On a scale from Avatar the Last Airbender (“what adaptation?”) to Lockwood and Co (“nearly word-perfect dialogue, the only changes were slight and were certified improvements if anything”) how good was the adaptation of your fave original content?
*Shadow and Bone is the middle ground for (“Substantial changes were made to the original, but I don’t even care cuz goddamn this shit slaps.”)

i literally saw this picture and immediately thought what a perfect story you could write about it😭😭
tomorrow will be the prince’s 21st birthday.
your mother has had you setting up the banquet hall since the start of the week.
it’s been a struggle between laboring away in the kitchen’s and decorating the expansive area for the young Alphas adult ceremony.
his mother, the head Omega of the household, has been breathing down your neck everyday, insisting you scrub the absolute most minuscule spot from the ballroom floor on your hands and knees.
on your hands and knees as you were in the elder prince’s quarters later that evening. the demanding older brother who loved to control you and use you in the dark.
“with Jeno stepping into adulthood, mother has been berating me to find a mate.” Jaemin scoffed, pressed to your side after ravaging your exhausted body for the last three hours.
“do you believe she is suspicious of us?” it frightens you to ask him, enacting fear and worry that the prince will reprimand you for speaking back to him.
Jaemin’s mood must be light tonight, because he smiles, he strokes your cheek in a gentle manner. admiring you the way he once used to daily, before presenting and discarding your friendship.
friendship replaced by hierarchies and pure royal bloodlines. friendship you once cherished like the days spent in the fields picking ripe cherries with your two best friends, the two sweetest morsels gone sour before your eyes with years and time gone by.
“I don’t care what my mother wishes of me.” Jaemin states, returning to his cold and confident way. “I will be king, even if I must dethrone my own father.”
Jaemin changed after presenting as an Alpha. you could no longer call him your friend, only your master, evident by the way he never once spoke your name again.
servant. that is all you are to him now. a servant who could never carry his future pups, a servant who only deserved his ‘love’ behind locked doors in the middle of the night when his mother’s sleeping pills had already kicked in.
having a part of him felt better than nothing, at least that is what you would tell yourself.
the rising sun would erase your pain, bring on a new day of acting and pretending that the elder prince’s derogatory behavior toward you meant nothing. not when you’d land in his bed once more in the middle of the night.
not even as you watched royal Omegas nearly fall to their knees to garner his attention at the ball the next evening.
“my stomach seems to be upset with the last course my mother planned for tonight.” Jeno’s voice deteres your attention away from your beloved prince.
he’s regal in the crisp white suit that head Omega marveled over for weeks. a silk creme cummerbund custom tailored to fit his trim waist perfectly, defining the width of his broad shoulders and muscular neck adorned with the mother queen’s pearls and honorary royal coming of age pendant. a stunning vision in comparison to the drabe lifeless garments for all of the servants to wear, shades that could blend easily to the wall.
invisible, unable to disrupt celebrations that only those with wealth and alleged holy blood blessed by the moon Goddess are meant to enjoy.
invisible to all, except him.
Jeno followed you around like a sappy pup. the younger prince managed his free time with your time, offering to clean his own living quarters so that the two of you could spend the time by the lake. feed the ducks and bask in the afternoon sun as you did growing up, before your mother had difficulties completing her tasks with old age and pain overcoming her body over years of strenuous service.
head Omega never held much issue with your closeness to her sons, not until you presented as an Omega yourself. from that day forward she assigned you only the most grueling tasks, worked you from dusk till dawn until your back and feet screamed for mercy.
Jeno’s tender puppy eyes constantly searching for you throughout the evening didn’t help. fortunate that his mother was far too distracted with entertaining royal guests that traveled far from different lands day and night to be here.
“some hot tea for the young master?” you smiled, a playfulness added to your question.
Jeno sighs at the counter near you, sneaking into the kitchens with you after whining that you must make him a remedy to cure the pangs of pain shooting throughout his tummy. the baby Alpha pouted, patting his corseted abdomen while batting long thick eyelashes until you gave in.
“ah, don’t call me that.” he grunts, playing with the strings holding your apron together. “Jaemin is the master. he wants the crown, I could care less.”
“the throne is rightfully yours as much as it is his, young Alpha.”
“stop that!” Jeno sighs, chuckling and untying your apron. “you know this changes nothing right? I do not wish to run this land.”
“then what do you wish for my prince?” you ask, setting aside the boiled herbs. allowing the Alpha to maneuver you and place the back of your waist against the countertop.
“there is something..” Jeno removes his suit jacket, loosening the first row of buttons from the sheer beige top, displaying an unmarked clavicle. one you will never have the opportunity to bite or claim as your own.
“what is it, my prince?”
“you know that I have only ever wanted you.” he confesses. less than secret, Jeno has chased you for years now, unbeknownst to his older brother. “but you want him.”
he knows, he’s always known.
Jeno’s lips brush against yours airy light, tempting, pleading for more than a kiss. he grips your waist with strength and control, a control that says you can still get away, you can make him stop. a control that says he would give up everything for you, he would cherish you and leave all of this behind.
“I want you to be mine.” his nose grazes down your neck in search of your scent gland. lightly pressed to your skin taking deep inhales, inhales that drum through his chest, roaring ‘mate’. his mate.
he knows he can’t bite, can’t leave marks. Jaemin will see, he’ll find out..
Jeno unbuttons your blouse, sucking lightly at the mounds of your breast. licking and nipping at your hardened nipples. enough to ignite a familiar ache between your thighs, clutching at his nape as he draws your breast between his pink pout.
“I’ll do anything for you.” the Alpha says, determined. “my mate.”

A common criticism of the first season is that, as a result of being only 8 episodes set over the course of 6 months, the first season doesn't have much room to develop its characters, relationships, and storylines. Many point out that the show would have better benefitted from having a 10 or even 12 episode season, and would actually welcome filler episodes so as to further flesh out the dynamics between the characters and the various plot threads.
In particular, the Overlords such as the Vees and the five month period skipped over are cited as areas that could use expansion, as the former are rendered advertised extras due to their lack of involvement in the greater plot, and the latter is seen as ripe for a period of character exploration like Angel Dust's struggles with redemption.

The lost community of Lightning
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A 1962 map from the Atlanta-Fulton Planning Board shows where Black households were located in the city, as a way of mapping what was termed as "negro expansion."
You can find similar maps throughout the GSU Digital Collections. Planners kept track of where Black communities were located -- especially low-income ones -- often to peg a place as being ripe for "renewal," which appears to have been code for: "erase this place and fill it with something that appeals to white suburbanites."
The area immediately to the left of the map legend was the location of a neighborhood called Lightning, which was partially demolished to make way for the Georgia World Congress Center, and the remaining pieces were demolished prior to construction of the Georgia Dome in the 1980s.
See the second image for a look at this same area now. The land on the north side of the Mercedes-Benz stadium is where Lightning stood.
The community might have gone undocumented and forgotten if not for the careful work of an Atlanta journalist.
Tumblr media
In 2017, local writer Max Blau did a deep investigation of the history of the neighborhood which was published in Bitter Southerner.
In the wake of that investigation, Councilmember Michael Julian Bond wrote an ordinance for creating a commission to develop some kind of memorial for Lightning.
I've sent an email to his office to find out if anything came of that. From my own brief search, I couldn't find any evidence in Council records that the commission ever met and produced anything, but hopefully they did.
I'll update with whatever I find out from Bond. I think there absolutely should be something that recognizes that people lived here. And I'd like to see a lot of other recognition of where people lived before neighborhoods were demolished for various urban renewal projects in Atlanta.

Massive idea/sketch dump below (just rainworld oc stuff/regions) :
I'm not sure how to set this out but here are just a ton of ideas for ocs/regions some I've mentioned and others which are newer.
Regions (so far) :
The Perch:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A large vertical region frequently used as a nesting ground by vultures to keep away from rain due to its height.
Very few creatures other than vultures (mostly blue and white lizards).
It was re-purposed as a communications array for iterators.
Pipes (placeholder name):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another vertical region.
The lower section of the region is covered with pearls hanging from ceilings and various pipes alongside the many many scavengers that live there.
The upper section is quiet with only a few scavengers daring to make the journey up.
Other than the scavengers, frequently seen creatures are mostly centipedes of the large variety, various types of lizards and occasionally eggbugs.
(don't have a name for this one yet):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The region has few areas with stable ground, most of it being located above a certain death pit.
I'm still figuring this one out.
Tunnels (placeholder name):
Tumblr media
A very very long tunnel that reaches far across many regions.
Most walls are completely covered with graffiti.
The region is dark with little lighting.
Spiders are the most common creature found here.
Corroded Overgrowth (mabey permanent name) :
Tumblr media
A large rainforest like area similar to the outer expanse.
Very large biodiversity.
most of it is covered with plants, some reaching above the cloud layer.
Many creatures there have specific traits to survive there.
Creatures and stuff:
Tumblr media
Gardener slugcats:
Despite their name gardener slugcats are normal slugcats who have moved to the corroded overgrowth.
What makes them different is their method of survival.
These slugcats have an interesting relationship with overgrown pole plants.
These pole plants provide the slugcats shelter and in turn the slugcats defend the pole plant from sporezards.
Overgrown poleplants:
A very large species of poleplants that acts similarly to monster kelp by sensing subtle movements.
Located all across the floor of the Corroded Overgrowth.
Sporezard/spore lizard/mushroom lizard:
Tumblr media
These lizards are omnivores that mostly eat the giant poleplants located in the Corroded Overgrowth alongside worm grass and other small prey.
Their main method of hunting is releasing a spore-like gas to numb the surrounding prey and then attack.
Sporezards have weak bites making it easy to escape from them, but they are good climbers.
Drop corn plant:
A small vine-like plant that has many seeds growing from the side.
Ripe drop corn seeds provide 1/2 a food pip while unripe drop corn provide 1/4 of a food pip and eating a lot of it makes the creature sleepy.
Usually found hanging from ceilings or pipes.
This part 1 because tumblr only allows 10 images

how would hibiki interact with a copy of himself? how would you explore clones (particularly of androids) as a concept? what if (id imagine with some memory expansion) someone were to duplicate an android's data and have like, a copy of it in them? many such possibilities...
(sidenote, totally unrelated: i used the self-checkout at the grocery store for the first time, i clicked something on the screen & after a sec it was like "unexpected item in baggage area" and i immediately thought of the squidward yelling image)
ANDROID CLONES ARE SOOOOOOOO FUN TO EXPLORE BECAUSE IT'S SO FUCKED UP. halosoft androids are intentionally designed to NOT be identical; their faces are randomly generated, their personalities develop independently based on unique experiences, and people LOVE customizing them because it's creepy to not just humans [what with the uncanny valley and all] but it's also creepy to other robots because like, if That's me, and That's me, and I'M me, then who's the REAL me???? cue mental breakdown. i kinda actually do go into something along those lines in canon with castor and pollux *smiles*
there are Definitely people who reprogram and resell android data online to be installed into androids, so if you don't like the personality it wound up with or something, you can just download this perfectly-catered identity from the web and install it on them! it isn't a Physical clone, sure, it's slightly different, it's mostly kinda like just implanting a copy of someone into a new body and they don't realize they're a Copy they just think they've been Moved
and Physical clones are not that difficult to produce, but it's especially easy within the halosoft factories themselves, since excluding the face, there's a loooooooot of identical livicom bodies in there ripe for the taking. if you take two identical base bodies, make two copies of the same faceplate to install on Both, and download the same identity onto them, They'll certainly think they're copies of each other. and that's not even getting into making bootleg copies of pre-existing androids which DEFINITELY happens to celebrity livicoms like all the time. you ever wanted your own hatsune miku? just make sure she doesn't find out or she'll never function the same again without a memory wipe!
hibiki in particular would be Very freaked out for multiple reasons because 1) who the fuck made an exact copy of him that's creepy it would make his skin crawl at best 2) he already Has amnesia; seeing an exact copy of him would make him start to panic that maybe he Doesn't actually have amnesia and his memory just starts when he was created and HE'S the clone, cue existential crisis mental breakdown. he wouldn't assume the clone is the actual copy, he'd go straight to assuming it's Him
AND BRO UNEXPECTED ITEM IN BAGGING AREA ALWAYS JUMPSCARES ME SOOOO BAD especially cuz like, i never use a shopping cart cuz the only coins i carry are american quarters and the carts don't take those over here, so i have to put my bags in the bagging area to y'know Bag Them but it's always like GET THAT SHIT OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW even though it SAYS to put your BAGS in the BAGGING AREA!!!!!!!!

finished Fourth Wing and well. Eh
This book started off with a page labeled "BookTok praise", so... there's that.
My most positive note here is that it was a super fast read, even if it wasn't a short one; the pacing stayed quick and gave me a lot of ammunition to keep going, with surprisingly few lulls. It takes the Fantasy School concept and runs with it, and to its credit, it keeps things interesting enough to move forward and makes you want to see how the story turns out, particularly in the first half as we build towards "the Threshing," the event where the book's fantasy equivalent of college students (who feel more than a little inspired by the Dauntless faction in Divergent, albeit with a better in-world purpose for existing) are chosen to bond with their dragons. After that point, I felt a gradual decline in interest beyond the protagonist and her dragons, which while not detrimental to the story, was never fully resolved or reversed.
The worldbuilding was underwhelming. There was clearly thought and effort put into it, enough so that it had potential conceptually, but it never really got the focus or expansion I was hoping for. Atmospherically, the strongest areas were at the school, but beyond that, I felt like we got very little, which is a shame since the narrative decided to switch focus to the larger world near the end. I enjoyed the device of inserting excerpts from in-universe tomes and texts at the beginning of each chapter, though; Crier's War did something similar, and as far as exposition devices go, I think they're clever and fun.
Less fun were the characters - several interesting concepts that made it all the more disappointing when so many of them ended up being basic archetypes with no hint of deeper complexity. There were so many areas ripe with potential exploration and subversion, places where Rebecca Yarros could have turned the standard dynamics and clichés on their heads, but never really did. Bully character is a bully, jealous bitch character is a jealous bitch, etc, etc. Luca and Jack died without being anything other than obnoxious and awful; Violet and Dain's relationship fell apart remarkably quickly. I found some of the side characters intriguing - Rhiannon and Ridoc in particular - but there was never a particularly compelling depth to any of them, and worse, no moments in the story that really pushed that complexity to the surface. Liam seemed to be the one exception to this in a few instances, but that potential never got utilized and was fully extinguished when he died. For a book that started with such an emphasis on potential betrayals and high stakes, most character dynamics play out exactly as they seem and are far less cutthroat than promised.
Violet and Xaden are the worst offenders on this front. From what I gather, the romance was meant to be the main draw in this series, but I have to say, I never felt really pulled in or compelled by the supposed enemies to lovers slow burn between these two. None of their actions are ever those committed by outright enemies, especially not given how ruthless the setting is supposed to be. They don't even actively try to harm each other. I didn't necessarily dislike them as characters - mostly because the writing never took enough risks portraying them as people to ever get that far. They were never "too unlikable" (maybe an attempt to avoid SJM's pitfalls with very, VERY similar character archetypes), which left me finding their whole dynamic incredibly lukewarm. As characters, they felt more like vehicles through which to project what the reader wants to see, and less like vehicles through which to convey the already decided story via their strong personalities and designs.
Speaking of designs, I felt let down by Violet. One of the most interesting and exciting parts of the beginning of the book was in Violet's disability - or what I was led to believe was a disability (brittle bone disease/osteogenesis imperfecta) - and how she navigated that in this militaristic, ableist world. This came up often in the first half of the book, but by the end, it seemingly doesn't matter. It's such a huge missed opportunity, and one that would have fleshed out not only the protagonist, but several other characters and the overall world itself.
Overall, the story was competently written in a technical sense, though there were some stylistic choices that had me rolling my eyes. If I can be totally subjective for a second, the narrative voice really wasn't for me; there were several moments where it stripped some of the more tense moments of of their impact and took me out of the story entirely. In a story striving to portray the horrors of war, nationalism, and propaganda, it was hard to take much of the subject matter seriously with a bunch of fantasy college students calling each other "toxic assholes" or "fucking hot toxic assholes".
But there were dragons, so. 4/10, mostly for that and the pacing.

Lovely day in Milan with my friends today ^-^ We had ramen and did some shopping (I bought Japanese instant soups and house slippers, if you’re wondering). I also took a lot of pictures, we walked through a public park area with pollinator-friendly lawns that were a lovely colorful expanse of poppies and other flowers. (I only know the name of poppies.)
Now bedtime, see you guys tomorrow ^-^ It’s supposed to be raining so I’ll spend most of the day indoors. Maybe I’ll do some baking, I have very very ripe bananas...
Take care, stay hydrated and have a good night/day!
All the hugs <3 <3

Calm Before the (Technological) Storm
Star Hill, Dreamland, Popstar 9 June 3013
It was a peaceful night in Dreamland like any other. A beautiful waning crescent moon could be seen in the distance, with stars sprinkling over the dark blue sky like sprinkles on one's favorite type of bread. The stiff wind blows lightly to accompany the serene feel, as if supporting the beautiful atmosphere of the area. It would be a perfect romantic scene for those who were interested.
But we’re not going that way.
The eyes of a young puffball peered at the night sky from his beloved house on the top of Star Hill. Kirby, a young Star Warrior, known for his vast adventures despite his young age and had recently turned 13 a few months ago. What a joy. Despite all the hardships he had faced in his past, he still kept his smile on.
He sat on his warm bed, right after having a quick, warm shower. His eyes peered through the pages of the book he decided to read for the night, given to him by his friend Magolor. It went into detail about Halcandran technology for dummies - apparently that’s how the halcandran described it when he gave it to him. Kirby enjoyed seeing the marvels of development that the ancients made in the old days, especially seeing how they become better and better as the eras pass.
However, soon enough, he felt very sleepy. It’s getting real dark here, after all. Kirby yawned, closing the book before pulling the blanket closer to his body, looking at the night sky for a brief moment.
“I should go to sleep…” he muttered, before placing the book near his desk. “Staying up at night won’t do well for me, after all… Sir Mety always says that…”
He wasn’t that wrong, however. His teacher has taught him a lot of things about discipline. After making sure nothing else would happen that night, the puffball turned off the lights with a light switch, and fell asleep, without a single other thought in his head.
Unbeknownst to anyone that night however, a giant mothership was waiting for its time to strike. Inside one of the many, many rooms contained, a mysterious woman stared at the beautiful view of Popstar, interested and intrigued by it.
“How beautiful… tee hee… Well, I guess I really did pick a jackpot. The potential of this planet is just RIPE for our expansion project... How delightful.”
She looked at a machine, which was a few feet away from her, on her right, currently creating an assistant for her under the supervision of a few employees. Chances were that it would be ready by the following morning - just right when the invasion started. Despite her being mouthless, it was clear she was smiling, ecstatic with what could possibly happen.
“I need to get ready. I should get myself more… presentable.”

Two continents on two VERY different worlds of mine in the Pearlescent Expanse, my group's homebrew mecha setting that we use for all sorts of tabletop games.
Above is the Primary Continent on Aureate, a landmass of golden deserts amid the briny oceans of what was once the Expanse's capital world. Aureate endured orbital bombardment, a total blockade, three revolutionary wars, and the destruction of one of its twin holy moons... to emerge stronger on the other side, its people proud and, more importantly, unconquered.
Below is Torlann on Halarun, one of the few areas on that Europa-like dwarf planet where the land actually breaks through the icy crust. Two spiritual empires with bloody mutual pasts (one who reveres a pantheon of lunar saints, the other bound together by community and alien psychic gifts) put aside their differences to deal with the planet's natural dimensional rift; their fragile alliance holds for nove, above and below the surface.
After doing a lot of bloody military play (Beam Saber, Scum & Villainy, Armour Astir, a super gritty game of Kingdom 2e), I'm excited to take Aureate into a more adventure-driven era of optimism with Songs for the Dusk. The planet has to deal with the weight of its history in the form of literal ghosts, while all sorts of ancient high technology has sprung back to life - ripe for the picking. It'll be fun to hash out what all these familiar locales look like after a century of peace (I'm doing a big timeskip).
Halarun is a brand-new setting, meant to be nearly the opposite of Aureate: icy oceans instead of burning sand, an entirely different set of cultures in play, and a shift towards a high-tech cyberpunk Cold War, rather than the chunky, industrial open conflicts we've played in the past. I'm excited to get to it in the new year - potentially starting with Mothership, of all things?

Hi there :) I love your blog! Thank you for giving us this wonderful content <3
Could I request ❝  i don’t care if loving you hurts me.  the world already has enough pain to dole out for no reason,  at least i’ll have gotten these scars from something beautiful.  ❞ ?
I would love to see Terry finally finding somebody who would be with him for better or worse. After everything that happened between him and John im season 4, Terry must feel so lonely :(
There's a building adjoined to Terry's newly opened Cobra Kai dojo.
It wasn't the exclusive part of LA. Not until he arrived and bought the revenue. He made exclusivity. Gentrifying, they called it. He prefered to see it as ennobling. Giving things purpose. People live there --- an unfortunate fact of life, he supposes, as his workers install the colossal tinted windows, the decorative paneling and the logos of his studio space. He watches these people. Every rock has ants living underneath it once you lift it. Some of these faceless, nameless individuals drag groceries. Some, their children (ripe, potential new students for Cobra Kai --- something to remember as an untapped market), some head to their nonsense places of employment. Some are just taking walks, aimlessly. He has folders and files on everyone. Information. Addresses. He considered buying their building too, just because he could, and evicting everyone. Becoming their landlord. Raising the rent double and triple and culling their numbers. Turning the block into a recreational area of expansion for his Cobras, but no, Terry finds he's content just watching. John was in jail --- it's been three months, two weeks, two days, five hours and twenty eight minutes --- he's kept precise count --- and Terry found solace in the act of observation. He suspected he tended to imagine who of these people would betray who given the opportunity, figuratively speaking. What if you're lonely? He suppresses the thought. Sheds it, like a lone weakness. The last one he had.
There's also a person who walks past his space every day.
Routinely --- there's order to the schedule.
Terry watches them most keenly of all and he cannot tell why. Maybe they're the most annoying and the most frequent pedestrian of the bunch. Maybe he's just irritated that his perfect control over the city is disrupted and that people dare dwell here at all. Bulldoze the place, an inner voice demands but Terry merely keeps sitting there, in his glass office, at his desk, all chromes and blacks and neons and he watches the person outside, passing, like perfect clockwork. The streets on the other end of the window are light, sunbathed, in perfect contrast to the world inside and they pass like a ray. He knows their name. Of course. Knows their social security number too. Beloved, his blood dubs them. They're the only reason why he hasn't razed the place yet. He wanted them, right here, nearby. -"There's an old legend, you know."- -Kim Da-Eun is at the doorway of his office. She's travelled here from Korea as an additional Co-Sensei and Terry knows she's been noticing things. He pretended she didn't notice what she noticed. -"That lovers from a past lives recognize each other."- She continues, arms crossed. -"Maybe you've recognized yours at long last."- Her voice is impassive, cold, not a hint of jovialness to it. She meant every word she was saying in the most profoundly self-assured way imaginable. -"Bullshit."- Terry mutters back in English, not in the mood to indulge anyone, even himself. -"I've work to do."- He gets up from his desk, swiftly. -"The street view should be walled off. It is distracting."- He adds briskly, as a way of ordering, finally, sifting past Kim.
Within the next week, the tinted window is bricked up.
Terry doesn't want to see them.
Beloved.
Terry still sees beloved, though. Control, control, control, he must maintain it. Maybe he had something to get out of his organism, he analyses, so he could function more immaculately? Sex, he figures. Maybe he should make them into a one night stand and then he'd feel more like himself. He knocks on their door like a neighbour would (which he, in a sense was) and introduces himself. Ups his charm and invites them out. They're even warmer upfront and they radiate a light. Like an old snake attracted to the heat, he takes them out, again and again and again, while his Cobras are employed with the business of spreading out fliers for Cobra Kai's new re-opening. Terry wants to eat the restaurant meal they share out of beloved's mouth. He observes them chewing and he wonders how they taste from the inside. What sort of thing they like to be gifted. How their blood smells like. The place between their legs. How they moan and scream reaching their peak. How they beg. How they'd look with his cum splattered all over their face. Ways he could take their hand and place a kiss on it. I want you, his mind concludes. First couple of dates? Was what he said prudent? Perhaps. He wanted to say it while he was still observing beloved through the office window. -❝ I don’t care if loving you hurts me.  The world already has enough pain to dole out for no reason,  at least i’ll have gotten these scars from something beautiful.  ❞-
Terry whispers, eyes intent on the prize, entwining beloved's fingers in his.
He's licked clean each and every one.
Maybe there was something to Kim's words?
Maybe it doesn't take much when you recognize the one?
He moves beloved into his mansion within in the next few days, doesn't take no for an answer and by the time the last Cobra Kai dojo exclusively opens in The Valley, Terry would've commemorated his triumph by placing a coiled serpent promise ring on beloved's fingers. The inscription on the inside of the band says Mine. Terry keeps the building beloved lived in. He finds it has grown on him too.

Oooo tell me more about goblin hair transplants/elf ear surgeries/minotaur horn surgery!
You got it!
GOBLIN HAIR TRANSPLANTS: Goblins are treated like slaves in many places, and even in areas where they are free, they are often seen as second-class citizens and looked down upon by other species. They are widely mocked for their unique features--their conical skulls, long ears, big noses, and especially their bald heads.
Haircare is a big deal in some cultures, especially in Matuzu Kingdom. So a species with no hair is ripe for mocking, especially by the kingdom's sirene population, who are known for their beautiful hair. Many goblins try to meet the local beauty standard by simply wearing wigs, but others go a step further by having surgical or magical procedures done to make real hair sprout from their heads. These procedures are risky and expensive, but the payoff can be great.
(On a related note, goblins worldwide have many other procedures done to make themselves resemble elves as much as possible. They are often called "the elves' ugly cousins", so they reduce the size of their ears and noses, and sometimes even have dangerous procedures to reduce the size of their skulls so they look less gobliny, and more elfish.)
ELF EAR REDUCTION/EXPANSION: Female elves generally have shorter, smaller ears than males. Because of this, some elves are self-conscious about their ear size and wish to change it to appear more feminine or masculine. Whether it's done via surgery or magic, this is usually a simple and low-risk procedure as long as it's done by a real professional and not some back-alley scammer.
MINOTAUR HORN LENGTHENING: Most female minotaurs are naturally attracted to two things: big horns and big muscles. Male minotaurs may want to lengthen their horns to appear more attractive to females, intimidate other males, or just feel more confident. Sometimes his original horns are surgically removed and replaced entirely with an artificial set. Sometimes a section is cut out of them and artificially lengthened by pieces of bone, wood, etc. Or sometimes the whole procedure is done with a magic spell. There are minotaur races that don't have horns at all, and this surgery is particularly popular with these groups.

Introducing lightweight, industry-specific AI models for individual licence, SAS hopes to equip organisations with readily deployable AI technology to productionise real-world use cases with unparalleled efficiency.
Chandana Gopal, research director, Future of Intelligence, IDC, said: “SAS is evolving its portfolio to meet wider user needs and capture market share with innovative new offerings,
“An area that is ripe for SAS is productising models built on SAS’ core assets, talent and IP from its wealth of experience working with customers to solve industry problems.”
In today’s market, the consumption of models is primarily focused on large language models (LLMs) for generative AI. In reality, LLMs are a very small part of the modelling needs of real-world production deployments of AI and decision making for businesses. With the new offering, SAS is moving beyond LLMs and delivering industry-proven deterministic AI models for industries that span use cases such as fraud detection, supply chain optimization, entity management, document conversation and health care payment integrity and more.
Unlike traditional AI implementations that can be cumbersome and time-consuming, SAS’ industry-specific models are engineered for quick integration, enabling organisations to operationalise trustworthy AI technology and accelerate the realisation of tangible benefits and trusted results.
Expanding market footprint
Organisations are facing pressure to compete effectively and are looking to AI to gain an edge. At the same time, staffing data science teams has never been more challenging due to AI skills shortages. Consequently, businesses are demanding agility in using AI to solve problems and require flexible AI solutions to quickly drive business outcomes. SAS’ easy-to-use, yet powerful models tuned for the enterprise enable organisations to benefit from a half-century of SAS’ leadership across industries.
Delivering industry models as packaged offerings is one outcome of SAS’ commitment of $1 billion to AIpowered industry solutions. As outlined in the May 2023 announcement, the investment in AI builds on SAS’ decades-long focus on providing packaged solutions to address industry challenges in banking, government, health care and more.
Udo Sglavo, VP for AI and Analytics, SAS, said: “Models are the perfect complement to our existing solutions and SAS Viya platform offerings and cater to diverse business needs across various audiences, ensuring that innovation reaches every corner of our ecosystem.
“By tailoring our approach to understanding specific industry needs, our frameworks empower businesses to flourish in their distinctive Environments.”
Bringing AI to the masses
SAS is democratising AI by offering out-of-the-box, lightweight AI models – making AI accessible regardless of skill set – starting with an AI assistant for warehouse space optimisation. Leveraging technology like large language models, these assistants cater to nontechnical users, translating interactions into optimised workflows seamlessly and aiding in faster planning decisions.
Sgvalo said: “SAS Models provide organisations with flexible, timely and accessible AI that aligns with industry challenges.
“Whether you’re embarking on your AI journey or seeking to accelerate the expansion of AI across your enterprise, SAS offers unparalleled depth and breadth in addressing your business’s unique needs.”
The first SAS Models are expected to be generally available later this year.

Capitalizing on Market Fluctuations: Investment Tactics for 2024
As global markets evolve rapidly, 2024 offers a landscape rich with volatility and opportunity. Investors looking to capitalize on these conditions must be agile, well-informed, and ready to effectively adapt their strategies to exploit market fluctuations. This guide provides a blueprint for navigating these turbulent times, focusing on investment tactics that promise to optimize returns and enhance portfolio resilience. Successful investment in 2024 starts with a deep understanding of the factors driving market behaviors. Here are a few pivotal elements shaping the investment scene.
Continued Economic Recovery and Expansion
Many global economies are expected to continue their recovery from earlier downturns, spurred by innovation and renewed consumer confidence. Investors should monitor growth indicators and sector performance to pinpoint areas ripe for investment.
As the global economy emerges from the shadows of economic downturns, signs of continued recovery and expansion become evident across various sectors. This recovery is characterized by increasing consumer spending, robust manufacturing output, and a revitalization of the services sector, which had been hit hard by previous economic constraints. Governments and central banks have played pivotal roles, implementing policies that stimulate growth through lower interest rates and fiscal stimulus packages to boost consumer confidence and business investment.
Employment rates are rising, reflecting broader economic vitality and contributing to a cycle of income growth and increased spending. Moreover, international trade is regaining momentum, facilitated by eased trade restrictions and a rebound in global demand. While inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions persist, the overall trajectory suggests a resilient expansion. Businesses and investors are advised to adapt to the evolving economic landscape, capitalizing on emerging opportunities for growth and innovation.
Impact of Political and Economic Policies
Elections, trade agreements, and policy changes will significantly shape economic conditions globally. Investors must stay ahead of these developments, as they can dramatically affect market sectors differently, creating risks and opportunities.
The impact of political and economic policies on a nation's financial health and social fabric is profound and multifaceted. Policies such as taxation, government spending, and monetary control play crucial roles in shaping economic outcomes. For instance, expansionary fiscal policies can stimulate growth by increasing government spending and cutting taxes, thereby boosting consumer and business spending. Conversely, austerity measures might slow economic activity but can stabilize public finances.
Monetary policies, including interest rate adjustments and quantitative easing, directly affect inflation rates and borrowing costs, influencing consumer behavior and business investment decisions. Regulatory policies also significantly affect market efficiency and competitiveness, impacting finance, healthcare, and technology sectors.
Trade policies and treaties can alter competitive dynamics and shift production chains, affecting global economic stability. Thus, understanding the interplay of these policies is essential for predicting economic trends, making investment decisions, and formulating business strategies.
The Role of Technology and Innovation
Technological advancements will drive change across numerous industries, from healthcare to finance to manufacturing. Staying informed about technological trends can help investors anticipate market shifts and identify companies positioned for exponential growth. In a year that promises complexity, strategic flexibility is critical. Below are several approaches tailored to thrive in the 2024 market environment.
Technology and innovation are pivotal in shaping the modern world, driving progress in virtually every industry. They facilitate efficiency and productivity gains and the development of new products and services that transform everyday lives. Technological advancements like telemedicine and AI-driven diagnostics are revolutionizing patient care in healthcare. Similarly, innovations such as smart grids and renewable energy technologies are crucial for sustainable development in the energy sector.
The rapid adoption of digital technologies has reshaped consumer behavior, pushing businesses to innovate continually to meet evolving expectations. E-commerce, mobile banking, and personalized digital experiences are becoming the norm. Moreover, blockchain and IoT are redefining supply chain transparency and operational efficiency.
In the face of global challenges such as climate change and resource scarcity, technology and innovation act as enablers, providing solutions that enhance resilience and sustainability. Embracing these changes is essential for any organization to maintain relevance and competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Sector-Specific Investments
Investing in sectors demonstrating strong growth potential or resilience to economic shifts is a targeted approach to capitalizing on market trends. For instance, renewable energy and technology sectors will likely expand, while traditional energy and manufacturing may see varied fortunes. As global dynamics shift, diversifying investments across regions can mitigate risks associated with any country's economic or political instability. This strategy can also open up new opportunities in emerging markets that benefit from shifts in global trade patterns.
Leveraging Market Corrections
Market corrections provide unique buying opportunities. Investors who can identify undervalued assets during these periods may secure high-quality investments at a lower cost, setting the stage for substantial returns as markets rebound. To effectively navigate the investment landscape of 2024, investors should incorporate modern tools and methodologies that enhance analytical capabilities and decision-making processes.
Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning
Predictive analytics and machine learning can help investors anticipate market movements and better understand consumer trends. These tools offer a competitive edge by processing and analyzing large datasets more efficiently than traditional methods. Maintaining liquidity will be crucial in responding to market opportunities or addressing downturns quickly. Tools that provide real-time financial insights can help investors manage their liquidity more effectively, allowing for rapid adjustments to portfolio strategies.
Integration of ESG Factors
As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors become increasingly important to consumers and investors alike, integrating these considerations into investment decisions can lead to more sustainable and potentially more profitable outcomes. Companies with firm ESG profiles may also demonstrate greater resilience and public trust, enhancing investor returns.
For investors facing the volatile markets of 2024, success lies in the ability to adapt, anticipate, and act decisively. By understanding the driving forces behind market fluctuations and employing a mix of strategic, forward-thinking investment tactics, investors can safeguard their assets and position themselves to capitalize on the opportunities that volatility brings. With the right tools, strategies, and insights, 2024 can be a year of significant financial growth and investment success.
