You aren't a feminist if you ignore women who aren't white.

Black, Asian, and Hispanic women don't benefit from things that only benefit white women.

There is also a crisis in Palestine right now because women don't have access to feminine hygiene products, there have been reports that they are using TENT PIECES when their period starts. This is only a FRACTION of what Palestinian women are going through. And yet western feminists look away.

You also aren't a feminist if you criticize a Muslim women for wearing a hijab. It's part of their religion and culture, they aren't being 'forced' to wear it. I had a friend who told me her hijab made her feel powerful and what did western feminists do? They harassed her even though she was happy.

Once again, it isn't 'feminism' if you completely ignore women who aren't white. Feminism isn't beneficial if only one group of women benefit from it.

What's crazy about the Harry Potter thing is how many people already knew liberals were closer to accepting fascism than fighting it and now not only are they proving us right, but they're still trying to convince us that their actions don't represent them somehow.

it's so telling when someone says radical feminism is "white woman shit" and you bring up the fact that in many places such as africa or asia, the only feminism that prominently exists is radical feminism, and for those places it's just considered regular feminism that you get told those women live in places that aren't progressive enough for them to understand their actions properly. to say these women are too dumb to realize that their beliefs are "bad" simply because they don't align with western mainstream liberal feminism is rooted in xenophobia and racism, not to mention a lack of understanding of the struggles and violence women from these countries regularly go through, which can range anywhere from fgm to men rubbing and wiping their cum on the back of women's clothes in trains. but of course, as usual, there's no intelligent response to this so you just end up getting blocked or get rape wished on you.

The genocide in Palestine has really been bringing home to me how deeply certain groups have learned to use the language of social justice as a weapon to muddy the waters while they are enacting horrendous violence.

In a way that “gender criticals” appropriating feminism hadn’t, actually, because a lot of transphobic violence, like misogynist violence, is more hidden and more complex. I could see how a pretty privileged cis person might not see it, or think it was “complicated”. (None of which means it’s excusable, btw. It’s just less fucking obvious than an entire country being carpet bombed).

But the fact that the UK and the US are openly funding Israel to mass murder children, civilians, journalists in Palestine and using protections against *hate speech* to shut down criticisms of it is fucking killing bits of my soul.

*While* doing fuckall to protect ordinary Jewish people from rising antisemitic violence from white supremacists. Who are bombing and shooting up synagogues as well as mosques and indigenous American water protectors in the US and beating up Jewish and Muslim folk in the UK.

Like, you... you guys are aware that SECOND WAVE feminists were the ones who got women equal labor rights? That literally means that until 1960ish, women were not expected to work.

Yes, poor white women worked but they literally thought it was due to the "degradation" of family fucking values, which where that women were not allowed to work. Their duty was to the fucking house, aka true womanhood aka the cult of domesticity. This is where housewife comes from.

This is what people like matt walsh and ben shapiro mean when they say we have to go back to the "original" definition of womanhood.

these are terms you should fucking look up right now if you think i'm pulling them out of my ass, because they are well documented parts of white history.

So, if women were literally not expected to work BUT black women were expected to work... what conclusion can we draw here?

if you're not a racist, history denying terf, you understand the only conclusion to draw is that black women were not considered to be true women.

To then claim that black women were seen as women because obviously, they had vaginas at the time is so fucking racist, I cannot even begin to describe it.

Y'all do realize that the best case scenario when it comes to TERFs is that they genuinely just don't care who gets swept up in their efforts to "protect" cis women from trans people, right?

The BEST CASE SCENARIO. Is that these TERFs are so gleeful in their fight against trans people having access to basic fucking human decency. That they just. Do not care when cis women get swept up in it and get harassed and assaulted for not being "womanly" enough. Or they write that off as a necessary sacrifice.

This is the BEST CASE SCENARIO.

Personally, I find that it's a lot easier to believe that TERFs are just fucking racist, white supremacist, fascist bigots who not only do not CARE that cis women get caught up in their bullshit policies, they REVEL in it. Because they don't just hate trans people (although that is their main focus)- they hate EVERYONE who doesn't conform to their white supremacist worldview of what womanhood is.

Which is a view that inherently excludes MOST WOMEN. And includes fascist bigots.

Reading the book Men Who Hate Women about the different groups in the online manosphere and the real life harm they cause and I’m seeing a lot of similarities with online terf spaces and it’s like wow, they really are a cultish hate group that cause real harm.
