I kinda touched on this in my last ask, I guess, but it’s such a luxury to be able to do that (in a way—Mariah was eventually found out by her record company and her controlling husband, neither of which wanted her to make or release that album, so then she got a friend to do the vocals for it and released everything super secretly, like that). But beyond Mariah’s specific case, it’s just—I dunno. I admire the drive to do whatever you need to make that one thing that’s eating away at you. Writing before work, during it if you can—after, when you should be making dinner or sleeping. Humans are so funny. I love it so much (sometimes).

I got the two books I had on hold at the library out, today! I wore my romance novels t-shirt, which was unintentional, but hey at least it was thematic. The problem is is that I think I have been too optimistic about my willingness to devote time to reading, LOL. Where did this hunger come from??? Oh my gosh, no, Anon, listen—if you could do one thing without failing, one thing that would work out perfectly, what would you do? Because I was thinking about this today, right, when I was in the library and looking at books and mulling over how I would answer your ask and I think I would run a little bookshop. Booktok is a plague but it’s also shown that if you give people a genuine community where they can like—talk about things they like (or don’t) and recommend stuff to each other, it like, just seems to remind people, and introduce people, of/to the wonders of reading??? And if I knew I could run a little business without it like tanking and taking me with it, then—I’d have a little bookshop!!! Just a tiny one!!!! Order enough of the popular titles to bring in people, and then throw in some newer authors that sound fun, and then some obscure things. And have romances novels—so many!!!

We have a little bookstore in town and sometimes I like to pop in and browse it—the woman that works there is very sweet. She wrote and self-published a book about how much she loves her horses! But we always chat (she always asks me about the book that I was writing, when I first met her—although I’ve updated her to the fact that we’re writing anime-boyfriend fanfic now LMAO), and about a month or so ago I was in there and she was like, “Don’t panic, but I have to close the shop because I’ve promised next door that I would work their til for them, so I’m going to close the door and if you need me, or you wanna leave, just come through the closet!”

The closet, it turns out, is this actual, teeny tiny skinny silver of space—behind a bookcase. You just pull the bookcase forward and viola! There’s a little corner corridor that leads into the toy shop next door. It’s absolutely magical. I was completely euphoric—I had an entire bookstore to myself, for as long as I wanted: just me and all those books, and then when I left I opened a secret passage that let me into the toy store next door. Like!!!! It was delightful. It makes me laugh. I love knowing that it’s there. I love that little shop. It has a little table in the middle of the store with a vase of flowers, where they arrange books for display and the whole place is brightly lit and behind the counter they have a rack of wrapping paper. 🥺

I dunno, Anon. 🥺 If I could make things easier for you, I would. The very least that any of us is owed is safety and security and a place to thrive. You’re doing well, Anon. Hello there !

I'm very pleased to meet you - I truly do. My name is Camille, but let's skip the formalities, call Cam or Camomille. I'm a 27 years old girl, going by she/her. I'm an intersectional feminist and anti-racist, I'm a social worker, and most of the days, I'm a shy bean who tends to overthink things. I'm also very well acquainted with social anxiety, and tend to be more of an ambivert.

I was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium, and I speak French, but learned English over the years - to be said, mostly due to reading.

It's been now quite a while since I truly started reading. I was an avid reader when I was a kid, always somewhere with a book way too big and heavy for me, until school and teenage years hit me.

It's not until my 24-25 years old, that I started reading again, and, well, I couldn't stop since then. Reading slump did its joke on me too, I believe it's quite the normal thing when you're passionate about something - it comes and goes, but never truly leaves you.

In this world made of fast days, busy weeks, anxious delays, we tend to forget about us so easily. How to take care of us, of our mind and soul, our mental health, all those precious things that make us.

Taking time for ourselves, by doing what we love, in our own little secret world, is one of the most glorious and rebellious thing we do. Each of us define what that sweet bubble is made of, but hey, if books and cosy days and tea and cats are also your thing, welcome !🌻

By starting this blog, I wish to share together books that made us feel. To inspire each other and share our excitement over new characters or ideas, because it can sometimes feel quite lonely when we stay secret about our happy little moments.

obviously, he thought you were nothing more than annoying when you first met. you drove him crazy with the reckless and stupid things you would do and were so nonchalant and naive about them. not to mention that your voice alone irritated him with your light and jovial tone; he thought you sounded like an airhead. however, he later realized that although you took many risks, they all had a purpose and your courageousness reflected that. everything seemed to go your way which amplified your positivity. even though you could be annoying and too happy all the time, he couldn’t ignore your true value and worth, ultimately bringing you together into a relationship. 

there’s one thing that you do that irritates him more than anything else and that’s because it’s so cute. you like to watch him when he’s cooking something, which he doesn’t mind at all. actually, he prefers it over you trying to help him and ending up having to stop what he’s doing to clean up any casualties from your clumsy self. sometimes it seems like you enjoy getting his attention for no reason while he’s busy but then you hold your hands up, fingertips touching to form a circle. you then will pretend to bite the top of your hands so that they form a heart. 

it makes him blush just about every time which contradicts his distaste, “what the hell?! stop interrupting me for stupid stuff like that, dumbass!” eventually you stop and will simply just tell him you love him, which has the same effect but he could never stop hearing you say that as he grunts his reply, returning the sentiment. 

sometimes you can be an annoying, clumsy, ditzy dumbass but he’d rather take you as you are, sweet and happy, than see you miserable and sad. otherwise, someone would have to pay

he’s rather wary of other people, especially when he tells them about his quirk and how he wants to be a hero. he finds it hard to trust or depend on others, given his prior experiences of others not reciprocating that trust to him. you’re nice and sweet to everyone so he expected nothing less when you were the same with him. what changed greatly for him was when you trusted him enough to team up with him to apprehend a villain. he feels that everything you say and do radiates genuine nature and with that, he finds himself falling in love with you.

you’re adored and admired by many, so of course, the fact that you’re dating him might make heads spin. he doesn’t mind for the most part and he feels that he can let another side of himself show when he’s around you, one that not many have seen before. although he looks stoic and aloof, he likes cute things like cats and you. to him, everything you do is so cute, even if it’s something mundane like brushing your teeth. and he doesn’t mean it in a patronizing way but more so in a loving way. 

you have a lot of cute gestures that you use to show affection to him. one that he finds especially cute is when you pretend to bite the tips of your fingers and shape it into a heart with your hands. it’s a little random and something he wouldn’t expect, leaving him to ask, “where did you learn that?” and you tell him that you just made it up. his next question would be, “where do you come up with this stuff?” while chuckling, to which you just shrug and point to your head, replying that it just comes to you. 

at the end of the day, all the things that you do light a fire inside of him and he hopes to stay warm for awhile
