it's nice that we're getting anything i guess, but, i'm gonna be what may come off as a little petty and whiny here; it'd be cool if either iteration of the gen 9 anime so far was actually about gen 9's characters instead of using them as cameos to promote original stories we have no investment in yet
it's like, i dunno, like the bait and switch with sonic appearing in wreck it ralph ads, except if wreck it ralph existing meant there would never be a sonic movie, and if you were invested in those characters and recognized they weren't generic platformer mascots, sucks for you, nobody cares
maybe they're just giving the DLC space to do its thing with them first (if they do anything at all...) but idk, i was cautiously optimistic about nemona in horizons, only for her to be a character of the day that the episode wasn't about, and pretty excited by "gen 9 prequel anime" only to find out it's going to be like, four short stories about OCs who have quick brushes with them. these are like the lacroix hint of what an anime about the game could've been like and you're left to imagine the rest yourself
i shouldn't be that surprised if the gen 8 anime reduced hero of galar hop to a character of the day with a level 5 wooloo in order to let the galaxy revolve around ash battling his brother because epic charizards, but man. what if it wasn't like that that now that ash is gone.
we haven't seen penny and team star at all because they're the hardest to talk about without bringing up the trauma of school bullying and the fear of being yourself at school when you're way too young to be dealing with all that drama responsibly. she's still learning to love and forgive herself and feel wanted.
arven's story is about, like, being a latchkey kid to a self-absorbed parent, being unsure how to feel about repairing the relationship or how seriously to take them saying they love him, and struggling to make friends due to misdirected resentment toward people he's jealous of for having apparently normal families and the stubborn self-reliance he was forced into. he's still trying to process things, find himself, and let people in.
nemona is supposed to have been a directionless lonely and depressed kid who hated being called gifted when everything was hard for her, until she met the player character and gained a peer who understood and appreciated she was a little different and she didn't have to mask her true self to have friends anymore. she's happy for now, but may still be under a little too much pressure to be perfect at the expense of her own personality, and probably won't deal well with being abandoned.
as much as they resonate with adults and are a little darker than usual pokemon fare, they're also smaller scale and realer. they are all stories that are explicitly about and meant to be relatable to kids going to school! y'know, your audience! you don't need to paint over them with 3-4 new characters and new stories every time like there was nothing there, or something shameful you need to sanitize and cover up! you can just use the game the way it is!
this got a little more heated than i intended, i just feel a little ridiculous waiting anxiously for loose scraps of a sign that this story isn't over and in the trash already and nemona's life-changing attachment to the player character isn't going to go totally ignored, as we are bombarded with what is supposed to be followup material that almost all seems eager to talk about literally anything else like they think the main story was a mistake they need to run away from
now, i'm not one to complain about original stories being told, but this was already a story that had room to grow. imagine a world where the gen 9 anime was actually about nemona, arven, penny, and the friend who brought them together. or what their lives were like before that friend came along. every episode. that would get me to watch the anime again and whatever movie came out for it. ask yourself why we don't have that, or even the traditional, like, 1-2 characters tagging along with the MCs per region thing that would leave us knowing them better than we know some irl friends
how was starting over with 100% original characters and new lore that might conflict hard with the upcoming DLC the safer bet? why is a 44 minute miniseries specifically for fans of the game making up OCs for them to get invested in and scrambling to tell their stories as quickly as possible before throwing them in the trash instead of being about the damn game?
sigh. i shouldn't get invested in a series that's about selling monster plushies just because it had one story that stuck with me
#paldean winds seems to mostly be making fun of the infodumping fat pokemon nerd character until he gets his own episode#y'know. the one that represents a lot of their viewers#while nemona is right there outside the window hyping up little kids about battles as usual because they don't hate her like her peers#honestly her overhearing the conversation and looking a little uncomfortable about it would've been a good touch#confirmation that the subtext i noticed is actually considered part of the canon and not a happy accident they'll never talk about again#something i have only gotten from pokemon masters so far#pokemon sv#pokemon#nemonaposting#pokemon scarvi#pokemon scarlet and violet#yada yada ten million other tags#'well at least there's the manga' the manga that inserted its own wacky main character that will probably also revolve around him#idk that one could still be good but it's also an AU and not the versions of the characters i'm invested in if that makes sense#i've been begging for pokemon to feel in touch with its audience forever and as soon as it is they treat it like a hot potato#i feel fucking obsessed because of how long this tease has been stretching on for no good reason#they could've just let us ACTUALLY hang out with the friend trio in vanilla postgame and shown them in the DLC a single time#and i could have had a normal social media presence for the past 3-6 months#instead of dreaming about a pokemon npc last night because of how little faith i have in her getting any justice outside of a fucking gacha#i am so sorry that this is who i am now except for the 2-3 of you who follow me specifically because i post these things#pennyposting#arvenposting

I'd happily be a playable character if I could be one who uses a sword. (An Oakeshott Type XIII by preference. A katana would be very much a second choice [even though I have a lot more training with those] since iaido tends to make for very short fights that leave the viewers going "wait, what just happened there??".)
Otherwise I would prefer to be an NPC who leans against the nearest wall critiquing the fighters' style and making side bets on how long they'll last. :)

Peek into my Mods folder...
This is dedicated to @alltimefail-sims or anyone who needs a little help with lag!
I have several mods I refer to as "efficiency mods" that are little quality-of-life tweaks that make the game smoother for me, either by reducing lag or reducing immersion-breaking hiccups. As always, your mileage may vary, but hopefully this is helpful to someone. :) List of mods under cut to keep your dash clean.
No Intro - Whether you are trying to 50/50 your mods, testing new CC, or just need to shave time off your game loading... get rid of the cinematic intro.
Free Will Delay - Do your sims curbstomp their queue and proceed to fuck off to something unrelated? Yeah, me too, until I got this mod. From the mod description: "[E]very time you tell your sim to do something, they will be forced to listen! …For 5 minutes. Then they get free will back again. This is probably why controlling Sims in Sims 4 feels so bad! Because you lose control the second they start doing what they're told. Even if you queue up actions, the total time is STILL five minutes- because it goes from the last direction you give your sim. So you can tell them to do 3 hours worth of stuff while paused…and they'll get control back after 5 minutes. This mod changes this timeframe to an option of your choosing, to make controlling your sims feel more rigid."
Simulation Unclogger - This is an oldie-but-goodie mod from Turbodriver that helps interrupt when Sims get stuck in an endless action loop.
Evolve/Fertilize All Plants - Kind of weird how we can Harvest All but you can't Evolve or Fertilize All, right?
No Empty Venues When Arriving - Helps with the issue of going to a community lot and waiting around for Sims to show up. May cause increased lag if you are bottlenecked by RAM.
Food Autonomy Overhaul - Stops your stupid Sims from eating ingredients, AND allows Sims who hate cooking to autonomously grab quick meals. Didn't know they wouldn't do that? Yeah. That's a thing.
Don't Do That! Version 1 and Version 2 - Removes autonomy on annoying actions that can't be affected by MCCC tuner, like reactions and some trait idle animations.
Less Obsession - Lowers autonomy for certain things without disabling entirely. I still want my Sims to paint, but I don't want them to start a new figure painting any time they are left unsupervised.
Smarter Self-Care - Makes Sims prioritize their needs better before they are uncomfortable. I only use the packages for NPCs and Pets.
NPC Relationship Autonomy Fix - Stops random Sims from breaking into your house to ask to be your BFF (and tunes the requirements so they actually have to be your friend first.)
Buy More Upgrade Parts - Allows you to buy a package of 50 upgrade parts for when you are grinding out handiness or robotics.
The following mods are all by Bienchen and don't have a direct page for each package. You can search by name pretty easily on their website. I recommend flipping through and grabbing anything you find useful - I have a total of 368 of their mods installed. Here are some highlights:
novisibleecoeffects - The aurora will nuke your framerate. I know it's pretty, but oh my god.
noautonomousbakewhitecake - Does what it says on the tin, keeps your house from being overrun by cakes.
harvestnogroupinteraction - Stops club members from autonomously harvesting plants. Those are MY death flowers!
lessemotionidles - Reduces unnecessary idle animations from emotions, great for preventing your Sims from looking flirty at inappropriate times...
lesspreferenceidles - Stops your sims from thinking about how much they like fishing/fitness/etc. when they should be doing things.
happytoddleridledisabled - Stops the idling from the Happy Toddler trait. SUPER useful for family gameplay.
laundry_buffsandsoloidlesfix - Stops or reduces idles related to laundry. It's just clothes, bro
eldertweak - Reduces elder animation idles.
hastopeewalkstyleforchildonly - Helps get your Sims to the toilet in a reasonable amount of time.
tinyhousebuffhider - I know I'm in a Tiny Home, I don't need a moodlet.
lottraiteffectshider - Hides the little floating lightbulbs around Sims heads from lot traits.
notraitnotifications - I know my geek likes video games, I don't need the pop-up every time I play.
noholidayoutcomenotification - Please don't rub my nose in the fact I forgot to celebrate.
nofestivalnotifications and nofestivalnotificationsound - Helpful when a pack is new, but years later... no thanks.
noenrollmentandscholarshipinfo - No more info screen about the two universities. I think most of us know it all by now.
nouprootplant - Never cry because of a misclick again
simschangeoutfitwhenhotorcold - Should have already been autonomous, but alas.
novisualpoliteintroeffects - I don't know if I am the only one, but the glowing really bothers me.
restaurantsittweak - Sit down and eat your dang food! No more wandering Sims.
longerprom - Takes 6 hours instead of 4 so you can actually do something.
I probably have other QoL mods that could be helpful, but these are my recommendations to start with. Love to all the modders that keep this game playable <3

OK so finally finished 😅 I mean... I could go on fiddling forever with this lot but hey, I'm happy enough with the result. A residential block in San Myshuno with an art gallery and center, a bar, a Tomarani eatery, a cafeteria, a café, a community greenhouse, a kid's play area, and a little marketplace for your Sims to make some extra cash. Oh, and a spa. 6 rental units, 5 apartments with 2 bedrooms and one bath each, unfurnished except for the bathroom and kitchen, and a townhouse, unfurnished. Download and more info under the cut.
To make the "community" venues functional you can use either the Auto Employee mod by @littlemssam or this mod by @down-in-simsland, both work great, it's up to your preference. Littlemssam's is more flexible, you can allow or disallow the NPCs as you wish, and it gives you the option to hire massage therapists and a busker (and a caterer since the apartments have a stove and a fridge, haven't tested it but if your Sim hates cooking why not?). On the other hand DISL's is specifically designed for residential rentals and will bring more Sims to your lot, and the NPCs work on a realistic schedule. And if you don't like using mods you can still hire any NPC for 100$ (I haven't tested if this mod works on residential lots).
Conversely you could add a venue to a residential unit and use Littlemssam's Live in Business mod.
I know, so many options LOL!
The art gallery includes the Street Gallery item for your painter Sims to sell their work, and the room in the back is a little community art center with an easel and a woodworking table. Sims with the wellness skill can also earn money by giving massages at the spa (I tried giving a yoga class but nobody showed up but I guess it works if your Sim invited a few people over?) There's also a sales table and a HCH food stand in the outdoor area at the back, and a greenhouse with a flower arrangement table, tough I can't promise your neighbor won't steal your crops...
I think that's about it. Oh, disclaimer: Sims are dumb, they'll order food at the diner and eat it in the bar, or if they have the neat trait they might want to clean all the dishes on the lot 🤷🏼‍♂️ I recommend disabling autonomy, but still, that's how it is... also the lot and unit names won't "stick", hope that get fixed at some point.
The lot costs 230.916$ and is 30x30, I placed it on the Waterside Warble lot, but the Old Salt House lot is the same size.
I think I must have used items from every single pack out there, and remember to enable MOO before placing. Have fun!

Here's a fresh Argy doodle to go with the answers!
The personality: They're carefree, highly social, sometimes a bit too direct, and quite flirty. She craves human (in a broad sense) connection and she's highly social. Which means Argy is absolutely thriving right now as they're just studying medicine at the moment.
They came with quite a lot of medical knowledge and studying is an attempt to try to know why did they even have that in their database and personality. It's almost a bit of an obsession: She feels the need to study every little bit that makes up flesh-based lifeforms, because she feels they're far too fragile. Argyros is caring to an uncomfortable degree at times, but it comes from their need to ensure everyone is in perfect condition.
They're more than happy to help heal a wound and maybe study you a bit on the way. And their skills as a healer are quite good, even if having a dozen eyes and a giant halo on you can be a bit overwhelming.
Despite his fairly open attitude, he speaks little of his concerns or worries, and does rarely share any detail about his more personal thoughts. There's definitely something wrong with them, but there's just one person they've talked about this. Despite how much Argyros love putting others back together, they keep themselves quite private.
The backstory: I can't really share all that much since it's spoilery for my fellow players (as she's gonna be a NPC in a Pathfinder 2e game), but she basically has not much of an idea about it herself. She was suddenly aware of existing one day, and had some memories and knowledge, but no exact idea of where were they made, and for. Trying to find a place to fit in was hard, and trying to search for answers was even harder: It seems there is something actively trying to not let them do so.
They're not entirely sure where does their divinity come from either. It's not unusual for people to be born with extraplanar influences, but Argyros was either created or infused with that divinity. But she doesn't know who or why, and isn't too willing to admit that they just have no clue. One of the main party members is gonna be a proper celestial, and I'm sure they'll be a bit of at odds about this!

Warnings: None... well it talks about your card being defeated....
Summary: Genius Invocation TCG has taken all of Teyvat by storm! People from all over have decks of cards; ask almost anyone and they'll be down to play a round. You earned great renown from being a famous adventurer… or maybe you're a travelling merchant, or a bard from Monstadt. Maybe you're a scholar from Sumeru, a Knight of Favonius, a Tenryou Commissioner or even a member of the Liyue Qixing. Whatever you do, you garnered the attention of the creators of Genius Invocation! How do your favourite genshin characters react to a new card, of none other than you, being released?
Notes: WOWIE okay so this might be one of my more ambitious projects! I'm going to make a series that will hopefully include every playable character and even some beloved NPCs! I'll keep them as short headcannons because there's a lot of characters to go through, and I'll do my best to make them non-repetitive.

•He wouldn’t use your card all the time, only when a situation requires it. He’d be careful and tactful using it, but it always pays off.
•He never loses when he uses your card. Some might think your card is overpowered or his lucky charm, but he just knows how to maximize its strengths.
•Would be a bit jokingly peeved that you got a care before him.

•Alhaitham wouldn’t react much on the surface, much like anything else, but he would understand the significance this holds for you. After all, of all the people in Teyvat there aren’t that many cards.
•Would feel a small amount of pride for you, and he would play your card the next time he begrudgingly accepts to play cards with the boys.
•He’s annoyingly objective about the strengths and weaknesses of your card. But when he knocks out all of his opponents in only a few rounds… well, you’re just glad he’s using your card well.
•If anyone calls favouritism for him using your card so often he just shrugs it off, saying your card simply synergizes the best with other cards, allowing for many different combinations to win in any scenario.
•Definitely gets jealous annoyed when he sees others using your card because only he can use your card he claims others don’t know how to properly use it.
•Bonus: Kaveh would ask you to confiscate your card from Alhaitham's deck so he stops losing to him on game nights LMAO

•Kaveh would be SO hyped about your card and would make sure EVERYONE else knows that.
•He would win 1 (one) round with your card and claim it’s the best card ever and it’s his lucky card and he’ll win every game with it

•Would actually do some looking into your card’s abilities and what other cards go best with it just so he can prove to you show others that it IS a good card and he can win with it!!!

•At first she would feel like you betrayed her.. but then she takes it out on her opponent. I love her but she’s a bit of a sore loser.
•Probably just looks at the card when she’s lonely and she misses you. She talks to the card and tells stories of her journey as if she were talking to you, and promises she’ll tell you in person one day. I love her so much her story is so sad she deserves so much better please let me hug you and be with you always omg

I imagine the mechanics would be...
🌱 Farming
Buy plastic crops, grow them, and sell them to Zacharie. Zacharie usually does the selling for you, but maybe you can barter for a higher price if you have the skill (and CHARISMA?!). Your crops would depend on the season, so there would be a variety!
You'll have the usual tools that you can upgrade: A hoe, pickaxe, axe, watering can, fishing pole, and a weapon!
You can upgrade your farm, like adding a kitchen, bedroom, and workshop.
🐄 Animals
For now, I can only imagine cows who produce metal and meat.
You'll have a butchery skill tree, and the quality of your meat and metal would depend on that and how well taken cared of your cow is.
🍳 Crafting and Cooking
You can craft items and make delicious food. Make sure you have the important ingredients!
⛏ Mining
You can go into the mines and find rare minerals and gemstones.
👻 Enemies and Combat
The only enemies in the game would be specters! Ahh! Ahh! They'll spawn in the mines, so you have to watch out. The combat system wouldn't be so complicated and is easy to master, make sure you improve your weapons and combat skill!
Of course, you can explore the world as you'd like. I imagine a large map that consists of your farm, a bunch of vacant lots for you to purchase, the Town where the Bakery, The Cafe, The Library, and the Town Hall are at, the Plaza, the beach, lake, Le Zacharie, the woods, the mountain and the mines. NPCs would have their own schedules, struggles, preferences, and quests to complete.
Heart Cutscenes...
You'll have 10 hearts with each 'villager' or townsfolk. And I'll be releasing what a cutscene would probably look like in-game! You'll have multiple choices so choose wisely;;
My favorite villager has got to be ALL. But I really like The Batter. And I think you'll like the storyline I have in store for him.

Shoot do I have to actually get SR now? I thought I could skip it because Musou but that sounds so rad.
Fate/Samurai Remnant plays a lot like a musou that realized Fate/Extella was kind of ass to play through after every servant just buttonmashed random attack buttons to clear through the entire game, so while it's still a musou at it's core they actually make you think about things.
Many enemies will try to block your attacks, perfectly dodging a strike lets you do a Riposte that breaks through even a Servant's guard, once Iori fights in one style long enough (or pulls off certain moves) he enters a flow state that lets him switch styles while keeping a buff from the first style that encourages style swapping over the course of a fight, Saber actually fights in tandem with Iori (they take on enemies you don't, follow up on your attacks, sometimes even jump to your rescue when youre at low health), and non-trash enemies will actually try to kick your ass into next week by attacking often and reacting to you.
But more than that, it's just good. This was clearly a budget title for Koei Tecmo, but made with a lot of love and attention to detail.
A good example is how when Iori is asked what his goal for the Waxing Moon Ritual is, he responds that he's simply planning to end the ritual because it endangers people. It's a familiar answer—it's exactly what Shirou says in Fate/Stay Night—However, since Samurai Remnant isn't a visual novel, you can do things like wander around and examine the destruction left behind, and find stuff outside of the main story's view, like this.

While Saber and Lancer were having fun shooting fire and water all over the place and wrecking Asakusa, Iori's concern for his neighbors and city was absolutely right. One of them died that night in the crossfire.
You can go up to other townspeople and they'll be talking about how lightning struck the village, or mourning their destroyed shops or homes, and others will be expressing relief that Iori's okay after that disaster because his house was struck first.
These guys are the most generic of generic looking NPCs, and yet the detail in having NPCs actually deal with the aftermath of the sick anime fights while expressing relief that their neighbor Iori is okay actually breathes more life into the setting and makes it feel lived in than making an expansive open world sandbox.

features I'd like for future bg3 patches:
- manual grouping: [exists!]
sometimes I dont want to move the whole party at once, or split everyone. I would like to have the option to group party members to each other. Like grouping my 2 rogues together because they give each other proximity advantage for sneak attacks, or grouping the melee fighters together, while leading the casters to a save spot where they can attack from above and be save. Something similar is already happening in multiplayer but I would like it for single player aswell (I have been informed this feature already exists and I just didnt know. Very cool)
- scenic spots:
Exactly what it says. I just want spots where I can move the camera more freely and have a good view of something cool or beautiful. It does sound pretty hard to implement though.
- more enemy last words:
I would really like the option to get an additional cutscene or something if I don't kill boss enemies or important npcs in a fight, but instead knock them out in the fight. I was honestly expecting a cutscene after knocking out Gortash or Raphael. Even if it's just them begging for mercy and we have the chance to kill them or to spare them. Banning Raphael from the house of hope and making him aware that you could easily kill him seems more satisfying than just plain killing him and then its over. (Especially because the fight was a bit too easy.) I know this is a lot of effort and the voice actors would have to be up for it aswell so I dont expect much but it would be really cool!
- Zevlor romance.

- illithid memory sharing cutscenes
I'm all for more story cutscenes. We got one for shadowheart and I would absolutely adore seeing other characters backgrounds in visual form. As much as I love the narrators voice I just want to see baby Lae'zel and tiny Wyll. OH young Gale in his mothers kitchen with the bunnies! I have a lot of imagination and visualisation skills, but other people don't and I want them to experience those scenes aswell!
- consequences for using the tadpoles and mindflayer powers
I used the mindflayer tadpole powers ONCE in my entire playthrough. Didn't put any more tadpoles into my head. I was a bit bummed out when I found out there were no consequences for using/not using them. Seems like the final fight should be harder the more tadpoles have made Tav's little pond of a brain their home.
- manual insight and perception checks
This one is not going to happen but I would like to have it anyway. In DnD I'd sometimes ask/get asked "what do I see?/Do I believe them?/Can I use an action to check the room for anything like traps etc before entering?" Some of that is already happening automatically but I would like to have the option to manually trigger it ONCE every scene/location. Not once per character. Just one check, no reroll.
- access companion inventory
this might already be possible but I'd like the option to access the inventory of companions who aren't on my team currently. It would be incredibly helpful for un-/equipping items when a character isnt on your team currently. maybe the solution to this would be items being stored in a chest when the companion isn't in your team. a chest that is bound to their camp, cant be destroyed or moved etc. and once they join your team youll have to reequip them BUT they'll already have all their stuff right there? idk how hard it would be to implement the auto reequip option when you have the companion join your team
- give Karlach a good ending dammit
She deserves to be happy and I know you can go to Avernus with her but you have to leave your love interest behind unless you romances Wyll and that sucks so much ass.
What would you like to see in future patches? What do you think won't ever happen but you'd wish to see anyway?

Hi! I saw your tags on the escape room poll that Team Liam would be last and I wanted to ask why? While I agree that they wouldn’t be first, I wouldn’t put them last either. Do you think they would just have too much conflict to use their skills?
I didn't realize this was from last night's 4SD and because OP said "Battle Royale" I assumed that it was in some way a combat-oriented escape room, in which the lack of a dedicated/significant healer (Vax has, what, 30 lay on hands and a couple low level spell slots) and the fact that Orym is one decent but not incredible tank among two of the most tissue-paper characters in terms of HP would spell their defeat.
With the understanding that this is a traditional escape room here's my thought process:
From my escape room experience there are four skills that map easily into D&D skills and one that does not map into the D&D character skill chart but does map extremely well onto players. They are:
Investigation/raw intelligence. How good are you at inspecting and comprehending things?
Sleight of Hand/raw dexterity. How good are you at manipulating objects/fine motor control?
Persuasion or Intimidation/raw charisma. How good are you at convincing people to work together or perform tasks?
Perception. How good are you at generally noticing things right away?
The most crucial thing, however, is "do you try dumb shit and push buttons and try to figure out everything quickly." And so:
Toss up between Travis and Sam's character teams in terms of the D&D skills; Chetney and Veth are both particularly suited for escape rooms between strong intelligence and high dexterity. I think Sam's team overall is probably stronger; Tary's mechanical knowledge and FCG's desire for everyone to work together and Scanlan's general buffing abilities/capacity to get people to do what he wants (presumably win) mean everyone has a lot to bring to the table. FCG is the only one with decent perception, iirc, though, and Travis as a player is fundamentally a button pusher and therefore his characters will inherit this energy even though Chetney and Fjord are going to be carrying the entire thing (although, actually, Grog will probably respond well to being asked to perform tasks or look for things).
Taliesin's characters have the combined skills but unfortunately with the except of Caduceus they all have the trait "does not work well with others" and Ashton and Percy in particular wouldn't listen to Caduceus and they're the ones with the most relevant skills here. Beau could do an escape room on her own and probably would (note: someone told me this is what Marisha said on 4SD and I agree wholeheartedly) but necessarily will be less effective than groups who work together. Vex would do pretty well and would be competitive enough, but none of Laura's characters are particularly expert in investigation and if Vex and Imogen clash it is 100% over in terms of getting out in time, though I think Jester would make a valiant go of it. None of Ashley's characters crack +1 in investigation and no one has 20 dex, and I doubt most would be interested or competitive about this, though I do think they'd get along the best by far.
Rounding things out, I suspect that Liam's characters are just behind Taliesin's in terms of conflict; it won't be quite as heated but I get the sense all three of them, all of whom are very much about working together with their respective parties, will not be very good at working together with each other, and Orym is the least likely to take the lead despite most suited for it. Caleb is extremely smart but I don't think he'd be the most invested in going super fast. I don't think they'll be last - Ashley or Taliesin are more likely - but they'd certainly not be first. The NPCs, meanwhile, have the advantage of two people who know each other well, a very agreeable and mature person in Eshteross, and Essek and Allura will probably vibe solely on the basis of being wizards who know and like Caleb if they don't know each other personally yet. Iirc Essek and Eshteross should have decent dex scores though not 20, and everyone has diplomatic skills. I believe Allura's wisdom is respectable as well. They'll certainly be the most well-behaved and adult about it.
In conclusion, you're right, probably not last (would almost certainly be last in the combat scenario I mistakenly imagined) but absolutely should not be first.

As someone who's written and read a fair amount of stories with fat or weight-gaining characters, do you have any advice on how best to convey fatness and everything that comes with it in text? I'm a very visual person, and there are certain things (like physique, weight, etc.) that feel so much easier to convey in art than in prose. At the same time, overloading the story with attempts to get something as all-encompassing as the body a character has At All Times in every single line or paragraph (how they walk, sitting in furniture, etc.) feels unnecessary and perhaps risks turning readers away.
Any advice is appreciated, if you have any!
i'm going to assume that you're asking this in a sexy way, since i have a lot of people who follow me that wanna fuck fat people either because they're (speaking frankly and without judgment) fetishists, or because they have taste, so i think you're probably asking to convey how to describe the fat appearance as attractive. most of my advice is gonna revolve around that
first thing is that you probably shouldn't bring their weight into everything, that's kinda the same thing that fatphobic people do and even in reverse it still doesn't feel good. it really should only come up during bodily interactions, when describing appearance/feeling on appearance, or if the POV character just really wants to have sex with them. there's obviously other situations where it would be fine, but we could spend all day listing those, so i'll just keep it to my examples
that being said, when you do wanna bring it up, there's a couple ways to have it be natural and not scream I AM REPRESENTING A GROUP or anything like that. this is a flawed method since it can easily fall into infantilizing territory if you're not careful, but softness is a good place to start. even people who like skinny people like softness. soft skin, soft faces, boobs, they're all conventionally attractive things that are still related very closely to softness. when describing a fat character as attractive, softness and warmth as descriptors can make even people who don't find fatness attractive at least see where you're coming from.
in more risque works, the fit of clothes is also a good indicator of describing fatness. personally, i find the little indent of a belly-button on a slightly too small shirt really attractive, but other things are also good to write wrt fatness. the way the chest pushes up against a shirt, the fit of sleeves, butts, stuff like that is all a good visualizer of a person's size in a way that's attractive and natural-seeming
the last thing i can think of is probably just to like... not be coy? no one's going to kill you for saying a character has a big belly, and only reactionaries on either side would be mad at that being described as attractive. my man brennan has done both ends of this where he described alejandro in tuc as "extremely rotund", being vague, and an NPC in calamity as a "handsome man [with a] big stomach". it seems to be a very popular thing in YA romances that happen to have a fat love interest where they'll just kind of like, immediately switch to the fat one's POV during intimate scenes so that they don't have to describe someone finding a fat person attractive -- don't do that. you can be very upfront about what someone's body looks like. it's fine.
here's a piece of erotic fanfiction that goes about all of this very well. i'm not into wwdits, but like, yknow.
also, if you do wanna use a euphemism; if you describe a man as having "wide hips", people are gonna assume you mean he's fat. that's about all i've got in that department lol

headcanons for idia/vil, my most beloved underrated ship 💙💜
after the STYX incident idia wants to thank vil for saving him from falling into the underworld, but gets too nervous to say anything every time he tries to bring it up. he's terrified of saying or doing something wrong, since if he embarrasses himself he won't be able to just reset like in a video game
he realizes during a gaming session with yuu and some of their other friends at ramshackle dorm that part of why he gets so nervous is because he's had a crush on vil ever since the day vil saved him
he decides that he is not ever going to confess this to vil, because obviously vil would never date an F-tier guy like him when he could get with practically anyone he wanted, but he'll still have to thank him for saving his life
and then when he finally gets up the courage to do so... it ends with vil confessing to idia and idia is half-convinced he's been teleported into some kind of strange dating sim based on a movie vil starred in, with himself as a romanceable NPC, without him realizing it
but nope, he's still in the real world and vil just?? genuinely likes him?? vil's confession gives idia the courage to tell him he likes him back, and they start dating.
vil is just as happy as idia is to stay in and not do anything fancy for dates. he's often incredibly busy and constantly in the public eye, after all, so he cherishes getting to just have nice, simple movie nights with his boyfriend beside him
sometimes vil will come over while idia is gaming and not even say anything, he'll just cuddle up beside him or sit right in his lap. of course, he tries to take a peek at what game idia is playing first, because you do not mess him up in one of his online multiplayer games. but 9 times out of 10 idia loves this and will gladly let vil tell him about his day before launching into an explanation of what he's been doing in the game.
vil obviously inspires idia to take better care of himself, and helps him feel less anxious and self-concious, but idia does a lot for vil too! idia helps vil relax and unwind and get to just be a normal teenager sometimes, instead of always having to be the vil schoenheit, world famous celebrity
idia admires how hardworking, talented, and intelligent vil is and vil absolutely loves how passionate and perceptive idia is, and how driven he can be when he really puts his mind to something.
vil thinks idia's hair is beautiful, and loves to play with it or style it while idia talks. he's a bit nervous to do so at first, but idia assures him that the flames won't hurt him
vil also loves being flirty and complimenting/teasing idia just to see if he can get his hair to turn pink. he succeeds nearly every time.
sometimes when idia is playing games that don't have voice acting (like pokemon for example), he and vil will have fun together by doing their own voice acting. if they're hanging out at ramshackle, yuu and grim and their other friends join the cast! but idia always makes sure vil gets to voice protagonists or other heroic characters
almost anytime these two have a movie night or a gaming session it ends with them having long, spirited discussions and debates about the media. they'll talk about the techniques and inspirations that went into creating it (and you just know idia knows so. much. trivia. he probably collects all of the art/making of books for his favorite media), about theories and headcanons, what they like and dislike about it, just... anything
vil loves talking with idia about costume design and analyzing the fashion styles of fictional worlds. he is gravely offended by many of the fashion choices in the RPGs idia plays
idia often catches himself infodumping to vil about his favorite anime, games, and other media and gets embarrassed and suddenly just stops. vil pretty much always says something like "why did you stop there? it was just getting interesting" or tells him to keep going. sometimes he'll even give idia a kiss on the cheek to encourage him. he doesn't always understand what idia is talking about, but he genuinely enjoys hearing him talk about the things he loves.
this is basically canon already, but vil absolutely loves ortho. which is good, because ortho loves him right back and idia would never date someone who didn't have his little brother's stamp of approval.
idia often thinks it's almost unbelievable that he even gets to have vil in his life, like they're in some kind of fairytale-inspired shoujo anime. vil thinks idia needs to wake up and realize that he's not the only one who feels so lucky.

Happy 1 Year QSMP!!!

It's such a bittersweet feeling celebrating the 1 year anniversary of QSMP. There have been so many events, friends, happy times, sad times, and so much more during this time.
Firstly I want to send a huge hug and thanks to everyone working (past or present) on this project. From the builds, the npc actors, the twitter updates, the enigma/lore writers and the funny little bloopers along the way everything done by the admins and Quackity Studios team to bring this project so much life and entertainment, I THANK YOU!! The QSMP has been such a joy to watch as someone who's been on this journey since day 1.
Secondly with the current situation regarding the mistreatment of team members and the dismissal of the updates account it has been emotional to look back on the good this project has done while knowing now how difficult it was for those making it. Much love and support to the team members who left the project and those still on. QSMP is not going to be the same without Dapper and Pomme. I don't know if Ramon will be replaced with another actor, but to the two Ramon admins know that your portrayal of the character will be greatly missed and you guys truly shaped an amazing character. Ramon and Dapper being friends before this project and then carrying that friendship through the characters is still one of my favorite things. Agent 18 and Dansir both brought so much joy through their various characters and behind the scenes work. Thank you guys so much.
Like everyone else, I don't know if this will be the end of the eggs, if they'll replace the egg actors for those who have left, or if they will eventually be able to resume their roles [at least for a proper goodbye :') ], but I do have hope this isn't the end of the QSMP. I have hope the proper measures will be taken so that reimbursement of payment will be made and moving forward all workers will be properly paid. It just sucks so much that so many people that truly love this project suffered so long and it was something that could have been solved much sooner had it been properly handled.
I will continue supporting this project and hope the team listens to Pomme's request of not substituting another actor to her character. I miss q!Jaiden and q!Max as well and am so happy that they were a part of the QSMP, their characters were so funny and cool and honestly a lot of their character's actions have had such a big impact of the story and the server itself.
So here's to a year of QSMP and all the fun communities and memories, and hopefully here's to many more! <3

Title: E-Mail Guy's first day lol
HEY EVERY !! ITS HIM! N0 BUDDIES FAVORITE [[E-MAIL GUY!!!]] 
Well, well, here is my first ever DELTARUNE fanart! I've loved this game since it first came out, and while on disability, I played Chapter 2 and loved it even more than Chapter 1. This guy captured my [[HeartShapeObject]] the moment he popped out of the trash. He's officially my favorite character ever made (yes, I am dead serious about this.) I REALLY like this character, so expect to see more of him from my gallery even if you don't want to!
Why did I draw him this way? Answers Below!
Spamton's back story is mysterious, and the game doesn't give us much to work with regarding his past. This drawing is based on my interpretation of him before he became the lovable trash puppet. There are a lot of fan interpretations of Spamton as an Addison, but I rarely see anyone draw him with black hair. I like his contrast with the black hair against the white skin (is he Snow White??!), but I understand why fans choose to depict him with white hair while he was still the "e-mail guy." I included a variant with the white hair for anyone who prefers that version. The white hair makes sense, but I like the idea of him having black hair as an "error" or anomaly. The gray outline is based on the sprite of both him and the Addisons. I'm a little bummed out to see most fan art does not include their cute little glow. No other NPCs have this look, so I believe it was intentional. 
My theories regarding the Addisons and Spamton are based on my experiences working in Sales and Customer Service (and yes, at some point, I was the e-mail guy lmfao.) Spamton confirmed in a Q&A that he was shorter than the others before his downfall. It's hard to tell in this picture, but he is still short, just closer to canon height, which is slightly shorter than Kris. I imagine the Addisons as being like male ballet dancers because of their attire and pointed feet. I'll probably write a speculative fanfic on this because I find how these characters work fascinating from the perspective of someone who studied advertising and sales. I also did ballet for nine years, so funny that. HAHA!
In this image, Spamton has not yet been relegated to the e-mail job just yet as they test him to see how well he performs on the floor. From my experience, if you suck at doing something upfront but your employer still likes you, they'll move you into another position. So, this is before they do that. LOL  Likewise, if you are not very good at ballet, you get sent to the back or to a spot where the audience can't see you very well. 
Anyway, I hope to do more pics of this character and his co-workers soon because I really like them, haha!
