A digital drawing inspired by the Three Fates (Moirai) and Edward’s intense fear in Midnight Sun that Bella is a constant magnet for death/near death experiences. I used the Eclipse ribbon to symbolise the thread of Bella’s life, with the tears/frayed parts symbolising the close encounters she had with death before she became a vampire (e.g., Edward in the classroom, Tyler’s van, James’ attack, cliff jumping in New Moon, etc.), and the colour from white to bloody red to black to symbolise the danger and darkness that lies ahead.

I tried to choose different symbols for each fate, so the flowers and vines are meant to represent Clotho (who spins the thread of life), the clock face Roman numerals in the background are meant to represent Lachesis (who measures the length of life), and the pair of scissors which are about to cut the ribbon are meant to represent Atropos (who cuts and ends the thread of life).

You guys heard about the Twilight reboot they're supposedly doing, right? How do we all feel on that cuz I feel bad about it. There were so many things to Twilight's core (I may go over things that would get this "canceled" in a later post) that were wrong and fucked up. Sure, they could fix it. But there are other reboots of other series that fucking sucked. I am very interested in how they do the casting but my dreams for this reboot are minimal. I feel like they need to leave the series alone.

We've been through enough as a fandom. I'll be damned if I get called cringe by a fucking middle schooler while being fucking 15 years older than it for liking this shit lmao

Thinking about the fact that Jasper is probably very famous in civil war reenactment circles.

He was very young for his position and very charismatic AND disapeared mysteriously. His corpse was never found.

Like seriously there are probably several soldiers who wrote about him in their letters/diaries/whatever back then. Jasper was probably talked about a lot. Maybe he was in the army's official records. Also civil war fanboys can dig any info about random soldiers, so someone like Jasper Whitlock, the youngest at his position, a physically imposing and charismatic leader, has probably a lot of fanboys trying to know as much as possible about him.

And his sudden disparition is probably at the center of heated debates. Some think he realized he was on the wrong side of history and deserted, others that he probably vanished out of fear because he was young and actually very scared and his "charismatic image" was just bravado...

Jasper is supposed to manage the Cullens' official papers and identities so he probably follows closely all these debates and reenactments, and I just wonder... Does he attend some reenactments ? Does he disagree with the people who play him ? Does he try to infiltrate these circles to pass around false informations about him (much like the Volturi do with vampire lore in human society) in order to protect the Cullens' identities and his ?

I bet he does. I mean, it's to protect Alice, most of the time. But I think sometimes, he's just nostalgic and just feels the need to be surrounded by people wearing the clothes, singing the songs and eating the food he used to during his short human life.

Jacob was there in less than an hour. I was watching out the kitchen window, filled with nervous excitement. It felt like it had been years, not weeks, since I had seen my best friend. The last time we had been together, I’d left to go save Edward. Jacob and I hadn’t had a chance to talk about anything, and I wasn’t sure how much we would be able to now with Charlie here.

I didn’t give him a chance to knock. As soon as I saw the red Volkswagen Rabbit pull up, I hurried to the front door and threw it open, a huge grin spreading across my face. Jake was out of his car, clearly just as eager as me as he sprinted across the yard and up the porch steps. He swept me into his arms, pulling me outside onto the porch so he could swing me around safely. His bear hug crushed the air from my lungs, but I didn’t need to breathe at that moment.

My personal sun had returned.

“Jake, dizzy!” I gasped out with the last of my oxygen.

He set me on my feet immediately, his hands falling—almost naturally—to my waist to keep me upright as I caught my breath. I stared up at him, smiling giddily.

“I can’t believe you’re here,” I breathed.

“I can’t believe the bloodsucker let me.”

My expression darkened. “It wasn’t easy.”

ok y’all but I just realized something:

Bella grew up struggling to make sure they had money for bills and food. She was excited to have a used truck. She saved money in a sock under her mattress. She did not grow up rich. And here are the Cullens - these outrageously rich people and you’re telling me she lets it slide that they do things without thinking of the consequences? No one who grows up struggling can look at the rich and not feel angry at the privilege they have. You’re telling me because she meets a cute guy she is fine with the fact his family throws away groceries and buys them monthly to “keep up appearances”? That she’d say fuck it and not be pissed by them having multiple expensive cars and properties? That they don’t have to worry about getting into a college because they could bribe there way into it? Suddenly she’s one of 1% and she doesn’t care about her old life? That’s some really shitty character development.

This is a mixed media piece I made a little while ago inspired by Bella’s nightmare wedding dress in Breaking Dawn Part 1. It’s made primarily from polymer clay (chess pawn, pomegranate, flowers, veil), but also wood slices (staircase), glass beads (pomegranate seeds), and twine (cornucopia)

I took inspiration mainly from Midnight Sun and its references to Persephone, spring and Greek mythology (hence the cornucopia with decaying flowers). I also liked the idea of having the pawn and the pomegranate on separate levels to one another to represent day/night or living world/underworld
