I ship Hunter & Willow but I don't ship Hunter & Willow.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I think it's sweet that Hunter is having his first crush & it's on Willow.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I think they complement each other nicely & would do well in any type of relationship they would choose to have with each other. Platonic, Romantic, QPR, anything.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want Hunter to be able to have his first crush without feeling like he has to pursue a romantic relationship or even tell her about his crush on her.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want Hunter to be more than happy being Willow's friend.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want Willow to know he has a crush on her but she's still friends with him despite never or not currently feeling the same way.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in it'd be equally as sweet if both or one of them is aro, ace, or aroace & they're very happy being in a best friend relationship or QPR.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in if Willow is aroace- Hunter & the others respect that & don't try to convince her "to try it out".
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want Hunter to know that he still needs a lot of work to learn how to be a good friend & he needs to focus on that much more than learning how to be a good boyfriend. Even if Willow does like him back.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want his crush to fade after a while & if Willow isn't aro then maybe later she develops a crush on him while he doesn't currently see her in that way. As many relationships do.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in if or when they do like each other romantically at the same time that they don't feel like they have to be in a romantic relationship right now or ever.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want them to be best friends as they get older & talk about everything- even about one liking the other or both of them liking each other.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in if they do both like eachother- I want them to be able to have a conversation about to it & discus if they want to date now, later, or ever. Without it changing their friendship if they decide that now is not a good time or they simply don't want to date at all.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want Luz (& probably Amity too) to be scolded for pestering them about "when they're going to be boyfriend & girlfriend" & scolded for meddling & trying to get them to date. Because it's not up to Luz (& Amity) to decide if that's something they want to do.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in if they decide they do want to date- that its only after they've already been best friends for years.
I ship Hunter & Willow as in I want them to be best friends above all else-
no matter if they are dating or not.

Feverdream crossover
had a dream that someone I knew in class made a Spotify playlist for a ship, like how you do, of William Afton and Philip Wittabane (or listed as Belos in the playlist). And they submitted for a project grade in our latest Ela assignment. And to top it all off, our Ela teacher put it IN his class presentation, using it as an example of the projects already submitted. Even strongly recommended that we check it out on Spotify (where it was born), implying that he had PERSONALLY listened to it. And honestly I cant tell if this is some kind of foresight, since our english teacher gives us a lot of creative projects and basically says go ham on it 💂‍♂️

2022 media consumption year in review
God tier
Matthew Swift series and Magicals Anonymous duology by Kate Griffin (reread). London sorcerer is raised from the dead and accidentally gets fused to the blue electric angels of the telephone lines along the way. Luscious prose, best urban magic I've ever read, and wickedly funny sense of humor.
Kane and Feels - podcast. Paranormal investigators go around London poking the mystic forces with a sharp stick. Surreal. Funny. Moderately comprehensible. There's nothing else quite like it. Someone described it as "the anti-TMA: you cannot form any theories about it no matter how hard you try."
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North (reread) - two time travelers, defined as people stuck in time loops of their own lives, attempt to unravel the mystery of their existence. Suspenseful and beautifully constructed piece of nonlinear storytelling.
The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender (reread) - Rose tastes people's emotions in food. Her brother disappears into thin air. Their parents are fine. Surreal and haunting pearl of a story.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson - after a family tragedy, the surviving Blackwoods live in isolation from the village. A little Piranesi-ish subverted horror: the sense there's a secret at the heart of the world, and the secret is both joyful and terrible.
Our Flag Means Death - the crangst-filled pirate show that it seemed like the internet lost its mind over, for good reason.
Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space - Bee travels between the island and fishbowl space working temp jobs with Puppycat, until their pasts catch up with them. Dreamy, bittersweet, and gorgeous. Season finale was a banger.
Vesper Flights by Helen MacDonald (reread). Nature essays on humans and birds. Quiet, luminous, and filled with love of place. Faves were "The Human Flock", "High Rise", "Eulogy", and "What Animals Taught Me"
Natsume's Book of Friends (anime) - Technically about boy who can see youkai, learning how to navigate the world of human relationships. But really about masking, healing from trauma, and learning to trust.

Attending Supanova Melbourne 2023
So yeah, went to Supanova this year. Gonna put everything under the cut in case it gets lengthy.
First, how did the big thing go? Well, here’s the autograph I got.
Tumblr media
Wasn’t too surprised the wait for Tem was a decent amount of time, but I was standing there for a decent amount of time. Honestly the worst part was having to hear the Jurassic Park theme blared over and over because of this anniversary attraction they had set up.
The meeting was fairly brief and impersonal, but he seemed pretty chill. Was too nervous to really say much or speak properly, but oh well, at least I got to meet him for a minute. XP
The line to get in wasn’t too bad, actually. I saw many people in cosplay at the train station so was expecting a lot to get in, but it turned out fine for the most part.
Lots of food stalls. I’m sceptical of con food so I just got a smoothie, though I was offered some cookie later on which was nice. One of the weirder things we spotted was what seemed to be... recruitment for Australian intelligence agency? No thanks, not joining the army. :v
Got to see many stalls too. Mostly artist ones, saw some stuff I recognised both fandom wise (MANY modern cartoons) and even one or two artists I actually follow. Didn’t really do much in that regard, but it was nice to see. Probably what was most amusing was that I saw a stand with body pillows, another with those boob mousepads, lol. A couple of other nice stands too, like one focusing on Polynesian heroes, and a lot of the expected fan organisations like I think the Mandalorian Mercs?
Anyway... the most fun part was definitely seeing all the cosplay. Here’s everything I can recall that stood out to me.
So to start, I met up with a friend I occasionally see IRL, and he knew some other people, and they were cosplaying from the Guilty Gear games. I don’t know anything about the franchise, but I just have to commend the effort, because this guy got a whole ass coffin made, and he was wheeling it around everywhere with us. From what I can find, the character’s name is Goldlewis Dickinson? Two of the others were dressed as this one blonde girl with a yo-yo, and another was an alien that would pose inside the coffin.
So much Star Wars. Was to be expected, but still. So many Mandalorians (and many Din Djarins specifically). So many Grogus I wish I had a tally to count how many I saw. There were a few Boba Fetts, a few Jedi and Sith (only ones from memory I think I recognised were Obi-Wan and Kylo Ren, yes he’s not a Sith but whatever lol). Noticed some stormtroopers and TIE pilots too. There were some clones, one or two Rexes, and at least one 501st clone. Got to see a clone scout trooper too, which was cool. the only thing on my bingo Saw a remote controlled R2-D2 and another remote controlled astromech I’m not sure I remember, but I think it’s the one Obi-Wan took with him to Utapau in Revenge of the Sith? The colours were close at least. Think I saw some Leias and Padmes too, and even a Narkina 5 prisoner. Besides the clone scout, probably the highlight was someone in a whole Gonk Droid costume. They had the box and everything.
This was pretty small, but a guy was dressed as a chef and had a raccoon on their head. Yes, that was Raccaconie from Everything, Everywhere All at Once.
There was a guy dressed as Ronald McDonald... with Colonel Sanders’ decapitated head. Even had “I’m killin’ it” on the back of the outfit.
Yep, I found some Danganronpas. No Tsumugis (come on guys it’s such a meta idea someone please do it), but I did spot a Komaeda. without a Sans I saw at least one or two Junkos, but I noticed a surprising amount of Mikans? And like, I even saw Nurse Joy from Pokemon around, so I was able to tell when the nurse outfit was hers. Also found an Ibuki and I think a Chihiro and a Toko? Also a couple of Monokuma style outfits, one guy had cool facepaint that mimicked the character.
Saw a couple of Owl House cosplays. One person was I think Willow, I saw a Lilith, and maybe an Amity too? Think I saw someone dressed as Luz too.
Noticed a few Doki Doki cosplays. There was one really cool Monika as I was entering I wish I was able to catch a photo of. There was a couple I struggled to be able to tell, but maaaaybe I spotted a Sayori and Natsuki... or two? I recognised a Yuri though, and she was with one or two other Monikas.
Some Doctor Who stuff I noticed. A purple Dalek, and one of the classic ones at a stand. Think I might’ve seen an Eleventh Doctor and maybe also an Amy Pond? Was hard to tell.
I saw a few of those blow up dino costumes, lol.
I’m CERTAIN I saw someone with their head covered with Red Guy from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
I did spot a group as MLP characters.
There were furries attending!
There might’ve been a Spyro? It looked like a Spyro onesie at least, but they were wearing something over it so IDK.
There were some She-Ras, I’m pretty sure one was even a guy crossdressing. And it was the old fashioned skimpy design too.
Someone had the Lord Farquaad dress up with the giant head, lol.
There was a Miles Edgeworth.
Lots of the expected superhero outfits, but one that stood out to me was Joker and Harley but it was the guy as Harley and the girl as Joker.
Many Pokemon cosplays, some Nurse Joys as I alluded to, but also a blow up Pikachu costume, and I think I saw this group of this one Pokemon I don’t remember the name of, but they looked like they had green hats or something? My friend I was with said they might be based on kappa.
I think there was one of The Last of Us zombies?
I didn’t recognise shit cuz I don’t know the franchise but apparently there was a lot of Genshin Impact?
Oh yeah... LOTS of Homestuck for some reason.

“You thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’, bro?” Vee asked.
“Yeah.” Hunter smirked. “After the failure of a normal monster, Belos will send his top general next. And with Lilith here with us, that means it’s our old friend.” “Kikimora.” Luz glared. “If we can take her out, then he’ll have no choice but to come himself,” Vee added.
“But what’s stopping her from just running away again?” Willo asked.
“She’ll be too scared for that,” Hunter explained. “She knows if she doesn’t go back to Belos with the galderstones, he’ll kill her himself.”
“So, we get our chance to finally take her out and then we wait for Belos. Once he comes down to take care of this himself for once, POW!” Gus shouted. “We give him a piece of our minds!”
“So it’s a plan!” Eda shouted. “Get your butts down to the graveyard and wait for Kikimora to show her sorry face again!”
“RIGHT!” The Rangers shouted, as they morphed and teleported to the graveyard.

The final showdown begins! Chapter 19 of my Owl House/Power Rangers fic! Enjoy!

I will always headcanon that Lux had a small crush on Willow after she saved her in "I was a teenage abomination."
Like, come on. You can't tell me fantasy need Luz wouldn't see a girl like Willow sacrifice herself and use magic to save her and not go "Oh shit, I'm too gay for this😳"

WIP Wednesday!
Luz sat cross-legged on the living room floor of the owl house. The tip of her tongue peeked out as she focused intently on a small strip of paper, messily scribbling down ingredients she could barely pronounce. Amity would arrive soon and Luz didn’t want to be behind, especially for what she had planned.
“alllllllmost..”  Luz finished the list and hastily looked the paper up and down, checking that she hadn’t left out anything important. The human didn’t want her friend to wait too long… for Amity’s sake and Hooty-
“NO, NO PLEASE NOT AGAIN. LUZ IT’S-”
Amity! Just in time.
Hooty’s door swung open, revealing a well-dressed Amity in the midst of summoning a magic circle to (presumably) attack the bird-worm with. As Luz approached the porch Amity’s face softened, her arms dropping to her sides and then quickly to her cheeks as they turned a bright red.
“Uhh.. um hi Luz.” She cleared her throat “I- um… I'm here for Willow’s surprise party. That you asked me to come to. Because it’s Willo-” “I’m glad you came!”....

Luz’s mother really doesn’t want to send Luz to camp. She knows once she leaves, there is no going back. But Luz has a knack for getting into trouble, and one day she stumbles into the same type of people her mother would have preferred she avoided. After helping Luz dissolve her high school bully into dust, Eda and Lilith know right away that this kid is just like them - a child of the gods. So Luz hops on a Pegasus and heads to Camp Half-blood, where she embarks on a dangerous quest that makes her both friends and enemies... and she might even save Olympus along the way.
Chapter Nine: I Kill the National Bird for a Flower Crown
Luz thought Antheia’s flower shop was lovely. It reminded her of those cottages her Mami had always wanted to buy in Vermont. The walls were made of stone and wood planks, all the décor was set in earthy neutrals, and there was a roaring fire stirring some kind of delicious stew.
Luz and her friends were instructed delicately by Antheia to sit in her living room on the soft plush couches. It was behind the cash register and check out, which Luz thought was an odd layout but knew better than to comment on it. Antheia waved her hand around the coffee table and a cup of tea and a tray of cookies appeared out of thin air. Once Luz got over her shock, she helped herself to them eagerly. The tea was perfect: and it was chamomile just like Antheia had said she’d needed. Antheia sat with them, watching them eat and drink with that same easy-going smile on her face.
The place was covered with flowers from head to toe. Some of them Luz recognized, like the pansies in the open window or the tulips (she was pretty sure it wasn’t tulip season) in the hanging basket in the living room. But there were other flowers she had never seen before, and quite frankly, she would have noticed if they did exist. There was an array of what looked like gold roses, a bucket of bronze hawthoria, and on the windowsill… it looked like a group of silver sprouts.
“Is that moonlace?” Willow awed, peeking over Luz’s shoulder for a better look.
Antheia smiled at Willow. “Always nice to meet a demigod with an interest in the beauty of flowers. Yes, before Ogygia was abandoned I went there myself to bring a few samples of moonlace back here. It’s incredibly rare.”
“It’s incredibly beautiful…” Willow sighed, clasping her hands together.
“Are you a child of Aphrodite, dear?” She asked Willow, who shook her head.
“Demeter.”
“Ah, just as lovely,” Antheia said eagerly. “Her children have always been fond of my gifts.”
“This is a lovely shop, my lady,” Gus started, but Antheia tisked gently and waved her hand.
“No need for formalities, Augustus. I am in your debt. You are here to do me a great service.”
Luz looked at Willow and Gus uncertainly, and Gus seemed taken aback. He gently set his tea down on the table.
“Pardon me, Antheia,” he said slowly, “what do you mean by a ‘great service’?”
The goddess looked momentarily taken aback before the smile quickly returned to her face. “Oh, of course, you wouldn’t have been told the full details, after all, I only heard this morning that you would be coming, so there was always a chance you were too preoccupied to put the pieces together.”
Luz looked at her friends again, but before she could open her mouth to comment that perhaps Antheia was mistaken, she had kept going.“My lady always did put her faith in the best kind of demigods, you know. After all, this problem has been going on for so long, and without my sisters to help me, I fear I would be too outmatched on my own.”
Luz was a little dense, but she realized what was happening the moment Antheia spun her hand and her cup of tea refilled.
“Aphrodite offered out services in exchange for the ride,” she said, and Antheia placed a gentle hand on Luz’s shoulders. The gesture immediately filled her with a feeling of warmth she hadn’t felt in so long. Her Mami’s trust, the love of her new friendships at camp, the home she now came to love. There was something else there too, but she couldn’t quite place it. The gesture immediately put her at ease, and she sunk into the couch cushions.
“You need not feign surprise to appease me, child.” She said soothingly, and Luz’s ear tickled as she spoke into it. “I am one of the Graces, an attendant to the goddess of love. I stand for the love and growth of humanity, both flowers and human love itself. I know that a group of kind and compassionate adventurers like yourselves would help me regardless of if you owe my lady. My lady knows this too, or she would not have answered the prayers of her children.”
Luz knew that she and her friends were on a tight schedule, and Antheia knew that too, because now she turned to Gus and Willow, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. Like Luz, they seemed to lean right into the touch, enamored.
“I know you are heroes on a noble quest. Lady Hestia is the fire of Olympus, and without her everything, we know dear will crumble. But my lady has bought you some time, so surely one side stop on your way won’t be too troublesome? In exchange, I will give you something to help with your adventure.”
Luz didn’t like the sound of everything she knew crumbling, but when she looked and her friends she knew their hands were tied. This was the deal the Blight twins had made with their mother, whether they had known it at the time or not. Luz and her friends would have to deal with the consequences.“Alright,” she said, though it wasn’t as confident as she would have liked it to be. “What can we do for you, Lady Antheia?”
She walked to the window, and Luz and her friends hesitantly looked up out it.
“I have stationed myself here, in Mt. Airy Forest,” she said, gesturing to the deep wood. “It is peaceful, but it is not without its pests. I cannot leave my cabin for long as long as the eagle roams the forest.”
“You want us to kill an eagle?” Luz blinked, shuffling nervously. “I’m pretty sure that’s against the law.”
“This is no ordinary eagle,” Antheia said seriously. “This eagle has plagued legends for centuries, and my sisters and I fear it deeply. I would like them to come to visit, but they will not unless this beast is destroyed.”
“The Caucasian Eagle,” Gus said, and Luz spun around to look at him. His voice had risen in pitch, and he looked very nervous. “But it hasn’t been seen in thousands of years!”
“It has returned, and I fear why,” Antheia confirmed. “It was not by the will of Zeus, and therefore it must be destroyed.”
“You want us to kill a white eagle?” Now Luz was really confused.
Willow nudged her shoulder seriously, and Luz quieted. Antheia opened the door for them, and the three demigods headed towards it, drawing their weapons. Aletheia shifted into its sword form, shimmering in the light of the shop.
“The eagle is likely up now, if you destroy it soon, you will be on your way long before the evening hits. If you return, I will have a reward ready for your great service.”
She all but slammed the door behind the three half-bloods, and now that Luz wasn’t all doved up with love magic, she scowled.
“I’m going to kill Edric and Emira when we get back.”
“If the eagle doesn’t tear us to shreds first,” Willow said slowly, gripping her sword tightly.
“It’s not going to be an easy kill,” Gus said quietly, fiddling with his spear. “The Caucasian Eagle was the one sent by Zeus to torture Prometheus. Hercules killed it with a volley of arrows. We’re short on those, so we’ll have to find some other way to get it to come close to us.”
The three of them paced around the forest outside the flower shop, keeping their eyes open for an eagle. But it was quiet on the forest floor, and after almost twenty-minute had passed, Luz was about ready to give up.
“I don’t see this stupid bird anywhere!” Luz groaned, lying down on the grass.
“Luz, be ready,” Gus hissed, looking around nervously. “We don’t know when it’s going to show itself.”
“Well, it hasn’t yet,” Luz shrugged. “Are we sure it’s even around here?”A deafening screech quieted her immediately, and Luz shot up, clenching her sword in her hand in terror. Out of the trees shot a massive bronze eagle, easily with a wingspan of at least ten feet wide. It came soaring down towards Luz, and out of pure instinct she swung, and the bird shrieked, spinning back up towards the sky.
“Holy Zeus that’s a big bird!” Gus yelped, and he reached over to his watch and clicked it. Out expanded a bronze shield almost identical to the one he’d used during capture the flag. When the bird came rearing back towards him with its massive talons, he deflected them off his shield and Willow stabbed with her sword, and the beast spun, narrowly dodging.
“What do we do?” Willow yelled, and Luz ran to regroup with her friends. The bird soared above them, cawing in fury, and Luz quickly began to feel overwhelmed. It could easily carry off one of them in its talons, and they were sharp enough to cut one of them open right there.
“We need to damage its wings so it can’t fly!” Gus said, just before the beast lunged again. Luz rolled right, slashing up with her sword towards it right as its talons snatched right where she had just been standing. She yelped in pain as the edge of one talon scrapped over her shoulder as she rolled, drawing blood. Once again, the bird managed to dodge both Gus’s stab and Willow’s slash, soaring back into the sky.
They tried, but every time the bird lunged, it would spin and dodge their strikes to its wings. Over and over again, the bird would dive, and they would barely manage to clip feathers. Gus kept insisting they had to hit the wings, but there was no way to do it with the bird getting the height on them. It was starting to feel hopeless.
Then, on one tough lunge, the talon had managed to scrape by Willow’s leg, and knock her off her feet. Willow cried out in pain, holding her leg as it bled profusely, and Luz and Gus slashed angrily to get the eagle away as it soared back into the sky.
They ran to Willow, trying to give her cover. She was trembling next to Gus, clearly trying hard not to cry. The slash was long and deep, and Luz knew just by looking at it she would need stitches.
The bird was circling again, waiting to try and pick them off one by one. Luz felt her despair quickly turn to rage. It might have been the pain in her shoulder or the overall frustration with the way their mission had gotten sidetracked, but Luz was getting angry, and when she got angry, she got loud.
“Hey, you stupid bird brain!” She yelled, putting a little distance between herself and Willow. “Over here!”
The eagle cawed angrily, and suddenly, Luz had a plan. She turned her body so she was facing Gus, and waved her sword up at the bird.
“Come and get me!”
“Luz, what are you doing?” Gus hissed, clutching his spear uncertainly.“Trust me!” She just said, pointing her sword back up at the bird.
The eagle spun in the air, it’s sharp eyes pointing toward her furiously. It tucked back its wings, ready to dive.
“Get ready!” She yelled to Gus, and right as the bird was about to make contact with her, she screamed, “Now!”
There was a clang and a crash as the talons of the bird connected against Luz’s sword, and she pushed desperately to keep the bird steady. Then, the bird screamed, rearing back in agony as Gus stabbed right into its back with his spear, and it let go of Luz’s sword in an effort the fly away. But Luz was quicker, and she lunged, cutting right across the bird’s neck with Aletheia, and the bird quieted, dissolving into dust around her feet.
Luz collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily. Gus stumbled backward and sheathed his spear, walking over to Luz and helping her up. Luz winced, remembering the pain in her shoulder, but a cry from behind Gus quickly halted all her own pain at that moment.
“Willow!”
Luz and Gus kneeled around their injured friend, who was clutching her leg. When she looked up at their faces, she feigned a confident smile. “I’ll be fine, it’s not even broken…”
“Willow this is a deep cut,” Luz said seriously. She knew that her Mami would recommend a hospital. It was deep and still bleeding, and Willow’s hands were now covered in blood.
“It’s nothing nectar can’t fix,” Willow said certainly, and Gus walked around and reached into her backpack and pulled out a canteen from it, uncapping it and pouring some of the contents over the wound.
Luz had no idea what they were talking about and definitely didn’t think Gus should be putting that much water on an open wound. “Gus what are you-”
She closed her mouth at Willow’s happy sigh and watched in amazement as the wound began to close until all that remained was a white scar.
“Nectar,” Gus said to Luz with a smile, letting Willow drink a little from the canteen. She immediately perked up and stood, brushing the dirt off her pants. “Drink of the gods. It cures the wounds and illnesses of demigod’s but you can’t have too much or you’ll burn up.”
Luz didn’t like the sound of that, but Gus didn’t give her a choice. He walked over and poured some over the wound on her shoulder, and Luz felt a warmth flow through her body before he let her drink some. It tasted just like her Mami’s Sopa de Lima, which was strange since it looked just like apple juice.
All at once, Luz’s strength returned, and sure enough, when she looked the wound on her shoulder had disappeared. There wasn’t a scar left behind or anything. Even the scar from her game of capture the flag had disappeared.
“Lighter wounds tend to vanish a lot faster,” Willow explained.
Gus closed the canteen and walked over to the remaining pile of eagle dust. Left behind was a pile of bronze feathers, and Gus scoped them up.
“One for each of us. Plus, we can give one to Antheia as proof of our kill.”
Each of them took a bronze feather, and Luz put hers carefully in her backpack, excited to add it to her slowly growing collection of war spoils.
The three of them headed back to the flower shop in much better spirits than when they left. Nobody had gotten hurt, and they still had plenty of time to get on a train or bus west.
“Mt. Airy is just outside Cincinnati,” Gus said with an excited smile. “We’ll be able to find a way west with no problems at all.”
“I don’t know, we’re pretty deep in the Midwest…” Willow said with a frown. “There won’t be many trains.”
“Whatever we have to do, we’ll make it work!” Luz said with a smile. “We just killed the white eagle-”
“Caucasian Eagle,” Gus corrected.
“Caucasian Eagle!” Luz repeated. “We can do anything.”
Sure enough, as they walked into the flower shop with the extra feather, Antheia greeted them with an enthusiastic welcome. She walked up and kissed each of them on the cheek, causing Gus and Luz to blush.
“Thank you, my heroes!” She said enthusiastically. “Now my sisters can visit me without being scared away by that hideous bird. My lady was right to favor you. Now, onto your reward…”
She waved her hand, and on their heads, they each received a flower crown, Willow’s adorned with green flowers, Gus with blue, and Luz with purple. They all cooed in excitement, reaching up to touch them.
“The crowns will wilt over time, but while you wear them you will have my blessing. In Ancient times, the Greeks worshiped me for my gentleness and kindness. You will find that people will treat you the same.”
“Lady Antheia, we are honored,” Willow said, and even Luz was shocked, reaching up to gently touch the flowers with her hand.
“Nonsense, I owe you, children, a great debt,” she said, and then like she was just remembering something, she snapped her finger.
“There is a man approaching in a car ready to take you to downtown Cincinnati,” she said with a smile. “He will do this free of charge, but you must not keep him waiting. I understand the seriousness of your quest, and though he is mortal, he will too.”
Luz and her friends all thanked Antheia, and they left her shop with her smiling from the door, waving a gentle hand.
“Good luck heroes, and oh, Luz?”
Luz turned her head while her friends kept walking, and Antheia shot her a knowing smile.
“Aphrodite has favored you above all others, especially on your quest, but your father has not forgotten you. Remember this on your journey.”
Luz blinked, wondering if Antheia could see through her more than she originally thought. Nodding she turned her head and followed Willow and Gus to the rocky dirt path where a yellow taxi was waiting for them.

Everyone's favorite piece of clothing they have (if applicable)
I stretched the meaning of clothing, a bit, to include whatever the champions are wearing (including jewelry, etc). I hope that’s okay!
-Mod Androxus
Ash- Given how she fights, Ash is probably pretty attached to her armor. Her ram pauldron might be her favorite piece, though. It’s big, good for shoulder bashing, and intimidating.
Barik- His safety goggles. They might be broken, now, but they’ve stood strong in the past through all sorts of mechanical mishaps. If he didn’t have them, he might not have working eyes, so he owes them that.
Fernando- I’m going to turn this on its head and say that Fernando’s least favorite article of clothing is his helmet. Sure, it protects him, but it obscures his beautiful face.
Inara- While she takes pride in her skirt, gloves, and other clothing, Inara’s favorite is smaller. Its the flower in her hair. It never dies or wilts, and in that regard it’s like stone.
Makoa- He doesn’t wear a whole lot of anything, but he would jokingly answer his shell. I mean, it’s literally part of his spine.
Ruckus- He thinks his fingerless gloves make him look cool, like a battle pilot. They’re worn in from use, but he won’t stop wearing them. Truthfully, they were regular gloves that Ruckus cut the fingers off of.
Terminus- He doesn’t wear much, and isn’t concerned with favorites. If he had to chose, it might be his headdress.
Torvald- His glasses. He wouldn’t be able to see anything without them, and he needs precise sight to read books and work with rune magic.
Bomb King- As a golem, he can’’t change clothes or put them on. Still, his favorite ‘clothing’ item is undoubtedly his crown, for obvious reasons.
Cassie- Her cape. It was one of her father’s capes that he would wear hunting in the woods. When she ran off to join the Paladins, she figured it would protect against the cold better than nothing.
Drogoz- His horn baubles. They were his first valuable treasure, and from the moment he clipped them on, he felt more like a real dragon than he ever had.
Kinessa- Either her scarf or her boots. She doesn’t have a strong sentimental attachment to either, but both are practical and exactly her favorite style.
Lian- She prides herself on representing House Aico with her clothing, so all of her clothing is a special in that right. Her favorite might be her gloves- a well known symbol of her house.
Sha Lin- He likes to keep things simple but dramatic, and so his favorite clothing is his shirt. It’s practical for desert travel, and shows off his good looks. Its a win-win.
Strix- Definitely his owl cape or hood. Despite the rest of the Magistrate snipers wearing assigned uniforms that help camouflage them, Strix stays hidden and connected to his home with his unique cape.
Tyra- Her bear pelt. It was one of her most thrilling hunts, and she wears the pelt as a badge of honor. It keeps her warm and shows enemies and friends that she means business.
Viktor- His belt. It holds ammo, supplies, weaponry like his bombs, and whatever else he needs. The crystal in it packs some magical energy that he can use, as well.
Vivian- Her short-coat. Its bright red and elegant design gives her even more of a commanding presence than otherwise, and it lets everyone know that she’s aligned with the Magistrate.
Willo- She doesn’t wear many different articles of clothing, so her flower skirt is by default her favorite. Bright colors tend to be a status symbol among fairies, and Willo’s colors show off that she’s a ‘knight’ of sorts.
Grohk- His headdress marks him as chief of his tribe, so it’s no doubt that it’s important to him. Besides, the horns on its sides strike fear into more cowardly enemies.
Grover- While he doesn’t wear anything and can’t really wear anything, Grover appreciates it when the forest creatures decorate his branches with flower garlands.
Jenos- He takes pride in all of his celestial clothing, but none more so than his mask. It protects mortals from seeing his face, which could be dangerous for them.
Mal’Damba- Likewise, Mal’damba’s mask is his favorite ‘clothing’. It protects his identity and helps him connect more with Wekono- it means a lot to him, from a spiritual standpoint.
Pip- His vest. It’s very comfortable, doesn’t get all full of his hair, and is still practical in battle. It keeps him warm, but doesn’t let him get too hot. It’s a pretty darn good vest.
Seris- Her blindfold. If her eyes- or possible lack thereof- were visible to mortals, the result could be disastrous. Even a glance at them might drive someone to insanity, if they aren’t strong of will.
Ying- Her entire dress is more comfortable than it looks, though it isn’t all that comfortable. Luckily, it doesn’t matter as much since she floats rather than walks.
Androxus- Like many champions on this list, Androxus favors his mask. He’s scared of what others might think of him, if he didn’t wear it. If he had to chose more conventional clothes, it would be his coat.
Buck- His red sash was a gift to him at the monastery for all of his training. Even in battle, he wears it as a sign that he is bringing peace, even if it has to be brought by unfortunate methods.
Evie- Her dress makes her feel cute and powerful. She doesn’t need to look like a stereotypical teen witch, but she wants people to know what she’s about- and that she’s dangerous to mess with.
Lex- Honestly, his entire uniform- but mostly the upper half, since it’s more recognizable. It assures him that the power of the Outer Tribunal is behind him and he receives respect in most places.
Maeve- Even though she’s half-tigron, Maeve would lack many of her magical abilities without her coat. As such, it’s a favored treasure of hers. Anything to be more lethal.
Moji- Her hat. Well, she mostly likes her hat because Po-Li takes it from her and tries to chew on it. As much as it seems annoying in the moment, it’s helped her build a relationship with her goofy familiar.
Skye- She doesn’t have too many articles of clothing on, given that she wears a bodysuit. That bodysuit, however, helps her to turn invisible and get the drop on her marks. Plus, it matches her hair color.
Talus- His headpiece is a symbol of the Ska’Drin, one that he proudly wears to prove that they’re still alive and will fight back for their freedom. It’s a bit too big for his head, since his horns haven’t grown in all the way, yet.
Zhin- His heavy, embroidered coat is a symbol of what he’s made himself. He grew from ashes into the leader of the thousand hands. It’s a bit too warm, at times, but it fits well and is somewhat soft on the inside.
