Obese Children? I said it a while ago…
Back then I kept seeing parents going in every day to buy industrial pasta for their child’s lunch at school. I kept seeing overweight children looking at their mobile phones while their mother was buying pasta (3 for 1€). I saw how an apple then cost 70 cents, today a red apple costs 77 cents (in some places more). Children for various reasons do not play, they surf between screens. They…

SNAPING AT THEIR KIDS — Jujutsu Kaisen
( CW ) f!reader, children, tantrums, lots of tears
FEATURING: Nanami Kento, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, Choso Kamo
Authors note: the way Choso’s son refuses to eat dinner when you all sit down, he just huffs and puffs and you eventually have to give in and buy him Taco Bell, so he doesn’t go to sleep on an empty stomach. And Gojo’s son knew what he was doing when he hit him hehe.
Tumblr media
☾GOJO SATORU
“Daddy, I wanna go to the park.” His twins yell for what feels like the thousandth time today. Satoru whines, throwing his arm over his eyes when one of the twins points flashlights in his face. “I said no, Daddy doesn’t feel well today—we can play in your room, how about we build a fort?” Satoru answers again—just like he did the last time and the time before and the time before that. “No Daddy! Wanna go to ‘park!” His girl screams before his son hits him square in the dick with the flashlight. He jumps up, howling in pain. “I said not today!” He snaps and instantly regrets it when he hears the venom in his voice. How holds his throbbing dick before looking up and his babies. They both stare at him with frowns. His little girl looks about ready to start sobbing and his son looks like he wants to hit him with the flashlight again. “Shit, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to yell,” He apologizes, flinching back when little tears slip out their eyes. “I’m sorry, I'm sorry, don’t cry. How ‘bout we go to the park okay? Daddy didn’t mean to yell, oh don’t cry, baby.” He whispers, reaching out with big hands to grab them and pull them into his lap. “Park?” “Yep, park.” They look at each other before breaking out in a scream.
☾GETO SUGURU
“Daddy?” His daughter pulls the end of his long hair. “I'm busy, baby.” He answers as he scrolls through his emails on his work computer. “Wanna see.” She whines, trying to climb onto her father’s lap. She just slides off, unable to pull her body weight up with small arms. “In a little bit, go play with Mommy baby,” he says, trying to convince his daughter who just huffs and holds her arms up to him. “I wanna work too!” She whines and Suguru grumbles before lifting her onto his lap. He sets her in the nook of her arm. She snuggles into Suguru's content for a few minutes. “My turn Daddy.” She stands up on his lap and reaches over to touch the computer. She fails, instead pushing the cup of water he had been slipping on. The cup tilts over and pours all over Suguru’s computer. “Dammit D/n!” He growls out and though he doesn't yell his deep voice is enough to cause his daughter to jump in fear. “Sorry, ’m sorry.” She cries, trying to crawl out of her father's lap. “Shit--It’s alright baby. Hey, it’s okay sweet girl.” “I didn’t mean to.” “I know. Let’s clean up our mess, okay?” He kisses his daughter's forehead and carries her to grab a towel.
☾CHOSO KAMO
“I don’t want your ugly food.” His son screams at him. “Well, you aren’t getting Fast food.” He mutters. “I want Taco Bell!” He screams, but Choso just ignores him and continues to stir the food. “I said I want Taco Bell!” He throws himself on the floor, kicking and rolling around Choso’s legs. Choso tries to ignore the temper tantrum his son is throwing but after several minutes it starts to get unbearable. Anything he says just goes in one ear and out the other. “No Fast food!” He eventually snaps. S/n immediately stops rolling on the floor when he hears his father yell. Choso turns the stove on low before walking over and crouching in front of his son. “Daddy doesn’t wanna yell baby, but you gotta understand that you can’t get Fast food every day. It’s not healthy for you alright?” He explains to his son. His son just glares up at him. Choso smiles back which prompts the little boy to grumble how stupid and ugly his father looks. When they eventually come to an understanding, he picks him up and lets him help him cook.
☾NANAMI KENTO
Nanami’s loud voice echoes through the living room, and you race to the living room in worry. Once you turn the corner you see your daughter looking at him with wide tear-filled eyes. She’s never seen this side of her dad; you can’t think of one time her dad raised his voice at her. “Kento? What’s going on?” You glare at him as your daughter comes running into you. You hold her little body to you. Kento stands there with a shocked expression on his face. He didn’t mean to snap at his little girl, he just had a bad day at the office and brought that attitude home. “Daddy’s mean.” Your daughter cries out, wrapping her small arms tighter around your legs. “Princess,” Kento whispers as he cautiously walks towards you two. “I didn’t mean to yell at you princess, I’m so sorry.” He chokes out, crouching down to her level. When she hears the familiar softness in her dad’s voice, she slowly peaks around you. Kento holds his arms open. She doesn’t hesitate and jumps into her father's arms. “s’ok I forgive you, Daddy.” She sniffles into his neck. Nanami squeezes her tightly, whispering out apologies on how he’ll never do it again. You can tell by the look in his eyes your daughter will be getting extra spoiled in the next few days.

GETŌ SUGURU
Suguru is the kind of person who prefers a diet of healthy food. At least, it's definitely a big part of his menu, and even if you're not one of the health-conscious types, your own diet will surely be much more balanced than it was before.
Usually, he rarely cooks, but if a man sees you standing at the stove, he will approach you and definitely offer his help. He'll do his best to help you in any way he can, whether it's with household chores or the daily grind. Geto likes to see your gratitude, and at the same time, he doesn't like it when you overstretch yourself.
Sometimes they bring you breakfast in bed. With notes left on top - a kind of apology if for one reason or another he can't make it to spend the morning with you, if you've already had time to plan it; or just very cute reminders of today's chores that you shouldn't ignore.
Geto is excellent hand with knife. You can ask him to carve anything, and you can be sure he knows how to do it right. If you hear something along the lines of "sorry, I can't," you can be sure he can, but he doesn't want to. He rarely will refuse you, so he's probably just too tired for that, but on days like this, you just order take-out from a nice cafe nearby.
NANAMIN
As we already know, Nanami is actually a schedule man. You can say goodbye to quick bites and unhealthy snacks while you go. In the morning you will be waited for an appetizing breakfast, for lunch you will get both first and second, and from dinner you can't refuse in principle - it looks too delicious.
He likes his coffee strong and sugar-free. In particular, double espresso or cappuccino, but will not refuse and sweetened latte, if you suddenly want to prepare a drink for him. By the way, he's a great coffee maker. And you're in luck - because you can drink it every day.
He's a stickler for a relatively healthy lifestyle - due to his experience, capabilities and the cost of a whole bunch of health-related services. Treatment is expensive nowadays, and maintaining your condition is not only more profitable, it's easier. No, it doesn't mean he's not ready to spend money on going to clinics, Kento is just a practical man who doesn't like unnecessary movements - it's much easier to prevent a situation than to deal with the consequences.
Speaking of sweets: the man doesn't like them on principle, preferring to have a light salad once instead of munching on an extra bun, which you don't quite agree with him on. After all, he can't force you to give up junk food, but he's not going to just watch you do it. Most likely he will give a lecture about the proper diet of a healthy person and offer to share a salad with him.
You're not going to say no to him, are you?
OKKOTSU YUTA
Oh, this is so hard to deal with. The poor guy just doesn't have time to eat properly - he's really busy and barely knows how to plan his time, almost always rushing off to an emergency task at the first call. At times he hasn't even had time to sit down at a meal in the morning because of a sudden phone ring, just grabbing a random piece off his plate and munching it on his way out.
Throughout the day, he eats mostly snacks or fast food on his own, but you're a different matter. You rarely cross paths, but as soon as the opportunity presents itself, you go to a cafe or diner with a proper menu. He doesn't want you to kill your stomach with ramen, like him, and you want to feed him good food accordingly. And he'd rather have a nice bland dish from there than any fast food.
This guy isn't much of a cook, but he can whip up something good if you have a recipe and detailed instructions on how and what to add. You like the food he makes - he's usually pretty good at it, and when you get the chance, you even do it together.
Yuta loves fish dishes. Whether it's surimi, sashimi, or even odori, seafood is his passion. Not that you share it, but you taste a lot of it with him. Another fun fact is that you can feed him almost anything - he won't complain, even if it's a badly burned bean that's been in an old frying pan, fried in chicken broth. After all, you've worked hard for him - how can he reject your concern when he looks right into your glistening eyes?
RYŌMEN SUKUNA
Let's start with the fact that he's some kind of king, but he's a king and has his own servants. They do the cooking, but he'll also be pleased if you decide to make something for him. His food preferences fluctuate between oily and neutral foods, but mostly what we know is human meat.
That doesn't mean he'll decline a light side dish you've prepared. Just, expect that to please him you'll have to adjust to his demands. Yes, it's hard to cook human meat, but you can make a little effort for him, right?
Just because he has cooks in the kitchen instead of him doesn't mean Sukuna is a bad cook or can't cook at all. He's very good at it. In fact, you once tasted a dish made by him, and it was really damn good. High standards have been set for a reason and woe betide anyone who can't meet them.
The man has food-related kinks. Even the affectionate nicknames sometimes sound like he wants to eat you - from morsel to sweetie, from his lips sounds like an assault (that's what it is) on your body, soul and sweet, empty head.

CEO!Magnus and personal chef/bodyguard!Alec
(There is every chance that I have posted this before, I just can't remember. I tried to search through my archive, but.... there is a lot of posts there, did you know? 🤣😂 Anyway, in case I'm making you read this twice, sorry. 😅)
Magnus being like this really big shot CEO who has meetings 24/7 and charity events and social appearances and all that other busy stuff going on. So he gets a personal chef to keep an eye on his nutrition. And Alec is ruthless when it comes to making sure Magnus eats healthy. Magnus: "You know I love your cooking, Darling, but how about a good old fashioned fast food break?" Alec: "All that grease is bad for you. Eat your carrots. You look pale. How much sleep did you get last night?" Magnus, innocently: "Enough?" Alec: "Unlikely. No more caffeine for you today."
Magnus trying to sneak all kinds of unheathy Snacks, and Alec foiling him at every turn. Magnus had an energy drink hidden away in his desk, but as he opens the drawer, there is a bottle of water with a note attatched with "stay hydrated".
Alec even convinced the close by Cafe to not serve Magnus anything with Caffeine, after Magnus' last doctors appointment showed high blood pressure.
Maybe Alec is some kind of ex-agent or ex-military, who got into cooking for an undercover op, but really enjoyed it and wanted to pursue it further when he quite the force.
When one of Alec’s old colluegues comes visiting him, Alec is crouching behind the entertainment system to find Magnus' latest snack hidey-hole. Alec: "He gets more creative every time. Some of the drug dealers we busted could have learned from him."
Bet you Magnus is the type of CEO who has a loyal Twitter following and he tweets about everything Alec cooks for him (and the things he doesn't let him eat.) The Internet already ships them.
Possible tweet: The_Magnificent_Bane: Thank you for the suggestion @randomfollower, but unfortunately Alexander didn’t go for the argument that carrot cake counts as a vegetable.
Why am I know picturing a fight in the kitchen where Alec uses kitchen utensils and food to knock out people who have come to kidnap Magnus
Imagine someone broke into Magnus' place, and the police are called and as they arrive Magnus is like: "Thank you for coming. My chef has already apprehended and restrained the perpetrators, and is waiting for you to take them off his hands in the living room." Police: "... Your cook apprehended them?" Magnus: "Yes. Sadly, the confrontation did not result in the death of that cursed celery he bought earlier."
Magnus: "Tomatoes can't be trusted, my darling. Are they a fruit? Are they a vegetable? No one knows." Alec: "They are fruits." Magnus: "That's what they want you to believe."

breakfast facts
WARNING!!!! DO NOT EMULATE THE MADE UP EATING PATTERNS I JUST MADE UP FOR THESE MADE UP PEOPLE IT WOULD PROBABLY BE BAD FOR YOU. ESPECIALLY ZENIGATA REALLY REALLY DO NOT EMULATE ANY OF TH
lupin:
must eat as soon as he wakes up or he’s fucked. not even like fully a physical stomach thing its just mentally he Must start his day with food
kellogs commercial table. the cereal, two slices of toast, one butter, one jam, apple, like bacon and eggs n shit
scarfs it down in two seconds. as a result no one else will make his breakfast for him becuase its kind of annoying spending 2 hours cooking at 7am so the princess can inhale his perfectly crisp bacon like the poltergust 3000
yes he complains when he has to do it himself. so every day yes. it just wasn't practical to do the whole shebang every day so he whittled it down to his toast and eggs. but you know if he could,
the king must feast. he gives himself a stomach ache damn near every day he gets his food the way he actually wants it
jigen:
eats what’s provided honestly. you could say that about every meal but he just doesn’t care too much esp with his breakfast
he’ll complain (he’s particular about waffles and pancakes needing to be a certain amount of savory to justify them existing in a MEAL meal and not just as a dessert) but not too a huge extent. honestly he’ll eat whatever
doesn't have a huge appetite early in the morning, usually balances it out with a big lunch and even BIGGER dinner. he's gotta ease into those heavy hitters man he's delicate bro
cawfee. cuppa joe. He hates it. jigen doesn’t like it despite dressing like a keurig machine gijinka and having the symphonic cadence of a coffee grinder. it just doesn’t taste good to him (it's that deceptive scent dude) that said {sleep hcs incoming soon} sometimes he needs some to jumpstart him like an old car. again, complains, but goes through with it
fujiko:
special k commercial table. the cereal. the side bowl with random dollops of peanut butter and mixed other nuts and oats (?) i guess it’s oats, the GRAPEFRUIT oh i know she’s a grapefruit bitch!! pb honey spread on an English Muffin too. like some. idk there’s a cinnamon stick involved YOU GET THE VISUAL
funny thing is she doesn’t even eat half of it. she just goes with the muffin, bowl of mini wheats, maybe two pieces of grapefruit ingested as she leaves the table. whoever passes the table next is expected to handle leftovers. breakfast leftovers. that's an insane concept now that i type it out
cawfee. she either drinks it with a thousand disgusting artificially flavored creams or she chews the beans raw. presentation vs functionality is a key aspect of ms mine's internal struggle
complex relationship with fast food coffee shop chains as a result
goemon:
another guy who loves the Big Breakfast by tom cardy but unlike lupin (who loves his beauty sleep too much to wake up early) and fujiko (who usually gets her non-lupin boytoy of the month to make it for her) goemon actually gets up asscrack of dawn early to prepare a meal fit for a king
perfectly fluffy rice. hand squeezed juice. absolutely decadent vegetables. impossibly picturesque omelette. but just normal ass sara lee bread though he doesn’t have THAT much time on his hands
funny thing is he's definitely the most normal about it. goemon just. eats his breakfast. he might raise his eyebrows in slight surprise at how good the eggs taste today or something but really its just. food. all these other weirdos either take 10 years to eat a piece of toast or just inhale their food but the guy who dresses and talks like its the 18th century wins the normal award here
has emphasized the importance of eating breakfast to others before despite easily functioning without it. wake him up at 4 say “no time for brekkie dude we gotta go steal the fire hydrant of the louvre” and he’ll be like Done no problems
zenigata: i know i mentioned it before but NOT HEALTHY BEHAVIOR DO NOT FUCKING EMULATE
haha.
he’s very bad about it VERY bad about it always getting yelled at by third parties. they go “what’d you have for breakfast” and he shrugs and they go "oh god did you even eat" "ONE BOILED EGG HAS PROTEIN IN IT!!"
its amazing the stature you can get while still being the guy who eats half a protein bar for breakfast and doesn’t actually sit down for a meal again until like 1 am. really i cannot emphasize enough don’t try this at home
HES JUST SO DAMN BUSY! but if he could he’d take anything. unlike jigen, who just doesn't wanna start a fight THAT early in the morning, zeni just loves every breakfast food! muffins eggs potatoes pancakes cereal the random ass fruit he LOVES it
god help the hotel with a free breakfast when this guy comes in. or that is, if he didn’t sleep until 11 AM because he was up lupin-ing all night.
in conclusion: they would all love a trip to the mcdonalds breakfast menu drivethru. they all get a hashbrown. would you believe me if i said i only remembered the mcdonald’s commercials after typing that

Pregnancy stories - When Yoshino was pregnant with Izumi
Few days before Izumi was born...
Yoshino: "So...?"
Kurama: *touching her belly* "Ah. Baby feels healthy."
Yoshino: "Really! Thank god!....*rubs her belly* I can't wait to meet you."
Kurama: "You look happier than before."
Yoshino: "Of course I am. It's my first being a mom. I wonder how it's going to feel like. I'm really looking forward to it."
Kurama: "I see."
Yoshino: "Also thank you Kurama. You and all the Rebel members have been taking good care of me for the past 9 months. Thank you." *kisses his cheek*
Kurama: "For handling all your mood swings, I deserve more than a kiss on the cheek."
Yoshino: "Mm...." *kisses his lips*
Kurama: "Still...I don't understand, why those guys are excited more than me. I'm the father of the baby, yet they all are acting like it's their baby."
Yoshino: "Fufu...they're just excited about the fact that they're going to be uncles."
Yoshino: *looks at her belly* "You're so lucky. You're going to have some many people who's going to love you."
Kurama: "..........."
Kurama: "Yoshino."
Yoshino: "Hm?"
Kurama: "Why.....do you look so beautiful today?"
Yoshino: *blushing*
They both move close to kiss each other.
Yoichi: "Dinner's ready!"
Kurama and Yoshino: "Ah!" *moves away*
Sueharu: "I hope we didn't interrupt you guys."
Kurama: *glares*
Benkei: "Looks like we did."
Yoshitsune: "Yoshino, how are you feeling?"
Yoshino: "I'm doing fine Yoshitsune-sama, thank you."
Benkei: "Today, I made you your favorite Yoshino. Can you eat? Tell me if you need anything else."
Yoshino: "No no no. It's fine. I already feel bad for harassing you all with my mood swings for the past 9 months."
Yoshitsune: "Don't worry about that. We understand how hard it is for a woman who is going through this phase."
Sueharu: "That was really an experience. But it was fun."
Yoichi: "Yeah, we got to see so many fun things. Especially, angry Yoshino."
Yoshino: *blushing* "Please don't remind me that..."
Yoichi: "Do you remember that day, when Kurama asked Yoshino to peel oranges for him? And Yoshino was like 'You lazy-ass, do it yourself! How about for once, take ownership for what you did to me and feed me oranges!' "
Yoshino: *blushing* "Hey, I didn't go that far."
Kurama: "Yeah you did."
Yoshino: "Kurama!" *blushing*
Sueharu: "Yeah. And Kurama never asked again. From then on, he was the one feeding Yoshino oranges."
Kurama: "Because the doctor told me that Yoshino's body was weak and she needed a lot of food to stay healthy."
Benkei: "Yeah, and you were only feeding her oranges. "
Kurama: "What's wrong with oranges?"
Benkei: *sighs* "Nothing, but she needed to have more healthy food to survive the labor."
Yoshitsune: "Yes. That's why I also helped Kurama to make rice cakes."
Yoichi: "Yeah and you two burned the entire kitchen."
Kurama: "I thought if I increased the flames, it would cook fast."
Yoshitsune: "I'm sorry Benkei.....I made a mess."
Benkei: "It's fine Yoshitsune-sama! You were only trying to help."
Yoichi: "Hey that's so unfair! Why is Yoshitsune-sama forgiven so easily while I and Sueharu was punished to clean the entire kitchen?"
Sueharu: "Yeah, that's unfair."
Benkei: "Because when you two were cooking, you burned the rice so much that it was stuck to the pot. Do you know how annoying it is to clean?"
Kurama: *picks up the Yoshino's dinner and starts feeding her*
Yoshino: "Ah! Kurama, it's fine. I can eat myself now."
Kurama: *glares* "Don't tell me what to do. Now, open your mouth."
Yoshino: "Aaahh...Mmph...Mm...This is actually yummy."
Benkei: "Isn't it? We all made it together for you."
Yoshino: *angelic smile* "Thank you, everyone."
Yoshino finishes her food.
Kurama: "Here have this orange."
Yoshino: "No, Kurama. I think I'm full----!!"
Everyone: "!?"
Yoshino: "Ah!"
Kurama: "What's wrong!? Is the baby coming out!?"
Yoshino: "It kicked."
Everyone: "!!"
Yoshino: "It kicked! The baby just kicked!!"
Yoichi: "Hahaha...looks like the baby really wants oranges."
Benkei: "Oh my god, is there going to be another Kurama who's only going to eat oranges for the rest of their life?"
Yoshitsune: "I guess so." *smiles*
Sueharu: "I wonder if it's going to be a boy or a girl. I'm curious."
Yoichi: "I bet it's girl. It would be cute to see a junior Yoshino running around here."
Sueharu: "Yep! I can't wait to bring her so many cute dresses to wear."
Benkei: "And cook her so many delicious food."
Yoshitsune: "And play with her."
Yoshino: "Fufu...you all are excited even more now. Kurama what do you think? Is it going to be a boy or a girl?"
Kurama: "Does the gender matter?"
Yoshino: "No...but it wouldn't hurt to take a guess, right?"
Kurama: "............" *closes his eyes*
Everyone else: *waits eagerly*
Yoshino: "Kurama?"
Kurama: "......I think it's a boy."

made it through the weekend and even was able to go get some things done before we went and picked Bizzy up from her babysitter. i got my oil changed and i wanted to throw a fit because it cost $68. Ten years ago I could go right down the road and get an oil change for less than $25. what the actual fuck. so goddamn aggravating. told my mom about it and how as usual i'm not even a week into the month and basically all my disability money is gone. all she said was "welcome to adulthood. sad." and i swear i wanted to reach through the phone and shake the shit outta her. last week or the week before, kate and i had a big not-fight and during our talk afterwards we discussed how since my mom is my single biggest trigger and/or the source of seemingly unrelated triggers, i need to go back and make more boundaries or reinforce the ones i tried to put in place a while ago. and i was like hm, okay, i'll have to think about how i can broach the subject of say, being in contact like once a week unless something comes up maybe. then the very next day mom hit me with "you know i think if you didn't come to see me in october i wouldn't have survived" and i just threw my fucking hands in the air and gave up. idk what to fucking do and i don't have a therapist anymore and i'm extra moody about it all right now because i started my period four days late.
in any case regarding money, i was able to not mooch off kate all weekend since we went away so early in the month, and so the only things i "treated" myself to (besides food which is 50/50 on whether or not it's a treat or making life easier or whatever) was a denim boiler suit from walmart, potting soil, four pots, and a grow lamp so i can repot and move the four plants that live on the kitchen windowsill. i've never kept plants alive this long so i don't intend on letting them die yet, so they're getting bigger pots and new soil and i'll likely move them into my bedroom. probably switch night stands and stick them on the one in the far corner with the grow lamp. i wish we had places to put them out in the house but A we get zero sun B the aloe plant and chrysanthemum aren't good for the cats and C i'm the only one that takes care of them anyway so they might as well just stay in my space. and it's also like, is it "treating" myself to something if it's keeping a living thing alive? idk. and the denim boilersuit looks so fucking cute i have no regrets spending $28 on it.
it's still incredibly weird drinking coffee every day but it has been helping my moods, surprisingly. i also make myself have a cup of tea (usually decaffeinated green tea) before bed. i'm still keeping up with my planner, though i'm letting myself slide when it comes to my little goal of reading every day. if i blow through too many stories too fast i burn out, so i'm taking my current book slowly and giving myself some grace to take days off. i've eaten like shit since thursday what with being away from home (and today being busy and too tired to cook) so i've noticed i feel not as good in that respect but i can get back on track maybe by tomorrow. maybe. still being exhausted and also being in my period doesn't really bode well for having the energy to make healthy meals or being able to deny my period mood cravings. i have a very unhealthy relationship with food. my feelings inside turn foul and evil if i can't have exactly what i want to eat when i want it if i have a craving. it might actually be psychotic.
i have some things i've been wanting to write, little fanfic ideas. or maybe not so little. but i can't activate that switch in my brain to actually do it. i have hang ups. a lot of them. bah
oh and i left my apple watch on the other side of the state like a fuckin champ. night yall

we went grocery shopping today!
aka to the local food pantry bc it's rough out here
theres still a few things we need to get from the store but we are stocked on fruits & veggies !
since things have been tight lately we decided to stay for their round 2 & they gave us boxes on boxes of fresh food from local farms. i'm so thankful & now its time to prep!
so far i've gotten all the fruit washed, cut, & either in the freezer or fridge. we had over 10 containers of blackberries so i'm going to make blackberry cobbler for a cookout we have coming up & not eat any of it as a goal for myself !
now we're working on the veggies. they gave us 2 bags of collard greens & some ham so i will be cooking that up for the cookout as well! i will probably end up eating some of that but just avoid the ham in it (: i'm also going to be making some fresh salsa, pico de gallo, & cucumber salad.
i'm so excited bc everything is so fresh & healthy. so even if i do binge its not like its junk food (: also i can finally go on my fruit fast. not to mention fresh smoothies & juices 🤤
they also gave us some meat (which i only really cook for my partner) but they had tofu ! i think my favorite part is that we got 3 packs of yakult light, local deer meat (my weakness) & butternut squash! plus so much more! talk about a grocery haul.
i have really high hopes for september. it started off w a 24+ hour fast (that i didn't binge after), a huge healthy grocery haul, and now that i'm healed from my medical stuff i can really get back on my exercise routine ! now i just have to keep up & stay focused !!
also can we talk about cooking ?? i love cooking huge delicious meals for my family ! & then i won't eat any of it or just a small veggie portion. it makes me feel SO good about myself ❣️
whats left to get
• cashews or almonds
• shrimp
• instant coffee or espresso
• ginger ale
• wild rice
• low cal dark chocolate
• baby puffs

today my family went last minute Christmas shopping, and unbeknownst to me we ended up going grocery shopping for food as well. you all know the unspoken rule for all 3d girlies: don't shop on an empty stomach. I did my best to avert my eyes and not pay attention to which I did succeed until we got home and my dad made carne asada tacos. not only did I fail my f4st at 39 hours, I also failed the pescetarian lifestyle by eating beef. I do feel gross, and I have a headache after eating and snacking little over 1200 c4ls in the span of an hour. sigh. what's new here.
I'm probably going to f4st for about 24 hours until tomorrow afternoon and enjoy a small portion of xmas dinner with my family, and then I'll resume a longer f4st. I'm not sure how long that one will be but I'm hoping to go for at least two 48 hour fasts or longer who knows. I want to start the new year as clean and empty as possible so that I can do the 4bc d1et again and start my 4n4 journal on a good foot. speaking of which, I have all the supplies for my 4n4 journal so I'll probably start designing it tomorrow and by the end of the week I can show you guys :D.

day 5 of the th1nspo challenge,,
q: why do you really want to lose weight,, and are you doing it for you?
a: I've always been considered the shorter, chubbier child when compared to my sisters (they're all modelesque and proportioned very well), so seeds of b0dy dysm0rph14 were planted in my brain at a very young age. I had always been obsessed with sports, exercise, and eating clean (up until recently because dayum, when you're never really home it's difficult to cook something healthy or meal prep often) until I turned 16 and it turned into a full blown e4t1ng d1s0rder. I believe that when I reach my ugw, I'll be the happiest, and I'll finally be the th1n pretty girl that people have always wanted me to be. I'm also vain so I want other people to look at me and pretty much idolise me for the body that I will have. Sheesh I just wanna be perfect :(.
that's all I have for today my friends, please stay hydrated and stay safe 💜

I just wanna tell you guys how grateful I am for you. I haven't been on Tumblr for quite a while and I finally decided to check on it again.
Reading all of these messages brought happy tears to my eyes.
Not only that but I have 720 followers!?!?!?
What!?!?!?
Where'd you all come from???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are literally my reactions!!!
Thank you so much for your support, love, and advice. I'm currently working in the hospital on a Sunday and I was bummed, but reading your messages made my day. I am truly, sincerely grateful. (And I will say that a million times more).
Warning: Sensitive Topics and unloading of emotions.
And I also apologize for such a long hiatus... I'm going to be honest...I haven't been alright.
I feel like I'm falling apart and I'm so anxious to the point when I'm shaking... I try to do my best to get through it, but it is sooo hard. And when I think I'm doing better one day, the next I have a complete meltdown...And it's really discouraging.
I also haven't been eating healthy because I'm in such a sour mood, I don't feel like cooking. I either order fast food or don't eat at all. I started taking prenatal vitamins just so I can get the vital nutrients my body needs.
In order to try and get better, I've turned to God. I've been studying the Bible and going to church. I pray for his help and when my anxiety is really bad, the holy spirit flows through me and gives me peace. Thanks to him, I'm getting through it better.
Now I know religion is a sensitive topic, but please know I'm not trying to flood the pages with Christian propaganda. And regardless of what religion you are, I will not judge you and I still love all of you. Just because we believe in different things, doesn't mean we can't be friends. I just wanted to state a coping mechanism that works for me.
And there is good news too! I've started getting ideas for some of the stories and requests I've seen!!! It's been so long since I've written anything and the fact that I suddenly have ideas means that I'm slowly recovering a bit.
Yay!!! Progress!!!
Tumblr media
I might drop a new chapter of the Hetalia multiverse series today and one request.
Stay tuned!!!

大家好! Usually, a flu/cold takes me only a day to recover, but a pesky cold bothered me for 2 days, so I walked to the nearby coffee shop for mutton, pork or chicken. Meat is fine and has its nutritional purpose if we eat it in moderation and I have some from time to time. What I take into consideration are: how often, how much and how the meat is cooked. Whilst oil is used in stirfried and braised dishes, I generally don't finish the gravy or sauces when I eat qing dan (less oil and salt), so a lot of the oil is left behind.
Tumblr media
What I had: braised sesame oil chicken, tomato and shredded carrot scrambled eggs as well as stirfried bitter gourd and zhou (porridge). Iced local coffee completed the satisfying meal. The black stuff in some veggie dishes is hei mu er, which I eat to keep my blood pressure normal (due to its believed blood-thinning properties, it generally isn't recommended for those on blood-thinning medications here). Hei mu er is similar to mushrooms texture-wise; because it's tasteless, it takes on the flavour of whatever else it's cooked with. Bitter gourd helps prevent diabetes and in less severe cases, some claimed to have been cured naturally after eating it for prolonged periods.

Another day, another variation of fish soup, this time with yam (taro) rice. Chunks of yam, dried shrimp, cabbage and finely diced mushrooms are some of the ingredients used to make this delicious dish. At home, we sometimes swap the yam for pumpkin, which is just as yummy and nutritious. If you think about it, wholegrain bread and pasta are still made from flour, which is even more processed than white rice. Not to mention shortening is needed to bind the flour to make some of these breads and pastas so... 🤔

This week, 5 of us - MS, XT, JA, JL and me - had a stroll after our meal (our group is getting bigger!); on some days there was only enough time to circle the office building twice, but that was better than nothing. I hadn't expected this tbh; it was just a way of helping JL to break out of her largely sedentary lifestyle. On the way to eat, I casually suggested to JL that we might consider catching up on a weekend, grab a bite then go for a walk together since her home isn't that far away from mine. Hearing this, JA asked if we would head to her neighbourhood, on the opposite side of the country, so we can do this together. We'll see how it works out since all of us have time constraints.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pesky cold is gone and I'm back to feeling normal, just tired from the heavier workload. In the last few days, a coupla gym bro friends have pivoted away from diets promoting 'healthy oils' to Asian qing meals and that's a good sign. To me, it signals that they're weighing the pros of 'gains' against the risks of hypertension and heart attacks in their later years. Sure, we may have harmed our health following 'experts' from countries with lousy health statistics but there's still time to change before it's too late. 下次见!

The boyfriend is spiraling today. On top of feeling behind at work and suffering from Imposter Syndrome, he received his paycheck today. Last month we spent a week in New York. He paid for the hotel, I paid for the flight and everything else. But still, it was a lot of money. And he wasn't seeing any clients. And a lot of clients canceled appointments due to the holidays. So his paycheck was A LOT less than he was hopping for.
He said he's applying for a second job and he's talking about moving back in with his parents. He said he's going to have to ask his parents for money this month to pay his bills.
He had a job interview scheduled this morning that he canceled. I don't know why yet, he said he wants to talk to me about it. He's back-to-back with clients all day today.
And then he spirals because he feels like a burden. He's projecting that I'm tired of hearing about his work/mental/financial problems. His exact words, "Who wants to date someone financially unstable, emotionally unstable, ALL of the unstables. I check all of the boxes."
So that's what I'll be dealing with after work today. Hearing him out, reassuring him, offering him money (that he will decline), but also pointing out things that he can change to save money. For example, he hates grocery shopping and he is addicted to delivery services. So he is paying delivery fees (and tips) for fast food and groceries to be delivered to him. We need to put a stop to that. I will take him to the grocery store tonight and I will buy him groceries to get him through the week.
He is also convinced that he CAN'T cook. That he can't do anything right in the kitchen. This goes back to his mother who never taught him, because it's woman's work and a man shouldn't be in the kitchen. So I will probably bring veggies over tonight and make him a stir fry, showing him how easy it is and healthy too! (He is diabetic, and he is also not eating healthy with all that fast food.)
This is the first time you've heard about any of this, but it's all a regular cycle we go through. Since we started dating in 2020, we've gone through all of this several times a year. I've heard it all before.
This is why we are changing his meds. I am sure a lot of his struggles today are because we are weaning him off the Welbutrin and ramping up the Prozac. Emotional instability is to be expected. But he's in the middle of it and doesn't see it.

Exploring the Abundance: The Myriad Benefits of Visiting Food Courts
Food courts have been a key part of city life for some time, offering many different kinds of food all in one place. You can find them inside places with lots of people like shopping centers and office buildings, or standing on their own. These shared eating spaces are great because they're easy to get to, offer a mix of foods from various cultures, and let people come together while they eat. The benefits we get from going to food court Gurugram go beyond just feeding ourselves; they have a big influence on our culture, the economy, and how healthy we are. This article explores the many good things that food courts provide for people and whole communities, making a strong case for why they are important.
Tumblr media
Culinary diversity and exploration
A food court gives so many different kinds of food to choose from, which makes it a good place to go. You can find foods from all over the world and also local dishes in one spot. It's like you get to taste lots of unique tastes and learn about cooking styles from various places without having to travel far. Sushi, tacos, pizza or pad thai - no matter what your taste desires, these perfect spots are tailored for those who love trying new foods and for the curious ones interested in exploring different flavours: this is the diverse universe of a usual food court.
Convenience and efficiency
Convenience is very important in our quick and busy lives today; food courts stand out because they give a fast and easy way to eat. The attraction is their practical arrangement: many food sellers come together in one place, so customers can quickly look at the menus, order their food, and then get their meals without delay. You don't need to wait for a long time or book in advance at this place, which is really helpful when you have little time like during lunch hours or while shopping. It's great because people with tight timetables can enjoy their food without it interrupting their day too much; it’s a nice thing to have considering all the constant busy things we deal with every day.
Social gathering spaces
Food courts are lively places for socializing, where people from different places come to eat, talk and make connections. Friends meet here for an easy-going lunch; families enjoy spending time together while eating out or colleagues may just stop by to get some food – all sharing the same public area that these spots offer. Food courts have common sitting places and a busy, energetic environment that helps people feel like they are part of a community. This happens because there are chances for diners to talk and make friends unexpectedly.
Budget-friendly options
Eating places with many food stalls provide a good choice for people who watch their spending: the usual kind of restaurant where you sit at tables. Customers can enjoy full meals that are gentle on the wallet because there is good pricing and dishes focused on giving a lot for what you pay. Additionally, because of special offers, discounts and even meal combinations, various food court places become more appealing to shoppers who pay attention to prices. For those customers watching their spending, food courts offer a less expensive option compared to conventional restaurants where you sit at a table and order. Prices that are good for competition and meals focused on giving value make it easy for customers to enjoy delicious food without spending too much money. Also, by having special offers, discounts or meal combinations, they become more appealing to shoppers who care about saving money. The food court has many choices for every kind of spending limit, whether someone wants a small bite or a big dinner.
Family-friendly environment
Food courts are good places for families to go because they have many kinds of food that everyone, even those who do not like many foods, can enjoy. They have seats that you can move around so lots of people can sit together and parents find it easy to look after their kids while eating there. Additionally, adding options like pizza, burgers and ice cream makes sure children will find something they like to eat.
Health-conscious choices
Food courts, against what many people think, are not just about quick meals or rich snacks. These days, food courts offer a range of choices for healthy eating: there are salads; meats cooked without too much oil; and dishes made only from plants that suit both vegetarians and vegans. This is good news for anyone who wants to eat well without feeling bad later or has special rules about what they can eat. In some food court shops, people who care about their health find options that are healthy and good for them. We focus on giving choices and a range of foods to help people eat in a balanced way and make smart choices about what they eat.
Support for small businesses
Emerging business owners and chefs from the community take advantage of food courts to show off their cooking skills and business ventures. By renting a spot in these places, sellers with small operations gain access to many customers and also enjoy the advantages of using the facilities and services together with others. This relationship that helps both sides encourages new ideas, a mix of different things and good competition in the world of cooking; it makes eating out better for customers and also supports the growth of small businesses.
Versatility and adaptability
Food courts are very flexible places that can meet many different tastes, special occasions, and food needs. They offer various choices for eating and places to sit down whether you want a quick meal or to enjoy your food slowly in a relaxed setting. Furthermore, because they align closely with changing customer preferences, food court businesses keep on being successful. They regularly bring in fresh ideas that respond to these shifts, showing the strong adaptability of this model.
Conclusion
Visiting food courts offers more than just food: they are convenient, offer a variety of choices, provide places to meet people and let you discover different cultures. Food courts have something for all kinds of needs whether you want a quick bite, a fun family outing or an adventurous eating experience. These food joints in Gurugram places act as active centres for creating new food ideas and bringing people together, constantly influencing the modern eating scene and improving the experiences of customers all over the world.
