I imagined an Aligned adjacent au where at one point or another where all three are on a rebuilding Cybertron with their own apartments and haven't reunited until now

Starscream and Soundwave have their rid15 designs because those are beautiful as fuck in my opinion

Megs in my opinion has either a frame that's a mockup of his pre-war Megatronus frame or something similar to what we see in "Coming Home" because I fucking loved that fic

On a side note I've been running this plotline where Megs shows up somewhere and Optimus meets him while he's in jail of sorts, and Megs makes a remark about "This feels familiar, does it not?" A bittersweet moment with a helping of this exasperated fondness to it in my mind. I say this because I know in rid Starscream and Soundwave were individually hauled in for a trial, and I adore the idea of there being a rehabilitation program because yes.

I'll be honest I don't really know who Starscream should be with as in this situation I'm imagining wavewave and megop, yes. I know I did imagine Starscream having minibots / smaller sparklings, because I've been thinking about that (the frame ratios are more in favor of carrying for his rid15 frame, which is how this scenario was born.)

Well it happened. I finally got good inspiration, and you can thank @rubyleonis 's Transformers: New World once again.

As garbage as the movies are, they introduced me to the song "What I've Done", and I think it fits New World Marjorie perfectly.

This was inspired by chapter 30, when Clara is trying desperately to find Trip.

I feel now that he is free of his responsibilities with the Decepticons, Starscream is much happier.

Storyboards for a fight in a potential fan-chapter (by me) of New World, "Hot Rod And The Con". Sides A and B meet, and there is a fight between Marjorie and Hot Rod.

Some Random Character Stuff:

- Clara’s Spiderman hoodie is specifically an ITSV Miles Morales one.A cosplayer who brought it with him during the evacuations decided to give it to his fellow Spidey Fan! She pretty much lives in it now and wishes she can see the movie for herself after the older fan told her about it.

- Mickey is not allowed to get bored. When they do get bored, they tend to mess with electronics and drones by disassembling them to rebuild into some frankenstein shit. That was where the obnoxious screaming alarm of theirs came from, as well as plenty of Wolfpack gadgets!

- Starscream has no clue that his fleshy children have a family name. Daisy couldn’t remember it for the life of her and Allen just never mentions it. So Scream will refer to them as “of Florida”, since that is where they are from. (Writer comment: I named them the Taylors watching The Andy Griffith Show.)

- Cyrus and Prowl would have instant respect for each other, wearing the same hats.

- Allen is half blind. He lost his right eye to an infection as a child with his parents having to remove it for his safety. He wears the eyepatch to keep Daisy from being scared by the cauterized hole. She has never seen it.

- Contrary to Allen’s beliefs, Daisy HAS seen the space where his right eye should be. She thinks it looks cool!

- Shockwave has been smitten with Soundwave for a long time, but is too nervous about telling them in the War. Soundwave knows about this crush, but is in the same boat. Dead End wants to lock them up and force them to confess so he doesn’t have to keep hearing the gossip.

- Isco is currently screaming crying and throwing up back at zeir home. Zeir recovery is getting sloppy and zeiy refuse to leave home until zeiy know Quark’s fate. Black Hole Transport Project be damed, zeiy want their QPP home!

- Hot Rod and Clara seriously live rent-free in the other’s minds. Only Clara is better about not rambling on her thoughts on him.

- Ezra and Trip are the only Wolves allowed to cook. Not only are they great at it, but Clara and Mickey burn everything. But Ezra prefers savory flavors while Trip prefers simple ones. The two do occasionally butt heads over that.

- Trip has and wears his mother’s engagement ring. That is his primary comfort item.

- Ezra’s parents are both alive in the bunker, but circumstances led Rabbi Hart to have primarily raised his granddaughter. There is some animosity towards her parents, but both just rather focus on the future rather than the past.

- Brainstorm did chat up Perceptor while he was still technically in jail. It worked.

hard agree w ur take on historical discussions around queer identity. I'm in English and we deal with similar stuff as I'm sure you know and it's exhausting. like yes, it's complicated! yes the words we have now didn't exist back then! but that doesn't mean we can't bring history into our present moment and discuss how it resonates!! i personally really resonate w medievalist Carolyn Dinshaw discussing queer touches across time in her work (esp in her 2012 book How Soon Is Now? for anyone interested), among others, but I've mostly explored this discussion in the Renaissance onward from a literary perspective. I'd love to know who else you're reading/thinking with on this subject, especially within classics!

i mean it's not my take, i just reblogged a post, i honestly haven't done that much reading/thinking about it except i guess i think arguing whether or not someone is gay or bi is maybe one of the least interesting ways to engage, whether they're a historical figure or fictional character or celebrity or whatever else. but like... despite the url, sexuality and gender identity in the ancient world isn't something i've spent a lot of time working with at this point, like i enjoy casual conversations about it and i'm sure i will eventually get really deep into it academically but i'm not there now. so while i do agree with that post i'm not necessarily the person to ask for more on the subject.

however the original post is by @kallistoi who may or may not have more to say on the subject, so i will redirect you to them and/or to anyone else who feels like they have something to add!
