sometimes i remember that gojo wanted to tell geto “we’ll meet again, right?” just before he died but forced himself not to knowing it would have cursed him and then i start thinking about how kind and thoughtful gojo is as a character and how he hasn’t been able to lean on another human being since geto defected and then i want to . Scream
#like. there’s something almost helpless about that question. because gojo doesn’t *know* the answer…. he’s asking for reassurance#he wants to know if they’ll ever meet again even though deep down he knows the answer#and it’s so… bare? so vulnerable.#if he had voiced it that would’ve been the first time in TEN YEARS that gojo truly bared his heart to someone and asked for help#but he knew it would turn into a curse and so he gulped the words back down. :((#gojo is such a sincerely kind and thoughtful character and it breaks my heart that sooo many people in the fandom can’t see that 😭#he isn’t a saint and he definitely isn’t selfless but above all else his goal as a human being is to make sure no one ever feels alone.#that no one has their youth taken away from them….. that everyone gets a Choice in how to live their life :(((( it’s so important to him.#i just genuinely don’t understand ppl who insist that he’s morally gray ….. gojo is a consistently Good person and that never changes#he wants to have fun and laugh and he wants his students to enjoy their youth. he wants them to think he’s cool.#he’s the big brother slash father Ever and i love him to death#i got sidetracked this was supposed to be abt geto 😔😔 anyway the final scene between them will always be my Favorite ever#and the key to understanding both their characters and love for one another#ty for coming to my ted talk i’m feeling normal abt them today 😇😇#ari noises ✩

8 and 14 for violence asks on skyward sword <3
YAY‼️
8) Common Fandom Opinion that Everyone is Wrong About:
Groose isn’t stupid. I know it’s fun to characterize him as this big, bumbling oaf with (as Ghirahim would say) the most APPALLING hair“style” known to any of Hylia’s creations, but he is actually incredibly intelligent. He made an entire functioning catapult from nothing but the unfamiliar woods around him. He’s in an entirely alien location to him and he is able to fashion relatively complex machine extremely quickly. That takes a lot of engineering knowledge and manual labor know-how. It’s almost scary how smart he actually is.
14) That One Thing I See in Fics All the Time:
Absolute shit tagging. Seriously the LoZ fandom as a whole has some of the WORST fic tagging habits I’ve ever seen. If it’s not Linked Universe, DO NOT TAG IT AS SUCH. If it’s centric to only one game, DO NOT TAG EVERY LOZ GAME TO EVER EXIST. It is SO HARD to find good fics when half the search results for Skyward Sword AREN’T EVEN ABOUT SKYWARD SWORD. “But Sky from LU is in one chapter so I need to tag Skyward Sw-” NO YOU DO NOT!! YOU DO NOT!!!! If I wanted to read a LU fic, I WOULD SEARCH FOR ONE. IT HAS ITS OWN FANDOM TAG. TAG YOUR SHIT RIGHT, PEOPLE. PLEASE. I AM BEGGING YOU.

How about 2 and 14 for Jamil for the ask game? :D
(Ask game here)
Ahh ty! :D Coming in with some tricky questions I see.
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
Ngl, I really love Jamil's love for dancing. Here we have this guy who's like 15 neuroses in a trenchcoat (/affectionate), and the thing that really gets to him, even makes him drop his guard in the middle of basketball practice, is dancing (yes I really love that vignette where he drops everything to show Floyd how to do a headstand (iirc) properly). Of course he also has very in-character ways of going about it (the way Vil had to tell him to actually have some soul in his performance, not just technical skill), but still. I'd just love to see him let loose and just dance freely like no one's watching, for so many reasons.
Tho to be honest, there are so many things I could be saying here. But for today, this was the first thing to come to my mind.
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
I suppose this ties into the previous one in that in my head Jamil very much would wear some hiphop / breakdance looks if he could dress freely. I mean, he already seems to really like having a hood. Plus, wearing something casual like that would probably also be a break away from the enforced formality that I'd imagine his life is full of with the Asims.
And this is where I give an amused look to my teenage metalhead self who admittedly would've very much assumed a hip hopper would certainly not be my cup of tea. Oh how the tables have turned.

Hi! Just a forewarning that this is meant with no malintent!
I saw on that post that you reblogged about misgendering Frisk/Chara/Kris in AUs and your tags saying something about ‘anyone who does that didn’t understand the original story’. I’m not sure if this is entirely true, but I thought that with Frisk and Chara having they/them pronouns (or being nb) in the original game, was to allow a greater variety of people to play and be interested? I thought it was just to be sort of a placeholder, so that if someone who uses he/him plays the game, he could interpret Frisk as a male (for example)?
Also, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to interact with someone who makes an AU with an altered Frisk/Chara/Kris? If I’m going by my previously mentioned thought, then wouldn’t having an AU of a specifically female Frisk be that creator’s interpretation? But also, AUs aren’t supposed to be like the original, that’s the whole fun of it! If someone makes an AU where Undyne is transmasc and is in a relationship with Papyrus, then would that make a difference? Would that be offensive?
Making an AU is basically making a whole twisted group of OCs based off of characters, so why can’t they take their own creative liberties?
Also, just a side note if it matters, but I’m speaking as a she/they genderqueer.
Hi!! I don’t interact with people a bunch so I wasn’t expecting any questions lmao- but!! I’ll try to explain as best I can.
So the short of it is: they’re not supposed to be taken as a player insert. They exist as characters outside of the player’s influence and this is established for every single one of them. Deltarune even likes to remind you at every chance it gets that Kris isn’t you, and you aren’t them. The idea that they only use they/them pronouns so that people can choose is incorrect because they’re not blank slates.
The idea that these characters would only use they/them pronouns or be nonbinary because it’d allow people to choose is also transphobic because it implies that as long as a person is using they/them pronouns anyone can choose, regardless of whether that person is actually okay with it or not. You can’t go up to someone who uses they/them pronouns and say “you’re a man because I’m a man and I relate to your experiences”, that’s just,,, not how that works at all. Someone, even a fictional character, using they/them pronouns isn’t an automatic pass to choose a set of pronouns for them. This is what you are given, and this is what you use.
I wouldn’t want to interact with someone like that for a couple reasons: the above thing that I just said, being that having a nonbinary identity isn’t a placeholder so that any random stranger can choose what pronouns they’re most comfortable calling you. If you understand that these characters are characters and not inserts and you still decide to disregard the multiple times they’re referred to as they/them then you are being transphobic, and I won’t be around someone who is okay with that.
There’s also the simple fact that I can understand not being aware of Frisk not being a player insert, as it’s not made obvious until the end of the pacifist run, but Kris and Chara don’t have excuses. If you can’t see the obvious multitude of times that it’s shoved in your face then I have to wonder if you’re actually paying attention to the core themes and characterizations, and tenfold for Deltarune. I mean, that’s like half the plot right there: Kris is being possessed and they’re making sure you know they hate it. They’re doing everything they can to scream at you without a voice, “I am my own person, and I don’t want you here.” If you can look at that and think “yea, that’s a character whose entire existence is up to me” then like. What else did you miss???
The reason why it doesn’t work the same way as making Undyne transmasc (to use your example lol) is because you’re not taking anything away from anybody or hurting anybody by doing that. There are not a lot of nonbinary characters out there, and the fact that we’ve gotten three main characters in one franchise is a goddamn miracle. It’s similar to making a canonically gay character straight or a POC character white or a binary trans person cis. You’re taking representation away from a group that needs it.
Also, a lot of people say this all the time, but you wouldn’t do the same for any cis character. Like Sonic, Omori, The Last Of Us, Mario, etc, you won’t say that just because we play as whatever character means that we’re supposed to project our gender onto them. Sunny doesn’t become a girl if a woman plays Omori and decides to call him Lyla Womanname, so why should Kris, Frisk, and Chara?

Do you have any legit reason for calling it a cult? Or do you just dislike them
Here I've basically answered this before but I do have a lot more to say so buckle in because you literally asked for it.
First, excerpts from private essays alters in here have written -
----
"Many cults and fringe spiritual communities have sprouted from Western religious fundamentalism, based on the idea that symptoms of mental illness aren’t really mental illness, that medicine and psychology can’t be trusted, and that what mentally ill people need is to somehow ascend passed their illness.
We see this in Scientology for instance, which when you look at it, actually holds similar ideas to endogenic spirituality: symptoms of mental illness are attributed to alien ghosts plaguing the body, psychiatry is completely rejected, and the only way to treat mental illness is to ascend to higher consciousness.
Obviously, Scientology isn’t the only cult that believes such things, just the most recognisable. If you look through the history of Western cults and fundamentalism, you’ll find an on-going theme of rejecting psychiatry, rejecting medicine, and telling people their mental illness is either a gift from god or a curse they have to overcome.
Endogenics hold the exact same position: symptoms of a mental health issue (dissociation, identity disturbance, internal voices) aren’t symptoms of a mental health issue. They’re a natural part of you- in fact they make you a better person than if you were singlet. They treat “pluralty” as if it’s a higher state of being, and many of them come from faith backgrounds which most now reject, but have replaced by spiritualising mental health."
----
"+ Link to a whole article denying DID systems personhood. They’re telling mentally ill people that to be considered worthy of personhood, they have to assimilate into this belief system. I also know many systems who have had this done to them when they were in “mixed origin” spaces, and have experienced this for myself. It’s even worse in private spaces, where they can’t be held accountable for their actions."
----
Also to break this down / add to it:
They have a niche belief system that rejects our known understanding of the world while placing all their faith on an ideology with no proof behind it and no support from respected institutions, either spiritual or scientific.
They actively target mentally ill and vulnerable people to assimilate into their belief system and instil a fear in them towards seeking treatment or of being seen as mentally ill, as well as an overall distrust in the field of psychiatry as a whole. (Not just criticism towards the institution for its many disgraces during its development, but an outright rejection of it as an idea.)
They go as far as to spread guides on how you can force dissociation or hallucinations- this is literally cult programming.
They further other forms of cult programming, such as system hopping which is inherently a tactic of abuse and control.
Anyone who denounces the cult is othered using language that would be incomprehensible to someone not in the cult - traumascum, sysmed, etc.
They treat their ideology and "plurality" as a higher state of being and use that as a method of recruiting others, telling singlets it's just better to be plural, and constantly challenging DID systems that they may be endogenic.
Their ideology causes the same harm towards mentally ill and vulnerable people that other similar cults do. People deny themselves treatment and worsen their symptoms, either purposely or through that denial.
We used to be pro endo. We were surrounded by endogenic systems. The things we saw them say in private spaces are even worse than what they get away with in public. Alters with loose grasps on reality were told they can't be a real person because they're just a symptom, and that if they felt like they were a "real person", then they HAD to be a "endogenic headmate" or a "soulbond".
Anyway as you can probably guess, this led to a denial of trauma, a denial there was anything wrong with them, an increase in dissociation and I remember one of them insisted he was "actually tethered to the body, not inside it". Bizarrely enough it even led to a complete denial of the system in some instances. (???? boy was smoking that snoop dogg shit ig)
Obviously the consequences of all this to the system as a whole were not good even if I'm able to joke about it now.
It's almost as if I dislike endos because I've seen the ramifications of their belief system first hand or something. Weird.
And before someone goes "WELL YOU SHOULDN'T BE COMPARING IT TO A CULT ANYWAY BECAUSE YOU'RE INVALIDATING CULT SURVIVORS BY-" I'm a cult survivor. I was raised in a cult. The whole reason some alters were susceptible towards the endogenic thing was because they were already pre-programmed to be influenced by those things. Over the years all these experiences have led to us being good at recognising cult programming. Also shut up.
Actually actually- on a side note-note. I think a problem some people have with this is they can't comprehend that a cult can exist on the internet, but you just have to look around you. Q-Anon started on the internet. Anti-vaxx and Alex Jones were popularised by the internet. There's other lesser known cults that started on Facebook or internet forums. This isn't new.
And additionslly, another reason endos aren't seen as a cult is because they align themselves with the left and the LGBT+ community. Since we're misunderstood communities who are used to being invalidated, we don't like the idea of invalidating others. It's easy to convince a queer person that their MAGA-hat wearing drunken Q-Anon uncle is a member of a cult and obviously shouldn't be validated. It's a lot harder to convince them that their fellow queer or disabled person who is overall well-meaning towards people, could also fall victim to a cult and also shouldn't be validated.
But again if you look at how cults actually operate, this isn't new. They often latch onto already misunderstood communities because they're less scrutinised there. It's not even a conscious plan on their part, it's just "well these people also have beliefs and ideas that aren't accepted by normie society, so I'll hang out with them."
And finally for more examples of endos being culty you can look at my tag: endo cult, because I call things what they are.

I need the whole queer discourse thing to progress past interpersonal usage. Whether someone personally refers to themselves as queer or not quite literally does not fucking matter, the only thing worth discussing atp is how widespread that usage may be (calling it the queer community, is it reclaimed enough for ppl outside the community to say it in that specific way, etc.)

Existential doubt for Nadia. I'm trying to figure out who's more what in Italian we would call sottone between Lando and Daniel
Sottone is like someone who has got a huge crush on a person, basically looses all dignity around them and would pretty much do anything if they asked
I thought Lando was the obvious answer at the beginning but I'm not so sure anymore, the levels of sottonaggine are SO high on both sides. I need an expert opinion hahah
Benny this is a huge and important existential question that I don't think even the brightest minds in the world can figure out. Because they are stupid 4 stupid it's hard to figure out who is the biggest simp for the other one. Lando gets more giggly and silly around Daniel for sure but he's just predisposed to being giggly and silly! In fact I actually propose that it's BIGGGGG undignified crush behaviour for Daniel to ALWAYS need to make Lando crack up and be delighted when Lando giggles around him. Something to consider!
ALSO while we're on the topic of making each other laugh - I think people are so used to Lando having silly crush giggles at Daniel's jokes and twirling his hair about it but he's gotten so good at giving it back to Daniel this year too. He looks way entirely too pleased with himself after making Daniel laugh to play it off as cool but it's so funny to see it happening
