New weird horse just dropped, folks.

A spotless giraffe was recently born at Bright’s Zoo in Limestone, TN and was just announced in the media this morning. They’re starting a public naming contest for her, of course.

I’d love to know what type of mutation causes this lack of of pattern, but I don’t know if we have genetics on that for giraffes the way we do other species. As far as is known, she’s the first spotless giraffe ever documented!

This little giraffe absolutely could not stand having a bird aboard. She tried walking fast, wiggling her neck, swishing her tail around, and rubbing her neck against mom, but the oxpecker was bound and determined to stay put.

This baby was at least two days old, and steadier on her feet than the new baby giraffe we saw a couple of days later.

Darn that bird, anyway.

April third. The day you've been dreading. Luke promised to try and talk Kurtis out of trying to fight Matt, but Luke said it doesn't seem like he is budging.

You sit on Matt's bed and watch him tie his tie in the mirror.

"Please be careful." You say for what feels like the thousandth time for Matt.

"I will. You have nothing to worry about, babe."

"I just know he's going to try something. He won't let the idea leave his head."

"I'll be ready for whatever happens. If he does decide to start something it will probably be during a face off."

Matt fixes his collar and turns around to face you. "I got to get going. Good luck kiss?"

You nod and stand up from the bed, making your way over to him. He pulls you into a hug and lifts you off the ground a little bit to kiss you. "You have nothing to worry about. I promise everything will be fine."

You kiss him again and he puts you back down. "I love you."

"I love you too."

MATT REMPE POV Putting the both of us in the starting line up was definitely a set up.

We weren't even lined up for the face off yet and he was already trying to start shit.

"You want it?"

"No."

We lined up for face off and I could see him look over at me out of the corner of my eye.

"Your girlfriend will eventually realize how big of a pussy you are and dump your ass. Enjoy it while it lasts, Rempe."

The puck hit the ice my gloves were off and I went straight for him. We started throwing punches and the rest of the players started fighting as well.

After what felt like forever, we were all finally separated and escorted off the ice.

I could still feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I ripped off my gear.

"You think your girl is going to be pissed, Remps?" Jacob asks.

"At me? No. At her brothers' teammates? Definitely. She already knew he was going to try and fight me. I turned it down at first and then he kept running his mouth."

YOUR POV The game ends and you go to meet Matt.

K'Andre notices you and bumps into Matt, making him look up from his phone. "Catch ya later."

"Yeah, later. Hey." Matt tells you as you walk up to him.

"What the hell happened?! I saw you tell him no at first."

"He couldn't keep his fucking mouth shut and it pissed me off." he replies.

"What did he say?" You ask, grabbing his hand as you guys walk towards the exit.

"We'll talk about it when we get back to my apartment, okay."

"Alright."

Back at the apartment you let Matt unwind a little bit before bringing it up again. "Can you tell me what he said?"

"He basically just called me a pussy and said that you'll eventually realize and leave, to enjoy it while it lasts. Which yeah, I shouldn't have gave into him, but part of me started to wonder if it was true."

You shake your head no and lean into him. "It's not true. You're not a pussy and I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me now."

Matt slightly smiles and pulls you in for a kiss. "I love you. Way more than you know."

"I love you too."

You're back in Newark and Jack and Luke have some of the guys over.

They've been trying to get you to come be social for the last ten minutes.

"Y/N!!!!" You hear Nico yell, probably from his usual spot on the couch.

"They aren't going to leave you alone until you go out there." Matt laughs.

"But I want to talk to you."

"We can talk later. Go hangout with them."

"But my bed is so cozy."

"Now I know you're just making up excuses, babe. Your bed is the most uncomfortable thing ever."

"Okay, you caught me, but I don't know who all is here."

"So go see. I need to go to the gym anyway. It will give you something to do while I'm gone."

"Fineeee. I'll talk to you later. I love you."

"I love you too."

You end the call and make your way out of your room.

Dawson and Nico look away from the tv when they notice you walk in.

"Sorry, I was busy."

"Doing what?"

"Ignoring you guys like usual. Where's Rowdy and Luke?"

"They went to get food and the three of us didn't want to go." Dawson answers.

"Three…?"

"Yeah. I'm here too." You hear Kurtis behind you and you turn around to see him leaning against the doorway, arms crossed.

"How's your face feeling?" You ask, earning laughs from Dawson and Nico.

"Fine. Just a little sore. You know, after your boyfriend decided to take a swing at me."

"He wouldn't have if you hadn't provoked him."

"Provoked him? Please, he's just a hothead with no self-control."

You roll your eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Kurtis."

Kurtis scoffs and pushes off the doorway. "You know, he's not the knight in shining armor you think he is. Eventually, you'll see that. But hey, don't let me ruin your fairy tale romance."

With that, Kurtis walks away, leaving you pissed off.
