What has brought you JOY this year? What could you let go of to help you find more joy? Or what's a way, right now, that you could experience a tiny moment of joy? Do you KNOW what brings you joy?? I have been chasing joy for the past 12 months; it was my word of the year. And it was such a wonderful way to remind myself to pause and enjoy the little moments even more than I already tried to do. I would even stop and ask myself, particularly on days when I was feeling resistant to the "shoulds", what do I WANT to do instead? And then I would (usually) go do that thing! Do you choose a word of the year? Whether or not you do, I challenge you to reflect on some of the things you would like to let go of. And then consider what would negate those things. When I asked myself this question during a workshop with @amberbonnici the resounding answer was JOY. What brings you Joy? 💜 Today was one of those days that my emotions seemed to get the best of me! I never want to think that my day was any more difficult than others who are going through hard times right now. 🙏🏼 But I’ll share a bit of what’s going on. My oldest grandson has been very sick, and found out 2 days ago that he has Covid, and he’s not able to eat because it hurts his mouth. His symptoms started with very swollen eyes and mouth. Then my two nephews have Covid. My sister-in-law and her hubby, and her son all got Covid about 2 weeks ago. My hubby talked to his sister today, and she told him the hospital called her to say to come down there because they knew he wouldn’t probably make it. So my sister in law’s hubby passed away this morning. 😞 My oldest daughter, who’s son had Covid, she was just in a car accident a few days ago, and the lady who hit her was trying to take off! Luckily, there were marshals behind her that saw the whole thing, and ran after the lady, police were called and she filed a report. She’s suffering from headaches, soreness and having a hard time trying to gather her thoughts when she’s talking. My hubby found out today that his good friend he grew up with passed away last week from Covid. So today, I had to force myself to think about what Joy I do still have, despite everything that’s going on! I’m grateful to have all of my family here in Colorado, except for one older granddaughter who’s in Germany with her mom. I have love & Joy in my heart. 💖 I am grateful that I have 6 wonderful beautiful children! ❤️ I have 11 beautiful grandchildren that make me proud to be a Grandma! 😍 I have beautiful brothers & sisters, and we all have a funny & silly side to us! 😆 Tomorrow officially starts Gratitude week with my business, and my donation of $20 will help other communities! 🌞 It’s Sunday & the weekend, so I thought i would go for an informal post today friends💕💕💕...❓QUESTION❓... What brings you THE most joy???... . . .🏡🏡 Some of of you may remember that my husband & I moved to a new community in a different part of Arizona 6 months ago. We are still settling into our home. At age 56 & having moved so frequently in the last several years, I’m really in no rush to try to make my house look perfect overnight. The older I get & the more I move, the more I am comfortable waiting for things to fall into place naturally 😊. . . One of the things that I’ve always felt has made my house a ‘home’ are our family photos. I am one of those people who like ‘real’ photos in albums as well as framed and displayed throughout my house. Saving photos to a folder on my desktop simply does not give ‘me’ the same joy that seeing them throughout my home every day does ❤️❤️❤️... . . Although we’ve been furnishing & decorating the home and just finished a major landscaping project- the thing that has honestly brought me the most joy since we’ve moved was my project this past week; taking several hours to go through boxes & boxes of family photos (starting when I married my husband 31 years ago!), then creating this standing collage photo frame. It took hours of sorting & selecting my favorite family photos & every time I pass it in the hallway, I smile 😃... This frame consists of 31+ years of my husband and I building our marriage and family; and I can’t think of many more things that bring me more joy as a woman, wife & Mom 💗💗... . . Soooo... back to my initial question; ❓❓❓ When you think of when you are the most joyful, what comes to mind?
