so before we begin let's just keep in mind that most of us have heard that s5's villians are most likely the ten kings of the underworld who are also known as the grim reapers of their world, okay? keep this noted...

SO LET'S TALK ABOUT MAYOR

OKAY SO WE HAVE MAYOR. i always hear people say that he should have a redemption arc in s5 but honestly thats not in character with mayor tbh I, personally, IMAGINE THAT HE'LL BECOME PHYSCO over LBD's death, not simply giving up but actually becoming ever so determined to bring back lady bone demon to help her accomplish her "destiny". How tho?

he'll kill macaque. :D

okay so we know how macaque was brought back to life with LBD's power? I imagine that macaque has like "LBD life essence", and mayor will be wanting "LBD life essence" to bring back Lady Bone Demon.

so the ten kings of the underworld are tasked to keep in control those who die, yes?

i would LIKE to imagine that Mayor comes to contact these guys, telling them that Macaque is still illegally alive due to LBD, and how Mayor will help them get Macaque to put him to death like he shouldve been.

(with ofc, mayor's real intentions just using the ten kings to help him get closer to macaque because surely mayor couldn't simply approach and take macaque's "'lbd life energy" without the LMK main characters interupting him.)

LETS START WITH EVERYONE'S NEW LIVES, beggining with pigsy

so i imagine pigsy, and how maybe his shop would become more famous now? and due to that he suddenly has less time with MK and Tang, maybe he becomes more self-indulgent and maybe even selfish here?

FOR TANG, okay so tang, finally feeling important and famous for once, feels almost entitled to keep people cheering for him, forcing himself to help anyone he can, just like MK can. he finds himself becoming tuckered out, wondering if feeling important is really what he wanted.

(for my freenoodles homies, i can imagine that tang never really wanted to be famous but wanted to be loved, by PIGSY SPECIFICALLY OFC, but pigsy being busy cant spend time with tang, so on and so forth)

MK MEANWHILE, is trying his best to not be in the spotlight and tries to live a more secluded life, especially with his monkey form being just around the corner??

FOR MEI, i'de like to think that while she enjoys the fame, she can't help but feel split about MK not liking the attention, but man, she sometimes just cant help but spend a little self-indulgent time to just show off to everyone and be praised.

Bad Batch thoughts & predictions Ep 14

Continuing these written reactions/predictions somewhere cause itd be fun I think to see what actually ends up happening and remembering what I thought at the time so im dumping it here, youre welcome. Couple days late this time but whatever: - The immediate forest scene is super pretty and im loving it - IDK WHOS RUNNING BUT RUN BOY RUN - New clone owo -- oh no he got caught :( - omega copying hunter again is still super cute - Rex? My beloved? -- wait old friend? Whomst? >> tbh I didnt get a super good look at their face so maybe its someone I shouldve recognized but still! >> - Wait isnt that gregor's number??? - I mean... why would they not get paid if they deviated from cids job? Couldn't they just do both? - So I doubt its what they mean but what if "the operation" was them taking the insubordinate clones and making their chips work(or be put in or something if removed maybe..? idk) like how crosshair did at the beginning of the season? -- I do assume thats not it but could you imagine >> - oh sis... the young clones look BADLY whitewashed... I am pretending they are clones of someone else...cause that is bad - I mean its smart of the kaminoans to run away and everything and yeah they obviously cant take their facilities with them, but they know how cloning works and stuff, that knowledge is still valuable... - THANK YOU ECHO. I don't remember him sounding like that lol - Like yeah they kill or hurt some but it still hurts my heart every time they *stun* people... like them not wanting to hurt/kill fellow clones is sad - I get why the bb can't but why doesn't gregor take some of the stunned clones armor... like if they got split up or something they wouldnt know its him right away - IS THAT SCORCH OH SHIT I WAS KINDA KIDDING ABOUT DELTA SQUAD THATS SO COOL -- but also OH GOD DONT KILL HIM PLEASE --- Give me republic commando 2 please - Ok just stunned thank god - I'm starting to love and appreciate Tech's flying more and more. Last episode with the drifting and now this. - I THOUGHT HUNTER PUSHED ECHO OFF FOR A SECOND I WAS GONNA SCREAM GRFJGHKFHG - WAIT WHAT THE FUCK HUNTERS FUCKING DEAD WHAT - Oh no... hunters going to get caught... oh no...fuck... -- He's going to be turned like crosshair I bet cause they talked about that earlier :'( - The end of the season supposedly hurt the creators like the ending of clone wars so I super doubt hunter won't be turned, HOWEVER, I think if there is a glimmer of hope, its good hunter was the one taken. He was the one that looked to howzer when howzer said he didn't want to leave his squad behind, and I think that is going to inspire hunter to try to help crosshair. I doubt he can, but its rather a situation of them both being turned, or hunter being able to help crosshair and them both leaving/being saved. I doubt hunter can talk his way out of this also but another thing to consider is its super possible/even likely that crosshair isnt necessarily following his chip now (especially with the head injury!) but more so doing it out of revenge for being left behind.

do you think heris effectively utilized girl power by willingly experimenting and torturing the burnish /j but maybe cause i'm new to the movie but how have i not seen any posts about how she sucks she shouldve gone to prison with kray -_-

I’ve seen a few posts floating around about Heris and how she really had no justification for what she did. Even when the movie sort of framed it that way?

When I first saw the movie with friends we were all very much angry with her. The audience did cheer when Heris landed on Aina’s heli and it was like.. a moment. But I don’t know if I could say it was framed as a ‘girl power’ moment. I don’t see it that way at least. I think it was more so showing how Heris ‘switched sides’ in that moment and was finally helping out her sister. 

They show Kray in cuffs and say how he is getting arrested at the end of the film. Theres no mention of what happens to Heris. I honestly believe she went on trial along with Kray and the other scientists involved. Its more fan created that she’s hanging out with Burning Rescue or her sister. but I get it in a way of wanting a ‘happy ending’ and everyones happy and hanging out and having fun. And theres art of Heris and Aina getting along.

But its not... realistic? If Lio is getting arrested in your fan theory/fic but not Heris.. then you have some explaining or thinking to do tbh. 

I talked alot about Heris thoughts whoops. 

The movie does down play her role in being the LEAD scientist in the human experimentations and show case more that she’d being ‘forced’ to do this for Aina’s sake. Heris being manipulated by Kray in some manner. With threats to Aina’s life? Who knows. Its all kind of strange really. All in all theres no justification for collecting human beings and torturing them and then getting oh so excited that your tests worked. 

I find it funny how the movie states how Galo was aided into Burning Rescue by Kray cause he knew it was a job with a high mortality rate. Yet, Heris knew her sister was in Burning Rescue. Aina could’ve been killed at any moment on the job. But it wasn’t shown as much of a concern to Heris that Aina might die on the job, but that’d she’d die after being left on Earth when it ultimately explodes? Something wasn’t thought through there. 

Galo was manipulated and abused by Kray in Kray’s façade of a sort of ‘hero’ to Galo and in a built up relationship or ‘positive’ reinforcement in Galo’s life/career. And yet Heris was vaguely referred to have been manipulated by Kray in a rather negative manner of holding Aina’s life over Heris’ head and maybe even deeper then that. Galo was shown to have trusted Kray so its understandable when the whole façade comes crashing down that Galo is left heartbroken and defeated. We never see that happen with Heris, at least not in the movie. There could’ve been a moment in Heris’ life when she first joined the Foundation or was recruited that she trusted Kray and idolized him. But that came crashing down after being forced into her job. 

In the film Heris is already ‘defeated’ and knows Kray has bad intentions and is self centered and well, a murderer. Before she’s even shown how Kray murders Dues Prometh she knows Kray is killing people who are Burnish. She’s heavily involved in that herself. There is no surprise about him being a murderer. Yet, she trusts him to keep his word on letting Aina live? I feel like that story arc needs more to it, it lacks support for Heris’ motives. It could be she was so defeated or even terrified of Kray that she just went along and lied to herself that Kray will keep his word on Aina boarding the ship with her. There is some sympathy to give in that regards, I guess. Yet...

Galo had a deeper connection with Kray, and they definitely thought a lot and mourned while in prison for a week. Heris witnessed this betrayal and heart break and still had no real sympathy for Galo. Even knew that Galo wasn’t the kind of person to attack her and let him be uncuffed when they talked in Galo’s prison cell. Once again it could be just Heris being so numb to it all but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth. (AU where Heris frees Galo early on? pft)

Heris just isnt shown to have sympathy or any emotional connection to anyone, barely her sister. When Aina confronts her its still Aina talking to a wall, Heris is shown to be very numb to her. It all just makes me think something horrible was done to her by Kray, to be honest. And that’s sad. But doesn’t justify her murders or abuse. Maybe not an entirely willing participant in the Foundation but she participated. 

And then of course at the end when her big ole plan to stop the ship was to over power it. She has full control of it all. Kray just let her, she wasn’t under his control in that moment as he was busy fighting some gay newly weds. But she.. over powered the system to cause it to be overwhelmed and break. Hurting more people, knowing she was doing so and feeling very smug about it almost when she admits it. In this moment its shown she doesn't really see the Burnish people as well.. people. Weather thats because she was desensitized to it all after everything shes been through or not.. its not right. Shes shown as clearly not seeing these people as humans with lives and emotions and feeling pain, all while hearing their screams. Theyre still fuel and part of the engine and to destroy an engine you over heat it and let it die out. Whoops. Maybe the people engine had people die out too. Whoops?

Her moment at the end of taking the ‘good guys’ side is just Heris going back to her sister because thats all she cared for. And not even in a healthy way. Maybe Heris felt Aina was against the Burnish anyway because of her job in Burning Rescue? Since they tech fought the Burnish? Still. Heris clearly doesnt know much about her sister at all or she does know and would know that Aina wouldn’t approve of Heris’ actions to murder thousands for Aina’s sake. Or maybe Heris thought she’d be forgiven at some point and theyd live happily ever after.

TLDR; its all messed up Heris is messed up

Thank you for the response, it was an interesting read! One more question in the twice and hawks situation, what do you think hawks shouldve done? He thought that twice shouldve been unable to move due to the injuries he gave him so he wouldn't have to kill him, I saw Ts dedication to the lov not letting him get taken down, obviously T not dying wouldve been great but looking at what he was going to do, hawks couldnt have let him go. If H killing him was so bad wouldnt letting T go be worse?

Okay, so, no, I don’t think letting him go would’ve been worse. I actually think Hawks could’ve stopped it before it even got to the point that it did. He knew Twice was mentally ill. That’s why he said he’d try to make sure Twice got help. He also did it because of a bit of selfishness and naivete imo- he liked hanging around Jin and genuinely thought it was a good offer. 

But him knowing how mentally ill Jin was- and him claiming to be a hero- why wouldn’t he have questioned HOW he ended up a villain? The only way to stop villains- to really stop them- is to fix the society that makes them villains in the first place, otherwise, stopping Jin would be a short-term fix. Like slapping a band-aid on a gushing wound. Like, sure, you stopped one villain, congrats, but more of them will keep cropping up until you guys fix the entire system!

He should’ve had a conversation with Twice sometime in those several months of hanging around together. Really listened. Heroes should NOT have the authority to act as executioners. Sure, the situation COULD escalate because of Twice escaping. But is it right to kill him to prevent that? He may have just ran to get his friends to safety. He could’ve tried to escape and passed out from blood loss. He could’ve met up with Dabi and let him handle it and sat it out because of the injuries Hawks already inflicted. But we can’t know- and Hawks couldn’t either- because he made a call he really had no right to make. Heroes aren’t supposed to kill. Period. There is no reason Hawks should have had the right to make that call. Heroes in bnha aren’t allowed to arrest villains, they have to restrain them and turn them over to the police. Heroes are supposed to be upholding justice and saving people. They aren’t if they can’t properly de-escalate a situation, or take measures to prevent it from escalating in the first place. 

Especially when that person was probably the closest thing he had to a real friend. :(

If you’re asking what I’d personally like to see more than Hawks killing him? Well anything tbh, but the ideal situation would’ve been Hawks having a conversation with him, then truly thinking on how he could improve society for people like Twice. (I..think most LOV stans like me wanted Hawks to switch sides but. yeah. That didn’t happen.) If he was so deadset on taking Twice out of the equation, if he really couldn’t be swayed, then I would’ve personally preferred to see him doing it..like..in those months before instead of the last minute? Just slip a drug in his drink if you gotta capture him. It’s still extremely scummy but there’d be less chance of Twice lashing out if he’s- you know, unconscious at the time? 

TBH no matter what Hawks did, until he really understands how Twice feels about the LOV and the current society, Twice would lash out. The only route that would work would be compassionate and have empathy for the whole league, and that’s one I just...don’t see Hawks doing in canon. 

But that’s what fanfics are for I guess?

for the record i dont post about this show a lot but i started watching it last year and it became a low-key special interest of mine

mainly bc of jessica and trish’s relationship bc you know how i get attached to female friendships and :))))) well :))))))))

guess i shouldve seen that coming but like DAMN I DIDNT EXPECT IT TO GO LIKE. THAT. WITH TRISH TRYING TO KILL JESSICA?????

and i mean....jessica did what she did cuz deep down she loves her but like.

may i remind you that this is the only show not “made for kids” (i dont wanna say disney cuz not EVERYTHING else ive watched is disney but you know what i mean) ive watched in full not to mention got VERY EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN so....yah im not used to being broken like this.

why marvel tv gotta fuck me up like that huh??? first they kill my wife now they break up my brotp in the worst possible way???

i dont know how to feel overall about the season tbh. i LOVED s1. and i really liked s2 but the ending fucked me up a little. i could keep up with trish’s craziness for some time bc up until like the second to last ep jessica was still all in for but. then that happened. i didnt really like this seasons overall plot as much. s1 we had kilgrave who was awesome. s2 we had jess’ mom which i thought was neat. but sallinger seemed pretty random to me? i wasnt as hyped to binge it as i was with s2. i was tonight but not last night. the first half did kinda drag. 

ive only watched clips of the defenders (i plan to watch it at some point) and i havent watched any of the other marvel netflix shows so correct me if im wrong but i felt like the luke cage cameo was very random and unnecessary? they were like hey lets just throw him in so people can see him one last time? idk maybe im not one to talk on that

i will hand it to them tho that i was glad there was a little kilgrave content at the very end

i just UGH remember how chill and fun jess and trish were in s1!!! and in the defenders they just like chill and get coffee together!!! why did it have to get so dark like this!

again im not used to watching shows like this

bottom line it never hurts to get a new hyperfixation even if it hurts like this lmao. it wasnt like my TOP top so it only hurts so much. last summer was really dull so i needed something to fill the void and im glad i had it.

but ANYWAY im relieved that p much everything else i enjoy has happy endings and such and am excited to go back to that now :))))))

alphonse elric post-cos headcanons

based on my “teenage alphonse elric would be an absolute nightmare” post except it’s not as funny anymore now it’s just sad

al actually does have a lot of angst going on so let’s talk about that before we talk about how it manifests in his teenage behaviors: first off, general ptsd. now that his memories are back and he has a body and like, a brain to torment him, he’s gonna be having nightmares and flashbacks and anxiety and paranoia and days/moments where he’s feeling so overwhelmed where all he can do is sit in terrified silence. his survivors guilt from the end of the series returns and then multiplies, because he shouldve died but ed brought him back and now he and his brother are together and somewhat happy and it doesn’t seem fair. he also was the cause of the destruction in central, which definitely killed a buncha people. he has so so so much survivors guilt and has a hard time appreciating anything because it always comes with guilt. hes also resentful to ed for making his sacrifice at the end of the series mean nothing. like ed couldve had his limbs back and be happy in amestris but no ed had to play sacrificial ping pong and bring al back and make things ten times more complicated and make al have to live with all the guilt he feels

again before we get into what a nightmare al is i wanna talk about what an angel he is first (because to me it makes sense to talk about the good first and let you leave with the bad lmao). and it has to do with ed’s struggles. al knows his brother and knows how to calm him and take care of him and knows his patterns. at first al is frustrated with himself because ed has changed a bit and he has to readapt to this. at first he feels like he doesnt know his brother anymore, but he catches on pretty fast. Al is an angel because he still takes great care of ed, and knows how to tend to his needs. He can tell when ed is having a bad day, when he’s on the verge of a panic attack, when he’s anxious, and just in general knows all his ptsd markers and how to care for them. als teenage behaviors are also his way of defending ed from how messed up he is. he doesnt want ed to know hes struggling because he knows ed will blame himself. honestly as codependent as the elric brothers are, they have poor communication because they always want ot protect the other, but it never works because they know each other too well and can see right through each other. but they never talk about it. They just act on it. both of them are the most self-blaming people on the planet and it just snowballs because they’re aware the other is self-blaming, which they self-blame for, etc etc etc.

now onto teenage behaviors. so all this angst is what’s motivating it. and obviously, he misses home, too. and hes thrown into this totally different world and he doesnt know what to do with himself. i mean, ed has a resume now from working with alfons’s team, but he’s not gonna keep working for nazis so he’s gonna go get a research career at a university and be successful and probably even be a professor (this idea makes me extremely happy tbh). meanwhile al is like wth do i do with my life? some more relatable teen angst of “what is my purpose in this sucky world.” ed tries to include al in his work but al just is too distracted and depressed to be interested.

so what does al do? he snaps at ed a lot. Post cos ed has learned sensitivity and warmth (like in cos i really got that sense from him that he learned more social skill and grace) and he literally big brothers al all. the. time. and it comes from him caring for al’s mental health (like he knows what al is going through to a tee but he just doesnt know how to communicate verbally with him about it). he’ll bring work home with him and try and get al in on it and al will snap at ed ti leave him alone. ed will offer to take al to work and al will get pissed because why cant he just mind his own business and stop treating him like a kid? ed will offer to do things with al, he’ll do little things to try and make al happy and damn al is terrifying. i mean i have a personal story here: my older sister smothers me a lot and senior year of high school (she was living at home after graduating college) and im sitting in my room and she comes in without knocking, and in the sweetest voice is like “look at this shirt i had that you can wear to school!” and in the most demonic voice possible i just say “get out of my room” and she justs squeaks out “okay” and leaves looking terrified. Like THAT is ed and al. Ed will do something totally unexpectedly thoughtful to try and help al and al will just be a total shit leaving ed with nothing to do but run away for his life because nothing is scarier than a moody, teenage alphonse elric.

So yeah at first al just stays at home alone, wondering, “high school? or factory job?” And just isolating himself from the scary outside world that he doesnt recognize.

When ed takes him out al is so quiet. Ed talks pretty excitedly about his day, trying everything to help his brother out (because god he was just as miserable when he came to this world and the only reason ed is genuinely doing well now and is actually pretty happy despite his mental illnesses is because al is with him now. And ed just wants to freaking save al from this pain but it just...isnt working. he knows its not that he isnt enough; he knows al would rather be with ed here than in amestris without him but god he still cant help how muh self loathing he feels that he cant help his brother like hes able to help him) and al just zones out and plays with his food or sips his tea or looks at the sidewalk. its not that he doesnt care about his brothers day or that he resents him for being happy, its that he just does not have the energy to be present. and then that is snowballing because he feels like a sucky brother and then he feels like hes self-pitying too much and then its just this endless cycle

So al goes to high school because ed thinks the mental stimulation and learning about this worlds culture and science would be better than throwing him into a factory job. thing is, people who stayed in school past 14 in this time period tended to have money. And while ed makes money, he only makes enough to put al in high school and then provide the bare minimum after. and al cares about his appearance and about what others think about him. its just his personality. and even though hes a brilliant kid who picks up on what hes learning really quick, he still doesnt know much about this world and its current events and honestly amestris is so much more modern so al is confused about certain restrictions and stuff like that. so in school al is this poor, socially awkward, but super-good-at-school teachers pet and dude he is so so bullied and has no friends. remember he also has the mind of a 17-18 year old and so definitely appears to be an old soul among his actual 13-14 year old peers. so hes extremely outcasted. but now he also has a temper and he gets into fist fights.

now you’d think al would pummel these kids, right? Well no. you see when al gets into these fist fights, it kinda triggers memories of being in the armor and he becomes clumsy and out of touch with his body and sometimes forgets how to even move. some fights are better than others and the bullies are pretty shocked this kid has any skill at all, but al never wins against this entire group of kids

so yeah al comes home beat up and ed gets majorly pissed but now that theyre in this…normal life, having your big brother come into the rescue is not awesome. And ed doesnt get that because, well, when your bro is being beat up isnt the right thing to do to beat up the guy thats putting his life in danger? like these are eds survival/protective instincts from years of adventure and danger, so al telling him not to do anything is like...what? he doesnt understand. and al is getting super defensive about the whole thing. “Its none of your business” “leave me alone you’re not in charge of me” etc etc. and in a rational moment, al calmly explains that ed doing anything about it will make it worse. and now ed feels even more helpless and we all know that that is the worst thing ed can feel

and al is just such a nightmare now because hes getting in physical fights and sneaking out and losing his temper and snapping at people and being grumpy and rude. i can write a whole other list of headcanons for alter wrath both exacerbating his behavior but also helping his mental health (like him being friends with alter wrath/rudi as the fandom has named him really makes a “things get worse before getting better” situation

This be another horror-ish film Stir of Echoes

I decide I want to watch films from listicles and stupid articles posted from facebook. I decide to do reviews/re-action blogs/liveblog posts, not because of the film but just if I have time/effort to put in. The only thing I know about this one is that it's a supernatural horror and has Kevin Bacon in it. Creepy child humming and it's not even loaded in the screen yet; I'm betting it's all her fault. Sorry little one you must be possessed or something. Under 10yr old is in a bath, but talking to the camera and not Kevin Bacon (who's playing an acoustic guitar, because reasons). I don't think it's breaking the fourth wall, he be talking to a ghost or something. Yeah he just asked if it hurts to be dead, and the camera turns to reveal there's no-one there.... thought it'd’ve taken longer for that reveal tbh Kevin Bacon goes downstairs to find pyjamas and gets told he's going to have another child, just kinda leaving the kid upstairs talking to ghosts; no biggie Sister-in-law seems more worried about the star sign of the baby, but the only two people she can think of is Einstein and Shirley Manson...oh the days before Wikipedia could fill peoples heads with useless nonsense Little boy's in bed and Kevin Bacon goes in to turn off his lamp, like whoever put the kid in bed should've done that no? And the kids like 7ish why does he need a baby monitor Ah, because all three responsible adults are actually leaving the boy in bed alone to go to a party across the street. No locked doors or nothing... istheirlastnameMcCann?? I hope the wife's not going to be drinking at this party, and wonder how she's gonna keep her new pregnancy a secret while abstaining? There's missing kid posters on a lamppost, I wonder if that's relevant to the plot or just something there when they filmed? Hope the monitor's not 2-way, they're now talking about operating on people under hypnosis... Now Kevin's gonna get hypnotised by the sister-in-law, maybe it's not the kid that's gonna get possessed after all? The hypnosis dream world is cool, the way it responded to the script and everything turning black is simple but effective Now he's going to sleep at 1.11, aren't you supposed to be making wishes at that time? An hour and 15 minutes later his wife's horny and wakes up to have sex, like you might as well she's not gonna get more pregnant now is she. The wife was wearing a blue housecoat in bed and one of her boobs keeps falling out, but always the same one? Like they cant show two because censors so only make her right breast visible guys, hide the left one! Kevin's lying back having visions of blood and a fingernail being ripped off like sorry but you're obviously not that good hen He has to tell her to stop three times before she actually gives up trying to keep him in the mood like that's sexual assault my dear, spousal rape is a thing you know He just pulled a tooth out but was apparently just imagining it so no tooth fairy money for him :( Being possessed or seeing visions is apparently very dehydrating Ghost girl sits beside him when he turns the TV on and says "You can hear me can't you?" but I only know that because of the subtitles because no we can't really hear you. But I suppose people would be too freaked by the jump scare to notice what she's saying He's going back upstairs but he's left the TV on which is very irresponsible and only gonna increase his electricity bills. Jake (the son) is awake and just standing at the top of the stairs like the creepy little shit that he is Kevin's calling the sister in law from a phone halfway up a pole where he's fixing the wires but I'm betting they're probably not allowed to use that for personal calls Sister in law apparently told him to be more open-minded. So not posession but more sixth sense so far. Except he's no Bruce Willis, wonder which one came out first ((nb, this was second by like a month so not really ripping off but I bet that stole a lot of the thunder)) Jake tells his mum about a babysitter saying "Samantha told me" and points to an empty chair...come on, if you were listening to him you'd figure this one out already! No explanation of how long-dead Samantha knows the names of current babysitters that might be free though. Maybe her afterlife is spent keeping current with the neighbourhood goss? Babysitter knocks on the door and screen turns red, this does not look good for you dear. Screen turned red another twice, yeah that's a definite signal you're gonna be screaming soon. Kevin keeps hearing the warning sound every time he sees a red light though, like on cars and not connected to the babysitter so maybe she'll be fine and he's the one that's getting it? Kids at the high school football game trying to sneak beers in by tying them to a rope and having someone else drag it up over the wall....like the crowd and the nearby police car don't know whats going on? Kevin just drank some of his friends vodka which is ok because they're of legal age to drink, but not ok because he is now publicly intoxicated  Babysitter's reading The Shrinking Man which is not about possession or ghosts but a sci-fi horror... Jake's been caught talking to himself on the baby monitor, like surely if you were a ghost you'd get him to turn his set down or off no? Babysitter seems to know who Samantha is and that Jake can't be talking to her, maybe Samantha doesn't know about babysitters but was her friend irl? Apparently the appropriate response to this is to kidnap Jake... Kevin knows he's being kidnapped somehow and is close enough to run all the way home but not close enough to stop her. She gets stopped at the police station and an unreasonably shouty policeman somehow sorts things out Samantha is babysitters missing/kidnapped/well-now-we-know-shes-dead sister and she took Jake to see her mum who works at a train station Jake's mum finally twigs that Jake mentioned a Samantha so maybe she was actually listening to him, if not noticing that he was pointing at an empty space Kevin Bacon and his wife are now questioning their child back home, but he's now playing with dinosaurs and humming like he's finally decided to stop talking about his ghost friend just out of spite Jake gets possessed long enough for Samantha to tell them to talk to her instead...but then Samantha doesn't respond or show up so that was a bit of pointless direction. Now he's sitting on the couch turning the TV off and on as if trying to recreate the first time he saw Samantha but she's suddenly all shy There's a street party and the guy that no-one likes keeps calling Samantha a retard and gets called out for it :) Fight starts and a randomer just spills half his beer onto the street like not planning to join the fight just a bit clumsy lol Kevin's friend is in his house the next day, tells him "they" are gonna kill him and his wife and just leaves to sit on his porch like...could you be more vague? And how did you get in the house? Kevin goes to the friends house, friend's son has a gun, points it at Kevin but shoots himself...because reasons? Ah, dream, ok. But now as ever things are gonna happen in the same way so more of a vision. Kevin's picked up on it as soon as he only has one work shoe...like I'm sure that’s kinda common but well done for realising it normally takes people a lot longer Friend isn't in the house this day, maybe it was a warning and he's a ghost too? He's now went to the friends house but the door was locked this time and friend's son just shot himself. The dad is still alive though... Jake hears bagpipes when walking by a cemetery and thinks its beautiful? Like I'm Scottish mate and I don't think it's a particularly beautiful instrument tbh, its not really meant to be Jake says the graveyard is cool, I don't know if its cause he's been talking to a ghost or if he's just naturally creepy Policeman from the bagpiped funeral knows Jakes different and gives the mum his card, and he and Jake call each other by their first names as if seeing ghosts also lets you see peoples real names?? Kevin's finding it hard to write a song on his guitar but like if you're not gonna get inspiration whilst being haunted you should give up lol Mum goes to see policeman instead of Kevin which is extremely stupid because she can't see ghosts so he probably wont be able to help her much Jakes trying to watch The Mummy (the 50s one not the Brendan Fraser one) and gets told no, not because hes too young but hes seen it before and had nightmares lol Mum's trying to talk to Kevin and getting annoyed when he doesn't answer, ignoring the fact he has large headphones in and volume up so loud she can hear it from the doorway, typical woman thing Their kitchen has a trapdoor down to a basement wheir their boiler is and there's not even a lock on it, with a young child that seems very unsafe Samantha's turned Jake's TV over to Night Of The Living Dead...like his mum shouldve just kept it on the Mummy Kevin with headphones is suddenly in a freezing cold empty house with Samantha and she's freezing him to death, which is not gonna get her what she wants so seems counter productive Babysitters putting up posters for Samantha so yes the posters seen earlier are related-knew it! Kevin's trying to get the sister in law to hypnotise him again but interrupts an obvious lesbian one night stand she's trying to have Mum goes crazy and asks Kevin what he's doing when quite clearly he's digging...kinda obvious... Says she's going to call the police and Kevin says tell them what, like I get you cant see ghosts and probably don't think she's buried in your garden, but you can't call the police and say your husbands digging arrest him please? There's a letter from mum's brother about their granny and Kevin knows she's already dead, like his ESP isn't just connected to Samantha but he can also know other things somehow? Ok he's not going to grannys funeral because he's busy digging, yeah now he is being an asshole but it was her being unreasonable earlier Kevin kicked a bucket and broke a window, I'm not sure if he was meant to but it was funny Now he's digging upthe basement instead of his garden because the concrete floor is actually a better place to hide a body-less chance of being found I've decided the friends son is involved else why would he kill himself? Kevin tells his wife everythings fine when in actuality he's now tore up the floorboards, which I don't see how that helps him with the basement but hey why not? Jake tells his mum he doesn't wanna go home because of feathers like thats very unspecific and helpful but cheers And now after ripping up his garden, hall floorboards and concrete basement floor, turns out the body was in the basement chimney...see if she'd just been a bit more specific with her directions instead of just telling him to dig Now he's uncovered the body and is touching it like you should really be calling the police and get CSI into this shit Touching the body's giving him the flashback of her last moments and how she died which, yeah was due to the friend's son Friend's son and another teenager were getting drunk in the house when it was empty, tried to take advantage of the heavier, slower girl and when she said no turned into assault and rape She fell and broke her tooth and scraped her fingernail trying to get away which explains the earlier minging parts Then they suffocated her to Paint It Black...which is kinda appropriate song for the occasion Two teenage twats like that though would not have known how to build a chimney around the body so I'm betting the landlord knew Kevin's going to warn his friend before calling the police and they walk back to Kevin's house in the rain, his friend has a jacket but doesn't put it on which is kinda stupid... The friend knows! And was holding a gun under the jacket!!  But has now shot himself instead of Kevin. Landlords turned up and his son was the other person that killed Samantha and he definitely knows. This father-son doesn't look like they're gonna commit suicide though Landlord tells his son to have a drink and then they attack Kevin, not sure why he had to have a drink first though? Wife's turned up honking the horn of the car like bitch if there's ever at any point in this film you need to be an impatient bitch its now - go save your husband!! Still not sure of the feathers that Jake warned her about though.... Friend isn't dead! Comes up from the basement to shoot landlord and son! Dunno what the shot earlier when he was in the basement alone was about then? Landlords gun lets off a stray shot which goes through the floorboards, through Jake's bed and pillow....and there's feathers flying around Jakes room. Ok then maybe thats what he meant? Now the friend stands in the living room and says the line about they were gonna kill Kevin and his wife, it was a premonition too. Ghost Samantha's now putting her jacket on and walking away, finally put to rest :) Now they're moving house which seems like an unnecessary expense for a family expecting a second child, and put it this way at least they now know there's no dead bodies in the floorboard of that house at least. They might have to do this all again at another house... Jake can still hear ghosts as the car goes by, not sure if Kevin's still open though? And all the dreams/premonitions/visions make sense and were related to Samantha in some way...apart from knowing about his wife's gran. Howd he know that?
