I think I may be a little odd
#I’ve been thinking about like everything/neg/pos/breakdown inducing#and I think I’m mentally I’ll#like yeah no shit but also it’s very clear#I literally got out of breath the other day talking about wolves and Yellowstone bc I was talking so fast about them#also have very wild mood swings paired with abandonment issues constant shame for ppl caring about me and trauam over friendships bc#so many have gone wrong and I’ve been forever changed or abandoned (both in one case)#I mean I met this girl at a school meet and she just reminded me of a person who hurt me. they had the same same mannerisms looked similar#besides the hair and I had a full panic attack. I feel bad about that she probably was really nice#or how I feel sick just thinking about the local park bc it’s where I was forced to hang out with a ex friend that wrecked me#such a mixing bowl of bad traits#I can focus I can’t remember I’m either too lazy or too hyper to stay still I can’t regulate tone well and scare myself constantly just by#talking. relationships always end in a burning bridge even when they were so good bc I get so paranoid and scared they’ll leave that I leave#myself. jumping to crazy conclusions to the point I start hallucinating due to stress#I mean how do I even explain to my therapist that my only good friends ended with me skipping school the last days bc I thought one died.#she actually just left school early.#that one I kinda get even tho it’s fucking nuts bc tjat year has mentally burned me so goddamn much but still#and even tho I’ve kinda had a constant itch that something completely explains why I’m this way but am too scared to bring it up bc of#change and trauma related to bringing up my own mental health#I don’t even know what thsi is anymore sorry#should just shut up and sleep#I’ll be fine by morning anyways so what does it even fucking matter#ruse rambles#vent tag

not to complain about something nobody cares about but why are so many asmrtists so far away from the camera now. a few years ago they were all up on it right in your face how it should be and now they’re like a full two feet away. how are you trying to do a personal attention asmr when your makeup brushes are visibly nowhere near my person. it’s so odd like where did the intimacy go. also why are peoples sets so fucking bright its a legit effort to find a nice dark video with a stranger acting like they’re close to me. actually it’s not even that they’re far it’s also having no sense that the camera is a ‘person’ in the fantasy of it. doing “hair brushing” where i can see the comb will take me out of it. if you say it’s on my body but you’re putting your props on my ‘face’ that’s not real. where did the sense of interpersonal care go. i’m blaming iphones
#instead of using a camera camera it’s a phone camera where it harder to tell the space and also they shoot distance strangely#plus it’s hard to achieve a touching the camera effect without it being really fucked up#it’s certainly a more accessible way to shoot but it loses a lot#and don’t get me wrong i actually LOVE the one minuter tiktok style vertical video asmrs#that single trigger in short bursts stuff MUAH really do#but it has such a distinct visual style from other asmr and some of those choices of that style are kinda baffling#when you think about what asmr is ‘for’#couple this with like#’putting you to sleep’ videos that now require you to have your eyes open the whole time (why)#and yes shit being SO fcuking bright AND that one channel totally dominating all other no talking stuff#so that it’s actively hard to find more of itOH AND THE LONG SPEAKINH INTROS#it’s somewhat frustrating to find asmr i actually like the style of it has become very youtube#there’s like a circle of korean creators that still do the ‘older’ style which i like but i don’t speak. korean#so even that’s difficukt when i don’t want my eyes open for subtitles though granted that’s not really necessary#idk it’s weird cause there’s like already an establish ‘old’ or ‘classic’ asmr style which is ALSO distinct and older than what i mean#it’s like another new style of the genre distinct from the last which is itself distinct from the original#can an internet historian get on thsi#who’s responsible#myposts

sticking under the cut because i am just gawking at a long and deeply perplexing random post i saw in the ace attorney tag
anyway so this post starts out like this
and i was totally prepared to be like. 'okay yeah for sure. phoenix and iris.' because i mean. i try to read most posts in good faith and to me that's the character dynamic you would talk about if you wanted to talk about overlooked heterosexuality in ace attorney. i dont know Why you want to go to bat for Heterosexuality In Fiction so badly but if you were going to go to bat for it in ace attorney i feel like that's the part of the narrative where it has the most weight. especially because OP is directly invoking authorial intent here. so i was really blown away by the post continuing like this:
this just.... is not true. like i'm not even going to bother talking about simon and athena because like hell if i paid enough attention to dual destinies to have a take there. but i just... don't think this is true??? i feel like the world 'culturally normative' is doing an insane amount of heavy lifting here because. well i mean the great ace attorney is set in the meiji era. i don't think the writing being done there is the same 'culturally normative' as whatever 'culturally normative' perspective the hypothetical american moviegoing audience would bring in here.
and also why is the american movie-going public the measuring stick for what the correct/obvious interpretation of a. japanese visual novel series. should be? i don't understand... i don't understand thsi take.... this is just so surreal to me.
yeah i guess age gap pairings are pretty normal and romanticized and when a general hetero audience sees Any Man and Any Woman have a close relationship to each other their interpretation is often a heterosexual one. but also i feel like at least in the trilogy. i feel like aa1-4 do a pretty specific job of establishing phoenix and maya's relationship as distinctly Not romantic. pearl thinking theyre in love just because they care about each other is kind of a running gag. im just so confused here. i dont think there's romantic subtext between phoenix and maya i think they have a close relationship that some people Could choose to view as romantic feelings if they wanted which is just absolutely not the same thing.
like i said earlier the fact that theyre specifically saying 'this is more in line with what the people who ace attorney is written by think' is really whats doing it for me. i dont think thats the case. i simply think if shu takumi had wanted romantic tension between maya and phoenix or ryuunosuke and susato then he would have made very different writing choices than the ones he did

ok so first of all you cannot convince me murderface is not hispanic&latino . since he has no confirmed ethnic background as well as thick curly hair i drool allll over thsi headcanon its so good. i like to think hes colombian + mexican and grew up in texas.. little texmex baby do you guys get what i mean. like i even wrote about it. i also think he grew up in a very catholic household . stella murderface had That One Wall with all the crosses on it. you know what i mean
ok next up we have the worlds most blatant case of me projecting. already nathan is canonically indigenous south american (""yaneemango"" in the series, though theyre very blatantly meant to be the yanomami, so he's yanomami to me) so hes got that brazilian indigenous realness on his mother's side. but i was like NO I CAN DO MORE! so i liek to think that oscar explosion is french + moroccan. but not just any moroccan i like to think hes AMAZIGH!!! (just like me), specifically riffian :P. so yeah nathan indigenous x2 because i fucking can and its fun to imagine nathan learned a bit of french from his father
ok here comes in more mixed headcanons cause you know my mixed ass cant fucking make any character Not mixed. anyways to me toki is not only norwegian but also greenlandic. spcifically INDIGENOUS!!!! he's inuit + tunumiit :3 why ? Cause errm i can. Deal with it...
oh and heres the Big One. ive always headcanonned charles as wasian also due to his design since he has monolids (which not many people talk about) and a kinda unknown background . so we got some mixed vietnamese + korean realness going on . the danish flag comes from the theory that hes danish because toki puts the danish flag on his little meal in diversityklok and no one in dethklok is danish so it could represent charles cause the flags are meant to represent dethklok. his last name offdensen is also rly similar to the danish Odense. and then i was like.... hey..... since i did the french+moroccan thing with oscar&nathan i can do danish+greenlandic for charles.... so charles also got hit with the inuit beams, specifically kalaallit. Oh and hes jewish to me too.

I am in no way an editing professional, but the filler is cut, the gratuitously vile scenes are either done differently or also cut, and Alois and Hannah are portrayed in a kinder light, especially with Alois's backstory being handled a lot more carefully. this is like when that meme about swedish people not feeding their guests dropped... i mean im not swedish but finland has a lot of swedes and i have definitely never encountered that, same with the shoes thing...... i dont know why you wouldnt wanna take your shoes off Especially in a country with lots of snow and ice like thats just asking for dirty water everywhere. SCARY!
also lol yeah there is !! it's not super hard though.... basically spoken finnish is like a less formal way, it's usually just shortened written finnish?
take the sentence "i am going outside", in written finnish it's "minä menen ulos" , and in spoken finnish it's "mä meen ulos" . and even then some people use the longer forms when speaking, it's not really like two separate whole things, you can mix and match. that said finnish is scary otherwise so i dont blame you LOL

sorry if this is any way discouraging… not exactly the word im going … offending? jdjdjdjd I just wanted to say hearing when you say that a fic like the ichiishihime one it took a lot of time and how you wrote it slowly! like it was… very inspiring to see to me. because fjjfjf writing is v difficult and i always get frustrated when I write slow and i keep hitting blocks (honestly most of the time it’s not even blocks but more like it’s those fics that just a bit of marinating in between of working on it) but seeing how much your writing is so good and how much I really really love it. It making me more appreciate of writing slow, despite how much I want to get the end and get frustrated when there’s no progress for months or ahaha a year and more. it doesn’t feel like im alone in it and like — I love your writing so much and it makes me wonder, why can’t I love and take pride in my own too in all its slowness. as the craft of writing is like that sometimes

i'm not sure if you can relate to this, specifically, but i think for a lot of working/studying people, we're very used to having deadlines and having to be "on" all the time that maybe some of it seeps into our attitude regarding our hobbies as well. i don't mean this in a kids-these-days way, but we are also in a culture of fast consumption lately with streaming and binging, where it seems unnatural to spend YEARS with a series — even though that was a pretty normal thing to do only a few years ago😅 the urgency of that kind of gives the impression that you have a limited window of time to stay "relevant" before people stop being interested in your work and move onto something else!
BUT. the thing about fandoms is that they are alive forever. even if everyone else has moved on, there's always going to be at least one rando on the internet writing fic and one japanese artist on twitter still dropping renaissance level masterpieces. which is all to say....the pressure to write fast is the devil talking and we must NEVER listen to it!!! there is no deadline and even if you feel like there is, there are going to be days where you have IRL commitments that keep you busy. and sometimes you might have an entire afternoon off but still be unable to come up with a single word. my creativity has always arrived in random streaks and if i'm free, i try my best to take advantage of it and put it all on a doc. if i'm not feeling creatively inspired, i don't write at all, i just do something else that i enjoy doing.
believe it or not, when i was writing A Combination of Factors, there were WEEKS where i only wrote 2-3 sentences a day. yeah, that's slow, but i still put it out eventually, right? the chadhime training scene in Therein Lies the Heart was actually something spinning in my head since 2019 (when i got back into the bleach fandom again) but i only managed to work it into a story earlier this year.
the reason i'm giving these examples is because sometimes it's good to sit on an idea for a while, even if the urge to share a good thing instantly is definitely understandable! more often than not, you'll get more good ideas you can add to the story and build it in a better, satisfying way. i know this from experience because there are a lot of stories that i was so excited to share that i jumped the gun and then later thought, "damn, i still had more left in me." not that i regret it because i go in, add it anyway and then update the author's notes in case any re-readers get confused by the extra content that definitely wasn't here last time :D my policy on that is: it's fanfic, who cares, i make the rules. it also helps to have more than one WIP so you can always have something else to work on if you feel like writing but this one particular story is giving you trouble.
anyway, i love the part where you mentioned taking pride in your own work because i think you definitely should! even if no one loves your fic but you, you still deserve to pat yourself on the back because ONE WHOLE PERSON enjoyed your story! the important thing, as i always say, is to be deeply involved and self-indulgent with it! 💖

Avantgarda: Richter - Set 13
Your blade and my soul!
Hello again! With Will+Dress (and Yuyu's story in general) rounded out, content for the WD gang might've stopped in animated form, but rest assured I still have plenty of decks to go through! Not just with Set 13, but earlier stuff as well!
So why not keep the energy going with a deck that I have gotten Extremely familliar with since its new boss units released 2 months ago! Avantgarda, Richter!
[ACT](Hand):If your opponent's vanguard is grade 3 or greater, COST [reveal this card & bind a "Blue Deathster, "Skyrender" Avantgarda" on (VC)], ride this card as [Stand], and it gets all of the original [ACT] abilities of the card bound for this cost until end of turn.
[AUTO](VC):At the end of the battle this unit attacked, if your soul has a "Blue Deathster, Sora Period", COST [discard two cards from hand], choose a "Blue Deathster, "Skyrender" Avantgarda" from your bind zone, ride it as [Stand], and it gets [Power]+10000/drive -1 until end of turn.
Thsi card takes Avant's 'make big swings and blow up the opponent' approach and turns it up to 11! By combining it with support like Arla, Req, and the big bad Death Winds, the heights this deck can soar to are incredible!

Starting this lower section off with talking about Ala Dargente (or however you spell it) as she is the most important card in the deck outside of richter himself!
Immediately, her ability to power up for each Avant swing means that she's going to get massive on a full-power Richter turn! By combining a persona ride, richter's skill and deathwinds together, Ala can end up reaching 55k before triggers or boosts! Her ability to search deck or drop for strategy cards is amazing too! It'll keep you in the game as long as you need to be in terms of offensive capabilities!
Outside of Ala, the other card I mentioned also segues nicely into one of the main creative choices I made with this deck, Req Gewehner!
Req's power might not go up as high as Ala's, but it goes up a lot easier and will go up to its maximum no matter what from turn 3 onward! Combine him with a boost from a card like Asagi (13k if you set a strategy that turn), then persona and deathwinds? You're hitting the opponent with 53k! No matter what triggers they play that's a 3 card guard!
My choice of Req also means that i dont run the cycler, Habitable Zone. While that card is great for discard fodder which helps keep the deck alive, not only is it expensive and i own this deck IRL, but its functionality is limited without reducing copies of stuff like Asagi or the set-orders to make room for Refablishment Dock (a set order that makes your g2s boost).
Aside from that, front's help your power go even higher and act as even greater shield! What's not to like about that?
That's all on my Richter deck! With Ala releasing just a few days ago in EN, I hope to pick up some copies and make this deck as good as it can be IRL!

Can I get a angsty ask for tfp Optimus. On the episode of One shall fall, where Optimus finally decides that megatron has to die in order fot there to be peace. Can i get his headcannons reaction to one of his autobots hearing him say that, then gets really angry then leaving the autobots after telling him this: " after many years of hundreds of our friends and the ones we care about getting slaughtered and using their lives as cannon fodder for thsi war, your just now coming to that conclusion!? After hundreds of us died horrible deaths at the hands of that monster. Now you choose to decide that he has to die for there to be peace!?. Just for the sake of your past friendship with that tyrant!?. Do you have any idea how many bots followed you, because they believed in you, they believed that you could lead them to a better future, one that they could live to see! You could have ended megatron a million times before! You could have prevented millions of needless deaths But your telling us that you now only decided to make the decision because you just now came to your senses!?....I followed you here because I believed in you and what Chance of hope we had with you to lead us. But after some time no one, maybe Ratchet, will notice it or question why he is a lot more cautious
