Just some headcanons on what I think they would be like as boyfriends ♡

• he admires how you don’t fear him, and that you instead seek him out, treating him as you would anyone else

• it’s so peaceful, and the chances of people interrupting you are slim, so he enjoys taking the time to spend with you

• please listen to his rants about gargoyles

• if you do, and can remember what he says about them, he’ll fall even harder for you

• just the fact you’re trying makes him unbelievably happy

• ice cream dates!!

• two things he enjoys at the same time; you, and ice cream

• given that he is a heir apparent to the throne, he will warn you about the responsibilities you’ll have to deal with in the future because you’re dating him

• holds you in his arms all the time, which is incredibly comforting given his tall stature

• will let you touch his horns, but they are sensitive so be gentle

• finds your compliments endearing, but if you called him cute or something sweet like that, he may malfunction for a minute

• will want you to get a tamagotchi as well so Roaring Drago can have a friend!!

• you guys take care of them together like they’re your children

• nobody would dare to mess with you. period.

• Malleus is protective of you and he makes that very clear

• arguments don’t really happen that much, but if they do it’s not explosive and usually can be resolved easily by just talking it out

• most of the time it’s probably caused by miscommunication

• will often pay you random visits at Ramshackle

• would absolutely MELT if you made sure to invite him to things

• that means the world to him

• Lilia adores you so much, and was very much a wingman in helping you and Malleus get together

• he’ll make sure both of you guys are happy in the relationship and are being treated right

• Silver doesn’t have much of an opinion of your relationship, he trusts Malleus’ judgement

• Sebek… has very mixed feelings about you

• on one hand, he’s appalled that Malleus would allow himself to love a “lowly human”

• would definitely show you his dragon form if you wanted him to

• he would bend over backwards to make anything you wished for to come true

• even if you want something practically impossible, he will somehow make it happen

• would love for you to meet his grandmother, but understands how intimidating it would be for you, so he’s willing to wait until you become more comfortable with the idea of entering a royal family

• loves telling you stories

• and listening to anything you say

• every word that comes out of your mouth he will cherish beyond a doubt

• he will research any of your interests, and actively ask you questions about it so he can hear you talk more about them

• over all, Malleus is the type of boyfriend who will love you deeply and immensely ♡

• chaotic

• will actively try to jumpscare you because he finds your reactions amusing and adorable

• loves surprises

• would always try to cook you food and give it to you, but thankfully Silver (a literal godsend) will always swoop in and save you from having to eat his father’s cooking

• Upside down kisses!!

• Lilia loves doing those because he gets to catch you off guard while also getting a kiss

• to him it’s perfect

• also loves to pepper your face with kisses

• and pinch your cheeks

• is totally fine if you do it back to him as well

• on that note, he doesn’t mind PDA at all

• also lowkey enjoys how it embarrasses Silver (and Sebek)

• he will sing to you

• if you can’t sleep, you’ll get to hear one of his infamous lullabies

• he will also play pranks on you a lot

• would love it if you gamed with him

• not at all a jealous person

• he’s been alive long enough to understand that he shouldn’t feel that way — he loves you and you love him, and that’s all that matters

• if someone did try to flirt with you, he would be more amused than anything else (unless ofc you were uncomfortable)

• Silver and Sebek are usually the ones to stop anybody else’s advances on you

• he will tell you stories of things he’s been through

• sometimes they’re so far fetched that you doubt he’s being serious, but he always is

• if someone talked bad about you or messes with you, Diasomnia will band together to take care of them

• Lilia would corner the perpetrator, condemn them for their actions/words, and then let Silver and Sebek take over, under the pretense of letting them train their knightly skills

• he would probably teach you at least basic self defense so he knows you can be safe even if he’s not around

• you’re seen as the other parent in Diasomnia… even though chances are you’re significantly younger than them ( at least Malleus and Lilia)

• he’s amazing at comforting you when you’re upset

• his dad instincts kick in and he’s coddling you in his arms, listening to you and then giving his perspective

• headpats!!

• arguments don’t happen much between you guys because Lilia has a lot of experience and he knows how to avoid such issues

• loves floating by you, and teasing you when you can’t reach something

• Malleus is fond of you because Lilia is the person who has been by his side his whole life, so he’s happy that Lilia has found someone he loves

• Sebek respects you greatly because of how much he respects Lilia — he is nothing less than a gentleman when you’re around

• Silver appreciates you greatly

• at first he was unsure of you (because he only wanted the best for his father), but when he saw the way Lilia looked at you

• he knew just how much you meant to him

• so now Silver will do anything he can to protect you as well

• over all, Lilia would be a very fun and chaotic boyfriend ♡

• such a gentleman

• he’s literally so sweet to you omg

• most of your dates are you guys cuddling, but it’s great because Silver is literally the best cuddled there is

• anytime you sleep by him, it’s the best sleep you’ve ever had

• the fact you don’t judge him for his habit makes him so thankful as well

• the animals that always seem to surround him grow fond of you as well

• he isn’t much of a jealous person because he trusts you immensely

• but that doesn’t mean he likes it when people flirt with you, and so he’ll be by your side in a heartbeat

• sometimes he does get worried though that you might leave him for someone who can always give you their full attention ):

• will teach you how to use a sword if you wanted to

• especially because it helps him feel more comfortable knowing you could defend yourself

• not that he thought you couldn’t before, it just helps reassure him, that’s all

• horseback riding dates!!

• if you’ve never ridden a horse before, that’s okay, he’ll guide you

• he also loves it when you guys ride on one horse together, so you can wrap your arms around his waist with one of his hands resting over yours

• would also love it if you came to watch him in the equestrian club

• if someone talks bad about you or messes with you, they’ll witness one of the rare instances where Silver is genuinely mad

• he will tell them off for how wrong their actions were, and then proceed to make sure you were alright

• on that note, he’s okay at comforting verbally, but amazing at comforting physically

• his hugs are so soft and sweet, and you can feel how much he cares about you

• he doesn’t see the point in PDA, but it’s not uncommon to find you guys napping together out in the open

• his hugs are the best

• always has a soft smile on his face when you’re around or when he talks about you

• Lilia also played wingman for him

• Silver always feels terrible if he fell asleep on accident while you were talking

• but he always reassures you that he was listening to everything you said (which is true)

• will protect you from his father’s cooking

• does everything a gentleman would do

• gives sleepy kisses that are so soft and gentle

• arguments are essentially nonexistent between you two, given that his personality is incredibly calm that it also exudes a sense of calmness to those around him

• that, and you guys make sure to communicate well

• will hold your hand and bring it up to his lips so he can kiss your knuckles

• forehead kisses!!

• he loves it when you play with his hair while he’s sleeping, especially when he can lay his head in your lap

• he will praise you, but not excessively

• Malleus likes you and is happy that you’re simply there for Silver

• Sebek thinks it’s ludicrous for Silver to have a partner when his sole duty should be to protect Malleus

• Sebek will complain about Silver’s lack of dedication to Malleus, but deep down he is glad Silver has found someone he loves

• Lilia absolutely LOVES you

• he’s so happy his son found a person he loves, and is so supportive

• he’s constantly teasing you guys, but he does it out of the goodness of his heart

• will 100% tell embarrassing stories of Silver as a child

• but seriously, he’s happy that Silver has someone else he can rely on

• especially cause he knows Silver’s lifespan isn’t the same as that of the fae…

• he’s glad that he knows Silver will always be happy with you around

• Silver is very happy that you and his father get along

• cause his father means the world to him

• over all, Silver is the sweetest boyfriend you could ever want ♡

• not going to lie, he probably never thought he would date anyone

• because to him his sole purpose was to protect Malleus

• and to be completely honest, that won’t change. Malleus will forever continue to be his main priority

• buuuut he does genuinely care for you (even if he refuses to admit it)

• and will lecture to you about how wonderful Malleus is

• but if will also listen to anything you have to say, no matter what it may be

• refuses to admit he’s a jealous person, and will always make up excuses

• basically he yells at them

• he’ll be extremely happy if you not only listen to his praises of Malleus, but if you also participated in them too (except he may feel the slightest twinge of jealousy)

• Malleus likes you, he just wishes Sebek would give you more attention

• on a similar note, Silver feels bad for you

• he will also roll his eyes at all of Sebek’s antics

• Lilia believes that your presence will help Sebek grow as a person, and is very supportive

• Sebek would love for you to meet his parents, but he would never admit that

• he really admires his mom so her opinion of you would matter quite a bit to him

• he just wants to make sure she also likes you

• with that in mind, Sebek would be a very interesting boyfriend ♡

Most things with Haknyeon aren’t planned, grandiose or romantic. Sometimes, you just take a step forward together, holding each other tight, no questions asked. Much like today-- who would've thought that a Tamagotchi toy evolving would lead you to take the biggest step of your life?

September 2007

A sweet strawberry is placed in between your lips as you lay on the blanket, the sun shining into your eyes making you squint and shield your vision from the scorching beams. You blindly bite into the juicy fruit, enjoying the freshness of it in your mouth, knowing that this might be the last time you can taste the red miracle this year, since fall is quickly approaching despite the warm days of early September.

Your ears are filled with the noises of the birds chirping in the distance, the occasional buzz of a bug flying by your face, and apart from the sounds of nature, also the occasional humming of your boyfriend’s voice and the tech noises of the toy in between his fingers.

“He finally evolved into an adult!” Haknyeon gasps and places the Tamagotchi into your point of vision, shielding you from the view of the cloudy, blue sky. Eyes falling onto the little device, you snicker at the man and nod, looking up from your position in his lap to meet his gaze.

“Stop gendering our child, Hak.”

“I’m pretty sure that when we named him John, we wordlessly agreed on it being a boy,” your boyfriend’s hand drops, the sharp sun once again piercing your gaze when there is nothing making a shadow fall over your face.

“For all we know, John can be a girl.” 

“Y/N-” the man sighs, the slightest tinge of irritation already in his voice. As if the fact that you were both fully grown adults taking care of a toy for children wasn’t strange enough, now you have to argue about the identity of your little animal.

“It’s an it,” you conclude. “I think we can agree on that, can’t we?”

Your boyfriend rolls his eyes, but doesn’t argue with you further. The view of him crossing his arms at his chest and averting his gaze from you has you burst out into laughter– he was clearly upset about something, and you’re fairly certain that this was not the matter.

“What?” you pry, letting out an airy laugh slip from between your lips.

“You didn’t even acknowledge that it evolved,” he peeps, sighing. “But if you don’t care, it’s okay, you can just go back to what you were doing before, which was nothing–”

Now it’s your turn to roll your eyes at the boy, humored with his childishness. Taking his palm into your hand and holding it up in front of your face again, you gaze at the toy in between his fingers and hum in acknowledgement. “It did!” you nod. “Good job. You finally didn’t let it die–”

“Now, that only happened twice–”

“Three times,” you correct him, watching with amusement as your boyfriend sighs again and chews on the inside of his lip, the sight of him from below more entertaining to you than watching the clouds. You know that by the logic of the Solar system, there’s only one sun allowed in this universe– but looking at the sky shielded by your boyfriend’s head, his tan skin glazed in the warm orange hues of the late afternoon, you think he’s the personification of the greatest star itself– for you that is, at least.

“Okay, well, three times. But I’ve got a hold of it now,” he says, nodding to himself. “So that means we can get a real kid now,” he says, face stoic and serious, as if he really meant what just came out of his mouth.

Laughing to yourself, you shake your head in disbelief. “I’m sorry, get what now?” you grin. “I wasn’t aware that I was a part of this deal.”

“You agreed to it, though,” Haknyeon nods, flicking your forehead. “You must have not paid attention again, but we definitely shook hands on it.”

“Wait,” you say, sarcastically humming and brushing your chin, a playful act of being lost deep in thought, “no. I still don’t remember any of that. So as long as you don’t have a written proof with my signature and the date on the bottom, I don’t think we can proceed with this arrangement, Mr Ju. We can, however, settle on getting a dog–”

“So you don’t want children with me?” he asks, looking down at you with big eyes. Thinking that it’s all a part of a joke, you try to play along– going as far as even shaking your head in disapproval.

“Hell no,” you drag out, furrowing your brows in deep unsettlement. “To have a clone of you running around our flat in a few years? That sounds like my worst nightmare,” you hum, snickering to yourself. “Besides, we forgot to buy toilet paper last week. What makes you believe we can take care of another human? Hell, that damn thing died 3 times before it grew into an adult, Hak…” you sigh, the tone of a know-it-all you like to use on him so much whenever you joke around not quite hitting the boy in the right way this time.

“Ah,” he hums, fingers suddenly playing with the strands of your hair sprawled out like the beams of the sun in his lap, his face now shielded with a cloud. Haknyeon chews on the inside of his cheek for a second before a bashful voice reaches your ears, making you look up to meet his eye. “I think it wouldn’t hurt to at least try…”

Noticing the playful sparkle in his eye completely gone, your heart stammers, skipping a beat. Stomach dropping, you jump to rescue. “Wait… you thought I was being serious?” 

Haknyeon shrugs, pouting for a second before a rosy tint flashes over his cheeks. “You sounded convincing…” he says, laughing. “Besides, it’s completely up to you if you wanna have kids or not, I was just a little taken aback–”

“Stop being silly,” you say, shaking your head. “I should stop being sarcastic all the time, it’s doing a lot of damage recently.”

“Like when MB!Y/N thought you were being serious when you told her it was embarrassing to cry on her wedding day?” Haknyeon laughs, remembering the memory from only a few weeks ago.

“Exactly!” you agree. “I still feel bad for that, by the way. Now I know why nobody liked me in high school–”

“That’s not true,” Haknyeon denies. “You keep forgetting the fact that I had the hugest crush on you, Y/N.”

“Well, you were always very subtle about it.”

“I was shy.”

“I think you were just trying to be cool,” you say, poking the inside of your cheek with your tongue, taunting the boy.

“Well, it worked, didn’t it?” he laughs, moving his hand up to your head and cradling it, going as far as gently scratching your scalp. “Back to the topic at hand, though. Do you… Have you ever thought of us having kids together?”

Looking up at the man you’ve been dating for the last 4 years, watching as his face morphs into pure wonder, your heart sores when you stare at his features for long enough– even after all this time. You bet you see a hint of sunlight reflecting in his orbs whenever he pays you a look, and the apples of his cheeks catch a light strawberry color whenever you compliment him still, even after so many years. It’s kind of adorable, really– you two have always been an open book, honest with each other– but neither of you were really big on romantic gestures or big confessions.

You two do everything casually. You don’t tend to make a big deal out of things. Somehow, your relationship naturally progresses through all the crucial stages without paying it a second thought. Sure, you two have been on dates– the title wasn’t established for a long time when you first started going out, though. For you and Haknyeon, you were just two people hanging out and enjoying each other’s company. 

The title of your relationship gained an official name as naturally as the seasons change– after many afternoons spent together doing various things, Haknyeon just asked you if you wanted to be his girlfriend. You agreed, no questions asked. It felt casual– it fit like a puzzle to the dynamic of your energies. You didn’t need big words or gestures. In the mundane reality of your lives, you two always had each other– without taking each other for granted, you both somehow always knew you were a given to each other. Both of you always knew you had the other person to fall back on– your security, your other half. There was no need for big words in a connection like yours. It just felt right. 

And yes, you do talk about everything. Most things, at least. But somehow, the topic of having children together hasn’t really come up seriously until now– only in passing, mentioning it as a matter of course for most relationships. You don’t blame Haknyeon for getting so serious at this moment.

“Yeah,” you say, voice soft and gentle. “Come on, Hak. I imagine spending the rest of my life with you, what makes you think having children isn’t in the equation?” you say, choosing to be serious with him for once. 

“I dunno,” he shrugs. “I mean, you were kinda right about the toilet paper thing, though–”

“I know, I know…” you sigh, “but I bet the oxytocin will get the job done.”

“Look at you using big biology words so suddenly,” Haknyeon jokes, making you roll your eyes and flick his chin.

“Be serious for once!” you laugh out, making the boy grin at your little outburst.

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry,” Haknyeon says, the pad of his thumb suddenly glazing over your cheekbone. The touch is tender, managing to cross the words always somehow left unsaid, yet always somehow understood– your brains and hearts on the same wavelength, buzzing at the same frequency– before your boyfriend casually drags out: “That’s good to hear, babe, ‘cause we’d make the prettiest babies. Would be a shame to let the good genes go to waste.”

“Tell me that,” you confidentially whisper. “They’d be mega smart too. They’d get that after me, obviously–”

“Hey!”

“I’m joking, I’m joking,” you laugh, shielding yourself from the hands of your boyfriend already reaching to give you a playful flick to your forehead again. “I do think we should wait a while before having children, though.”

“Not that I don’t agree with you, but why?” 

Hands blindly reaching for another strawberry to chew on, you watch your boyfriend easily pluck the fruit out of the basket and hold it up against your lips, helping you with your task. Thinking over your answer, picking out your words carefully, you chew and stare at the boy as he helps himself to a strawberry himself, the two of you gazing at each other in a fond silence.

“I think we skipped a few steps. We live together already, so that’s a start, but I’d like to get married before having kids,” you shrug, licking your lips off the watery sweetness, watching your boyfriend take in the new information.

Haknyeon hums, nodding to himself. “Makes sense,” he admits. “And when do you see us doing that?” he asks, genuine interest coating his saccharine voice.

“Not really sure,” you admit, snickering. “I haven’t thought about it much until now.”

“Hm,” Haknyeon hums in thought, the two of you staring at each other, chewing on your strawberries. There isn’t much contemplating behind your boyfriend’s words before he says them, but nonetheless, it doesn’t even catch you off guard– much like not many things do in your relationship. Somehow, you’re always perfectly synced. “Now seems like a good time, doesn’t it?”

“I mean… it doesn’t seem like a bad time, that’s for sure,” you shrug.

“We’ve been dating for a long time,” Haknyeon says, as if to further strengthen his argument. “Hell, I can’t believe Eric managed to get married before me.”

“Are you only saying this because your younger friend got married last month?”

“No,” Haknyeon says, although he sounds a little unconvincing. “But it certainly was a wake up call, in a way.”

“A wake up call?” you repeat, big eyes staring into your boyfriend’s soul.

“Yeah,” he agrees, “kinda realized when I didn’t see you catch the bouquet. A part of me was secretly hoping you would.”

“Stop being cheesy, Hak. That’s not like you,” you say, although there is something sweet, thick like honey, swirling in your stomach at his unusually rich wording. The male laughs in your face, enjoying the way he has you flustered with his confession.

“Would you do it, though?” he asks, grinning.

“What? Marry you?” you ask, raising your brows at him. “As in… right now?” you clarify, watching as the male purses his lips at you, seemingly thinking about it for a heartbeat.

“I mean, not right now, because we’d have to arrange the wedding and all, but yeah. Like, as soon as we can, is what I mean,” he says, dragging a stray hair out of your forehead.

Staring at him for a second, contemplating your next words, you feel your heart squeezing with something akin to excitement, your fingertips tingling with the reality upon you. “Ju Haknyeon… is this you asking me to marry you?”

“Yeah,” Haknyeon nods, shrugging. The whole situation is absurd– no one is down on their knee, no ring is present, no big events or confessions are taking place. Yet, the moment still feels perfect– it flows naturally into the trajectory of your life, makes total sense in the grand scheme of your relationship, happens unexpectedly, but doesn’t quite shock you in the tiniest way. It’s just another afternoon for the both of you– doesn’t matter that you’re taking perhaps the biggest decision of your whole life.

You don’t contemplate for even a second.

“Okay,” you say, watching the boy’s eyes light up.

“Okay,” he repeats, nodding. “Let’s do it, then.”

“Let’s do it,” you say, watching the boy beam down at you just like the sun, something in the air changing, yet, the two of you still stay the same.

Haknyeon takes your hand into his, opening your fist before he slips the keyring off the Tamagotchi onto your ring finger like it’s a promise, pressing the toy into the palm of your hand and making you hold it tight. His hand stays on yours when he leans down, lips crashing against yours, offering you all his love in the simple action. He tastes like strawberries and the past 4 years of joy. 

Faces close to each other when you pull away, Haknyeon talks confidentially into your ear. “We can go ring shopping tomorrow.”

“You better buy me a very expensive one–” you joke, cut off by your own laughter as the male gently bites into the tip of your nose, teasing you and making you frown, pushing him away with gentle force against his chest, right where his heart is.

Most things with Haknyeon aren’t planned, grandiose or romantic. Sometimes, you just take a step forward together, holding each other tight. You love each other in a casual way– the same way you know that when you wake up, there will be sun, and when you go to sleep at night, there will always be stars– you know that as long as you're alive, you and Haknyeon will always have each other. That’s the calm way in which you two love.

It was easier when your friends were there with you, to keep you company and distract you from everything, but the moment they were gone, you were left alone to deal with the sick feeling in your stomach.

You knew you sounded ridiculous. Getting this upset over a guy you’d hardly even spoken to in the last few years, over a guy you’d only ever pined over from afar, it was all very crazy sounding. But, that was just looking at your relationship with Yeonjun from a surface level. If you looked at it on a deeper level, your sadness that may have looked childish before might start to make more sense.

It’s funny, really. When you first met Yeonjun, when Beomgyu first introduced you to his older, richer friend, you were not a fan of him. The first day you’d met him, the first thing he said was, “Sorry I’m late, fencing classes ran longer than I thought!”, and that was enough to convince you that Choi Yeonjun was nothing more than a shallow, spoiled daddy’s boy. That was the day you learned not to judge a book by its cover. 

You didn’t see him that often, but every time you did, you slowly started to see that there was more to Choi Yeonjun than meets the eye. He was nice, like, really nice. The kind of nice that made you think maybe men weren’t completely doomed. He was also really funny, and one of the only people in your group of friends besides Beomgyu that could make your stomach hurt from laughing. The thing you started to like most about Yeonjun, though, was how much he cared for those around him.

Most people wouldn’t have noticed unless they looked hard enough, but you definitely noticed. In an offhand comment, Beomgyu mentioned how he’d always wanted a Tamagotchi when he was younger, and seven months later, Yeonjun gave him one for his birthday. When Soobin would start rambling on about whatever anime he was watching as of late, Yeonjun would pretend to be annoyed by the subject, but he still listened nonetheless. Yeonjun was, overall, a good guy.

Your crush didn’t start, however, until your senior year of high school.

Graduation was quickly approaching, and as the year was coming to an end, so was your time in band. Playing the flute was a random little thing you had picked up in middle school, and followed through into your high school years. Even though you never had any plans of pursuing it, the fact that it was all coming to an end was very bittersweet. 

So, there you were, at your final recital where you would say goodbye to band forever. You, Beomgyu and Jeongin were hiding behind the stage’s curtains and poking your heads out to get a good look at your audience. Sieun and Heeseung were there, which was unsurprising but sweet nonetheless. Beomgyu’s brother had shown up, and a few of Jeongin’s other friends, but none of that was surprising.

What was surprising was the fact that Choi Yeonjun was there. Choi Yeonjun, who had graduated a few years prior, and definitely had a million things going on had made the time to come to your recital. You weren’t sure why your face grew hot when Beomgyu pointed him out in the audience, and even though he was all the way in the back with Soobin, you were still able to make out his face in the darkness.

Once the performance was over, you, Jeongin and Beomgyu practically ran off the stage and into the hallway where you could greet everyone who came to see you. Sieun must have read your mind, racing ahead of all of the rest of the audience and wrapping you into a hug with so much force you nearly fell over onto the hallway floor. Heeseung wasn’t far behind, reluctantly complimenting you and surprisingly he didn’t fight you when you gave him a hug to say thank you.

Your crush on Choi Yeonjun started when you pulled away from the hug and saw him standing a few feet away with a great big bouquet and a warm smile etched into his lips. Once you’d finished catching up with your friends and trying not to melt under the swarm of compliments, it was finally time for you to address the elephant in the room. You found yourself shy around him, waiting patiently for him to approach you, because how embarrassing would it be if you found out the flowers weren’t for you.

“Hi.” He greeted you with a soft smile, appearing in front of you. 

Heat erupted in your face. “Hi…” You said slowly.

“Um, here, these are for you.” He held the bouquet out towards you, and you could feel your eyes grow the size of saucers.

“For me? Why?” You asked him, and hesitantly took the flowers from him.

He shrugged. “I just thought, you know… It’s your last performance, and that means you deserve to have some flowers, right?” He gave you that cute, cheesy grin that he always wore, only this time you felt your stomach flip at the sight. “You did really good, by the way.” It was in that moment, when you raised the flowers to your nose to give them a sniff, and your gaze met his own, that you realized you were in trouble.

Of course, the moment was ruined by Beomgyu butting his way in and demanding to know why he didn’t get any flowers, and started to argue with the older boy. But, you clung onto those flowers for the rest of the night, even when you took the picture that sat on your entertainment center now. 

The second your door shut, leaving you all alone, you immediately found your gaze snapping to the picture. You had so many regrets. You regretted clamming up after that day, and freaking out whenever he was around. You regretted your disdain you once held for him, because maybe you would have realized your feelings sooner if it weren’t for it. You mostly regretted never telling him how you felt. Even if he didn’t return your feelings, and you just ended up looking like an idiot, at least you could have said he knew.

But, it was too late for that now, wasn’t it? He had a girlfriend. A rich, beautiful girlfriend. Why would he leave a girl like that for a girl like you? Maybe… Just maybe… This was a sign for you to move on. That was crazy, right? In what world were you ready to move on from the crush that had consumed you for the last several years. You figured you needed a few weeks at least to wallow in your own self pity before you could even think of anyone else. 

Or maybe you just needed a distraction. 

As if on cue, you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket. With your brows pulled tightly together, you dug into your jeans and raised your phone, and your mouth fell open when you saw the caller ID. For some reason, as though he could read your mind, Mark Lee was calling you. Why on Earth was he calling you?! You had completely forgotten to respond to his message and basically ghosted him, you figured most guys would have given up by now.

But, it turned out Mark Lee was nothing if not persistent.

You were unsure if you should answer, at first, staring at the phone with wide eyes. Did you really want to talk to him right now? You were supposed to be wallowing! But, there was also that overwhelming sense of loneliness that was currently consuming you, and the thought that it might be nice to not be alone had crossed your mind. But, the phone was still ringing, and soon the call would drop, which meant you had to make up your mind. So, without thinking, you swiped your thumb across the screen and held the phone up to your ear. 

“...uh, hello?” You answered the phone with uncertainty, crossing your arm across your stomach.

“Oh! You actually answered! Hyuck kept telling me you wouldn’t, but I told him you would! Yo, now he owes me five dollars. Uh, anyway! This really isn't a great way to start a phone call, is it?” He rambled on the other line, and you couldn’t help the small giggle that escaped your throat as you listened to him.

“No, not really. But--”

“I knew it! I’m sorry, let me start over.” He cleared his throat, and you raised your eyebrows in anticipation. “Yo, it’s Mark. What’s up?” He asked in what you assumed was the coolest tone he could muster up.

You bit back your laughter. “Uh, hi, Mark. Not much, my friends just left. So now I’m just standing here.” You answered back, and you heard him sigh on the other line--probably out of relief that you’d chosen not to ridicule him. A part of you had a feeling he got made fun of a lot.

“Cool, cool… Uh, you’re probably wondering why I’m calling, right?” 

You nodded, although he couldn’t see it. “Just a little bit.” 

“Well, I hope I’m not, like, totally overstepping here, but I saw your Tweet, and you sounded sad, so I thought I’d try to cheer you up.” 

Your lips grew into a smile. You couldn’t believe it. You’d basically ghosted him since the party, and yet he still paid enough attention to notice you were upset, and cared about you enough to call you. Maybe Heeseung was an idiot--well, not maybe, you knew he was an idiot--but more importantly maybe he was wrong. Maybe a guy like Mark was exactly what you needed at that moment. 

“Oh. Really?” You asked quietly, thankful nobody was in your apartment to see the blush creeping onto your cheeks. “Do you stalk my Twitter or something?” You teased him.

“What? N-No! It just popped up on my timeline! I swear, I don’t stalk you!” He once again began to ramble, and somehow it helped to ease your crazed nerves. You were laughing softly once again, and he froze mid sentence. “Oh. You were joking.” 

“I was joking.” You replied matter of factly. “It’s sweet, really. Thank you. I’m glad you called, otherwise I would have probably been at the bottom of a tub of Chunky Monkey by now.” You mumbled, glancing over at your freezer where the ice cream Sieun and Jeongin had brought was waiting for you.

“Damn, that bad, huh?” He asked.

“Yes, that bad.” You echoed. “You know, I--”

There was a knock on your window, and you threw your phone onto the floor with a yelp. The sudden sound had startled you so bad, for a second you thought you’d had a heart attack right then and there. But, after a few moments of heavy breathing with your hand pressed against your chest, you realized you were fine. Especially when you realized there was only one person in the whole world that would be at your window. 

A pair of glowing green eyes stared back at you as you slowly bent down to pick up your phone, then delicately held it up against your ear. “--you okay?!” You heard Mark freaking out on the other line, which you assumed meant he heard you scream.

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine. Hey, can I call you back? I have to check on something.” You muttered, keeping your eyes trained on the window.

“Oh, sure. I gotta ask, you’re not going to ghost me again, right?” He asked, but you barely heard him due to how distracted you were.

“Hm? Oh, yeah, definitely not. I’ll call you later, I swear it.” You told him quickly, trying your hardest to end the call smoothly.

“Okay, okay, cool. Talk to you later, Y/N.”

“Yep, bye!” Without giving him a chance to keep you on the line any longer, you ended the call, tossed your phone onto your couch and rushed over to the window. You practically threw your sliding door open. “What the hell are you doing here?!” 

“Well hello to you too, kitten.” Chat Noir cooed at you, reaching up to poke your nose. You swatted his hand away.

“Don’t call me that.” You grumbled. “So, what? You’re going to talk to me again?” 

He grinned down at you, like he found your anger amusing. “Aww, did you miss me? Sorry, love, I got busy. Are you going to let me in?” 

You narrowed your eyes. “You still haven’t told me why you’re here.”

“Oh, right! That!” He laughed nervously. “I thought we could get that last measurement. And--!” You hadn’t noticed before, but he was holding a grocery bag, which he dug into to pull out a small red container. “Look what I found! Kit Kat ice cream! I figured we could share it, and watch a movie, and spill all of our deepest darkest secrets to each other~!”

You blinked at the gift. First, you had Mark Lee fawning over you, and now here was the Chat Noir, fawning over you as well--not Ladybug you, but you you. Still, neither of them were the one you wanted most to give you some attention. 

“Hm. I’m down for the measurements and ice cream parts. I’ll pass on the rest.” You smiled at him, taking the container from his hands and turning back to your apartment. He was hot on your heels, gently closing the door behind him. 

“Are you sure? You know, lots of people would die for that offer.” He told you matter of factly.

You set the ice cream down on your counter, raising an eyebrow at him. “Oh, really? Would they?”

He nodded, leaning across the counter from you. “Mhm. They would be like, ‘oh, Chat Noir! I thought you would never ask! Now let’s kiss and get married forever!’”

“You should go ask one of them, then.” You responded, opening up a drawer to pull out two spoons. 

“But I don't want to watch a movie with them! I want to watch one with you!” He whined, and although it was incredibly childish and off putting, it still caused heat to rise in your cheeks.

“Why?” You asked lowly, avoiding his gaze as you slid a spoon across the counter to him.

He went quiet, watching you as you dipped your own spoon into the ice cream and brought it to your lips. “I don’t know. I just like spending time with you, I guess.” He said, and you noticed his usual playful tone was gone. 

“No offense, kitten, but you barely know me.” You laughed, gently nudging the ice cream towards him. 

“But that’s the whole point, Y/N! I want to!”

Oh, god. Had Jeongin and Sieun been right all along? Was that the reason he freaked out and left before? What were the odds that you’d rejected him as Ladybug, and he chose Y/N to redirect his feelings to? You should have been really annoyed, you should have hated the idea of him crushing on you once again, but you didn’t. 

You let out a soft sigh, drumming your fingers against the countertop as you tried to form some sort of response. You could feel his eyes trained on you, observing you as he patiently waited for you to say something.

“Okay. Fine. Let’s watch a movie.”

Tamagotchi Pix review!

Yes, finally! Not only did I get the model I wanted for over a year, but also I've finished taking care of the first generation and discovering all the functions. That's why I've decided to make this review post, where I explain what I like and dislike about it.

General score: 9/10

Design

I really like the shell design. At first, I was a bit disappointed with the simple faceplates (I still think they could've gone with something more complex), but now I see that this design matches the rest well.

I got the Nature shell and I must admit, this might be my favourite one. They all look nice, but there is something special to me about green Tamas. The thick plastic of the faceplate gives a bit of depth to the pattern and the gradient is nice. I also love the eggshell-shaped cap used for taking photos. Top 10 designs - super cute. I slightly miss the old Tamagotchi logo (the connection one), but here the simple font matches the rest better than the Connection one would.

The touch buttons look very nice. I got the second wave Pix, which means improved reactivity. I don't have problems with the buttons at all. However, my fingers are quite small, and I'm used to being precise (I work with electronics.) I'm not sure if this is the best design for children - I have no idea if it's possible to break the buttons by pressing on them too hard. Generally, I love the change. The buttons are fast and I have no issues with the swiping motion, another cool feature.

The screen is set quite shallow in the shell, so there might be problems with it getting easily scratched.

The most characteristic element of the Pix model is the ability to take photos. At the same time, it's probably the most questionable one to me.

2. Unique mechanics

The camera works fast, however the colour recognition (needed for cooking) is pretty poor. It has problems especially with warm colours. Its favourite shade to see is grey lol. That might be annoying when you're trying to cook, aka make new food from the colours you collect from the photos. Also, you can use colours to make new items and furniture - this is an amazing feature and I'm all for being able to customise my stuff.

Activating the toy by clicking the top shell is super cool, however there is one problem - it makes travelling with Pix quite difficult. I see many possibilities for the toy to get damaged. Also, the top shell might be accidentally pressed while in the pocket/bag - then the touch buttons will pick up on even slight presses. I was travelling with my Pix on the very day I activated it, and let me tell you what - you need to be careful with it. I highly recommend getting some sort of cover for it, either silicone or knitted one.

The swiping motion on the touch buttons is used quite a lot. In my version, there are no problems with the sensitivity, however I see how troublesome it can be in the first wave, where the buttons didn't function that well.

The last feature worth mentioning is the QR code system. It allows you to download additional food, accessories, wallpapers and furniture. It's a quick and amazing system. Mr. Blinky made a whole website where you can find all the stuff you want. Make sure to give it a try!

3. Characters and growth cycle

The QR codes are also used for connection with other Tamas. To be fair, Pix is a self-sufficient toy. You don't need two of them to have fun and connect - the QR codes can be photographed and posted online, so everyone can meet your pet. I love this feature - it allows you to briefly meet people from all of around the world. My pet once played with a Tama from Italy!

I like the characters available. There are quite a lot of them. I think that the new characters are sweet. Pix introduced Weeptchi (in Japan he was introduced in Smart) and gave a global debut to Himetchi (she was available on iD L 15th anniversary edition in Japan.) There are a few others, and they all look sweet.

An interesting thing is that with every next generation, you can obtain one of 3 eggs (blue, pink and green.) The evolution of your character is dependent on it - Pix brings back the "families", grouping characters by their personalities. Blue is Smart, pink is Charming and green is Creative. In my first generation, I got a green egg (it's based on the quiz you answer at the beginning, while setting your name etc.) However, the egg colour is not the final decisive variable in your pet's development. Despite having a Creative egg, I ended up with Mametchi, a Smart character. It's probably because I would give him the Science Project item many times.

Pix has an additional life stage connected to jobs. Each character can obtain one of 3 jobs. They can train for them as adults, in a special room. The room you get is dependent on how you raise your character - how you play with it, how much you explore the world using the camera and how much you cook. I like this idea, though I slightly miss the regular secret characters from the older models. It's a feature that's always been present in Tamagotchi and I hope it will make a comeback soon. Jobs are cute and personalised, the games are fun and give you Gotchi Points as well.

My biggest problem with the growth cycle is how fast it is. I have this problem with all new models - I wish the stages lasted longer than only one day. To me, it's not enough to enjoy the younger characters, which I often like a lot.

4. Games

There are a lot of games on Pix. And I love it. The previous models were disappointing due to very few games, even though they certainly would be able to support more. I think that Bandai took note from complaints about slightly boring gameplay and decided to make a model, with which you can't get bored. There is always something to do. Some games give you Gotchi Points, some simply raise the Friendship Meter.

The arcade games change every day. It's cool, like a fresh breeze. But worry not, the choice isn't enormous (since many other games are either in the room or the jobs), so your favourite themed games will be back soon.

5. Aesthetics

Pix looks cool on the outside, but the real beauty in on the screen. This model introduced the new, super-smooth animations. The character moves on the screen so smoothly, that sometimes it might be hard to take good photos lol.

The colours are vivid, the rooms are super detailed and there are many wallpapers to choose from (and download.) You can put 2 pieces of furniture in the room as well. This simple customisation adds a lot to the aesthetics.

You can give your Tama accessories, some of which you can colour yourself.

There is a garden. Every 3 days, I believe, you can obtain fruit from the tree there. You just need to go outside at least once a day to water it.

From time to time, some characters will come to visit your pet. However, I haven't encountered the annoying animations from Meets (they were one of my least elements of that model.) The walking animations are quick and can be easily skipped, the same goes for dialogues.

6. Battery life

The first wave Pix had a big problem with poor battery life. The second wave improved it greatly - I've been running my Pix for a while on pretty cheap batteries and it's still doing well.

My honest recommendation is investing in AAA rechargeable batteries. They last longer and are environmental-friendly. And they will save you up a lot of money.

7. Conclusion

All in all, I'm loving Pix and I recommend it to everyone, no matter if you're an old collector or if it's your first contact with the Tamagotchi franchise. It's a great gift for someone you want to introduce to the world of Tamagotchi. However, I highly recommend getting the second wave Pix due to the improved buttons and battery life.

Some big news on my front! I don’t post a whole lot here usually but I am getting a new puppy in April! He’s a long haired chihuahua and will be named Tamagotchi.... He’s a stupidly sweet baby and I absolutely enjoyed meeting him and his breeder recently. This has been something I’ve been planning for ages and now he’s finally going to be a reality! 

He has all his necessary supplies, BUT, I am sharing an amazon wishlist for things because it’s essentially his baby shower. I have the whole month to finish getting ready and I want everything to be as perfect as possible for when he comes home. Most of these are also things that would be handy for my older dog Frisk, as he is aging and needs more help with things like his dental care and joint supplements! But nothing on here is 100% necessary and I will still be buying a lot of these myself at some point in the near future.

Shark x Reader

Heading into the hideouts kitchen/dining room, you could immediately see that Shark and Piranha were up to something. They were giggling like a group of fourth graders, over something in a shopping bag. "What's up, guys?" You ask, pulling out a chair at the table and sitting down. "Webs took us to this family-owned market downtown, and they had a bunch of cool aperitivos!" Piranha exclaims happily. You tilt your head, slightly confused. "Uhh, it means snacks." Shark translates, and you nod.

"Sweet, what did y'all pick up?" You ask, beginning to go through the bag. "Uh, we got a soda called Ramune, some Shrimp crackers, and some Pocky." Shark says. You nod, popping open one of the sodas. "HUUHUH WE CAN DO THE POCKY GAME!" Piranha exclaims happily. "The what?" You ask. Piranha jumps up onto the table and begins explaining the game, hands waving the wolf time. "Webs got me hooked on these k-dramas, there like Telenovelas, but all the actors are Korean." He exclaims. You only nod, waiting for him to go on. "In the most recent episode of 'Our journey to romance', Chae-Wong confesses to her crush via the Pocky game. That's when two people eat from different sides of the Pocky, until one chickens out, or they kiss!" Piranha says, falling over dramatically. You only laugh at his antics, and shake your head. "That game sounds stupid as hell." You say, trying not to blush at the idea of playing. "Yeah, I just want to eat the snacks, bro." Shark says, about to drop the entire box in his mouth, with Piranha scoffs. "What?" Shark says, frowning and looking at him. "That's just 'cause you're a coward, papi." Piranha says, crossing his arms. "I ain't no coward!" Shark says, clearly growing annoyed. "It's not my fault you can't handle it." He says. "He doesn't know what to do, since he gets no bitches." Piranha says, fake whispering to you. You giggle, before Shark grabs one of the small, colorful snack sticks, and sticks it in your mouth. He chomps on it before you can even get a bite. He lips get to yours, and he kisses you briefly, before turning to Piranha. "HA! I AIN'T A COWARD!" He exclaims, while Piranha laughs his ass off at the bright scarlet look on your face. While Shark continues to boast, you only shuffle away, not sure how to handle the conflicting feelings. A part of you is elated, happy that you got to have your first kiss with someone you like, but another part of you feels horrible. Did he only see it as a game? Did he kiss you just to prove a point. You shake your head, and try to suppress the feeling. What you couldn't know, is that Shark's red face was not from his loud, angry yelling and shaking of piranha, but rather from the feeling of kissing you.

It isn't for a while before he turns to speak to you, only to realize you're gone. "Are they gone?" He mumbles to himself, face falling. "Geez, you better go figure out what's wrong, bro." Piranha says, his face stuffed with the other snacks from the store.

Later that night, your sat in your room, attempting to mindlessly distract yourself with various tasks, like painting your nails and checking on your Tamagotchi pet, Hector. You perk up at the knock on your door. "Come on in!" You call over your shoulder, back not facing the door. You regret your decision when the door is loudly opened, the steps only heavy enough to be Sharks. "Oh, uh, hey Shark. You and Piranha eat all the snacks already?" You chuckle awkwardly, unable to meet his eye. "Nah, piranha got to most of them before me." SHark rubs the back of his neck. "About earlier..." He trails off. "Yeah, you really showed Piranha." You say, and he looks up. "Oh, so, it's cool then? You kinda disappeared after." He isn't sure if he should explain or apologize. "No, I just... It was unexpected? I hadn't ever, uh..." You trail off. His eyes widen "Wait, I'm so sorry! I didn't know!" He says, hands out in front of him. "No, I'm not mad. I guess I just didn't think my first kiss would be because of a game? I thought it would be with someone who's like, into me, y'know?" You say, sighing. Shark seems to think, "Well I mean, I, I'm not NOT into you..." He says, avoiding eye contact. You look up, before swallowing nervously. "Well, I'm not NOT into you either." You say. He looks up, before a bright, toothy grin covers his face. "So... you want to buy some more of the snacks Piranha ate?" he suggests. You smile. "I'd like that."

I heard that you’re writing headcanons for Valentines Day! I didn’t see any fandom restrictions, so I was hoping you could do Saki Nikaido from Zombieland Saga because I can’t find any people who write for her. I love her dearly, but sometimes I struggle to know what we’d do as a couple. For context, I’m 16-17 (my birthday will be on the 22nd) and I identify as female. I’d prefer that if you refer to me by name in the headcanons, you choose to use Y/n or simply a pet name Saki would give me. I always imagine myself as a zombie when I fantasize about her to make things less complicated. I’m an ESFP 4w3, and my personality is very reminiscent of Mizuki Akiyama from Project Sekai and Kou Minamoto from Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun. I have a passion for digital art and supernatural anime and manga (right now my favorites are Zombieland Saga and Chainsaw Man.) I have ADHD, and I like to think that Saki does as well. I also love yume kawaii fashion, and I try to dress in exclusively pastel clothing. Plushies are also something I love, and I enjoy video games from time to time, mainly Nintendo. My food taste differs a lot from Saki though, as I love anything sweet and I am a vegetarian. I generally enjoy hanging out with people who will listen to me ramble about my hyperfixations and will do fun and exciting things with me. Speaking of which… amusement park dates? That’s my kind of thing. My love language is probably quality time and words of affirmation and uh… I’d say I’m smart but I act very dumb. Saki Nikaido Headcanons!!

Heya anon!! Sorry it took so long... we had a mass blackout during the weekends. :P

I hope I got her character (marginally) right! I haven't really watched Zombieland Saga, but I did a fair bit of research. It sounds like such a cool show! I'll bet you guys are a cute couple, too :D

♤Saki might appear a little bit harsh on the outside, despite caring deeply for you. 

♤It can be hard for her to be honest with her emotions, especially because of how much emotions she feels when she is around you. In the beginning, she might turn to "cuteness aggression" when she's flustered.

♤And then... she might turn to occasional honesty aka. A long winded, flustered, angry (?) rant about how horribly adorable you are. How dare you be so cute. It's unacceptable!

♤Slowly, though, she would be able to soften up a little. Don't expect her to be sugary sweet, but she will start trying to show affection (and get flustered when you bring it up)

♤Even though she can be rebellious and carefree, you'll see a more serious side of her whenever you're upset. She might feel a little tactless, but you'll be able to see her care for you shine through. 

♤Saki will buy you matching tamagotchis, probably a pair of sparkly Meets, for the sole reason that your tamas can marry each other. She will never tell you this. Ever.

♤She would pout when you indulge in sweets, because she thinks sugar is not fit for people with "guts", but you'll find her sneaking in to leave cookies or cupcakes on your desk.

♤You might even find her trying to bake.

♤Since she is the leader of Franchouchou, she takes her job very seriously. She goes through severe inner turmoil before a show about whether or not to save you front row tickets. 

♤Because her hair is so long, it takes her a fair bit of time to deal with it in the morning. You might convince her to let you help brush it, but expect her to mumble (while blushing thoroughly) that there's no point in fussing so much about her hair anyways, because- you know, rebelling things.

Aesthetics:

Let's be honest, the aesthetics make sense, but are still a tad disappointing none the less. they are going for a more gender neutral vibe this time around + trying to make it more similar to the way that the original tamagotchi shells look, rather than going for the hyperfem aesthetic, which I can appreciate. I just wish they made them more interesting. give me my glitter!!!!!!!!

Form Factor:

It is very much built to be played with the watch case on. Not a bad idea- but outside of the case, the buttons stick out quite a bit. I just hope they produce an official case that doesn't have the watch band attached- I'd love to be able to clip it onto my belt loop! I'm sooooo glad they continued with the rechargable battery, because it makes it so much smaller and better. It's even smaller than the smart- which to be honest, I wasn't expecting.

Engineering:

I'm so fucking glad they brought back the 3 buttons. They make it so much easier to navigate the menus. I got pretty used to the Pix's touch capacitive buttons though, and I wouldn't have minded them here- but I do understand that they were extremely hit or miss with people. (I do miss being able to do swipe gestures though. I guess that just means I need to play with the pix more.) I'm honestly incredibly glad they didn't do the touch screen here, because after playing with my smart for about a year on and off, the screen gets really dirty really fast. (not to mention the discoloration.) I'm also glad that on the official tamagotchi shell they didn't include any silicone- this pretty much solves the discoloration issue, and I hope that they sell more watch bands in even more colors. I dislike the placement of the lanyard/charm hole, I never really liked it being on the back, it should be on the side- otherwise it has a tendency to hit things, but I can understand putting it there. I do wish they upped the speaker quality though, the 16 dollar gigapet shouldn't have better speakers than the 60 UNI. I'll probably turn off the sound after a while. The speakers do their job regardless, since the tamagotchi has continued to stick to their guns and not have it play any noise other than beeps at various pitches. ALSO. USB C CHARGING IS A GAME CHANGER FOR REAL.

UI Design/Region:

The fact that this tamagotchi is not region locked is amazing. all tamagotchi UNI's share the same programming, and on startup you can pick whatever language and whatever server you want. The menus are pretty simple and not confusing, and I like a lot of the choices they made. It's not my favorite UI from a tamagotchi, but it's perfectly serviceable.

Gameplay:

It's cute! It's tamagotchi gameplay. Seems like they brought a bunch of fan favorite features back- having pets, marriages ect. I also like that each tamagotchi has a specific personality that you help them develop. I think that's really sweet. Also, being able to hold 4 accessories at once is a great way to be able to decorate the tamagotchi! I like that they added more places to go- the pix was really missing that. The games are fun and interesting, and I really like the way they use the gyroscope in some games. The growth chart seems like theres elements we haven't discovered yet which cause certain characters, so I'm curious as to see how it pans out. There's still a lot of mystery surrounding the gameplay!

Online Functionality:

The online functionality is scary to me, since I'm worried about the ability to push out updates. I haven't run into any bugs, so it seems like it'll mostly be used to push content updates? But I'm not entirely sure. I do like having the codes be exclusive, (I'm sure the modding scene will be able to find ways to automatically hack in certain items) because the PIX's QR code system made me a little bit sad with how easy it was to get any item in the game. It seems like there are also more items in this game as well. I do think the online functionality could be a really useful gateway for the modding scene, and the fact that the tamagotchi can download updates and items from the internet (not just backgrounds like the ON/Meets) is super exciting. I'm very excited to see what comes next. It is slightly worrying that bandai could in theory patch out any modding/hacking entrances, but also this is bandai we are talking about and they only really care about each tamagotchi model for about 2-3 years before phasing it out. (Though to be fair the Pix and Smart were smaller releases- they kept support for the Meets for 4 years)

OVERALL REVIEW: it's good :3 if u are a tamagotchi fan and have the money it's a must buy imo! I can def see it becoming a fan favorite down the line, esp if they release some extra lines with fun designs.

Tamagotchi Pix Party Commercial & Packaging Reveal New Characters, Items & Snacks

We’ve looked at every second of the commercial, and every inch of the packaging to see what characters and items we’re going to have on the Tamagotchi Pix Party, and here’s what we’ve found. Sometimes a thirty second commercial can reveal so much! The Tamagotchi Pix Party Commercial that was just debuted a few weeks ago sure does show off the party we’re in for this summer, and we’re excited!

First off, let’s talk characters. It’s no surprise that the Tamagotchi Pix Party will feature several characters from the Tamagotchi Smart and most have been revealed in the packaging, screenshots, and of course the commercial. Characters from the Smart seem to include Milktchi, Poptchi, Gaogaltchi, Wawatchi, and Karapatchi.

There are some new characters that you might have seen before that have been added to the Pix Party! First off the commercial opens up with Hotcaketchi and Himedolcetchi who are both from the Tamagotchi Meets Sweets, you can also see Giftchi from the Tamagotchi M!X Anniversary Gift Set, Pizalinatchi is back from the Tamagotchi Meets/On. It looks like Tuturinatchi is making several appearances in the commercial as well as the packaging.

Then later in the commercial you see appearances from Rosetchi, Eco-usatchi Triplets, Tamastetchi, and Maidtchi. You’ll also see Morijikatchi, Orenetchi, and Sebiretchi. On the back of the package you can see that other characters such as Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Mametchi, Himetchi, Violetchi, Kikitchi, Murachakitchi, and Lovelitchi are all returning.

Let’s keep in mind that we do not anticipate all characters being raisable, we’re sure some of them are just there to visit throughout the device. Non playable characters were also on the Tamagotchi Pix, and we’re sure Bandai Namco wanted to update a few of them to keep it exciting.

Second, let’s talk about items and snacks. The commercial has revealed new items that your Tamagotchi is going to love to give, or even receive and eat!. In the opening of the commercial you see party poppers, and pink presents. There is even a rainbow cake that is big enough for a party, how awesome is that?

There is a frame in the commercial where gifts are being exchanged in at a party, and the two items appear to be a colorful building block, and the other appears to be the Oyajitchi plush that was featured on the Tamagotchi Smart!

From what Bandai Namco has provided so far, this what we found. Bandai Namco has yet to unveil all characters and items, but we’re still a little over a month away from launch. Bandai Namco even informed us that characters will be revealed all at once, unlike the Tamagotchi Pix announcements. What characters, items, and snacks are you most excited about?

hakuno has been so inexpressive these days. not a thing of concern ‎— ‎ to most, ‎that must be what it appeared to be. ‎to those who better knew the kishinami, ‎ however, ‎ this was a little different. ‎ a silence that carried a solemness, ‎something off even for hakuno and her usual impassive demeanor.

tamagochi... ‎ not a word she knows of, ‎ and not one that inspires much of a reaction from her. ‎just the shifting of hazel eyes to the hatter who'd made her presence known— ‎ or, ‎had sophie been there all along ? ‎ ‎she hadn't really noticed. ‎ feeling lost in her own heavy thoughts, ‎even the time or the day were things that eluded her at the moment. ‎her hand idly raises to rest by her chest, ‎and it doesn't even feel like hers. ‎ ( heavy, ‎so heavy; ‎yet the confines of her chest feel so hollow and empty )

but something about sophie's words... move her, ‎ in a way. ‎ care and friendship, ‎simple concepts anyone would have naturally come to know in their life; ‎ but that was not the same for hakuno kishinami.

like a leech to a host. ‎a vastly different image from the sweet one the seamstress was building, ‎but it's a comparison comes to her easily, ‎and it feels so fitting. ‎because— ‎ ‎that's just how it was, ‎really. ‎ what does she have to offer ? just what could she do ? ‎the concept of an unconditional care ‎ / ‎friendship ‎ / ‎ love is lost on one who could not accept it for herself. ‎ ‎all i am is no good... ‎ i'm just taking things i have no right to take... ‎and really, ‎she knows better than anyone the truth of her existence. ‎ the reality of just what was ‎ " herself ".

“ ‎ ‎you have a beautiful way of seeing things, ‎sophie. ‎ ‎ ” ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎such a shame that it didn't extend to herself, ‎sophie hatter, ‎a kind soul able to see the good in everyone except for herself ‎/ ‎even in herself, ‎the greedy and useless hakuno kishinami. ‎the thought adds melancholy the the soft voice carrying the words. ‎far-away, ‎ and somehow distant. ‎that was how her voice sounded, how the doll-like maiden seemed in this instance. ‎a presence not quite there. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎“ is that how you see me ? ”

hakuno looks up, ‎and meets with sophie's eyes. ‎ a warm brown, ‎ she vaguely sees herself reflected in them.

my package from england finally showed up so my tamagotchi smart is now in english! also I now have everything i need in order to make my own tamasma cards. or, you know, to pirate all the ones I didn't buy. but most importantly, to be able to raise like. g'raha or alisa or the twins or something like that, on my tamagotchi.

I still don't actually know how to do that yet, but I have all the hardware I should need.

also, now that I can actually read what the hell is on the screen, I think I like the smart better than I did before. (I read japanese extremely slowly and the screen timeout on this thing is no joke.) I also finally know where the games live. the only good one is the making drinks one and it is excellent.

I also had the opportunity to grab my box of tamagotchi! unfortunately it does not actually contain all of my tamas; it's got all the mixes and meets and my eevee, but not my on and not my connections, either. I'm also like 95% sure I own a sweets meets that's not in there either (I'm also 95% sure I know where it is tho. I think the on is with it too).

so, bummer that I don't know where my connections are, but it's not so bad really.

...it's also kind of a bummer how the special characters work on the smart, but I'll get over it, probably.
