I tend to put a lot of care into my loved ones (friends, family, etc) and try my best to make them happy. I hate when they're upset and will dive in right away to hug them and bring them comforting things. I can be very loud, giggly and bubbly but I can also be very quiet, withdrawn and shy. It really depends on how comfortable I am around an individual but also if I'm in a depressive spell. I have a small to negative tolerance for people being jerks to myself or to my loved ones. Will fight for them on a dime. (Also am totally willing to throw down if someone touches my wheelchair or mobility aid) But I'd rather be happy and cozy and loving than fighting...I just get protective of my ppls 😅

Don't let the shock trooper title fool you, Thorn knows when it's time to work and when it's time to play. That's his whole motto - work hard, play hard. It may (or will, according to a note from Daria) give Commander Fox a headache from time to time, but Thorn's antics are always well intentioned, well controlled, and in good fun.
Your care for your loved ones and protectiveness of them rises to a level that Thorn previously only saw in his brothers. He's drawn in by that part of your personality and respects the hell out of it. He won't like you carrying all that negativity on your own, though. He'll always offer an ear for you to vent and get your plan of action straight (he will make sure that you do have a plan of action and help you organize your thoughts to better support yourself and others).
But if for any reason Thorn feels he needs to, he will absolutely step in to back you up. No one messes with you and if they're getting too fired up at you, then he will settle them down.
He definitely shares your love of history, though it'll take some adjustments to get him to focus on areas other than military history. Thorn isn't crafty himself, but he will wear any knitted/crocheted item you make for him with so much pride. He will be bragging to every single shock trooper and Senatorial aide he crosses paths with. (Fox is so close to asking you to stop so maybe a knitted mug cozy would be a nice gift for him, too).
He has a tiring job, so the idea of coming home to cuddle with you is heaven to Thorn. I believe an at-home movie night would be a perfect date for you. And don't worry, he'll pick up some fresh noodles and broth from your favorite place on the way over.

The soft, dove gray light of morning filters through the tall windows of your chambers, carrying with it the promise of hours ticking down until your inevitable fate.
The maids around you busy themselves quietly, silent just as you are standing before the ornate silver mirror in the corner of your room. You can hear them talking quietly as they busy themselves fetching pins, jewelry, offering woeful, hushed remarks to each other. You stand still as a statue, observing yourself in the mirror, taking in the red rimmed eyes and dark bags that speak of a night spent restlessly weeping into your pillow.
The wedding dress is a beautiful thing.
You’ve dreamt of this day for so long, told yourself that the day would ring with church bells and heavenly choirs, flowers thrown upon you and your beloved with well wishes meant for eternity. It should be a time of joy and peace, but now the solemn gray sky seems to mirror the interior of your heart.
The war is over, you’ve been told. This marriage to a man you don’t know, kind though he may be, will guarantee peace for a generation. You’ve known since long ago it was your destiny to be used as this- an instrument of alliances and trust, even though your heart will forever remain elsewhere.
With the final battle, you’d waited by the castle gates for days, hoping and praying that each knight that rode home would be your beloved. Yet as the days passed, and the riders trickled down to few, your hope began to wane with the slow dawning of grief. The man you loved, the man who had kissed you gently and spoken utter adorations, had tucked your handkerchief against his breastplate and told you he’d return victoriously, had yet to return. Now, you realize he never will. Instead, you will be wed to a stranger for the promise of everlasting peace, and in the shadow of his memory you will forever grieve the beloved you have lost.
The veil settles ethereal over your face, and it manages to at least hide the brimming tears in your eyes. The maids say nothing, for they too know of your loss. You hear them sniffle and hide their swimming gazes away from you, but they can offer no words of comfort- for they know just how much you and the man who has been taken from you were meant to be.
The church bells ring solemnly on the other side of the castle, signaling the hour.
“It’s time, my lady.” One of your handmaidens whispers to you, and you nod mutely, tearing your eyes from your reflection.
“Just a few moments.” You whisper to her, gently squeezing her hand when she offers it. “I wish to be alone.”
She nods, eyes downcast, and withdraws with the other maids. You’re left alone, staring at your beautiful reflection, and wishing it was any other day than this.
You dreamed of wearing this dress for him, of taking his hand at the altar and for him to lift the veil from your face to kiss you softly. You dreamed last night, in your fitful slumber, of his wolf-ish smile and sparkling gaze. Even now, you think about his calloused hands and daring gaze that has forsaken death many times over. Your thoughts whisper his name for you- mi vida, corazón, cariño, amor, and you try to remember his breath on your skin as you lay bare against him in your bed.
The door opens.
“Please.” You whisper, voice raw. “Just a little longer.”
A pause.
“I thought perhaps you’d be pleased to see me, mi reina.”
When you turn, the tears are already streaming down your cheeks.
“Ale.” You whisper, scarcely breathing.
Your beloved knight smiles at you, weary but adoring, and wastes no time in crossing the room in several broad strides before lifting your veil and taking you to his lips. You taste your own tears there, a sobbing, almost hysterical sound bubbling up your throat as his lips find yours, your cheeks, your brimming eyes, peppering you in blessings as he coos adorations against your skin.
“I thought-” You hiccup, clutching at his stained armor, caring not for the way the blood that isn’t his drips onto your pale dress. “I thought-”
He hushes you with another kiss, tucks you to his chest as you cry, rocking back and forth on his feet as he presses his nose into your hair. You whisper his name in a litany, breathing in the scent of leftover blood from his enemies and the sweat and grime of battle.
“You really think I’d leave you so soon?” He asks, pulling back to wipe a gloved thumb across your cheek, and despite his grin you see his eyes are swimming with emotion. “Especially when some other man is here to take you from me?”
You sniffle, draw in a trembling breath, lean your face into his palm where it rests against your skin. "I belong to you. Only you... I'll always be yours. No matter what." You tell him in a gasp, words tumbling forth, gripping at him so severely you wonder if it would almost wound him.
“I never thought for a moment otherwise, mi vida.” He rasps in Spanish, kissing you with such passion it steals the air from your lungs. “Peace or war, I will always come home to you.”
When the church bells toll once more, and you fall into his embrace, it feels like a vow.

Episode 10 was just an absolute masterclass in emotional outbursts. The fight between Lomfon and Patts, then Patts and Tai, then Lomfon and Tien, then Patts and Tai again. Like goddamn, finally thank fuck, Patts is able to let out years worth of frustration and pain at Tai's silence was just so beautiful, and cathartic, and necessary. What an absolutely incredible moment to not only witness but experience. Patts has been so kind, so patient, so forgiving, and it was time for all the pain that he's been letting simmer for two years out. Good! For! Him!
Uea and His Bio Family, Bed Friend
There are few characters in this world I hate more than Uea's mother, and it was so so so so so so wonderful to see Uea finally give her a piece of his mind. I am so proud of him for speaking his mind, standing his ground, and getting the ever living fuck out of his bio family's house. Too personal, sorry, but this fight hit especially well for me because I too have had a parent say they'd live perfectly happily without me, and it was great vindication of my reaction to that to see Uea GTFO immediately after.
Secondarily, James' sobbing screams at the beginning of episode 4 and in the flashback of him getting dragged in to the bathroom when he was an adult have never left my brain. James absolutely crushed those scenes and this was going to be my Bed Friend pick before I remembered this fight exists.
Jim and Li Ming // Heart and His Parents, Moonlight Chicken
I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that Jim and Li Ming's relationship dynamics is one of my favorite of all time. Aof is such an incredible screenwriter/director and I feel like he's able to make such realistic depictions of families in all their complicated glory. The screaming match between Jim and Li Ming is SO good, and really is what solidified my appreciation for Fourth's acting skills because there was a fucking storm cloud on his brow. Happy fucking birthday to you Uncle Jim I guess. Poor fucker.
And then of course, one of the first ever posts I made in the BL Sphere of tumblr was a full essay on Heart's confrontation which I loved so motherfucking much. Once again a much needed fight with lots of interesting, complicated emotions flying around the room.
Kiyoi and Hira, Utsukushii Kare Season 2

"I'm sorry that I like you" one of the best moments of the year for me by far. This fight between Kiyoi and Hira was desperately, and I mean desperately needed. I know changing will be a slow process for the two of them, and even in Eternal they are no where near where they need to be, but Hira needs/needed to cut this Pebble to a God bullshit out and I am so glad that Kiyoi was able to call him on it. Also from a performance standpoint, Yagi Yusei had his work cut out for him as a scene partner to Hagiwara who absolutely bodied his role as Hira. In season one Yagi did not need to do all that much for his performance because we didn't know as much about Kiyoi until closer to the end, but that cannot be the case for Season 2 and Yagi knocked it out of the motherfucking park.
Sunshine and Q, 7 Days Before Valentine
Okay, almost positive this isn't a BL but I love when people structure TV shows like stage plays, and there was a fight between Sunshine and Q in like Episode 4 or 5 where they were shouting over each other and it just felt so real and the dead silence that hit the room when Q said something that struck a chord with Sunshine was expertly handled, and some of the best work I've seen out of Atom the whole show. I don't think anyone gifed it so I can't put the scene in, but I think you talked about it in your Stray Thoughts @bengiyo

Shiro being terrified Kenji was dying and Kenji being worried Shiro was dying and the resulting clownery from them blurting that out in What Did You Eat Yesterday? I think it was the New Year's special.

About me. Personality wise, I'm a shy bookworm who prefers to listen rather than talk. However, I'm also very sarcastic when the mood strikes me. My biggest personality trait is that I'm very chill. Things just don't bother me, and it takes a lot to get under my skin. This also makes me something of a pushover because pushing back is more energy than it's worth.
Appearance wise, I'm about average height for woman, with short curly/wavy purple hair and pink glasses. I'm much happier in shorts, tees, and flip flops than anything dressy. Also, I'm so pale that my mom calls me translucent sometimes.

Warnings for not being a happy/roses-and-unicorns type of kiss fic, but I think it's still really cute and addresses that kind of numbness we can all feel from time to time. WC 418
Saying space is lonely is akin to calling water wet; it's accurate, sure, but it's also wildly understating the conditions as a whole.
There's fear and pressure, sleeplessness and fatigue, a never-ending schedule and infinite time to zone-out into the void.
You knew that going in. You've pulled your weight, stayed focused, remained practical, and been cordial.
No one on the crew hates you, but no one loves you either.
Space is truly lonely.
You've reached the point of acceptance. You can still bark orders during drills and smile over dinner. It's all...empty, though, meaning you never see it coming.
Mace just bumps right into you coming out of his quarters.
There are moves back and hands up, mumbled apologies, stated destinations, offered excuses. Then neither of you get out of the way because suddenly he is your way and you are his way.
Space doesn't contain slowed inertia. Space doesn't produce heat. No sound. No air. No gravity.
His head tilts and his lips meet yours, gentle but firm, the perfect middle ground, the most inoffensive action.
He exists with you. You exist with him. How can you mistake that for romance? How can you interpret that as passion?
If this were desperation, he'd grope and tug at clothing between you. If this were lust, he'd shove his tongue down your throat and moan. If this were love, he'd hold you in his arms.
There's no motive here. Space has nothing for either of you.
Soft and consistent, he doesn't break away. Your eyes never fully shut. Neither do his. It's a sort of experiment. You're evaluating reasons why you shouldn't, why you're wrong, why you can't, but he doesn't break away.
Like the ghost of a embrace, a whisper of a past life, James lowers his fingers to barely brush your arms. It's the first non-essential contact you've had in months, and a shiver races up your spine, pulling your neck taut.
The kiss is over, your head bowed and tucked to his rough chin, a rush of confusion and guilt lights through your nerves to make your breath catch.
His own breath shakes when it blows across your forehead and ear.
Mace takes a stable grip of your shoulders and shifts you to one side.
"See you later," he says as he walks by, turning to step into the mess compartment.
You finally close your eyes.
Space is lonely like water is wet, but even the depths of Earth's oceans hold other, unexpected discoveries.

The way Kenji is having trouble processing exactly what is happening right now. This is literally a dream come true for him. This is a tangible, physical, real sign of Shiro's growth in their relationship. Tangible, physical, real proof that Shiro loves him, and you can tell how overwhelmed Kenji feels by this while Uchino's face barely moves. THEY HAVE MATCHING APRONS, TURTLES!!!! MATCHING APRONS!

I cannot for the life of me find a gif of the microexpressive moment i actually want, when Tien is watching the video that Lomfon made and his jaw kinda drops ever so slightly in anger, it's fucking incredible, Suar is a fucking incredible microexpressive actor. I also just want to note that Title had some killer microexpressions in La Pluie as well, but the best examples of have no gifs :(

Film is next fucking level, especially if you compare even just how he smiles in Khun Chai as Tian with how his smiles as Charn in Laws of Attraction. That man can be a completely different person with the same exact expression on his face from his eye shine alone.

This show is by the same director/screenwriter as 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us as such I have high doubts that this will actually end up being remotely close to a BL, but I have been really impressed and interested in Q as a character because he's not super expressive, especially in contrast to Sunshine but there is such a heaviness and grief to him.

Just cause I don't think 7 Days Before Valentine is going to end up being a BL, I'll do an extra. Full disclosure, I did not like Dangerous Romance and I dropped it before it finished airing, but Chimon did an incredible job looking disassociative at the end of Episode 2, and I am impressed by the singular eye twitch that acknowledges that Sailom is reactive to pain stimuli.
Not a BL so I'm not really gonna add anything about it here, but I just want to say that Singto is the King of Microexpressions and I was incredibly impressed by how much I got out of Dan in Shadow with just the slightest movement of Singto's ear.

I've already said no to poly for Secret. But since you're my favorite, I'll make an exception and give you this little treat.
As per request, Secret here will be the female variant.
Let's see.

It's early in the morning, and you're returning from your morning shower. As you dry your hair with a towel, you feel water droplets trickling down your neck. With your hand on the doorknob of your room, you pause before turning it as you hear a noise coming from inside. It's a conversation. No, it's a fight. Clearly, those two can never get along, and their early morning arguments have become a part of the routine.
You chuckle to yourself when you hear it.
"What are you doing? I already told you not to touch me!" Amisha barks.
"I didn't touch you because I wanted to. You stepped on my tail, so I had to push you away from me," Secret bites back.
"What kind of stupid creature even has a tail?"
"That's rich coming from the brute who literally turns into a tiger… WITH A TAIL!"
"Oh, you piece of…"
Okay, time to interfere. You turn the doorknob and enter. As soon as they see you, Amisha drops the candleholder she was about to throw at Secret, and Secret blows out the fireball she had just conjured.
"Good morning, ladies. I see we're all excited to spend Valentine's together, huh?" you ask, giving them both a knowing smirk.
Secret moves closer to Amisha, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as she growls in response to the physical contact.
"Oh, yes! Me and the kitty here were just talking about how much we enjoy each other's company, right?"
Amisha huffs and unfolds herself from Secret's embrace, walking towards you and grabbing both of your hands with her warm ones.
"Never mind the dumb half-lizard. I'm just happy you're here, and even more so to know that you set aside the whole day for me," Amisha says to you, her affection evident in her words and glowing orange eyes.
"Yes, for you. And for Secret too. You're both my girlfriends. And you both look wonderful today. Now, why don't you two take a break from your rivalry, just for today?" you reply, brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face and giving her a sweet kiss on the temple.
"Ugh, fine. I promise," Amisha says, raising her hand.
"Secret?" you ask, narrowing your eyes at her.
"Yes, my destiny?" she replies mischievously, blinking rapidly with her hands under her chin.
"Will you behave today?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I always behave."
You shake your head, pointing at the black pillow that was set on fire a few weeks ago during one of the morning fights.
"Alright, ladies. Let's go. We have a wonderful day ahead of us," you offer your hands to both of them. Amisha grabs your left hand, and you hold out your right hand for Secret.
"I… I can't hold your hand like this. I might hurt you…" Secret looks at her own left arm, covered in scales, with big dark claws coming out where her nails should be.
You smile at her, grabbing her scaled hand and intertwining your fingers.
"No, you won't. Come on."
The three of you head out the door and manage to squeeze in all the activities you had planned for the day.
Amisha had organized a walk in the woods, a picnic, and some time to relax and watch the clear blue sky and peaceful white clouds.
Secret found some wild strawberries, and Amisha cooked a delicious sandwich with boar meat, wild herbs, and fresh bread from the kitchens.
You all took a refreshing dive into the waterfall and enjoyed the sunset from the top of a mountain, spending a lot of time stargazing.
The tent you brought turned out to be too small for three people to sleep in, but it didn't matter since you hadn't planned on sleeping that night.
The whole forest became the witness of your love for both Amisha and Secret.
