An idea for your Encanto one-shot fic:
I'd love to see Félix and Pepa being supportive toward Mirabel before the events of the film (maybe a little while before Antonio's ceremony?) Because pre-canon!Felix and Pepa were the most supportive tío and tía to Mirabel, and no one can convince me otherwise.
We love a dramatic, supportive aunt and uncle 👏👏
Tumblr media
Honestly, Mirabel didn't really expect anyone except maybe her parents to notice, but...
"Oh, Mira, when'd you get that dress done?" came Tia Pepa's bright voice. Her aunt was just leaving her room to head to breakfast, same as Mirabel. Her usual morning cloud disappeared as she took in the bright embroidery on Mirabel's dress.
The dress was all different shades of blue: teal, sky, sapphire and baby blue. The embroidery itself was completely different colours: golden candles, pink flowers, green herbs and hearts, purple dumbbells, red waves, mustard-yellow chameleons, little brown paw prints, orange umbrellas and suns, little yellow bees and lavender butterflies, all along the skirt and another butterfly above Mirabel's heart.
"Last night," Mirabel said, feeling oddly shy. She spread the skirt wide in a mockery of one of Isabela's poses. "Um...Do you like it?"
"It's beautiful!" Pepa said. "Hey, Félix, come look at Mira's dress!"
"Oh, no, Tia-"
Too late. Tio Félix came out of their room, just finishing the last button on his shirt.
Typical Félix, he took one look at Mirabel and grasped his heart with a dramatic gasp, pretending to faint against the wall.
"Who is this vision of beauty I see before me!?" he cried. "It can't be my little niece, she's only a baby! This is a grown woman!"
"Tio!" Mirabel laughed, she couldn't help it. "I'm not a baby, I'm thirteen!"
"Like I said," Félix said with a grin. "Una bébé."
Pepa came over to her, smiling. She peered at the butterfly above Mirabel's heart, her smile growing as she looked at all the other symbols.
"This must have taken you weeks, Mira," she said.
"Eh, well..." Mirabel shrugged. It had. But surely no one needed to hear the ins and outs of embroidery.
Pepa giggled suddenly. "Ay, think you could add some of those suns to my shawl? My Sunday one?"
"Really?" Mirabel's eyes widened. "Yeah, I mean- are you sure?"
Pepa's best shawl may have been plain, but it had been expensive. Did she really want Mirabel messing around with it?
"Definitely! You've a real talent; I wouldn't even know where to start on stuff like this. You're even better than your mamá."
Oh...
Mirabel's smile felt a little wobbly as Félix clapped her on the back, once more loudly and theatrically complaining that Mirabel was growing up too fast and soon she'd be taller than him, and he'd be an old man all alone in the corner.
"Nah," Mirabel said. "You'll have Tia to keep you company."
A rainbow briefly appeared above Pepa. "Ay, that's true," she said, kissing Félix's cheek. "I'll bring you my shawl later, Mira, okay? Let's get breakfast!"

its one line because...well. why not ASHFUIAHSF my brain is very odd today and the heat isnt helping where i am, but anywho, yeah! hope you're having a good day :>
ooh wait this is a fun ask! it’s so hard to sun them up in one sentence but I’m up for a challenge! (In order because I’m annoying like that)
pedro: would have been an amazing dad I just know that man was funny!
alma: deserved better, I want to know her post movie journey and learning to open up!
julieta: if I could describe her in one word it would be warm, like her whole vibe so comforting <3
pepa: my fave wine aunt, she’s a great mom and deserves better!!
bruno: I want an uncle like him he’s fun, (minus living in the walls) would love to see him readjusting to life!
felix: THE definition of a sunshine character, I feel like drinking with him would be really fun
agustín: i love corny dad jokes and I feel like he would have the most wild stories
isabela: my beloved, she cries over her plants getting new buds, she’s extra and she’s so REAL for that
dolores: also beloved, I know she has the best fashion sense, gives good advice!
luisa: she’s like a giant teddy bear, give this girl hot chocolate and some hugs after all that labor she had to do!
camilo: cringe but free, dramatic as hell but also caring, will call others cringe in public !
mirabel: my daughter, she’s just a bundle of energy and I love that for her, artsy kid rep🗣️
antonio: literal baby like this child is so pure I feel such a need to protect him, would ask him about him animals for hours

Sedaverse Fankids
Because why not. Note all of this is subject to change because I don't care all that much. Anyway, in order of appearance:
Julio & José "Pepe" Madrigal - identical twin sons of Dolores and Mariano, named for their great-aunt Juieta and...abuela Josefa, great-uncle José, and great-grandmother Josephine, respectively. Gifts are flight and superspeed, also rspectively. They both take after their dad physically; Julio is ironically more grounded and Pepe is a bit of an agent of chaos like his uncle Camilo.
Paloma Alma Madrigal - Dolores and Mariano's first daughter, more shy reserved than her older brothers. Her gift is temperature control.
Pedro Madrigal II - Mirabel and Lupe Herrera's (...you don't know who he is, don't worry about it) son. Charming trainwreck. His gift is mimicking other gifts, up to three at a time. Knocked up an American tourist at age 20 and that's how we got Bruno 2.0.
[Dolores and Mariano's third son]
[Mirabel and Lupe's daughters]
Zoe Madrigal - Dolores and Mariano's youngest, technomancer, literally an unused character from the movie. Jacked-in hacker type.
Bruno Madrigal - Pedro Jr.'s son with *checks notes* Erica Sullivan. Gift is psychomancy because of course it is. Appears in the epilogue of A Prophet In His Own Land
That's it that's all I've got.

Hello! Do you have any headcanons about Agustín and Félix's families?
Not a lot, haha. I agree with the fanon that they moved to the Encanto sometime after the founding, because I like how it impacts the dynamics of marrying Madrigals. I also gave both of them close, influential relationships with grandmothers, because I like the idea of having very different matriarch figures in the different families, and think that would be fun to explore if I ever dove into OC-heavy stories.
Headcanons for Agustín’s family:
They moved from Bogotá to the Encanto when Agustín was nineteen-ish. I don’t have a solid reason why they needed refuge, though if it comes up I’ll likely borrow from kseda’s / @madrigaljail's main verse, which is second canon to me.
Agustín is an only child, because my own experience of The Sibling Dynamic was very intense and I don’t think Agustín would have survived it in the form he is now.
When his family arrived, it was only him and his parents, though they lived with his grandmother when he was a child. She started teaching him to play the piano after he broke his leg and was stuck inside for a while, and he holds very fond memories of her. She died several years before his family got in trouble and ended up in the Encanto.
Headcanons for Félix’s family:
They moved from Cartagena to the Encanto when Félix was thirteen-ish (and the triplets were twelve).
His grandmother made the trek along with his parents, at least one aunt or uncle, and the kids of his generation.
I think Félix could plausibly have siblings or be an only child, but I treat him as having at least one sibling because I want the Madrigal grandkids to have non-Madrigal cousins, and I like how it sets up different dynamics within each of the families.
Félix’s grandmother taught him to cook, and sometimes laments about how nothing tastes quite right with the freshwater fish that’s available in the Encanto. She’s alive during Atlts, though I don’t know if she’ll make it to canon time.

Carlos Madrigal
I read a theory, (by @silverloreley) that went through possible options for the VKs’ other parents. For Carlos, one idea was Bruno Madrigal (inspired in part by my fanfiction Jinxed!!!).
The idea being, Bruno got sent to the Isle, and then he and Cruella had Carlos. Carlos and Bruno do have some similar personality traits.
On the one hand, that’s not what’s going to happen in Jinxed, where Bruno got sent to the Isle.
On the other hand....I really like that idea.
What if Carlos was Bruno’s son?
Then Carlos de Vil would be Carlos Madrigal, ha.
Bruno shows up back at Encanto after 20 years with Carlos in tow. Carlos gets to meet his grandmother and aunts and uncles and cousins.
Now, Carlos canonically has a cousin named Diego de Vil (probably the son of Cecil de Vil). I also like to imagine Hunter and Ivy de Vil existing in the Descendants universe as well. So Carlos doesn’t really see the the Madrigals as family, at first. Except for his father.
Bruno and Pepa and Julieta spend all their time together. Carlos gets lumped in with Mirabel and Camilo a lot, since they’re about the same age. (Camilo: “You mean before Antonio was born I wasn’t the only boy?”)
Antonio is very excited to have a new tio and cousin. His new tio is spending all his time with his parents? Okay then! He’ll talk to his new cousin instead! He can talk to his pet dog for him!
Carlos feels awkward and out of place. He doesn’t know them. They’re loud. They’re happy. Julieta keeps fussing over him with food. Sure, he likes them, but he doesn’t feel like they’re family, not like his de Vil cousins.
Bruno, meanwhile, is struggling to A. reacclimate to his family after 20 years gone, B. get to know the entire new generation of nieces and nephews, C. readjust to having visions again after 20 years of not having them on the Isle (probably), and D. incorporate Carlos as part of the family.
Like, he grew up with his family. Then he got sent to the Isle. For 14-16 years, however old Carlos is, Carlos was Bruno’s only blood relative on the Isle, and Bruno did his best to take care of him. Carlos was his only family. Now they’re both back home (but is it home for Carlos?) and Bruno’s two separate families are now one...or they’re trying to be.
What would Carlos’ gift be? (Which Mirabel is not jealous about. Nope. Not at all.)
Then at some point, Carlos’ de Vil cousins show up.

Okay, let’s say Muchisute had a family (aunts/uncles, cousins, sib/niblings, etc.) and he came home once the freakshow disbanded with…his twelve year old wife.
Would they be concerned with the fact their what-seems-to-be 30 smth year old relative having a middle schooler as a wife? Or since with Muchisute’s implied incestuous relationship with his mother, would such topics like incest/pedophilia be normal in this very fucked up family? Or would they just shelter him out like how the Madrigal family does with Bruno in Encanto? Or would it be a mix of all 3 depending on who was who???
This TOTALLY wasn’t inspired by that one godawful wattpad fic
This happened in the bad wattpad fic???😭 I stopped reading it after the 2nd chapter isididjsjdjd
I know this is a hypothetical scenario but, I always imagined Muchisute didn’t have any close family members that he knew of. I figured he was an only child and his mother was the only one he ever had in his life. His dad, idk, ig he just dipped like Midori’s dad. Him not having connections with other family members played a role in believing that pedophilia and rape was normal.
However, if you wanna think of such a scenario, then I believe his family wouldn’t be fazed by the relationship.
If he had connections to these family members and none of them ever told him it was wrong when he was being SA’d by his mother then chances are, they’re probably screwed up too and think it’s normal.
But let’s say they didn’t know about his mother sexually abusing him. Then, it could be either or depending on who it is.

The Encanto's First Massacre
Tumblr media
For Week 2: Relationships of @encanto-extended-edition , we cover the relationships of our OCs, and mine starts with her family.
The Lombroso family were descended from conversos, Sephardic Jews from Spain that converted to Catholicism following the Alhambra Decree. Their conversion meant that they were not among the number that were expelled from Spain in 1492. However, persistent antisemitism in Europe and especially in Spain compelled the Lombroso family to sail to the New World in the 1700s. In Colombia, they hope to worship their new God in peace.
In the five years before the Madrigal triplets received their gifts, the Lombroso family were the ones that people went to for medical concerns. But perhaps due to prevailing superstition at the time, there were some that called the family witches for the herbal medicines that they made. Señor and Señora Lombroso had the support of the cura párroco Padre Constantino and Doña Alma to continue their work of treating the sick and injured.
Señor and Señora Lombroso were among the group that were present at the formation of the Encanto. They had with them ten children. Áurea, the tenth child, was an infant at this event. They had two more children that were born in the Encanto.
(Personal note: Them having a huge brood is my reaction to the laughable line in "The Family Madrigal" sequence where one of the kids say, "There's so many people!" Girl, 12 people in three generations is not many. I come from a huge extended family. My father is the second of 10 children, one of whom passed away in childhood. I have 25 first cousins from all those aunts and uncles.)
When he was 15 years old, Bruno Madrigal had a vision that the Lombroso family would be attacked and killed, but Áurea (Aya) would survive and become close with Julieta. The triplets warned their mother about this, but Alma's efforts were not enough to stop the attack. It was the middle of the night that Aya's parents and eleven brothers and sisters were killed in their sleep. Aya narrowly escaped and hid in the forest, where Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno Madrigal cared for her. The triplets became the most important people in Aya's life.

If you’re still taking prompts:
The triplets doing something at the same time in true creepy triplet fashion
Always open to prompts! The only time I'm not is if the ask box is closed 😁 (And I promise to announce if that's ever the case)
Tumblr media
The triplets didn't often do things at the same time, but when they did it was noticeable. It could be downright eerie.
The first instance Mirabel noticed was when Antonio dropped a plate. Thankfully, the plate didn't break, but all three triplets looked up at the exact same time, standing up in tandem and even had the same concerned looks on their faces. For the first time, Mirabel noticed a true resemblance between her mother, aunt and uncle.
But it was only a small thing. Easy to brush off.
However, those little moments kept piling up and up. Only Abuela, Félix and Agustín didn't seem to notice. Meanwhile, the Madrigal kids were all increasingly aware of the "weird triplet thing" and unnerved whenever it happened.
It was weird. How could three separate people, who were all so different, be so in sync?
Another time was when Camilo was starting a water balloon fight. He and Mirabel tip-toed into the garden. The triplets were sitting on the back steps.
Without even turning around, the three of them said, "Don't even think about it."
"How did you know!?" Camilo demanded. He looked as freaked out as Mirabel felt.
It was even weirder when Julieta, Bruno and Pepa turned to face them at the exact same time.
"We know," they said flatly. It was getting ridiculous.
"Knock it off," Mirabel said, tense as a spring.
Julieta's smile was so sweet it verged on openly mocking. "Knock what off, mija?" she asked. She was clearly biting back laughter.
"That!" Mirabel pointed between them. "The weird triplet thing!"
"You're gonna have to clarify," Bruno said, hands clasped and shoulders back in an impression of Abuela. "We do a lot of weird triplet things."
"You keep doing things at the same time," Camilo said, gripping one of the water balloons so tightly that Mirabel was surprised it didn't pop. "And saying things at the same time!"
The triplets looked at each other, eyebrows raised. They shrugged, only further proving the point.
"Eh," Pepa said. "We don't even notice anymore."
"It's weird," Camilo said.
"I think it's sweet," Julieta said, nose in the air.
With an outright mischievous grin, Bruno added; "It's a triplet thing. You wouldn't get it."
Mirabel threw her water balloon, but Bruno ducked, laughing at her. It sailed harmlessly overhead, bursting on the grass. Casita rattled and Mirabel knew the house was laughing at her and Camilo too.

Mirabel mama au♤♡◇♧
Warning:swearing and small violence
Mirabel was ten. Her prima was crying and screaming. She threw her pillow and stormed to him but froze as she saw his tears. She picked him up and his cries turned ti whimpers immediately. She bounced him in her arms and he giggled and fell asleep. She placed him down and went to bed."What the hell?" Ever since that night pepa and felix just gave him to her. She matured quickly without realising it. She had learned to cook and made the milk bottles whilst holding the baby boy. She taught him to talk and walk, she toilet trained him and was his mother.
When she's fifteen
.mirabel was talking to antonio kn the living room when "mami why do you not have a boyfriend?" The family looked and isabella dropped her glass amkjng it shatter. Mirabel froze realising who he was talking to. She felt proud instead of wanting to tell him thays not her name as if she earned this title. "Cause mami doesn't need kne tontio, I've raised you since I was ten I think, just maybe jm good" she gave a playful wink and he giggled. "mirabel madrigal" pepa said as the cloud thundered. Mirabel glared at her "mijo go to your room hm?" She asked smiling. The boy ran off on parce. "WHAT THE F-" she cut pepa's shouting "DONT YOU DARE SHOUT AT ME!" Mirabel was surprisingly louder than pepa. Dolroes covered her ears and isabella gave her earplugs. She put them on. "I RAISED THAT BOY! I GAVE MY CHILDHOOD UP TO HIM!" Ber voice bellowed and pepa shrunk slightly "MIRABEL MADRIGAL WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKJNG TO!?" felix yelled "MY AUNT AND UNCLE WHO DUMPED THEIR BABY ON A TEN YEAR OLD!" mirabel yelled, she was angry and wasn't calming. "WE WONT LET YOU FUCKINF YELL AT US!" pepa yelled." YOU LEFT HIM TO ME TO RAISE! I TAUGHT HIM TO TALK! I TAUGHT HIM TO WALK! I WAS THERE WHEN HE SAID MAMI! I WAS THERE WHEN HE MADE HIS FIRST FRIEND! I WAS THERE WHEN HE CRIED AT NIGHT! I AM HIS MOTHER! I RAISED HIM!" Mirabel yelled "YOU ARENT HIS MOTHER! I DIDNR SEE YOU GIVING BIRTH TK HIM!" Alma yelled as all the adults stood up. "BLOOD DOESNT MAKE A MOTHER! A FATHER! A BROTHER, SISTER OR A FUCKING AUNT! LOVE AND CARE GIVES YOU THAT! YOU EARN IT THROUGH LOSING SLEEP! GIVING YOUR WN TJME! YOUR OWN MONEY TO RAISING THEM! YOU HAVE TO BE THERE AND YOU CANT JSUT JOIN WHKEVER YOU WANT TO!" She yelled and her eyes glowed gold. "YOU LEFT HIM SO I TOOK THAT ROLE! I TOOK MOTHER, FATHER AND COUSIN! I RAISED HIM! I DEALT WITH THE BULLIES! THE FIGHTS!"mirabel yelled as it rained and thundered. Mirabek didn't care and this was the final blow that she was gonna deliver "you were never his mother or father" the thunder stopped as the rain hit the ground and drenched the fifteen yesr old. Her eyes went back to normal, the adults stared as she glared. She stood straight and looked them dead jn the eye. "You were someone who gave up what he needed." She tool a breath "you've missed out on raising an amazing young boy who has a bright future ahead of him and if he's raised right he'll make it better for others to" whe walked off. The rain was pouring. "I am still hid mother!"pepa raised her voice and mirabel glared at her. "You don't deserve to he called that, I'd be dissapoitnrd and disgusted to have you as a mother"
Nah cuz. Where tf were you when it came to Antonio 🤨 you can’t just choose when you wanna be parents dawg, it’s a full time thing 😭 like she has every right to yell at you, I would to 💀💀

Side Story: To be The Very Best
Tumblr media
TW/// Blood
Isabela Madrigal. The first of the third generation of the family Madrigal. The one that is expected to lead their family when Abuela time has come. The next matriarch and leader of The Encanto. The one that will assure a new era of prosperity and change for the Encanto.
Or at least, that was what Abuela said she would be when she grew up.
She was confused of course. Why her specifically? Couldn’t her mama or aunt or uncle do it? They were adults. The one that usually does things that she or her cousin Dolores can’t do. So why aren’t they the ones that do it? They look like they could do a better job than her.
And her kind and patient Abuela answers her question. Telling her that the reason was that she was going to lead the future generation, fellow children like her would grow up and become adults too. And as the oldest child of the third generation of the familia Madrigal, it was expected of her to lead her family forward towards a better future.
She didn’t really understand her Abuela words at first, but she said she understood and that she’ll do everything in her power to be the very best so she could protect the Encanto, if only to get rid of the sad and haunted look her grandmother kept having whenever their home is involved.
She doesn’t want her Abuela to be sad, she wants her to be happy like the rest of the adults. Which means that she needs to fulfill the expectation that Abuela has in her. Abuela wanted her to be a leader, and she would be the best-est one.
But she doesn’t really know how.
So like any curious child, she decides to find a book about being a leader. Searching through the library about leadership and even asking the librarian if there’s any book she can borrow. And from the books she read. She basically needs to be courageous, respectful, self-aware, and empathetic. She needs to be visionary. A leader that knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. The one that people know they can depend on and be the very pinnacle of the best.
And just like that. The path to perfection began.
Everyday, from daylight to midnight. She practiced everything that she had been taught until it reached its peak perfection. Hours and hours of solitude to perfect her craft. Each failed attempt she will do again and again until she gets it right, until it’ll be as natural as breathing.
When she carves a Pokeball until it’s as smooth as metal. Ignoring every cut to her hand, splinter stabbing into it, or even accidentally having the sharp knife stabbing into her hand. She doesn't stop until she gets the perfect round shape. Until it looks exactly like her papa. Even when it’s coated in her blood.
Or when she was tasked to capture wild Pokémon. She would always practice the throwing motion, using a makeshift bullseye with her plants. Not stopping until she always hits the very center. Ignoring the way her hand trembles with each flicking motion to her wrist or the pain in her shoulder as she felt something tear inside her arm. She kept on throwing and throwing until she always hit the center even while moving rapidly.
Or when she participated in the Tournament of Champions. She spends months studying strategies and tactics. Experimenting it on strong and wild Pokémon's no matter the danger. Observing every match she comes across and even learning people’s little quirks and ticks in their battling style. Learning to predict what they were about to do before they even began to think of it. Controlling the match so they would be forced to follow her pace. Hitting them hard and fast. Until she was declared the “Champion”.
Some may say she was too hard on herself, borderline obsessive. But seeing the sheer pride (and hope) by all the adults makes it worth it. She would be an example, someone that will be looked up to when conflict arises. The leader they needed. To make her Abuela proud and happy.
And although she might have hurt herself a lot in her pursuit to perfection. She only needs to eat her mami’s food and no one will be none the wiser. She even learns to stay so quiet that Dolores couldn’t hear her when she gets hurt. After all, she was the oldest. She needs to take care of the younger family members (even though Dolores is three months younger than her). They should let her handle all their burdens. To let them be carefree and happy. Make themselves a hobby and make new friends and all that.
And while, there are times when she wishes she could just battle her heart out. To be able to just freely spend time with her partners without having to worry about doing too much that people started to fear her. And sure, sometimes she slips up and may have asked to do battle a little too much, but she was just having so much fun. It was one of the fun things she can do to her heart content without looking like she was going overboard.
But she knows she can’t, because she needs to be an example. And an example can’t have flaws. She’ll make everyone proud. And pretty soon, Mirabel too will get her own gift. And her little sister needs a good role model as her mama likes to say. So she will be that too for Mirabel.
Oh, she just can’t wait to teach her sister everything she knows. It’ll be a fun bonding time for the both of them. Especially when Mirabel needs to learn how to control her gift, she could think of a generally good advice she could tell her.
Oh, she just can’t wait!

Do you any more takes on Carlos being a Madrigal?
I sure do, I'm writing a whole fic!
Carlos had no idea who his father was for a very long time. That's because marriages are not registered on the Isle but also because Cruella forbade everyone to tell Carlos anything about his father, name included (no one talks about Bruno, no matter the universe he's in, poor man). The only thing he knew was that his father had been chased out of Hell Hall at some point and never came back. He doesn't know Bruno actually never left but hid in Hell Hall's secret passageways and stuff, just to take care of him in secret.
Carlos, as the Disney prince(ss) he is, is beloved by pets, in particular, his cat Beelzebub and Bruno's rats have an agreement only for his sake. It's more a truce than else, but they work together to make sure Bruno knows things and can help when Carlos is in a pinch. Dude will be included in the loop, at some point, once Beebs will stop being jealous, and Dude won't bark at all of them anymore.
Carlos is touch-starved, Bruno is even more so, meaning that once they are officially reunited they end up being rather affectionate with each other. Ruffled hair, pats on the back, side hugs, full hugs, anything goes. Evie thinks it's cute, the VKs, in general, are a bit envious, until Bruno figures out and starts doting on them too (except for Mal, Hades is a jealous dad and Bruno likes to be alive, so Mal is the one who has to start any contact).
When it comes the time to meet the Madrigals, Carlos is worried he won't fit in, and this never quite goes away, even years later. He goes along with them as well as he does with Diego and his other de Vil relatives, if not more, but it's not enough to make him move to Encanto for good.
Among his aunts and uncles, his favorite is Julieta: she's everything he imagined a good mom would be and she dotes on him a lot, even more so after she finds out about the kind of childhood he had. He likes Pepa too, but her temper reminds him a bit too much of Cruella's at times, with the added malus of the thundering, which scares him. His second favorite is Felix, for the sole reason he's sunshine incarnate and he can calm down or make smile everyone, two things Carlos desperately needed.
Among the cousins, Mirabel is the one he's closest to (they bond a lot in the fic), the second is Antonio (they bond a lot over animals and being the youngest in the family).
His relationship with Abuela is complicated at best, they both are aware that the lost time can never come back and they have a hard time understanding each other at times, although they try. Abuela hates that Cruella manipulated Bruno and Carlos to the point of making them so nervous with people (more than they'd naturally be) and sees some of her own faults mirrored in it, Carlos sees she tries to fix her mistakes and is a lot more forgiving than he is with his mother. Also, knowing Abuela's sometimes hard personality comes from trauma, he starts to try to figure out what went wrong with his own mother (that could be a fic on its own, now that I think about it).
He won't stay to live in Encanto, although after the rebuilding he'll have his own room there. He'll come back often enough, though, every summer at least (I refuse to acknowledge Carlos' canon death or anything after D3. Actually, D3 is on thin ice too). Since he becomes a veterinarian, with a side specialization/hobby in inventing machinery for pet care, he has his own studio in Encanto. Antonio will follow in his footsteps and will become a vet too, taking over the studio when Carlos isn't there.
Abuela wanted to meet Jane as soon as she heard of her. It was very awkward at first, Jane was a nervous wreck and couldn't talk much, which didn't leave a good first impression, the one who helped the most was Camilo, who started making jokes and impressions until Jane laughed and calmed down enough for the things to flow. Carlos will be eternally grateful to Camilo for it.
Cruella will never ever set foot in Encanto and it's better this way. Pepa would kill her if she did, all the Madrigals were so horrified by how she treated Bruno and Carlos that they hate her without even needing to meet her.
The de Vil cousins and the Madrigal kids get along like a house on fire. Literally, Ivy and Isabela almost set Casita on fire. They claim it was an accident, Hunter and Dolores know better, Carlos pretends he has no idea, Camilo actually has it all on camera and would have used it as blackmail if Luisa had not deleted it all.
And whoops, I think it's long enough, for now ;)

Here's the whole fam! Before we start the story explanation,  let's start with heights
Reyes: 6'5 Joanne: 5'1 Juan: 6'3 Juliana: 5'7 Nacio: 5'5 Liliana and Oriana: 4'9 Jalinto: 3'3 Alanso: 6'6 Elba: 5'4 Marciana: 5'9 Vicente: 5'7 Deidra: 5'3
Now, story time!
So, Juliana and her sibs are mixed race.
Her mother is American and her father is Colombian.
Due to this, Joanne and Reyes were each disowned from their family's and decided to leave the place they lived. Being supportive, Alanso, Elba and Deidra decided to go with them, not before Deidra came out to her and Joanne's parents. Them leaving, despite being disowned, did not go well in both communities and Joanne and Deidra's brother, Markus Plaskett(whom I've yet to design), captain of the American brigade, made it his life mission to track down and bring both sisters home.
On the road, Joanne and Reyes married and each couple had their children along the way.
When Juliana reached the age of 17, her and her family finally reached the Encanto Valley, able to get in through the crack that remained from the movie events(a year prior to the Mendoza family's arrival).
Of course, many were shocked by the new arrivals and Alma was wary of them, but they were allowed to stay and make the Valley their home. It didn't take long for Juliana, her siblings and cousins to make friends with the young adults and children of the Encanto Valley, even befriending the Madrigal family.
Juliana first grew close to Mirabel, both girls being explorative and bold, before becoming havoc makers with Camilo. Of course, the two grow crushes on one another cause what's Disney without romance. Mirabel was still dragged along in their schemes, despite the two’s growing emotions.
Adding more into classical Disney, the happiness the family found didn't last long(maybe a month). Markus soon tracked the family to the Valley and he and his men attacked, setting fire to the village houses, leaving only the Madrigal house standing. Before leaving, Markus demanded the return of Joanne and Deidra.
With emotions high, the Mendoza family was immediately blamed for the attack, some even demanding they hand over the named women. But, with some calmed words and arguments from Mirabel, with backup from her family, does demands were quickly squashed,  leaving more 'what to do' questions.
After some arguments, agreements and planning, a plan was reached and the Madrigals and Mendozas set out to face Markus and his men. When they reached the brigades' camp(found just at Pedro's River), Alma demanded the brigade leave and never return to the Valley. Determined and cocky, Markus refused an demanded to have Joanne and Deidra brought to him, the two women having stayed behind in the village.
With the refusal, the attack began. Isabella used her plants to destroy tents, Antonio used his animals to chase soldiers away and convinced the horses to flee while Camilo shapeshifted to turn Markus's men against one another and Juliana and Mirabel set fire to the men's supplies and weapons, Juan and Alanso fighting men head on while Reyes faced Markus.
Eventually, Markus and his men were forced to retreat and the rallied Madrigals and Mendozas returned home. It was soon decided to reclose the mountain and, with Luisa's and Isabella's powers, it was soon done and the Encanto Valley was left in peace and to celebrate.
That's the gist of Juliana's tale, but, of course, there are some in-between dialog and story, but some things aren't concrete and haven't been thought up.
If you've read this far, thanks and I hope you like my OC's story, which is basically Encanto 2.
