It’s my birthday so you know what that means! Time for shameless self-indulgent AU drawings!

Anyhoo few years back I drew the main cast of my fma immortals!au, so this time around I figured I’d draw a few of the side cast as well, aka the characters that actually have jobs lol

once again the basic premise of the AU is that all the fma kiddos are immortal creatures living in the modern world, but I figure there’s gotta be Some regulars around so riza and roy get to rep the human race - also some bonus details relevant to this set is greed and lust aren't really siblings and more just coworkers/shittalk buddies, this is as low stakes as au’s get so no interpersonal family drama here

Going back into my cave after this but Wyllstarion x The Princess Diaries au. Wyll as Mia, Astarion as Nicholas, Tav as Andrew. You understand.

#wyllstarion #My sister made me watch this with her on her bday and I could only think “omg like wyllstarion” the entire time #Wyll having to find himself a spouse in order to rule bc of some dumb old baldur's gate tradition #His father had to marry his mother to rule but she died in childbirth and his father ruled the rest of the time alone #Wyll was cast out for the same reasons as in Bg3 but instead of him returning to save his father his father realises his mistakes first #Cause Wyll deserves it #Lady Tav is the most eligible royal for Wyll to wed because she's the duchess of Waterdeep or something #And they were friends #But Wyll loves Astarion #Obviously I'm spinning this like within the Bg3 universe not a modern au or anything so some things are different #Holy shit what if ulder ravengard had a boyfriend a man he was in love with but couldn't ever be with. For fun. Like queen clarisse #Idk who it would be but wouldn't that be funny #WAIT what if instead of a dumb baldur's gate tradition demanding that Wyll marries it's actually because #His pact with Mizora requires that he have a “level headed” spouse to “protect him from the devil's influence”#Guys I'm a genius #And no one wants Astarion to be Wyll's lover bc Astarion is a vampire spawn and they especially don't trust him #Astarion romances Wyll on the order of Cazador bc Cazador wants control of baldur's gate & astarion is the perfect candidate to seduce Wyll #But then Astarion falls in love with Wyll #I just want a scene with Lady Tav and Wyll discussing their marriage after Wyll is caught with Astarion #Where Tav tells Wyll he'll make an amazing king and she's a lady who never backs out of her word #They're friends so they're both understanding that love between them isn't happening #When Wyll returns the ring during the ceremony Tav is like oh thank fuck because Karlach is looking real gorgeous tonight #Etc etc #Bg3 #Wyll Ravengard #astarion ancunin #Bloodpact #I fucking love that ship name BTW it's genius

#sarah lawson #rip #death ment tw #character actors #the night won't talk #the devil rides out #callan #the odd man #gideon's way #the saint #the avengers #night of the big heat #department s #the persuaders!#jason king #within these walls #the professionals #the browning version #by chance i happened to be looking something up fairly recently which lead me to clock that Sarah was (then) still with us‚ admittedly #something of a surprise. perhaps it was because she appeared to retire relatively early (certainly well before her husband of many years‚#Patrick Allen‚ who worked right up until his passing in 2006). perhaps it was also that she always seemed like a mature presence‚ even in #the earlier roles I've seen of hers‚ giving the impression she was somewhat older than she was. 95 tho is a good life and she leaves an #impressive cv; perhaps pop culture will remember her best for The Devil Rides Out‚ where she ably holds her own against both Chris Lee and #the fearsome Charles Gray. her leading roles on tv were relatively few; The Odd Man‚ although at least a good portion of it apparently #exists‚ has never seen a home video release (it was one i always prayed Network might get to) and I'm not particularly familiar with Within #These Walls (where she took the lead for the final series) but for me the role to look out for is her spectacular multi episode arc in the #final series of Callan‚ as an enemy agent who seems almost as burnt out as Ed Woodward's tortured lead. she was also in an excellent 1957 #version of The Woman in White for ABC‚ which is well worth watching if you can track it down (i think it ended up on one of Network's ABC #Nights In discs‚ which are still floating around on ebay and the like). a very fine actor and a life well lived

I am so interested in the fact we’re gonna explore the missing girl that made Athena want to become a cop storyline because it hints at the idea of closure - like the emmett storyline. Athena getting closure on something she’s carried with her like a torch all her life suggests the opportunity to actually move on and move forward - that there will no longer be this thing hanging over her. And the title - the devil you know - so suggestive of that closure actually allowing her to confront her job and if she does actually want to be doing it any longer - if she’s happy carrying g on with what she knows or if she wants to pursue something new - the literal meaning of the devil you know!!

… procrastinating on writing (as usual) but made myself sad thinking about how Layla comes to Hawkins with a “I don’t need friends they disappoint me” mindset, makes friends with people who genuinely care about her and they all end up “dying” (or leaving bc of the trauma) one by one in the span of nine months while she’s also being traumatized repeatedly by other things.

Hurt my own feelings with that thought process
