(Purple Haze aka Lil Bakkpage) I linked up w/ the homey Purple Haze around fall of 2016. We clicked immediately from not just a musical perspective but a mental one as well. Dude is hella humble and hands down one of the best rappers to come out of my hometown (#’s don’t lie and he gets the most plays out of any hip-hop artist from Melbourne / Brevard County, Florida.) Since 2 friends of mine mutually decided to close a studio we once ran I quit paying attention to a lot of ‘rappers’ from my area b/c I kept hearing wack music and figured what little ‘rap scene’ Brevard had would die eventually.. that is until I heard Purp.. After being introduced to his music I ended up reaching out for the simple fact that artist of his caliber are hella rare where I’m from (the way he takes his craft seriously to make sure his audio is mixed right, to his influences such as the legendary Mac Dre*R.I.P.* and his choice of beat selection; any DJ/Producer such as myself could tell he’s got what it takes + he’s not a biter or swagger jacker) *despite the fact he had/has ‘purp’ in his name wayyyy before all these other kids started putting in their rap alias* We got throwed and vibed out in the studio soon after meeting and decided we would eventually work on a project sometime in the future; I believe/hope that day comes but life happens and as grown men, we got our own shit to handle and just been grinding taking care of our personal/individual endeavors... Anyways check out one of his latest / one of my personal favorite recent tracks “Right Bakk” produced by ZtheSavage. Purp delivers a laid back flow at the same time being low key aggressive over an ethereal/dark sounding trap beat. With a catchy chorus and unique yet lyrical delivery/flow it’s hard to not jam out to this banger...  Purp blesses the track with free game so if you’re a lame take notes!!!
