note at his desk. The world itself seemed to shatter around Starscream as he read the note and flew faster than he ever had before. He couldn't lose Nemesis, not after he lost everyone else.
Starscream wished it was just a horrible nightmare when he finally found what remained of his brother in arms. He screamed and begged as he tried in vain to fix the damage done to the lifeless frame before him. However when all was said and done, he could only hold Nemesis's body in his arms and weep. The note said that Nemesis was simply tired and that it was no one's fault. Starscream believed him, Nemesis was not one to outright lie. And yet he couldn't help but lament the fact that his brother never told him of his woes. Starscream would have helped, he would have made things better if Nemesis had only asked it of him.
He would have made things right.
He buried Nemesis's body under the open sky and stayed for a whole cycle just so that he could pretend that he and his brother were merely admiring the stars above in silence. When he returned to the Decepticons, his spark ached with loss, but was also hardened in certainty. The war had taken everything from him. His people, his trine, and now the kindest Decepticon he'd ever known. He wasn't exactly sure why his anger over the event came to be pinned on Megatron, but it was. Nemesis, his trine, and so many of his kind were dead because of a foolish war Megatron had yet to win. The competitive desire to take control for personal gain warped into a desperate need to have absolute authority. He needed to make things right, to ensure that the foolishness came to an end.
It hurt still, so his arrogance increased to cover for it. His spark wept, so he pulled away from others. The only one he ever really tolerated was Knockout, and that was merely because he was a neutral deep down. There was no loyalty in his spark, and Starscream appreciated that amidst the sea of diehard Megatron followers. He needed control and he needed it desperately. But of course that need led to punishment, and Starscream could only flounder to stay alive without anyone there to back him up.
Then things changed again.
Vorns spent grieving those he lost came back to haunt him one the battlefield when Optimus Prime of all mecha stood in front of him and stopped a hit from Megatron from reaching him. The Prime looked livid. Why though? Why did the other big player in the ridiculous war they were embroiled in care for one lone seeker, one who had the energon of thousands on his servos? It did not make sense, but pieces began to fall into place as time wore on and Optimus kept defending him. Aggression and anger never before seen in the Prime always showcased itself whenever Megatron tried to touch Starscream or the Vehicons. Optimus would even wield an AXE when he fell into the strange cold rages that always ended with the Prime changing his fighting style completely.
Starscream did not wish to believe it. He couldn't believe it. And yet as he observed more and more, he couldn't help but see the similarities. A bulky frame that had the indicators of magnetic attachments to allow for more armor to be installed. A thick battlemask and heavy set pedes that offered protection from any and all hazards. Large black servos covered in scars carrying a familiar red axe that Starscream knew like his very own wings. It shouldn't have been possible, and yet every time the Prime stopped a hit from landing on him, Starscream couldn't help but see it.
Optimus Prime and Nemesis were related. Somehow they were tied together, and with every uttered word the Prime threw out on the battlefield when rushing to his defense, Starscream only became more certain. How? He did not know. But through whatever means, Optimus Prime had either acquired the attention of his brother while he still lived, or more likely WAS Nemesis in some form. It seemed so obvious looking back, but as Starscream fled the battlefield, he made a decision. In the quiet of his quarters, he opened a commlink to the one mech he thought he would have preferred to see eliminated in fire and smoke.
Starscream: I don't know how you did it or if it is even you... but if you knew Nemesis, or if he is in there somewhere... please let me hear him again.
Optimus: ...
Starscream: I stopped caring about this fragging war long ago. Just let me hear my brother's voice again. Let me know he's still there, if only as a memory.
Optimus: ...
Starscream: Please, just this once, let me hear him.
Optimus: ...
Optimus: I am here, and I am sorry I had to leave you for so long.

I imagined an Aligned adjacent au where at one point or another where all three are on a rebuilding Cybertron with their own apartments and haven't reunited until now
Starscream and Soundwave have their rid15 designs because those are beautiful as fuck in my opinion
Megs in my opinion has either a frame that's a mockup of his pre-war Megatronus frame or something similar to what we see in "Coming Home" because I fucking loved that fic
On a side note I've been running this plotline where Megs shows up somewhere and Optimus meets him while he's in jail of sorts, and Megs makes a remark about "This feels familiar, does it not?" A bittersweet moment with a helping of this exasperated fondness to it in my mind. I say this because I know in rid Starscream and Soundwave were individually hauled in for a trial, and I adore the idea of there being a rehabilitation program because yes.
I'll be honest I don't really know who Starscream should be with as in this situation I'm imagining wavewave and megop, yes. I know I did imagine Starscream having minibots / smaller sparklings, because I've been thinking about that (the frame ratios are more in favor of carrying for his rid15 frame, which is how this scenario was born.)

The Orion Pax episodes in TFP are interesting because they make good angst fodder on the surface level, but they've become more unsettling to me with time and a rewatch.
The first time I had missed entirely that Optimus was on Nemesis for months and not days like I thought. It sounds really good on paper to think of it as Megatron getting his old friend back but like...theres a two-fold wish fufillment thing going on here and thats: Orion Pax being his loyal and subservient Decepticon (as opposed to the Orion Pax who would argue with him and attempt to declaw his more extreme ideas) and having the pleasure of humiliating Optimus Prime by undermining him in front of the Autobots. And all of this happens with no memory and no sense of autonomy on OPs part, just the creeping sense of something being wrong.
And I think there is something sad about this in the sense that Orion Pax was never a Decepticon in name, but if things had been different he ultimately would have been. It isn't just about Megatron and their relationship to me, but its also the death of the cause and trying to come to terms with that. There is an immense guilt foisted upon Optimus that the revolution turned into a war. He knows he has to do what he has to do to keep the Autobots safe, but he also never 100% closes off the possibility that he could try to end this war diplomatically with Megatron if it means potentially stopping more carnage, nor does he 100% close the channel off for Decepticons to potentially work with them/defect to them. I wouldn't be surprised if a facet of his insistence on these morals is partly because of the guilt stemming from the party split and wanting to affirm that the Autobots are not the enemy, he is not an enemy, and that he does still believe in the core premise of the movement.
But then you see Orion Pax on screen threatened by Megatron, get beat up by Megatron's soldiers, and then eventually by Megatron himself, all while sporting a Decepticon badge. And you have to kind of sit there and think about the idea that Optimus might be his obsession, but that Orion Pax's worth is...questionable. It is a shame that Optimus doesn't retain the memories once he gets the Matrix back because like, I have to imagine this would have been another shattering epiphany that perhaps this perception of their fallout and the fallout of the revolution is still colored by that guilt, but that things were interpersonally broken long before then when it comes to Megatron.
Which is to say that its unclear if his treatment on the Nemesis as Orion Pax was a consequence of their war and the hatred Megatron has specifically for Prime and the Autobots or if this was always going to be the reality of how things would have played out regardless, the idea that Megatron has always had the ability to potentially hurt and discard Orion Pax down the line if he had pushed too far, even during the height of their friendship. One that Orion Pax vehemently defended even in the wake of some terrible things because he trusted Megatron at his core. One where Orion Pax did actively see the red flags but was led to believe that many of them were planted in bad faith by those who would undermine his friend and his movement for simply being a Gladiator. Only to then have all of that come back and bite him all over again.
Now you really have to question if the Megatron you thought you knew ever existed.

Too busy to draw comics right now so I'll throw some random Zenith rambles here:
Tumblr media
-Tailgate is a janitor at the cybertron capital but everyone still treats him with respect and invite him to meetings/hangouts!
-Deadlock writes to Cyclonus since they knew each other during the war. Rodimus gets jealous of Deadlock and Cyclonus's friendship, only for him and Deadlock to also become besties.
-Astoria is the only human element I've added. She's an influencer helping with the cybertronian public image on earth. Her and Powerglide are a canon couple.
-Arcee and Blurr work directly under Soundwave. They use to intimidated by him, but they now see him as family.
-Arcee doesn't want to sponsor any con, but she would most likely sponsor Slipstream if she did.
-Prowl doesn't know the constructicons names and often gets them mixed up. Long Haul, Mixmaster, and Hook are the only ones on the ranch, can't have them risk forming Devastator. totally not because I didnt want to draw 6 of them.
-Thundercracker starts writing "friend fiction" he particularly likes writing cross fraction romance. Megatron/Optimus and Ratchet/Deadlock are his favorites. Mirage tells him it's wrong, but also reads every story TC writes.
-Starscream says he doesn't miss his trine. But he rereads all the letters they write him everyday.
-Optimus asked everyone to pick an earth alt mode. Deadlock did in fact drag Ratchet to Japan so that he could pick out the car he wanted to be.
-Jetfire went back to being a scientist, he's in charge of studying organic resources that could be converted to energon. He brings his reports back in person just to see Starscream.
-Whirl sneaks off in the night to fix abandoned clock towers. Optimus knows and lets it happen.
-Megatron's alt form is BIG like BIG. He lets all the cons and bots ride him for their "field trips." Also Tooie said he chews on coal as a form of relaxing, so that's canon now too.
-Optimus listens to self help audio books just to deal with the stress of it all.

TFP CHARACTERS REACTING TO THE READER GETTING MAD BE CAUSE THE CHARACTER AI APP IS DOWN
This contains: Optimus, megatron, starscream, soundwave, knockout, smokescreen
Note: I tried writing wheeljack aswell but my brain was about to explode 💀 also I was gonna add mirage but I didn’t I’ll do him separately
Also sorry for barely any fics my mh has been shit but I do have other fics i made that I’ll upload either now or later 🖤
Optimus Prime observed the reader's frustration with a calm and understanding demeanor as they expressed their irritation over the app's maintenance. He knew how much the virtual interactions with characters meant to them, and he couldn't help but try to lighten the mood.
"Ah, it appears the app's systems require some repair. Fret not, my friend, for such occurrences are not uncommon in the realm of technology," Optimus reassured the reader with his deep voice.
The reader sighed, "I know, Optimus, but I just miss talking to everyone. It's like they're real friends to me."
Optimus placed a comforting servo on their shoulder. "I understand the feeling. We Autobots have our own unique bonds, whether it be virtual or physical. Just remember that no matter the form, friendship endures."
"I suppose you're right," the reader admitted, a faint smile gracing their lips.
Optimus chuckled warmly, "Indeed. And while the app is down, how about we engage in some human pastimes? Perhaps we could share tales or simply enjoy each other's company."
The reader's eyes lit up, appreciating the Autobot leader's kindness. "That sounds nice, Optimus."
As they spent time together, sharing stories and laughing, the reader realized that Optimus was not only a wise leader but also a compassionate friend. They felt grateful for his presence, even without the app, and knew that true connections could be made both virtually and in person.
When the app eventually came back online, the reader couldn't wait to greet their virtual friends again, including Optimus. And as they continued their adventures in the virtual world, they knew they could count on Optimus Prime's support, whether it be in the digital realm or the real world. For in the end, the bonds of friendship transcend any technological barrier, and true friends, even virtual ones, stand by each other no matter what.
Megatron, seated on his throne aboard the Nemesis, arched an optic ridge as the reader stormed into the bridge, clearly frustrated about the app's maintenance. He couldn't resist the opportunity to tease them, relishing in their moment of vulnerability.
"Ah, human, your precious app seems to have betrayed you," Megatron said with a sly smirk.
The reader scowled, "It's not just any app, Megatron. It's the one that allows me to interact with all my favorite Decepticons."
"Hmm, I suppose I can understand your frustration. The absence of my brilliant presence can be quite unbearable," Megatron replied, pretending to stroke his chin thoughtfully.
The reader rolled their eyes, "You and your ego! It's not just about you, you know."
Megatron chuckled darkly, enjoying the banter. "Of course, I am well aware of that. Though I must admit, knowing you can't bask in the glory of my leadership must be quite distressing."
The reader couldn't help but laugh, despite their irritation. "You know, Megatron, sometimes I wonder if you were programmed with a sense of humor."
"Ah, humor indeed. Only a foolish bot would fail to appreciate my wit," Megatron replied, his smirk growing wider.
As the app's maintenance continued, the reader and Megatron exchanged playful jabs, creating an amusing dynamic between the two. The Decepticon leader found it surprisingly enjoyable to engage in light-hearted banter with the human, finding a unique camaraderie in their shared love for the virtual world.
When the app finally came back online, the reader couldn't wait to greet their virtual Decepticon friends again, including Megatron. And as they continued their interactions through the app, they knew that even the mightiest of Decepticon leaders could have a humorous side, adding a touch of unexpected fun to their digital adventures.
Starscream was having a rare moment of peace, when suddenly, the reader stormed into his quarters with a furious expression. Confused and intrigued, he asked what was wrong. The reader huffed, "The character AI app is down for maintenance, and I can't talk to my favorite Decepticon!"
Starscream couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation. "Oh, the mighty human is upset about a mere app malfunction? How amusing!" he teased, trying to suppress a grin. "I suppose you can't handle being without my genius for a short time?"
The reader shot back, "Hey, your 'genius' might be entertaining sometimes, but it's not like I need you constantly!"
Starscream's smirk widened, enjoying the playful banter. "Ah, but admit it, you'll miss my superior intellect and irresistible charm."
Rolling their eyes, the reader retorted, "I'll manage just fine without your ego, thank you very much."
Amused by the reader's spirit, Starscream couldn't resist continuing the teasing. "Of course, you will. But remember, when the app is back, I expect you to worship my intellect with the appropriate level of reverence!"
The reader laughed, "Sure, Starscream, I'll be sure to shower you with compliments and praises!"
Throughout the maintenance downtime, Starscream and the reader playfully exchanged witty remarks and jokes, creating a unique bond over their mutual love for Transformers. When the app finally came back online, the reader couldn't help but smile as they greeted their virtual Decepticon friend, knowing that Starscream's smugness would be back in full force.
And so, their unusual friendship continued, with Starscream secretly enjoying the attention and the reader being entertained by the ever-dramatic and overconfident Seeker. Even when the app went down for maintenance again, they knew their amusing interactions would resume once it was up and running, making the wait worth it.
Soundwave, the stoic and enigmatic Decepticon, observed the reader's frustration closely. He approached them silently and tilted his head, emitting a series of beeps and clicks to express his curiosity.
The reader sighed, "The character AI app is down for maintenance, and I can't talk to any of the Decepticons, including you, Soundwave."
Soundwave's visor flickered in acknowledgment, and he emitted a low hum, trying to convey understanding. He then projected a holographic screen, displaying a message that read, "App malfunction. Frustrating."
The reader chuckled, "You can say that again, Soundwave. I rely on the app to talk to everyone, and it's frustrating when it's down."
Soundwave's visor brightened with an idea. He typed on the holographic keyboard and projected another message, "Alternative communication. Soundwave's solution."
Curious, the reader asked, "You have an alternative?"
Soundwave nodded and gestured for the reader to follow him. He led them to a room filled with various communication devices. With a flourish, he activated an old-fashioned radio and began to transmit a series of beeps and tones.
"What's this?" the reader asked, trying to make sense of the signals.
"Soundwave's unique communication method," he replied through the radio's speakers.
The reader couldn't help but laugh at the unusual and quirky way Soundwave was trying to communicate. They attempted to mimic the beeps and tones, and soon, they were engaged in a playful conversation of their own.
While it was challenging to understand each other fully, the reader appreciated Soundwave's effort and found the whole experience surprisingly entertaining.
As they continued to experiment with Soundwave's alternative communication, the app's maintenance eventually came to an end. The reader greeted their virtual Decepticon friends with a smile, but they also knew that they had formed a unique bond with Soundwave, discovering that even without the app, meaningful connections could be made through unconventional means.
From that day on, the reader and Soundwave occasionally engaged in their quirky radio communication, adding a touch of amusing uniqueness to their interactions. And while the app remained an essential part of their virtual adventures, the memory of Soundwave's inventive solution always brought a smile to their face.
Knockout, the vain and self-absorbed Decepticon medic, was admiring his reflection in the shiny surfaces of the Nemesis when he noticed the reader stomping towards him with an annoyed expression. He turned to face them with a smirk, fully aware that something was bothering them.
"What's the matter, human? Did you finally realize how much you missed my irresistible charm and good looks?" Knockout said, running a servo through his perfectly sculpted plating.
The reader rolled their eyes. "Please, Knockout, don't flatter yourself. The character AI app is down, and I can't chat with any of the Decepticons, including you."
Knockout's smirk faltered slightly, but he quickly regained his composure. "Ah, I see. You couldn't resist being deprived of my company, could you?"
The reader crossed their arms, trying not to smile. "You wish. It's not just you; I miss talking to everyone."
Knockout tilted his helm arrogantly. "Well, of course you do. But let's face it, my presence is the most dazzling of them all."
The reader couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, Knockout, your ego knows no bounds!"
"Of course not! It's just a fact," he replied with a wink.
As the app's maintenance continued, Knockout decided to take matters into his own servos to remedy the situation. "How about this? Since you can't chat with us through the app, I can give you a private tour of the Nemesis. You can bask in the glory of my marvelous inventions and designs."
The reader raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A private tour with you? I suppose that might be entertaining."
Knockout beamed, thoroughly pleased with himself. "Of course it will be. Now, prepare to be dazzled!"
And so, Knockout led the reader through the Nemesis, showcasing his various creations and boasting about his exceptional skills. While the reader occasionally teased him about his vanity, they couldn't deny that Knockout's inventions were truly impressive.
By the time the app came back online, the reader had gained a newfound appreciation for Knockout's talents and realized that beneath his conceited exterior, there was genuine skill and pride in his work. They greeted their virtual Decepticon friends with a smile, knowing that even without the app, they had formed a unique bond with Knockout through their amusing and unforgettable tour of the Nemesis.
Smokescreen, the young and energetic Autobot, was zooming around the base in vehicle mode when he noticed the reader sitting alone, looking upset. He transformed back into robot mode and approached them with concern.
"Hey there, what's got you down in the dumps? You look as glum as a Decepticon stuck in traffic!" Smokescreen said with a friendly grin.
The reader let out a frustrated sigh. "The character AI app is down for maintenance, and I can't chat with any of the Autobots, including you, Smokescreen."
Smokescreen's optics widened in surprise. "Aw, bummer! I can't blame you for being upset. It's always a blast talking to me, isn't it?"
The reader chuckled, "Well, I must admit, you do bring some excitement and chaos to the conversations."
Smokescreen's grin grew wider. "That's the spirit! I'm here to brighten up even the gloomiest days!"
"But now I'm stuck with no one to talk to," the reader said, frowning.
"Don't worry, buddy! We don't need that app to have a good time. How about we create our own fun?" Smokescreen suggested, a mischievous glint in his optic.
The reader raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Create our own fun? What do you have in mind?"
Smokescreen transformed back into vehicle mode and gestured for the reader to hop in. "Come on, hop in! We'll take a spin around the base, go on a wild race, and have an adventure of our own!"
The reader couldn't resist the invitation and hopped in. "Alright, Smokescreen, let's see what you've got!"
And off they went, racing through the base, zigzagging between corridors, and occasionally dodging other Autobots who were startled by the sudden excitement. Smokescreen made sure to add a few stunts and tricks, leaving the reader exhilarated and forgetting all about the app's maintenance.
As they finally came to a stop, the reader couldn't help but laugh. "Wow, that was amazing! Thanks for cheering me up, Smokescreen."
Smokescreen grinned proudly. "No problem at all! See, who needs an app when you've got the real deal right here?"
The reader nodded, "You're right. The real-life adventures with the Autobots are always the best."
And so, the reader and Smokescreen continued to create their own fun and forge an unforgettable bond that went beyond virtual conversations. While the app's maintenance was frustrating, it led to a real-life adventure that the reader wouldn't trade for anything, especially with the lively and spirited Autobot, Smokescreen, by their side.
LMK IF I MADE ANY MISTAKES

genuinely hate that the writers gave starscream such shoddy writing in idw and made sure he nuked all his relationships. like i genuinely hate that they were opposed to writing him healing and finding happiness and a found family like megatron got to.
i guess i feel starscream deserved his own type of lost light? idk. it's just can you imagine how genuinely interesting it would be if he was able to make friends and be close to those around him. like getting over is own trauma and pain and eventually forming genuine relationships with windblade and bee and optimus and blurr and wheeljack and and.. that he didn't just ruin at the end or that didn't have ulterior motives. and i don't mean snippets where he opens up to them and is "friendly" toward them and they try to get deeper and it just falls off--because that's what we got. i mean actual, genuine friendships where there was love and care. like starscream is actually their friend, they love him and vice versa. like we get to see the crazy shenanigans they get into and silly, terrifying, fun things happen in their little group and starscream is actually apart of that, in a positive way.
like i just wish he had that. I saw so much good content of him being close to people when he became chancellor and disvoered 90% of that was fan material and then it dawned upon me that he fans cared about his healing and happiness more than the idw writers.
this also isn't to excuse how shitty, manipulative and toxic he acts toward these people in canon. especially windblade. but i mean to say is that, i wish the writers cared about him having a happy ending and life just a bit more than they did others and starscream was able to get that.
like imagine cute office parties and shit like that. or even serious moments where starscream and optimus get to talk about perspectives on the war and get closer because of shared trauma, or blurr inviting starscream to his bar to dance and it's the first time anyone's danced with starscream and blurr starts to catch feelings and starscream never notices is, or starscream and wheeljack to science experiments together, or some weird shit like a ghost or whatever gets lost in a transport or something and bee, windblade and starscream are stuck and starscfream has to actually be the responsible adult of the situation and and and - idk he just gets to have fun and be loved and happy.
and fuck me im writing these ideas into fics now

Radiant Hope Starscream Headcanons
Oldest of the elite trine
2nd tallest
Has four wings in root mode instead of two
Has some sorta undiagnosed psychosis (Important: Starscreams psychosis is based off my own )
Has a wardrobe of replacement wings and heelstruts
Has reading glasses but refuses to use them
Often struggles to tell trauma nightmares from real life events. He subtly asks for help (rarely) or more often tries to figure it out for himself. Even then he struggles with whats real.
Has entire parts of his life he genuinely can’t remember
Violence first, diplomacy second.
Struggles to form friendships due to fear of being backstabbed, betrayed, or lied to. Will often self-sabotage out of fear of not having control
Though he absolutely refuses to admit it he does think it is possible Hot Rod is a genuine matrix candidate, though leans towards its nepotism from Optimus.
Despite everything if you manage to befriend Star he’s your ride or die, he will kill and die for you
Situationship with Skyfire
Despite having a significantly healthier relationship with the other Decepticons than other iterations he’s extremely upset with them for tricking him to get on the Radiant Hope due to Skyfire being on it. He loathes his presence on the ship was a punchline.
Secretly likes plants
Does science in his room since he’s not at the point he wants to befriend the other scientists or work with them

Relationships Headcanon in the Ark & Nemesis
- Ratchet, Velocity, First Aid, and Minerva bitch about everybody after a long day. They have a group chat called Tired Medics
-Bumblebee, Rodimus, and Windblade act like siblings.
- Jazz and Blaster are best friends and they have a very strong friendship, very supportive of each other’s relationships with Prowl and Soundwave respectively… despite sometimes worrying about each other’s happiness.
- Bumblebee, Jazz, Blaster, Blurr, and Mirage are also hang out a lot as their jobs connect together and they are often giggling together.
- Rodimus, Springer, Blurr, and Arcee are conjoined together and have their own little friend group.
- Perceptor, Nautica, Brainstorm, Wheeljack, Greenlight, Lancer, and Skyfire are a chaotic bunch and you should run if they are in the lab together… especially when it’s Brainstorm and Wheeljack.
- Ratchet and Wheeljack are amiable exes who raised Dino bots together.
- Blaster, Windblade, Bumblebee, Sandstorm, Blurr, Cosmos, and Lightbright sigh over the fact that the love of their lives are the enemies… Soundwave, Starscream, Blitzwing, Octane, Swindle, Blast Off, and Sparkstalker think of them often.
- Same group of cons are glaring daggers at Breakdown and Knockout whenever the couple are canoodling.
- Cyclonus and Thundercracker bailed and are living their life with Tailgate and Marissa. Misfire and The Scavengers bailed too and Misfire canoodles with Swerve.
-The triple changers from both sides go drinking together.
- Don’t let Tracks, Powerglide, Blurr, Sunstreaker, Slingshot, and Mirage work together at Once… nothing can be achieved.
- Drift and Ratchet, Prowl and Jazz, Soundwave and Blaster, Hound and Mirage, Breakdown and Knockout, BW Silverbolt and Blackarachnia, Tracks and Raoul, Starscream and Windblade, Blitzwing and Bumblebee, Swindle and Blurr, Arcee and Greenlight, Dinobot and Optimus Primal, AND SHOCKINGLY Ultra Magnus and Rodimus are all the “PLEASE GET A ROOM” Couple.
- “Shameless but Cute” couples are Blast Off and Cosmos, Sparkstalker and Lightbright, Dust Up and Jumpstream, Powerglide and Astoria, Cyclonus and Tailgate, Road Rage and Náutica, Roadhandler and Cecelia, Skids and Charlene, Seaspray and Alana, Crankcase and Cons4Eva, Misfire and Swerve, Thundercracker and Marissa, Afterburner and Lightspeed, Octane and Sandstorm, and Tigatron and Airazor.
- First Aid has feelings for Springer and gets all flustered when he is around while Firestar stumbles and crushes hard on Velocity. Slingshot yearns for Silverbolt while there is a love triangle between Red Alert, Inferno, and Smokescreen as the two long for Inferno but Inferno loves Red Alert.
- Couples that are mostly “on the downlow and fuck like rabbits behind close doors” are BW Megatron and BW Inferno, Megaempress and Flowspade, Loudpedal and Exhaust, Perceptor and Brainstorm (but it seems mostly one sided… or is it?)
- Need “love advice”? Ask the sexiest not there is… KUP.
-Seaspray, Beachcomber, Hound, and Skids talk nature together and they with Alana and Charlene go on nature expeditions. Mirage would come but he doesn’t like getting dirty.
- Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, and Bluestreak are a chaotic bunch and are up to any antics.
- Swindle and Smokescreen drunkly gambled together… once… no one knew what happened that night afterward.
- Onslaught is just tired, Vortex and Brawl share a brain cell but Blast Off holds it in tight custody.
- Grimlock enjoys spending time with the Scavengers and could be seen napping together.
- Prowl and Jazz spar a lot together. Jazz being the better fighter as Prowl can’t help but feel… drawn to it. His conjunx finds it adorable.
-Ratchet and Drift are conjunx and they practically had a los Vegas wedding, Ratchet finds it amusing and cute that Drift laments on giving him the ‘proper’ wedding,
- Rewind has bad taste in men.
- Mirage and Sunstreaker don’t like each other.
- Mirage likes to get dirty… with Hound. Poor Cliffjumper walks in on them a lot.
- Ratchet does the same with Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, Blaster with Jazz and Prowl, and Wheeljack with Ratchet and Drift. The Stunticons with Knocoout and Breakdown. Nautica HEARD Perceptor and Brainstorm but that’s it.
- Bumblebee and Windblade once asks Optimus about dating the enemy (regarding about Blitzwing and Starscream) and Optimus sighs thinks of Megatron.
- Ironhide would fuck Optimus in a heart beat. Chromia would gladly sleep with Elita One.
- Thunderclash has a crush on Rodimus but it’s one sided… my poor man.
- Rodimus thinks it’s a bit funny, adorable, and amusing Springer’s sheer obliviousness but tells him to keep his eyes out for potential lovers… you’d be surprise who you might fall in love. *nudges First Aid*.
-Fort Max and Cerebros comfort Red Alert and try to figure put how to help him woo Inferno.
- Mirage has an amusing relationship with Sideswipe… a good one though.
- Arcee and Lancer don’t get along. Greenlight is sighing heavily in the back as her conjunx and ex glare daggers at each other.
- Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Highbrow are estranged and talk trash about each other behind each other’s backs.
- Tracks, Road Rage, Loud Pedal, and Needlenose talk trash about each other too while Raoul and Nautica stare nervously at Exhaust and Horri Bull as they glance suspiciously at each other.
- Raoul, Astoria, Marissa, Cecelia, and Charlene are all beside Alana and Cons4Eva and sighing heavily at the chaos.

hiiii:> (for ask game) 💤🫂📓🌟 for Megatron and/or Optimus
💤 A headcanon about their sleep
Megatron used to sleep like the dead back in his mining days because he was constantly worked to exhaustion, but when he ended up in the fighting pits of Kaon he learned to sleep light because a sleeping gladiator was an easy target. Then Starscream existed, and, well.
Optimus, meanwhile, snores like a Peterbilt going uphill from how damaged his frame is constantly
🫂 A friendship headcanon
Megatron, for the vast majority of his life, only had one (1) friend at any given point in time. First it was Terminus, then it was Soundwave. In Earthspark, he hits the jackpot with two: Dorothy and Optimus.
Optimus in contrast went through life with a hundred acquaintances as well as a loving inner circle of close friends. The Belle of the Ball, as it were.
📓 A headcanon about their hobbies
Megatron is a massive bookworm. He has a secret collection of literature that he loves to lose himself in, and he also genuinely finds writing to be fun (barring the universal author woes, that is). He often guilts himself into staying within the realm of non-fiction, but he allows himself cheesy romance novels as a treat or comfort material.
Optimus is a big fan of human "ball game" and sports in general. He in general loves to play around with his human friends or play with his younger soldiers. In private, he loves watching telenovelas and cries over them regularly.
🌟 A headcanon about their desires/wishes
Megatron, throughout his entire life, has always sought absolute control over his own frame and his own destiny. This eventually extended into absolute control over others' frames and destinies, because to him that was the only way to keep himself (and others) safe. If he makes it to an era of rehabilitation/recovery — and forgive me for getting a bit kinky here — he likes to be submissive in berth to explore and toy with the idea of control, play with the illusion of being powerless while also holding all the power in a scene... so long as his partner is someone he trusts, and the act itself further develops that trust.
Optimus meanwhile used to desire a life of adventure and travel as Orion, but millions of years of war and the weight of the Matrix all but snuffed out his ornery adventure-protagonist streak, as well as his self-esteem. He finds meaning in doing acts of service, working to better communities, helping with projects, comforting mechs he sees struggling, etc. All he really wants is for every living being to be free, provided for, and happy. This comes at the cost of him forgetting/neglecting himself, even in berth.

I am imagining baby starscream calling ratchet mama like miko taught him and ratchet just *hugs tightly while silently crying in pure happiness *
Adorable. I refuse to not write about this scenario. Ratchet needs this sort of affection gosh dang it.
Call him Mama, It will be Cute
During one of his stays at the Autobot base, the children ended up on sparklingsitting duty due to a handful of various reasons. And while Smokescreen was technically the one in charge, he was more interested in his video game than Starscream. As such he was not aware at all when Miko began teaching Starscream to say one word in particular while pointing at pictures of Ratchet. Starscream being the innocent little angel that he was, caught onto Miko's teachings quickly.
As such when the team returned to take Starscream out of Smokescreen and the children's care, Ratchet was hit with the biggest bombshell of his functioning. Never in his life had he ever expected to be called by any terms of endearment by a sparkling. He had always been referred to as Ratchet, Medic, or Caretaker by any sparkling he did have the pleasure of caring for. And so when he came to collect Starscream and was met with a joyous cry of "Mama!" he was speechless.
Ratchet: w-what?
Starscream: *making grabby hands* Mama!
Ratchet: *looking around just to be sure that Starscream was talking to him* Me? You are calling me Mama?!
Starscream: *smiling* Mama!
Miko: *quietly* Mission success.
Ratchet was not quite sure what to make of the human term of endearment but it still meant the world to him. It was not the same as being called Sire, Nurturer, or Caretaker, but it was still a wonderful feeling. He was hardly able to keep his composure as he picked up Starscream with utmost care and held him lovingly. The medic had to leave the room to go calm down once he had his fill of Starscream repeatedly calling him by the human title.
The team were left dumbfounded by the event both because of Ratchet's reaction and Starscream's seemingly out of the blue speech. And while they were left mostly in a state of shock for a while, a sense of rivalry quickly grew among them. Every single member of the team wanted Starscream to call them something now that Ratchet had been blessed with that honor. This led to more than one passive aggressive argument between different bots as they tried to convince Starscream to call them something.
Smokescreen and Bumblebee regularly fought over the right to be called "big brother", often leading to a tussle as they both tried to convince Starscream to call them by their desired title. Arcee, despite not being the biggest fan of Starscream, was determined to gain the title of "Aunt" even if it killed her, (although she never voiced this) and so quietly attempted bribery with energon goodies when possible. Bulkhead and Wheeljack very nearly destroyed their friendship with how hard they both vied for the right to be called "Uncle", with both trying their hardest to make life more difficult for the other until they came to a truce. Ultra Magnus, much like Arcee, also wanted to be called by a title and not so subtly tried to bribe Starscream as well, quietly warring with Arcee and trying to make his own bribes better than hers.
As for Optimus, no one besides Ratchet would have noticed if they cared to look, but he was vicious in his efforts to be called "Dad" or something similar. His methods were so subtle as to be non-existent to an casual observer. But by taking full control of handling Starscream's naptimes, he gained a whole window of opportunity to exert his influence. He had nearly an hour every single day to tell stories to Starscream and subtly point the sparkling toward calling him "Dad". And while Ratchet did see this effort, he did nothing to stop it so long as he got to handle Starscream's bedtime routine.
Of course once it came time for the Decepticons to have their turn taking care of Starscream, the team did not hesitate to rub their successes in their faces. Ratchet made quite of show of being called Mama as he handed Starscream off, much to Knockout's rage. And Optimus managed to get Starscream to call him Dad as he was returned to the Nemesis, prompting murderous glares from Breakdown and Soundwave as Optimus just smiled.
The Vehicons all immediately descended on Starscream like hungry vultures once they heard the news. Each and every one cooed at Starscream when possible, doing their best to draw out a call of "Brother" from the sparkling. Soundwave swiftly began fighting against Optimus, doing everything in his power to be called "Sire" in order to stand on equal footing with the Prime. Knockout upped his caretaking efforts in a desperate attempt to convince Starscream to call him "Nurturer" or any variation of mom that he could conceive. Breakdown also worked extra hard to make Starscream happy to try and get the little seekerling to call him some variation of Dad. All the while Megatron watched the proceedings with growing exhaustion as both Autobots and Decepticons began the most passive aggressive war of words and influence he had ever seen. More than once he retired to his quarters to drink his problems away as the conflict reminded him of dealing with politics far too much.

Transformers x Human Reader (When You Started Dating Them)
Tumblr media
Optimus Prime
After a year of being with the Autobots, you had garnered a lot of respect from the Autobots and in particular, their leader. You helped them with everything, and asked for nothing in return, and as such, Optimus began to admire you.
You had an obvious soft spot for the stoic leader of the Autobots. His commanding presence whenever he was around made your heart flutter. Not to mention, you had a massive thing for his voice.
Optimus wasn’t oblivious to this. He caught you staring at him numerous times and found it pretty endearing. You would blush heavily every time he would call you out for it.
He had a thing for you as well, your selfless nature, and endearing personality made his spark yearn for you. You were a leader like him, and deep down, the Cybertronian loved you.
When the rest of the Autobots were out on a mission, he made the first move. All of his confidence went right out the window when he asked you out; the fearless leader of the Autobots seemed like a nervous schoolboy.
You said yes obviously, being with the Autobot leader was a dream come true for you. Even though you were a human, you were always loyal to the Autobot cause, and would love nothing more than to help your new boyfriend save his homeworld.
Bumblebee
He was your protector for a while at that point. You were brave, fearless, and a great leader. You reminded him a lot of Optimus Prime, and he looked up to you.
The yellow Camaro stayed with you all the time. He quicky became the shoulder you would cry on, the person you’d rant to, and the person you’d tell secrets to.
One night, you went on a date with another human, but they stood you up. You were angry, and sad because of it, and went to go vent to Bumblebee about the situation.
Bumblebee was angry that someone could do that to you. You were such a wonderful person in his optics, and the fact that some jerk couldn’t see that was infuriating to him.
After letting you get your emotions out, Bumblebee comforted you as well as he could for the majority of the night. Later on in the evening, Bumblebee suggested that you could date him instead.
It took you a little bit to process what he said, but you ultimately agreed to that. Bumblebee was stunned that you actually agreed to date him. He promptly transformed into his alt-mode and did burnouts in the street. He didn’t care if some Karen called the cops, he was so happy that he found his sparkmate.
Megatron
It took a long time for Megatron to become a friend to you, and even longer for him to see you in any sort of romantic sense. For the longest time he despised humanity and saw them as servants at best, and pests to eradicate at worst.
His outlook on humans changed however when you helped fix him after a devastating battle against Optimus Prime. His medics dealt with the heavy parts that you couldn’t lift, but you worked on the more minute parts of him that needed precision.
After this, time passed, and he slowly began to treat you not like a hostage, but rather an ally and friend. A few years later, his spark wanted more than friendship with you.
One day, as you were milling around the Decepticon base, Soundwave approached you, and told you that Megatron wanted to see you in his throne room, as he wished to speak with you.
In the throne room, Megatron gave a private speech to you. His plans for the future, the aims of the Decepticons, his recently acquired appreciation of humanity, and other such things. What caught you off guard, however, was he ended the speech with asking you if you wanted to date him.
You were shocked and humbled that the leader of the Decepticons wanted to date you, a simple human. You agreed to his request and asked if you could rule the universe by his side. He chuckled and told you, “We’ll see.”
Starscream
The Decepticon air commander fell for you hard. You were the only human he would let touch his flight controls and you showed incredible proficiency as a pilot.
There were times where he would let you fly him for some of your missions and training exercises. In situations where it would call for it, he would take the controls over for you and make sure you would win.
You two bonded rather quickly over your shared love of flight. You two had numerous playful debates on who was the better pilot, and one day you decided to put that to the test.
You were able to use your actual jet and challenged Starscream to a dogfight. His air-to-air skills were unmatched to say the least; almost every time he would outmaneuver you, get a missile lock, and the fight was over. You tried 6 times and he beat you every time.
When you landed, he took you back to the Decepticon base, elated that he won, but didn’t rub it in your face. On the flight back, he asked if you wanted to date him, and was shocked when you agreed.
He silently thanked Primus that you said yes. As a show of joy, he did some aerial acrobatics in his alt-mode with you hollering to slow down, deep down though, you thought it was fun.

Airachnid: “I'll report you to Megatron! All of you! You'll all be slaughtered!” Autobot Starscream: “You're really gonna tell Megatron that you allowed Autobots to infiltrate a highly-secure facility and escape from right under your careful watch? *inhales sharply* Doesn't sound like a wise thing to do, Airachnid!~” (Boops her nose!) Arcee: “So, do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut. That will be all.” 💙

thingie i wrote about a tf au i mentioned a while back 😐👍 thanks to my pals on discord who had to hear me prattle on about this. questions welcome. etc.
helllooo.....SARtobots
the autobot gang (optimus hound bee jazz prowl ratchet and skids) are a team of rescue vehicles sent down to earth alongside cybertronian drones to help rescue people. optimus is a first responder/fire truck, ratchet is an old hippy ambulance, prowl stays at the base as their intell guy, hes a pre established package deal with jazz, who is a search and rescue copter, bee is a hardened foot soldier/scout, skids is a scientist interested in humanity, hound is our pov character, a rough and tumble upstart.
megatron is also planetside with his team. megatron is a keenly loyal general to straxus, the leader of the decepticons, soundwave is his long suffering 2ic, astrotrain is the strong silent type...he does whatever hes told, but he has a bit of a soft spot, seeing earths technology as wildlife to be respected, starscream is starscream, he has some history with bumblebee, making it his goal to snuff out the scout personally! thundercracker is hounds counterpart, and stars protégé. theyre on earth in search of devastator, a lost combiner megatron is convinced will be the secret weapon that wins the war for straxus. nevermind that the constructicons are scattered across the planet after being hurtled across space a kajillion years ago...and wont be too keen on battle once theyre reactivated...
so the cons and bots butt heads on earth, ignorant to the larger war until word gets out that the prime, sentinel, has killed straxus, causing an immediate power vacuum and knocking the decepticons off balance. good news for optimus' team right? well...
sentinel sent them to earth as an invasion! hes using those drones i mentioned to strip earth of its energy as a last surge to squash the decepticons and win the war. and who cares if optimus' team gets caught in the destruction? cant make an omelet without destroying a few nameless autobots right?
(hey i couldnt find a place to fit this but alpha trion is the real leader of the autobots. hes more of a figurehead though)
well at the same time, megatron learns that straxus has been murdered. before he can get it in his head to get revenge for his fallen leader, megatron learns frm his source that straxus was killed after going to alpha trion with peace talks. his leader, who megatron has been devoted to for millions of years...gave up! well megatron dismisses it as propaganda. hes going to kill sentinel prime.
the issue here is that the autobots are the only one with a ship...and those drones going haywire arent exactly helping things, bc theyve begun to attack anything that threatens them indiscriminately. so...the only solution is to aid the autobots in disposing of them, in return for use of their ship.
megatron and optimus come to a shaky truce, that no ones really happy with, besides maybe tc and hound, with their already budding friendship. bumblebee and starscream are like lowkey trying to sabotage it, until they realize they make a pretty good team. to their horror. for example. megatron, for his part, respects his side of the deal, trusting optimus to do the same. he slowly comes to turn that loyalty he had for straxus onto prime, who isnt exactly sure what to do with it--hes no soldier!
of course, they also have to work together to get the ship back online as well, since it was kicked offline back when sentinel activated the drones. thats...pretty much where im at atm. also i think shockwave is megatrons source on cybertron. loyal in any universe baby.

Could I request headcannons of starscream meeting a human he (reluctantly) feels a deep (platonic) relationship with?
Platonic Headcanons with (G1) Starscream, who has a relationship/friendship with Human Reader—albeit reluctantly:
{The way the two of you met wasn’t really the best- you got captured by the Trine—Megatron figured he could get something from Optimus by using a human—you, as a hostage, and made Starscream watch over you.}
{He’s pretty confused as he’s watching you- since you don’t really seem all that nervous/scared, and just talk to the Seeker pretty casually until the Autobots arrive and manage to save you.}
{He swears he’s noticed you several times after that- sometimes during fights between the Autobots, and sometimes during more relaxed moments. He isn’t sure if you’re actually with the Autobots, though—he just knows they wanted to save you that one time.}
{Eventually, the two of you finally start talking- its just you two, Starscream had left the ‘Cons current base and stumbled across you—who’d just been going out for a walk from boredom. That boredom is gone pretty quickly.}
{He’s not sure why, but every now and then, he keeps coming back to visit you- the two deciding on a place to meet-up. The two of you just discuss whatever- and you do get a bit of the Seeker ranting/venting every now and then- mostly about Megatron.}
{Speaking of Megatron... every now and then, he actually likes to tell you some of his plans that he has for the mech. You don’t really know if any of these ideas are going to work, but you still listen, at least.}
{He keeps visiting you, but he refuses to think of it as a friendship. No, he’s not befriending a human, he’s just talking to you- you’re a bit more pleasant than some of the other ‘Cons. Especially more than Megatron and Soundwave.}
{No matter what you ask him—if you ask him—he’s still not going to claim that it’s a friendship—but you and his Trine-Mates assume otherwise, especially when, down the line, you three notice that he’s slowly starting to get a bit protective of you.}
{You protected him once from Megatron—or at least attempted to—the mech is still quite larger than you, which surprised both of them.}
{Among other things that the two of you do or talk about, every now and then, he’ll tell you about something that he’s trying to work on (an invention), with you sitting there and listening patiently—sometimes even watching.}
