Season 3 really does feel like the show is going through all of the side characters and checking up on them, even giving them a bit of a happy resolution, one last time before the ending. A final curtain call, a victory lap of all the friends we’ve seen and made, before we say goodbye and get to the ending; Like when you finish all of the side quests, or in this case plot threads, before the final boss.

With stuff like Vee finding her place back with Masha, Emira and Edric, the Hexside kids, and so forth... Things are wrapping up, we get to appreciate how much they’ve all changed since the start of the show, before it all goes back to our main cast. I’m feeling forlorn y’all. It’s a nostalgic reminder of all we’ve been through, a thanks for all these characters have done for us; A Where are they Now? situation done ahead of time for their sake.

They weren’t super major, but they were relevant enough that we want to visit one last time, and reward these characters with their own happy ending, for their own contributions to the story and fandom. With how the finale will understandably focus on the main cast, it’s nice to see the side characters thrown a little bone and acknowledgement (especially for their dedicated fans), because they’ve got their own stories that deserve a resolution.
