stray kids: discography
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i remember getting very confused about their song releases and just the discography in general, so i compiled official releases in one post.
stray kids also have multiple songs only released on youtube, usually under "SKZ-RECORD", which means they're not on albums (or spotify). these are the ones:
ORIGINALS (only on youtube):
DRIVE - CHAN, LEE KNOW
UP ALL NIGHT - 오늘 밤 나는 불을 켜 - SEUNGMIN, FELIX, CHANGBIN, CHAN
MAKNAE ON TOP - 막내온탑 - I.N, feat. CHAN, CHANGBIN
LITTLE STAR - 꼬마별 - HYUNJIN
ICE CREAM - HYUNJIN
STREET LIGHT - CHANGBIN feat. CHAN
CLOSE - HAN
HAPPY - HAN
WISH YOU BACK - HAN
조각 (SCULPTURE) - CHANGBIN, SEUNGMIN
좋으니까 (BECAUSE I LOVE YOU) - CHANGBIN, FELIX
외계인 (ALIEN) - HAN
찬스 (CHANCE) - FELIX, CHAN
한 번 더 리플레이 (ICE AMERICANO) - LEE KNOW, HAN
빵꿀즈 (YEAH BOSS) - I.N, CHANGBIN
0티격태격 (TEASING) - HYUNKIN, SEUNGMIN "잔소리 대마왕 (KING OF NAGGING)"
인정하기 싫어 (I HATE TO ADMIT IT) - CHAN
CYPHER - CHANGBIN
I GOT IT - HAN
not to mention 3RACHA, a sub-unit constituted by CHAN, CHANGBIN AND HAN, (who go by different names: CB97, SPEARB, J.ONE) also have their own tracks on separate releases, one of them named ZONE. i'll just leave the link for their official channel because everything is there and neatly organized. click here to see 3RACHA's stuff.
there are also OST (original soundtracks) that weren't released as singles or single albums, like TOP, so these are the ones i found:
POP UP BOY!: HELLO STRANGER (STRAY KIDS)
LOVE IN CONTRACT: CLOSE TO YOU (SEUNGMIN)
EXTRAORDINARY YOU: NEVER ENDING STORY (also translated as "story that won't end") (STRAY KIDS)
HOMETOWN CHA-CHA-CHA: HERE ALWAYS (SEUNGMIN)
TOWER OF GOD: TOP (STRAY KIDS)
TOWER OF GOD: SLUMP (STRAY KIDS)
these are collabs i know exist:
GOING DUMB - ALESSO X STRAY KIDS X CORSAK
JUST BREATHE - SKY-HI feat. 3RACHA (CHAN, CHANGBIN, HAN)
MIRROR MIRROR - F.HERO x MILLI feat. CHANGBIN
NO PROBLEM - NAYEON (TWICE) feat. FELIX
COVERS:
they have covered tons of songs, from voice to choreos, whether on studios or live, and it's a little impossible to compile all of them, but i'll be completing this list as i come across them:
(most of the covers in this list came from a video i found, by user Cray K, and it's from january, 2019, so they are featured on the same video):
AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST - (originally by BLACKPINK)
GO CRAZY + HANDS UP - (originally by 2PM)
NEW FACE - (originally by PSY)
WARRIOR'S DESCENDANT - (originally by H.O.T)
IT'S RAINING - (originally by RAIN)
DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY - (originally by TWICE)
WHO'S YOUR MAMA -(originally by JYP)
GOODBYE BABY - (originally by MISS A)
LOOK - (originally by GOT7)
DNA - (originally by BTS)

BANG, BANG, BANG - (originally by BIG BANG)
FANCY - (originally by TWICE)
MY HOUSE - (originally by 2PM)
ADORE U - (originally by SEVENTEEN)
LIKE OOH AHH - (originally by TWICE)
AGAIN & AGAIN - (originally by 2PM)
HISTORY OF K-POP: Stray Kids X NCT DREAM (featuring felix' iconic "BOOM SHAKA LAKA, WOW FANTASTIC" that you see everywhere)
INDIVIDUAL/TWO PEOPLE COVERS: it also includes other people that were featuring the songs. these might get confusing because most titles are in korean, but i did my best to find the original artists' names romanized and the songs' titles:
위로 ("consolation) |artist: 권진아 = KWON JIN-AH |cover by I.N
GHOST |artist: Justin Bieber| cover by SEUNGMIN
ZOMBIE |artist: DAY6 - cover by HAN, SEUNGMIN

"TOMORROW" |artist: ? |covered by CHANGBIN (on masked singer)
CITY OF STARS |artist: ? |covered by FELIX, LIA (ITZY), CHAN
there's a bunch of other covers made in variety shows besides live performances, so i'm just gonna leave this link for you to see everything is compiled.

Friendly reminder that English is not my first language. You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here.
Tumblr media
Chongyun
✧ This boy plays all (absolutely all) paranormal games. He is also no stranger to horror as the two genres often go hand in hand. For this reason he got a lot of viewers, as he sticks to the trends.
✧ He started recording thanks to you and his friend Xingqiu. He believes that this is how he can easier meet someone who spoke to ghosts before which has been his dream for a long time. He had a few reports so far but though he had thoroughly investigated them, they turned out to be false. His dream is to see at least one ghost in his life.
✧ Chongyun likes conspiracy theories. He has a couple of videos commenting on them. He believes in a lot of strange things.
✧ Fans loved him mainly for his personality. He is very open towards them and does not criticize. For this reason there were some haters very early in his career saying that he was actually faking kidness because no one can be so nice all the time. Chongyun said he didn't mind but you decided to intervene because it shouldn't be like that.
✧ One of his special signs is ice cream. He overheats very quickly and always keeps spare tube in the freezer. He ate them in front of viewers to such an extent that a brand of frozen sweets offered him cooperation. He agreed and now you can see his entire line in stores. In return, he got a huge supply, so he's happy.
Tumblr media
Yun Jin
✧ She started her career working in the opera. Thanks to this and education devoted to singing, she dedicated herself to this field for the rest of her life.
✧ Once she started working regularly, she realized how little people know about the behind-the-scenes work in a place like this. So she started with a few videos with trivia about the opera. She was very keen on spreading culture and older traditions in a modern version. Then she moved on to covers of all sorts of songs and it stayed that way for a long time. Her timbre of voice is perfect for calmer titles but she has been persuaded several times to collaborate with Xinyan and her rock tracks.
✧ Viewers are surprised by her relationship with her father. They find it cute how he passed on his passion to her. She recorded a video with him and her mother, where they talked about her beginnings in her career and also the dance abilities, which was rarely shared.
✧ Yun Jin does not stream. Her involvement with viewers is manifested in responding to comments. She does it in her free time, which she doesn't have that much. However, many times it happened that fans of her online work came to the performances. It was often their first time at the opera, which she confided to you that she enjoyed the most.
✧ She's getting ready to put on a big opera now. For the first time as a person coordinating the whole thing. You help her gain inspiration. She can be very tired but every day she asks you to tell her exactly all the interesting things that have happened to you. She's hoping she'll get the epiphany. Her dream is to create the greatest play the country has ever seen.
Tumblr media
Yanfei
✧ Lady lawyer whose channel is very small. Mainly because Yanfei rarely plays and quite niche titles at that. For this reason, she does not invest in equipment and has problems with it. Yanfe is a streamer because she values real-time interactions with viewers.
✧ A little more publicity brought her series called Ace Attorney. The adventures of the main character, who performs the same profession as her, meant that she could perfectly relate to the events on the screen. She explained in an accessible way what are the differences between the game and how the law works in reality.
✧ When someone leaves donations for a new piece of equipment, she sets it so they can choose a certain law and she recites it from memory. She has never been wrong. You wanted to buy Yanfei a better camera for her birthday but she said no. She wants to buy things for her hobby on her own.
✧ Yanfei considers it unethical to handle the affairs of her viewers. If someone introduces himself like this to her law firm, she will transfer the case to someone else. However, if these are general questions that appear on streams, she will answer them right away and quite extensively.
✧ Her Grandma - Ping sometimes comes into view. She usually brings tea or cookies. She waves to viewers but has not agreed to appear in public outside of these occasional meetings. You also stay away from your darling's youtuber work.

Todays rip: 19/01/2024
Fragile Snowman (Remastered)
Season 3 Featured on: Inspector Gunner 2 With Critic
Ripped by MtH, IAmMelloYello, Chaze the Chat
youtube
Following up directly on yesterday's post, one of the most notable events that happened during Season 3, one that was covered with a lot of love by the SiIvaGunner team in MAGFest 2019: SiIvaGunner Presents - High Quality Ripping, was the Nostalgia Critic takeover. Somehow, despite running the blog for half a year's time at this point, I still haven't ever gotten to touch on this event, despite being one of the more fondly remembered parts of the Season. And, well, there IS kind of a reason for that?
See, what initially started as an event celebrating old YouTube reviewers in general (hence Inspector Gadget's presence during it and in the album), transitioned into a purely-Nostalgia Critic event - but rather than celebrating Doug Walker's legacy in particular, the takeover took a different approach. Playing on Walker's gimmick as a reviewer in particular, the event was focused specifically on being a "nostalgia"-event - in other words, aiming to specifically bring us in the audience back to the days of Season 1 through every rip uploaded. This theme wasn't quite as...immediately apparent as many other takeovers, be it with rips like Totally Shaaking Out Right Now in the Harlem Shakeover, or Fell From a High Place (Reprise) during the Minecraft music event. Because while those events pretty radically changed to a core theme, this nostalgia-themed event instead saw the channel return to a status quo it once had - reuploads of several prior-lost Season 1 rips, new rips that were intentionally simplistic and often off-key, and an overall focus on the kinds of jokes that were all the rage in Season 1.
It was a genuinely really fun time, yet it was simultaneously hard to think of a fitting rip to represent it all with - in my eyes, it's one of those events that only truly worked in the moment, surrounded by all these rips that formed a cohesive whole. But Fragile Snowman (Remastered) is as close as it gets, I think - a loving remake of a true classic of Season 1. I've talked before of just how much I love it when rips of all sorts get dug back up for another shot at live with Violet Snow Memories from earlier this year, and this event was really the first time that we ever got a concentrated dose of that feeling throughout an entire takeover - and despite the rip of today's post only being two years old at that point, the nostalgia for it had already set in for me.
As described by Chaze the Chat in the aforementioned MAGFest panel, a big part of the fun with Season 1 was its sense of...spontaneousness, that you never really knew what to expect due to there simply not being much of any expectations set up by prior channel history in the first place. And as a result, we got a lot of rips much like the original Fragile Snowman - a mashup between Snowman as featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Fragile by Tech N9ne. There's a lot of rips like this even today, mashing up more chill video game music with hip-hop music that doesn't necessarily have much memetic quality, and while a lot of them can slip through the cracks of the SiIvaGunner audience, Fragile Snowman really did stick - enough to warrant two remasters made of it, with Fragile Snowman (Remastered) being the final stop the rip's made thus far.
There's so many small things fixed and tweaked in this final remastered version, yet it still sounds exactly as you'd imagine a mashup between the two songs to sound - which is, really, the best tell for it being an excellent remaster. The Nostalgia Critic takeover, while less bombastic and loud than many other events, was one that most every SiIvaGunner fan loved specifically because it focused on something we were ALL fans of - SiIvaGunner itself - and reminded us of just how far we'd come in just two short years. All these years later, there was indeed another event somewhat similar to this Nostalgia Critic takeover that happened just recently in Season 7, but...that's a story for another time.

So you wanna get into NCT, eh?
Part 3 - NCT 127 - More MVs and Social Media Links
Oh hey I'm finally back. It's been more than a day but life happens and it's only been like two days... or so? (it's been three) but let's get back into this!
So last time we covered a little bit about the members of the group and then I linked some MVs. I realised something I could have done there was link some social media accounts so let's do that!
There are general accounts for NCT on most of the big social media services such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. There are also accounts for all of the subgroups, so NCT 127 does have their own accounts on all of those as well. I feel like the Youtube content deserves its own post so I'll get to that but 127 does have a Youtube channel as well.
The individual members share things like the Twitter and Instagram accounts on and off, taking turns sometimes to post on there, tho most posts are from the company. Facebook gets posts from the company and not from individuals very often. The boys do all have their own Instagram accounts tho, and they also all use Bubble to varying degrees, which is an app which a lot of kpop groups use where fans can pay to access special posts from idols that include text posts, pictures, voice recordings, etc. I have never been a Bubble user, but I follow everyone on Instagram so here's all of those:
Taeil | Taeyong | Johnny | Yuta | Doyoung | Jaehyun | Winwin | Jungwoo | Mark | Haechan
You can use those to become more familiar with the members and see some of the nonsense they get up to. Some of them post often and some post almost never so your mileage may vary with them as a tool, but I'm a sucker for personal social media accounts so I'm clearly following those all.
It's also worth throwing out there since I skipped talking about positions last time that Taeyong is the leader of both NCT 127 and also of NCT in general. He's also a main rapper, main dancer, visual, center, helps write and produce music and has since The 7th Sense was released, etc etc, you name it, he's probably done the thing. He's ridiculously talented, basically. (They all are.) I could list everyone's positions but there's tons of wiki pages and etc with those kinds of lists and I find them to be less helpful when you have a group like NCT where everyone kinda does everything a lot of the time and has multiple talents and jobs since the rappers might be singing or the vocalists might be rapping depending on the song and literally everyone is a visual etc. But that's part of why you might be noticing that Taeyong is front and center like... a lot. Very often. He's recognisable and has a distinctive voice and being the leader is a good extra excuse to focus on him.
Anyway, let's get back to the music! I somehow managed to come up with ten more videos to link to hit the max per post so you're getting another full variety tasting of 127's style and range with a special treat at the end.
youtube
Favorite (Oct 25, 2021) was the lead single from the repackage of Sticker and was not quite as divisive as Sticker but still a bit weird. Released right before Halloween, there's a whole vampire concept going on (GREAT) and the MV and live stage performances all have a weird electronic dance break 2 1/2 minutes in (BAD) that I am PLEASED TO TELL YOU is not part of the song on the actual album. The first time I watched the MV it threw me for such a hard loop that I almost hated disliked the song but when I listened to the album later on spotify I was like "wait it's gone!!!! it was all just a bad dream!!!" and I try to forget it until I do something like watch the MV to make a post like this.
youtube
We're gonna mix in some of 127's Japanese releases today starting with their first one, Chain (May 8, 2018) off their first Japanese mini album. Despite NCT's initial plan to have groups based in different countries and markets, they are still now in early 2024 only ABOUT to have their first Japan-centric subunit debut, which means that they've just been having 127 (and Dream) release some stuff in Japanese in the meantime. It helps that they have a Japanese member. Anyway Chain is just a great song so here it is.
youtube
gimme gimme (Feb 15, 2021) suffers a little from the eternal problem of kpop songs even in primarily Japanese having some.... wild? English lyrics (spicy disease? dead clowns? who wrote these lyrics? why did their native English speakers go along with this?) but despite the nonsense it's a catchy, mesmerizing earworm of a song with a tight MV with a lot of neat cuts and transitions and I have watched it VERY MANY times. I love it. Spicy disease and all.
youtube
In the first main NCT intro post I included WayV's version of Regular (October 8, 2018) and linked both this and the Korean version. I was going to include the Korean version and just link the English here since the Korean one is the one that I personally listen to the most, but then I noticed that the English version has like 66 million more views so I decided to reverse that and you get the English one. Anyway. All versions of Regular are great and the English version has some great weird lyrics too ("I be walking with the cheese that's the queso" is like... ultimate. Incredible. A+. How did Jaehyun record that without laughing? Legendary.). It's also, with Simon Says, one of the only MVs that has all ten members of NCT 127. It also has a CGI tiger, shiny cars, rockets going off, Winwin jumping off a building, there's just a lot going on.
youtube
Sliding back to Japan for a minute, I feel like I should include Wakey Wakey (March 18, 2019). I almost forget this song exists sometimes and I think it's because I just want to block out having seen the absolutely terrible wig they put on Johnny for this MV. Seriously why? The song itself is solidly in the weird but also very catchy lane that 127 does so well but I just keep thinking about the wig. Johnny had some long extensions for NCT 2020 that looked great on him, but this wig was just not it. My eyes are drawn to it every time he's on screen. I need to put this into my regular listening-only playlists and let my brain block that wig out the way I forget the dance break in Favorite exists.
youtube
127 started 2023 off with Ay-Yo (Jan 30, 2023) which was the (somewhat delayed) repackage of 2 Baddies, which we'll get to in a moment. I wasn't sure what to think of Ay-Yo at first but it has definitely grown on me despite having veered back into some questionable hair territory mainly for Taeyong (and I say that as a grown up late 90s punk kid who thought giant hair spikes were cool). The MV has some absolutely wild visuals mixed in, and the song is definitely outside of the realm of standard kpop releases even if it's not as weird as some others like Sticker. It's solid.
youtube
Okay so. Like. I honestly didn't really pay enough attention to the general reactions to 2 Baddies (Sep 15, 2022) to tell you how divisive this song was to most people, but it split one of my group chats VERY strongly and one of my friends has refused to listen to any 127 releases since then because she hates this song so much. I tried to get her with Fact Check at the very least and she's so anti this song that she still refused and I may have lost her on 127 altogether 🤣 It's mainly the chorus that she dislikes, and I'm a little back and forth on it myself sometimes honestly but also I have absolutely BLASTED this song while driving down the highway so it feels kinda like a guilty pleasure song sometimes. If you ignore the chorus the other parts of the song are so goooooooood and no one can deny that the last part of the bridge slaps. Plus there's a whole lot of shirtless Johnny and Yuta which you can never go wrong with.
youtube
Touch (Mar 13, 2018) is a little off from the style of kpop that I listen to regularly since it's a bit more in the bubbly poppy side of things that I don't always go for but the vibes are immaculate and everyone looks so happy in the MV and there's fuzzy sweaters and everyone smiles so much? It's hard to not love it. It's fluff and cheery and delightful.
youtube
I don't know if SM actually started the "track video" trend (short MVs that have an edited, cut down version of a song so they cost less to produce than a full MV- Lemonade is 3:10 on the Sticker/Favorite album, but this track video is 2:01 for instance) but they love doing them with NCT, and despite Lemonade (Sep 9, 2021) definitely deserving a full MV, since it wasn't the lead single it didn't get one but it did at least get a track video and was performed a lot on the music shows when they were promoting Sticker. It's catchy and has some clever work in the full version lyrics that involve titles of other NCT 127 songs and I've listened to it as much as or possibly more than Sticker.
youtube
I've covered all of the lead singles and there ARE some other track videos or special release songs like the recent Be There For Me that I could be using the last slot for but you know what? We're gonna go fully off the expected path and include Let's Shut Up & Dance (Feb 21, 2019) instead because it's wild and fun. 127 doesn't do much besides sing part of the chorus and do a bunch of dancing in this (on the ceiling? on the walls? in an alley?) but like. Lay is here too and the song is SO fun and an absolute bop so that's what we're closing this post out with.
So that wraps the NCT 127 music videos! I'm thinking the next post and the last of the 127 centric ones will be a guide to some of their Youtube content, since there's a whole lot, and that'll kinda set up expectations for the posts about Dream and WayV as well when we get to them. I think after I get through the main posts of MVs and content for all of the sub-units that I might do some special posts of performance videos for songs that don't have MVs just to get some of those out there, or I might just post a bunch of links to them. We'll see how I'm feeling and if my audience of like two or three people has any kind of preference (that's you, hey, yeah you, lemme know what you want from me).
This post is the third in a series of posts introducing new fans to NCT in a way that makes sense, by getting familiar with one subgroup at a time before moving on to the next. Linked down at the bottom is the intro post, and the rest will be linked as they're added.
Dedicated as ever to @catatonicrainbow and @poetry-protest-pornography 💖

Sharing my city pop playlist so you can find more city pop songs beside Plastic Love and Stay with me ✨✨
You have listened to Plastic Love and Stay with me once right? And you think you like these songs and want to know other songs that share the same genre? This small list might be for you :D I actually don't listen to a lot of city pop songs, it's more like I listen to different songs from one artist. So any recommendations are welcome 💖
First one it's KU-RU-KU-RU Cruller from Aqours! It is quite rare for a Love Live! song to follow this genre right? This song is really catchy, with encouraging lyrics and really cute choreography. This is also the song which made me realize I have already been in love with city pop. The song is one of my recommendations if you are new to Aqours and want to listen to something fun!
Tumblr media
The second song is a cover of Kimitachi Kiwi, Papaya, Mango da ne (Nakahara Meiko) from Furihata Ai - one of my favourite Aqour seiyuus (I love all of them haha). Both the original version and Furi's cover are so good that I had to listen to them on loop for a while. Imma leave the Eng translation of the song I've found for those who are interested in the lyrics!
ENG Translation
Tumblr media
Another song from Furi is her original song - Purple Eyeshadow. I was wondering which song to choose, but Purple Eyeshadow is more catchy to me, so I decided to put it here. You can check more of Furi's song on her Youtube channel! About the lyrics of the song...I'll leave you searching for yourselves then ;)
Tumblr media
Next is a pretty old song from 1984, AIRPORT LADY, sung by Kadomatsu Toshiki. People said that they liked the retake version of the song in 1993 but I find the original version more appealing to me :D
Time to go back to the year of 1983, when Magical Angel Creamy Mami was still on air! And the OP and the ED of the anime, Delicate ni Suki shite and Love Sagerinaku are the songs I want to introduce to you guys today :D While Delicate ni Suki shite sounds so dreamy, Love Sagerinaku has more sexiness in it, but I am more biased toward Delicate ni Suki shite because it was the song I remembered most when I was 5 years old, and the chorus of the song just hits me real hard :') That's right, a girl's heart Can float a moon-shaped little board in the starry sky It can even, search for her own dreams too And when she falls in love, she delicately Falls in love, falls in love, fall in love.
Also check out the anime too if you can, it's awesome <3
Tumblr media
City pop originates from Japan, you guys all know that, right? But what if we have city pop sung in Korean? :D Now let me introduce you to a gem in K-Pop music (in my heart, of course) whose name is YUKIKA ! She is a Japanese, who went to Korea and started her singing career there. It seems that one of her songs, SOUL LADY had become a big hit and inspired some K-Pop artists to try out city pop too! I personally like SOUL LADY the most in every song she has released. The choreography, the catchy beat, the lyrics, the MV, everything is literally perfect 💖 The song tells a story of a girl, who was so overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of Seoul, has become so confident walking on her own road, as if she is truly the "Seoul lady".
To end this, I will write down here the part which I find so meaningful in SOUL LADY chorus:
I am now a SOUL LADY (Seoul Lady) Giving off that feeling I guess you can tell, I've been studying hard. It blends into my smile It'll be addicting Even the way I talk sounds natural now Such a SOUL LADY (Seoul Lady) Giving off that vibe I guess you can see, I've been studying hard. Confident and mesmerizing This Seoul lady that I am Is so pretty

OKAY SO I THOUGHT ABT THIS,IK YOU HAVE A LOT OF REQ BUT YOU CAN JUST READ THIS FOR UR ENJOYMENT HSHS
what if the reader is a really talented Guitarist who doesn't have much confidence in theur skills, but they have a channel where they go by the alias of guitar girl (u can change it if u like!) where they have far more confidence, maybe that's how they semi know 25 Nightcord? Or at least Kanade, maybe Kanade reached out to reader but they declined Kanade offer due to them not wanting to step out of their comfort zone especially since they don't really like working with others.
AND LIKE HERE'S THE AKITO PART
Akito and reader were childhood friends, maybe how they met was when Reader was practicing her guitar skills and like Akito soccer ball almost hit reader LMAO then they became friends after that.
Akito knows that reader has potential to hit big if they try and perform on the streets, but the reader refuses and like they sort of had an argument after that. Akito lashes out (smth like how Tsukasa yelled at nene during the wxs story) , and reader kind of felt discouraged playing the guitar ykyk. Reader then would ignore Akito in the hall ways perhaps distancing themselves from him forever!?!?
YOU CAN DEF CHANGE SOMETIMES AND COME UP W A ENDING THIS WAS JUST A LITTLE BRAINROT OF MINE!!
OKOK SO I LOVE THIS SM OMGS !!! im gonna try to write some personal thoughts that I have, this is gonna be kanade and akito based except I wanna. explore the difference in dynamic yk?? this might lean more towards my preferences, I left a little bonus at the end weheh <3 i hope you like this!! <3
♡ UNCONFIDENT GUITARIST - Kanade Yoisaki and Akito Shinonome x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kanade:
You had always loved playing guitar, it was one of the many hobbies over the years that you stuck with
However, you did not have that much confidence with it. You always felt like you needed to be better
The one place where you felt free to express yourself is your YouTube channel. You published your guitar covers/songs under your alias, and allowed yourself to simply melt in the music
When you did a cover of a song by Niigo, that was when Kanade found you
She was incredibly impressed by you, after all, it takes a lot of talent to play a guitar and pick everything up by ear
She reaches out to you, asking if you would like to join Niigo. You decline due to your lack of confidence and general dislike of working with others anyway
Still, the two of you keep in touch, and you're one of the first people who gets to hear the tracks she's composing before they're published
She hopes to inspire confidence in you by showing you how she just lets herself go with her music. She doesn't push, and finds you're a wonderful person to be around anyway!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Akito:
You had always loved playing guitar, it was something you picked up when you were a kid and stuck with as you grew older
Playing guitar led to you meeting Akito, a slightly aggressive boy but someone who was kind enough to you after hitting you with his soccer ball-
Besides RAD WEEKEND, you're one of the first people who's inspired him to pursue music! Your love for guitar made him look into things he could pursue in music, and he chooses singing
The two of you grew older, and as you did, your passions for music grew. However, Akito took his passion to performing and the streets, while you kept your passion in private
This frustrates him to no end. You were so talented, yet you constantly insisted against performing. He's tried to convince you multiple times, yet you refuse
Eventually, he snaps at you. It comes off a lot more aggressive than he intends, but his passion has always driven him
Unfortunately for him, his anger discourages you, and you start dodging him in the halls. The two of you are left with thoughts of, "I'm sorry." and "I wish things were different."

Bonus <3
Let's say you're taking Kanade out to town. She usually doesn't leave her house for much, but you wanted her opinion on something for your guitar
While the two of you are in the music shop, Akito walks in, looking for a new microphone to use in shows
He spots you and Kanade, and he's slightly surprised that you're in the guitar section. So, you were still pursuing guitar after all, huh?
His smile quickly drops when you spot him and immediately turn away, taking Kanade to another part of the store
He sighs, grabbing what he needs before checking out as quickly as he can. He's always wanted to fix things between you both, but he always thought you made it clear that could never be.
Kanade senses your tension, and asks you about it. You simply shrug it off, waiting for Akito to leave the store before buying what you needed.
She didn't know what was wrong, or what you were dealing with, but she hoped that things would go well. You deserved all the happiness, after all.

Um so... a couple months ago I got tagged by @grapecaseschoices to make ocs in this picrew and I meant to and then... Forgor <3 So here they are now!!
It's my Infamous babies and uhh here's some fun facts under the cut!
Tae-yeon:
She's 5'11"!! Because I wanted to dwarf Orion but that man is too tall :CCC
She's translated a few of the band's songs into Korean and she posts the covers on the official youtube channel!
She's big on TikTok (tragic) for dancing but like. She's actually good at it lmao
Rosé:
She's got rose tattoos on her shoulders, three stars on her left hip, and a heart on her chest, in addition to the Seven tattoo (which she doesn't cover up)!
Loves Postmodern Jukebox and posts her own old-timey covers of the band's songs occasionally!!
Knows ASL!
Fatima:
She's a lil pianist!!!
Always sings happy birthday if someone has a birthday sign at a concert lol
Her dream is to settle down and have a little house with a BIG garden with lots of flowers 🥺
Calliope:
Shortest of the bunch at 5'3"
He plays guitar (also really wants to play a lute during a concert at some point)
Ever since they've been able to choose what to dress as for Halloween, they've been a Greek mythological figure. There have been a few exceptions when Seven or the band requested matching outfits!!
Ari:
Despite looking relatively identifiable, they very rarely get recognized on the street. The only difference is the glasses, but Ari has a tendency to blend in the background!
Got their nose scar because they ate concrete while skateboarding lmao
Would DIE if they ever got to meet Hozier!!!!
Max:
Won't talk to you for a week if you call him Maximilian. You can use this to your advantage.
Most tatted up the gang but idk all of them. But he does have parental advisory under his right boob, a tramp stamp (idk of what lol), and a skull on his right thigh, plus a skull over Seven's tattoo.
Another guitarist, but he learned because he thinks it makes him hotter lmao

Interview on TV Life 08.12.2023
SID's 20th anniversary year is coming to an end... Anime tribute album by splendid voice actors is "an album like a treasure for us as well" [Interview].
Tumblr media
In 2023, rock band SID will hold its 20th anniversary concert "SID 20th Anniversary GRAND FINAL Ichiban Sukina Basho" at Nippon Budokan to mark the culmination of its 20th anniversary year on Wednesday, December 27.
Before the event, SID would release its first tribute album "SID Tribute Album -Anime Songs-" and a digital single "Soyokaze" on December 6 (Wed.). The tribute album is a new type of album in which the voice actors who appeared in the works cover the anime tie-up songs that SID has worked on. Meanwhile “Soyokaze (Breeze)”, their first new song in about a year and nine months, is a medium number composed by Aki (Ba.) and written by Mao (Vo.). The song is about looking back at the path they have taken with their fans up to now, and walking forward into the future.
As the band will soon be concluding its 20th anniversary year, we wondered why they decided to release this tribute album and what they had in mind for the single. We also asked them to talk about their bond with the members, their feelings looking back on their past activities, and their outlook for the future.
The tribute album has been a big hit with anime fans since the release of the information. First of all, please tell us how you came to release this album.
Mao: It all started when we talked about how we wanted to make a piece to commemorate our 20th anniversary. As we were thinking about releasing digital singles and various other ideas, we came up with the idea of a tribute album. As we talked about it, we thought it would be interesting to have the voice actors who appeared in the anime sing the theme songs. It was a dream come true that we never thought would come true at first, but it did, and we were able to release it.
How did you feel when you heard that this dream-like album was going to be a reality?
Mao: I believe that SID's current form is the result of working with various anime, so I was genuinely happy to be able to work together again with everyone I have met along the way. Each of us has our own favorite anime, and we feel the power of anime every day, so it was a great feeling to hear the voice actors singing the opening and ending songs that we have worked on.
Many of the songs in this album were composed by you, Aki. What was your impression when you listened to the finished album?
Aki: I thought that the album was finished in such a way that you can not only enjoy the wonderful voices of the voice actors, but also replay the voices and images of the characters in the anime. We are very grateful to them for making this wonderful album, which is like a treasure for us as well.
What is your favorite song from this album?
Mao: Monochrome no Kiss. I'm really into it and I'm so in love with the quality of the song. The lyrics of this song were written with the image of Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) in mind, so I was really happy to hear Daisuke Ono, who voices Sebastian (Michaelis), sing it, and his voice is really beautiful.
Aki: Anniversary. We have performed this song on various occasions, but I think Haruka Tomatsu brought this song back to life in a different way, with a different voice and nuance than SID's "Anniversary". I really like it, and it's a great listen.
Shinji: I would say Uso. Ms. Park sang it with a beautiful voice, different from Ed's, which was unexpected in a good way. Also, a guitarist named Kojun played the guitar for this song. He is an extremely skilled guitarist, and I often watch his YouTube channel. I have been watching Kojun’s YouTube channel for a long time. He happened to play the guitar this time, and I think it is one of the most powerful songs with Ms. Park's singing voice.
Yuuya: All the songs are very nice, but I think I would choose Ranbu no Melody. It is sung in a slightly lower key than the original song, but the band played it in a lower key, making it a profound song that is different from the original. I felt that the way Masakazu Morita sings goes very well with this song.
Next, I would like to ask you about “Soyokaze” (Breeze), which was released on the same day. What is the meaning behind the title of the song?
Mao: “Breeze” is a title that I came up with when thinking of our fans. 20 years of working together, when I looked back, I wondered about what they meant to me, what they meant to the band. It is like a gentle breeze that always gently and softly watches over us. I have written lyrics for songs that capture only a part of the past 20 years, but “Breeze” depicts the past 20 years of SID. I thought I could only write such lyrics for such a memorable year, so I put everything into the lyrics.
Aki, how did you write the song?
Aki: I wrote the song with a simple yet strong melody that people can remember at once. I was told that the lyrics would have such a nuance when I was writing the song, so I was trying to develop my own image as I wrote it. I was moved just by the first line of the lyrics. I thought the song was amazing just from that one line (laughs).
What do you want people to pay attention to about Shinji's guitar and Yuuya's drums?
Shinji: The guitar is quite structured and moves around throughout the song, and I felt while recording that it would be fun to play it live, so I can't wait to play it. Also, as Aki just said, Mao wrote the lyrics straight-forwardly, and I was like "thank you" from the first line (laughs).
Yuuya: The sound of the drums and phrases are basically pop, but I put rock elements in some places. I tried not to make it too rounded.
The first line of the lyrics, which Aki and Shinji have praised so highly, is the phrase "A Hiace that holds nothing but dreams..." This reminds you of the time when you were driving your own Hiace around the country...?
Mao: Yes. We really packed it back then (laughs). We had just enough room for all the people we wanted, and the equipment was cramped and my body ached... I remember that now as I listen to the two of them talking (laughs). But even though it was hard at the time, we can laugh about it now, and I think that is a blessing.
Yes, it's almost time for the Budokan concert to close the 20th anniversary year, starting with the fan club only live in January, followed by the tour with the album "Umibe", fan meetings and many other activities. What kind of year was this anniversary year for you?
Mao: First of all, I felt that we were able to celebrate the 20th anniversary in a way that is typical for SID. SID originally started as a live band, and we have made many memories through our live performances at each milestone, so this year we wanted to perform in front of everyone as much as possible. We started with live concerts at halls, followed by live house tours, fan meetings, and finally at the Budokan, and I think it was the right decision because we were able to make memories with everyone in various ways, and I'm glad that we were able to do so many things because the fans seem to be happy.
Shinji: We were able to perform live, but the audience couldn't speak or raise their hands, and seeing these restrictions made me realize once again that this was not the norm. After 20 years of working in this field, my gratitude to my fans has grown stronger every year, but the corona pandemic made me realize how important it is. When I was younger, I used to think to myself, "I can do live shows no matter what the environment is like," and I would do it out of self-indulgence, but this past year has made me realize that I can work twice as hard with the support of my fans.
Aki: The big thing was that we were able to do a lot of live performances. I had hoped that we could respond to the fans' wishes with our live performances. We only have Budokan left, but I would like to share our feelings with everyone until the end and do my best to close out the 20th anniversary year.
Yuuya: A lot has happened since our 15th anniversary, but I feel that our 20th anniversary was a tailwind for us as the world gradually recovered, the environment for live performances began to improve again, and the audience became able to express themselves. Last year, each of us recharged our batteries and were in perfect condition to perform the "Umibe" tour, which was postponed at the time, so looking at it positively, I think the timing was good. Now I feel that those three years were not all bad.
You have been singing to many fans over the past year, but what did you feel again as a vocalist of SID?
Mao: I think there are two types of vocalists: those who pursue their own unique songs as their career progresses, and those who become more and more greedy, saying, "If I could sing like this more," and in my case, it is exactly the latter. In my case, I am the latter type. Even after I finally get something and think, "This is it," I still want more and more things, and I want this and that. In that sense, I am not satisfied yet, and I think I will continue to enjoy vocal performances in the future. 20 years later, the fact that I am still seeking it makes me feel that I made the right choice in choosing the vocal part.
Shinji, you often say: “Now is the most fun”, but what is the driving force that keeps you motivated even after 20 years?
Shinji: It's simple because I love playing the guitar. Guitar practice can be quite tedious, but even the practice has been a lot of fun lately. For example, I think professional athletes practice every day, and I want to be like them as an artist. And I can't lie that I've practiced the guitar. So I am looking forward to the live performance more and I can't wait for the day of Budokan.
What live performances and events have left a particularly strong impression on Aki and Yuya over the past year?
Aki: The "Umibe" tour. We were not able to do it at the time when we were supposed to do it, so the expressions on the audience's faces when the curtain opened, and the cheering we heard after a long time left a deep impression on me.
Yuuya: It really was a year full of smiles and cheers from the audience through our live performances. Even though I was wearing a mask, I felt like I could feel everyone's voice from their hearts beyond the mask. In that sense, the tour and fan meetings for "Umibe" where I got to hear real voices are especially memorable.
You have been working together for more than 20 years. What are the moments when you feel the bond among the members?
Mao: We recently started a radio show on Sid ("SID×RADIO=" on Bunka Hoso), and actually it has been a long time since the four of us did a radio show together. It is our job, but when we go off on a tangent, it reminds me of the old days and I think to myself, "We haven't changed at all" (laughs). I feel safe when the members are all together, and the radio has helped me remember many things, so I am happy to start again.
Shinji: We have been together for 20 years, so we are like a family now. As Mao mentioned, when the four of us get together to talk on the radio, at live performances, or at events, I can see the unchanged parts of everyone who has grown up and feel at ease. When all the members are together, it feels like coming home and saying, "I'm home!"
Aki: I agree. We've been together for 20 years now, and we still have no trouble talking when we're at work or when the four of us go out for dinner. The atmosphere and time flow when the four of us are together is very comfortable, and I think it's been a great 20 years, and lately I've been feeling a renewed sense of bond.
Yuuya: I don't get to see everyone as often as I would like these days, but even though we have been together for 20 years, I still feel a bit shy when we meet (laughs). But even if I don't have anything funny to say, I can't help but smile when I'm with everyone. I really feel a sense of security when all the members are together, and every time we meet, I realize that there is no other place like it.
How excited are you about the Budokan performance?
Mao: This is the culmination of our 20th anniversary year, so I want to make “The best of SID” out of it. On a personal level, I have always stood on stage with the mindset of scoring 100 points at every live performance, but recently I have become unclear whether that score is really 100 points for me or 100 points for the audience. In the past, I was obsessed with my own 100 points, but at Budokan, I want to give it my all, aiming for 100 points for the fans, the staff, and the members as well. Even if it is less than 100 points for me, if I give it my all, it will end up being 100 points, so I want to stand at Budokan in a natural way with that in mind.
Finally, what are your thoughts for the future?
Mao: We are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we have had a fulfilling year, celebrated by all of our fans. I think that more important than the number of years is how much time we have spent with the members, staff, and everyone else. I would like to continue to work together with everyone while being even more conscious of these things over the next 10 to 20 years, and I would like to do my best while paying more attention than ever to health management, not to mention improving my individual skills.
Aki: I would like to express my gratitude to all the fans, and I would like to give a live performance filled with hope and energy so that we can show the future of SID. I want to make everyone at Budokan proud to be a SID fan, so I hope you will come to the concert.
Shinji: I hope that at Budokan, I will be able to show what I have not been able to do before as a guitarist, and perform in a way that everyone will feel that "Shinji has changed" and that I have grown. However, I am not in a hurry to do so, and I would like to continue to work hard and hone my skills. I also want to become more interesting in the future (laughs).
Yuuya: I am a little surprised now to know that Shinji-kun is trying to become more interesting (laughs). Putting that aside, in terms of the flow from the 21st year, I sometimes wonder if it is important to find a balance between a sense of excitement and a sense of security. Since we are still an active band, I think we should keep running while letting our fans enjoy that kind of balance. I would like to continue to do what I have to do, including creating an environment and taking good care of my health, so that we can continue to perform well in the future.

ACT II: COWBOY CARTER by Beyoncé
Yee-bloody-haw!
It’s a Country & Western inspired New Music roundup this week, so it only makes sense to begin with one of the biggest album releases of the year thus far – COWBOY CARTER by Beyoncé.
I’ll be the first to admit that when ACT I: RENAISSANCE was cleaning up with the year-end awards amongst most music critics in 2022, I wasn’t as impressed. Whilst it was a fun project and certainly had its moments, I personally thought it failed to live up to its predecessor, B’s confessional masterpiece Lemonade. I also thought there were much better records released in 2022, to the point that RENAISSANCE didn’t even make my own Top 50. However, when I heard Queen B was following up her House and Dance-inspired record with a Country album, I was instantly intrigued.
Daddy Lessons off Lemonade had previously given us a taste of what a Beyoncé-Goes-Country track could sound like, but there’s a big difference between delivering one moment within an eclectic, genre-hopping rollercoaster and sustaining a whole album in that style. Even more so when that album is 27 tracks and 78 minutes long! But having seen very some positive reviews and my intrigue only heightening as a result, I dove into this one with the expectation that it would be another overhyped project – I was wrong. Whilst I wasn’t onboard with RENAISSANCE, I absolutely am with COWBOY CARTER.
Firstly, if the track length on this one is putting you off, don’t let that be the case. This album is such a fun, joyous time, that the 78-minute runtime just flies along. The album is also structured almost like a show you’d find on a Country Music radio station, with the legendary Willie Nelson himself guiding you through the “SMOKE HOUR”, with these interludes helping to keep the pace ticking along swiftly.
Most importantly though, the album is simply littered with stand-out moments from beginning to end. Singles 16 CARRIAGES and TEXAS HOLD ‘EM still sound great, but it’s the album tracks where the album really comes alive, with the likes of BODYGUARD, AMERIICAN REQUIEM, DAUGHTER and RIIVERDANCE blending elements of pop, soul and R&B seamlessly with the sounds of B’s Louisiana roots. There’s two instantly iconic covers as well that Beyoncé makes her own, turning The Beatles’ BLACKBIIRD into an empowering gospel anthem whilst switching the lyrics up on Dolly Parton’s JOLENE to reference Jay-Z’s infidelity – which also happens to include a blessing from Parton herself. To top it off, there’s also a bunch of interesting and worthwhile collaborations too, including country music heroes Linda Martell and Willie Jones, along with contemporary crossover popstars Miley Cyrus and Post Malone.
Overall, COWBOY CARTER is an album I’ve enjoyed much more than I was expecting to, so much so that I find myself returning to it fairly frequently. If you’re also feeling sceptical but slightly intrigued, I promise it is worth a spin. A really fun record filled with heart, soul, fascinating collabs and Beyoncé’s ever incredible vocal and genre gymnastics. Bring on ACT III!

Bright Future by Adrianne Lenker
From Country to Folk now, with Big Thief’s Adrianne Lenker donning her best Cowboy hat for the album cover to her latest solo outing, Bright Future. Whilst I can sometimes find Big Thief’s output easy to admire but hard to love, this one hit me in the gut straight away. Raw and impactful, it’s a collection of tracks where each song feels more emotionally devastating than the last.
Not only that but these are songs that feel instantly classic, with Lenker’s heartfelt songwriting radiating out of the music. The string-tinged melancholy of Sadness As A Gift is a big early highlight, whilst the lo-fi energy of Vampire Empire, heart-shattering piano ballad Evol and acoustic lament Candleflame all leave a strong lasting impression too, all in very different ways. Such is the emotional heft wrapped in these songs, by the time you reach gorgeous closing track Ruined, it’s likely you’ll be just that!
Whilst this is an album you have to be in the right mood for as it can be a hard listen at times, if it catches you in that opportune moment then the rewards are unparallelled to anything else released so far this year. Without a doubt, one of the best, most beautiful records of 2024 yet.

Tigers Blood by Waxahatchee
When Katie Crutchfield, AKA Waxahatchee, released her sobriety-seeking fifth studio album Saint Cloud at the height of the COVID-pandemic in March 2020, she couldn’t have imagined the impact it would generate. Here was an album brimming with emotional turmoil, at a time when the world was dealing with just that. As a result, it was the perfect album for the perfect time, steering Saint Cloud towards a spot on many year-end lists and Waxahatachee gaining plenty of new fans to boot. 4 years on, and Tigers Blood finds Katie Crutchfield looking to recapture the magic of that record with another collection of country-infused indie and Southern rock jams. And just like its predecessor, I’m pleased to say its chock-full of outstanding cuts.
From the uplifting stomp of opener 3 Sisters, the bluesy riffs of Ice Cold to the brilliantly laid-back, MJ Lenderman-featuring single Right Back To It, you’ll find yourself wrapped up in the warming sounds straight away. However, it is the even more stripped-back second half where the strength of Katie’s raw, honest songwriting really shines through, with Crimes of the Heart, 365, The Wolves and the closing title track all hitting hard.
Whilst I can see some people being left lukewarm by this one coming off the back of Saint Cloud, for me personally I think I’m enjoying Tigers Blood possibly even more than that record. Whilst it still has the traditional melodies and relatable lyrics, it feels like Katie has stepped things up once again with her songcraft. Either way, this is another superb collection that I suspect will see her return to the year-end lists come December.

All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade by The Libertines
Whilst they were a big part of my teens, I’ll be honest I had minimal enthusiasm when it came to hearing a new Libertines album in 2024. Whilst Carl Barât and Pete Doherty had previously reunited almost ten years ago on Anthems For Doomed Youth, it sadly sounded like two musicians trying desperately to recapture a long lost formula, at a time when indie landfill was hitting maximum capacity. However following a couple of decent singles, I decided to let nostalgia take over and give the quartet the benefit of the doubt, spinning this album with a completely open mind. What I found was an album that defied all my expectations, with The Libertines arguably sounding even more urgent now in 2024 than they did back in the early noughties.
With their ever-present Likely Lads charm, Barât and Doherty turn their pen onto the current state of Britain, through both politics and people. Their music is also richer and more textured than ever before, with their traditional indie sound bolstered by dramatic brass arrangements, sweeping strings and theatrical production. It all comes together to form arguably their strongest record to date, a dazzling 38-minute listen where the band sound more focussed, more interesting and generally just having much more to say.
It’s also got some of their very best songs to date, from singles Run Run Run, Night of the Hunter and Shiver to the raucous look at the Ukraine War on I Have A Friend and the jazz-infused Baron’s Claw. However, the album’s crown jewel is without a doubt Merry Old England, a powerful, orchestral ode to migrants coming to the UK that is as impactful as it richly textured, both sonically and lyrically.
This has been one of the biggest surprises of the year so far for me, an album I was never expecting to love as much as I do. My hat is well and truly tipped to Carl, Pete, Gary and John, who prove they are more than an old indie act trying to relive past glories. Whilst the nostalgia of the early records will always have a hold over their die-hard fans, there’s no doubt that if they look beyond rose-tinted glasses, they’ll see this is objectively their finest work to date.

The Sunset Violent by Mount Kimbie
One of my most played albums of April thus far, Mount Kimbie recently returned with their first studio album in seven years, bringing with them a new line-up and a new sound. Back this time as a quartet rather than a duo, The Sunset Violent sees the usually electronic outfit dive into a more indie/alternative sound to great effect. With King Krule also showing up to guest on a couple of tracks, it’s a gorgeous 36-minute listen seemingly destined to soundtrack warm and hazy summer evenings. There’s plenty of highlights too, with Shipwreck, Fishbrain and Yukka Tree all utter bliss.

Incommunicado EP by Express Office Portico
A bittersweet release this, as Notts indie-pop outfit Express Office Portico finally released their debut EP at the end of March. However, the release of the project also coincided with the news that lead singer Tara would be stepping down from the band. A huge loss who leaves big shoes to fill, Incommunicado thankfully manages to work as both a final chapter for the band at this stage, as well as an insight into their flourishing potential. Featuring five catchy and shimmering indie-pop grooves, its highlighted by No One, In Swim and excellent recent single He Said She Said.

Field Theory by Melts
“Dublin psych-rockers MELTS are one of those bands that very much live up to their name. With the quartet binding together after leaving various dissolved bands, MELTS’ 2022 debut ‘Maelstrom’ was a bold mission statement for their kaleidoscopic, mind-altering sound. Landing them somewhere in the venn diagram of contemporaries such as The Horrors, Working Men’s Club and Nation of Language, while still very much forming their own identity, it was an impressive first outing that left fans eager for the next chapter. Now back with their sophomore effort ‘Field Theory’, it’s no surprise to hear MELTS mostly stick with their winning formula for album number two. Overall, this is another hugely impressive release from MELTS and one that expands the fluorescent sonic world that was laid out on their debut. You also can’t help but feel that these songs on ‘Field Theory’ are built to thrive even more in a live setting, with the Dublin outfit assuredly building a catalogue of soaring, mind-melting compositions that just scream to be experienced in-person. Due to hit the road at the end of the month, those joining MELTS at these shows be pleasantly warned – you may just have your senses steamrolled.”

Tracks of the Week
1+1 = 11 by Peggy Gou
For years, DJ/Producer Peggy Gou has been Queen of the Summer banger, releasing just one single every year to ensure an all hits, no misses ratio. From Starry Night and I Go to last summer’s monster hit (It Goes Like) Nanana, she’s been unstoppable. So, with the news that her debut album I Hear You will finally drop this June, my expectations are already sky high for the 10 tracks that I’m hoping will soundtrack Summer 2024.
Coinciding with the news is her latest single offering 1+1 = 11, the song which will close out her upcoming debut. With shades of York classic On The Beach, it comes accompanied by a dazzling video starring artist Olafur Eliasson breakdancing inside a light installation at his studio in Berlin. Check it out!

B2b / Von Dutch / Club Classics by Charli XCX
The biggest album announcement of the past few weeks, electro-pop phenomenon Charli XCX will be releasing her new club-inspired album Brat this June and then touring UK arenas at the end of the year. Coming off the back of her instantly iconic Boiler Room set, the three singles so far suggest big inspiration from the dance and electronic music scene and I personally can’t wait for it.

House by London Grammar
Another big album announcement, indie-pop outfit London Grammar have finally announced the follow-up to 2021’s Californian Soil will drop in September, titled The Greatest Love. That record saw the band explore more electronic territory and if lead single / opening track House is anything to go by, it seems they will be building out that sound further on this upcoming effort.

Curse by Architects
The metal world was shocked earlier on this year when Bring Me The Horizon announced back in January that longtime band composer Jordan Fish was leaving the band. Since then fans were left wondering where he would end up and but it seems he has wasted little time moving on, already producing several tracks for other genre heavyweights. The latest is this thunderous new single from Architects, which boasts polished production and an instantly anthemic chorus.

Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts by The Gaslight Anthem
Back in 2008, rock heroes The Gaslight Anthem released their much beloved Señor and the Queen EP, with this song the closing track for the project. Now as part of their History Books (Short Stories) EP that was released to coincide with their recent UK tour, they’ve reworked the song so that it sounds even better than it did before – just gorgeous.

Message for Everyone:
Hey Guys Thedarkcrystopilisempire aka Laura Here, I just wanted to give everyone the best hugs for helping me through all my amazing Movie Career times along with My Best Movie Acting Career skills with my friends who helped me throughout my Movie Project Career and Series for Sonja and I. I want to thank you all so much for helping us out.
And sidenote, A friend of mine once told me that the more we just move on and never talk about those people who make any negative remarks about me and Sonja, well I will say they are wrong and shall leave us be while we still continue our content the way we want to be. Which means I am gonna ignore them and keep pushing forward and just keep those people blocked and hidden from my channels until further notice
(Respect My Boundaries Please and thank you)
Even when I first met Fionn  @foc2006   my main Movie Project Career helper of mine, we came together with the very first movie event in our history which will be the best time of our lives and I got to say, after all of those years making Curse Of The WereDemon/WereCat 1 and 2, Battle Of The Multiverse, Sonja and Laura's Adventure Series, The Guy Members Adventure Series, And Puss In Boots: Curse Of The WereCat Movie Project was the Greatest moment for the whole movie career to begin with. I will never forget about the good old times we had together and now that I have officially moved on from those people who wanted to just leave me alone and keep us in good terms and go our separate ways while I continue my projects with Sonja and a few other friends who I have made friends with since personal things happened but like I said before, I don't care People nowadays can be jerks but that doesn't matter to me anymore as long as I have my career the way I want it to be and I'll stick to it until the very end.
I will continue more of The Guy Members Adventure Series and Sonja and Laura's Adventure Series once more, but the Livestreams will be posted on a different channel because some certain individual user outside of YouTube is still after me so that is why I decided to make a Livestream channel to do that and entertain people with my amazing funny comedy moments elsewhere, but thank you all for the people that do support me and made me the happiest person alive, thank you all so much 💓 🙏

i have a question about the evillious playlist, mostly about "the song i heard somewhere". since the pv was updated recently with more information regarding the punishment novel, do you plan to add it to the playlist?
Context: [Link]
oh ! wasn't expecting to ever get an evillious ask here, though I certainly don't mind it's just never happened before kjlfasdljkasd
to tell you the truth, I already have it fully subtitled and uploaded to youtube. I'm planning on doing a big drop of all of the pvs that I plan on updating from mario gagabriel's pv/cover remake drop late last year, leading up to master of the heavenly yard.
Theoretically this was supposed to happen much sooner, but my work flow is just different from what it used to be now that I'm an Adult adult. plus I have plans of my own that I intend to throw into the mix UwU
I Do realize that at this point it'd probably make sense to just make what I have public, but that wouldn't be very exciting and I have much less of an excuse for the wait that way when I only have one finished video and million scraps I Can't share yet flkasjdkjlafsdkjl
I suppose I could do a poll on my channel and see what people think? or I can just ask the discord server what they think

morden au with Eddie, Steve and Robin having YouTube channels
Steve and Robin start looking into paranormal after upside down business ends with them all killing vecna. Robin is very shaken by the whole thing and keeps freaking out to Steve "what if ghosts or demons or other shit is real". Steve, who's never believed in any of that and is now more then happy to put upside down business to rest and never think about it again, is not having it. Because admitting other supernatural things' existence is too fucking much for him to handle, he is going to deny it until it punches him in the face.
But Robin wears him down (it's not like he is gonna let her do it alone) so he goes "ghost hunting" with her and they of course film the whole thing (he also brings his nail bat just in case). And when Robin watches it back it's kinda fun so she edits it and puts on YouTube. They keep doing it cause why not and occasionally she has to edit out conversations like "you know, for someone who's seen a literal monster, Steve, you are too flippant about this" "it wasn't a demon or a ghost tho, just some fucked up dude" "with supernatural powers!" "nah, it's totally different" but they have fun and gather following (is this a buzzfeed unsolved ripoff? yes, shut up, buzzfeed unsolved doesn't exist in that universe).
After a while they also start posting just whatever they think would be fun to do/watch. They also do some music together after Robin discovers that Steve can not only play the guitar but sing as well. Most of their stuff does well because while majority of people came to see them fuck around with cameras in the dark, they stay for Steve's and Robin's personalities and their dynamic.
Eddie never joined the Party, because he's from another town, but he has his band and one of his channels is dedicated to their music (he also occasionally reviews some songs/albums/bands, does recommendations or talks about any music related shit he likes). His second channel is Hellfire club where he plays DnD with friends (or occasionally other tablet top games). Sometimes he steams some video games - alone or with friends.
Eddie once get recommend one of Steve's and Robin's songs and while it's nothing phenomenal something (Steve) makes him go back to it again and again and in the ends up making a cover for it
The Party loves Eddie - Dustin, Mike and Lucas only his DnD channel, El is not very big on DnD but she watches his video games streams, Max likes his music channel, Will loves both
Steve and Robin (as well as Nancy and Jonathan) are still very close with the Party, so they know Eddie and when Will tells them Eddie covered one of their songs, well. Steve is feeling some type of way over Eddie singing his song (The Party also helps them film stuff oftentimes - with El usually being behind the camera during "paranormal investigations" (because she is curious and is also the only person who keeps silent) and the rest interchangeably help (on both sides of the camera) with other stuff, always ready to suss and redicule Steve and Robin)
Funny enough they meet accidentally when Eddie's band plays a gig in a "haunted" bar that Steve and Robin want to"investigate". They come in the evening to discuss the next day's arrangements with the owner, right at the time when Eddie's band is setting up their equipment for a little practice before the night's performance. Steve and Eddie keep making eyes at each other, Robin is very much done with them. But they all hit it off and even invite Eddie to join in on their investigation the next day. It goes amazing (and becomes their biggest video yet, because their chaotic energy is unmatched) and they keep in touch afterwards

Curious about the K-pop boy group that I never shut up about? Want to know more about them? Well, here you go!
This is Stray Kids!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are an 8-member self-produced Kpop group that debuted in 2018 and have been pushing tons of quality content since then (trust me, there is a lot). Their sound is a mix of genres. Wikipedia refers to it as kpop/ hip hop / electronica. Many fans refer to their sound as being very unique and critics say their music is just noise music. I personally say they have 3 specific styles they do when it comes to songs / music videos. There’s chaotic and upbeat (God’s Menu, Maniac, All In), chill and laidback (The View, Time Out) or soft and sentimental (Your Eyes, Sorry, I Love You, Waiting for Us). There’s other stuff, but these are the three we tend to see the most, I’d say. But even within those, there is always that distinct sound they have. They’ve written songs about a diverse range of topics from unrequited love to mental health to finding your own place in the world, etc. And they work hard to keep their music pretty much gender neutral and inclusive, so more people can relate!
They originally debuted as a 9-member group, the ninth member being Woojin, but I’ve mentioned in the past that I won’t talk about him much on here, so if you want to know more about him, I’d recommend looking him up. I’ve heard he has his own solo career now, if that interests you. He was mainly a vocalist in the group and he left in late 2019.
The current members are (in order of age): Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. Bang Chan actually chose the members himself (which, from what I understand, is very unusual in the industry they’re in) and that extra special touch from the beginning has clearly given these boys a special bond!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As of now (August 2022), the group has 2 full studio albums, three compilation albums, one reissued album, 10 EPs, 2 single albums, and 24 singles (according to Wikipedia). That doesn’t even include all the covers, collabs, etc that they’ve done with other artists or put out on their Youtube channel! They’ve put out a lot of music and content since their debut in March 2018 (and even some before that!), so there is a lot of content to experience. Their most recent release was their Japanese EP, Circus, which consists of 6 songs, as well the single ‘Mixtape: Time Out’, which was a gift to their fans (called Stays) on the anniversary of the naming of the fandom. There’s also currently nearing the end of there Maniac ‘World’ Tour and there’s rumor of another comeback in September!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The majority of Stray Kids songs are written and/or produced by 3Racha, which is a rap sub-unit that was created pre-debut and consists of Bang Chan (a.k.a. CB97), Changbin (a.k.a. SPEARB), and Han (a.k.a. J.ONE). They’ve had a hand in writing pretty much every single Stray Kids song, and they also have a ton of songs of their own on their Youtube channel! They’ve also done a lot of the composition of the songs, and Chan has helped with a lot of the arrangements. They’re all multi-skilled and could be considered the backbone of the group.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another sub-unit within the group is danceracha, which consists of Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. They are all extremely skilled dancers and have a big helping hand in the choreography for a lot of their performances. They’ve also written a unit song together, which was featured on their ‘In Life’ album. Much like everyone in this group, these boys are multi-talented at many different things, not just dancing!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the final sub-unit within the group is Vocalracha! Although 2 other members are classified as vocalists within the group (and honestly, all 8 members are very skilled at singing), Vocalracha just consists of Seungmin and I.N. They’ve done a couple unit songs together (one which also features Changbin and another which features Han). And of course, these two are skilled at other things, not just singing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The group was formed through the survival reality show by the same name as the group, Stray Kids. I, personally, have never watched it, because the clips I have seen have made me emotional as hell. But it looked like a very stressful and difficult time for the boys, so I’m glad they were all able to debut together and truly become successes!
Tumblr media
As I mentioned above, the boys have a wide variety of music to experience out there. I would recommend starting with the more popular stuff (it’s popular for a reason!) and than, if you like it, delving deeper into their discography. (On a side note, from what I understand, there is ongoing lore behind their music videos? Like, there’s a whole story line at play throughout all of them. I have very little knowledge about this, but I believe some people have made videos or posts about it, if you’re interested in that!)
Songs that seems to be really popular (or ones people tend to flock to first): Hellevator (a pre-debut song and an extremely impressive one at that); District 9 (actual debut song); Miroh; God’s Menu; Back Door; Thunderous (my personal favorite video, but not song); Maniac
Songs I personally love that aren’t mentioned above: Beware (Grrr) (another pre-debut song); Side Effects; Easy; Wow; All In; Cheese; Red Lights; Sorry, I Love You; Domino (okay, I wouldn’t normally link a dance practice, but the choreography for this one is amazing, and it never got a music video); Scars; Charmer; Venom; Circus
So, I think that’s most of the basics. I’ll get in to more stuff with the individual posts and recommend more songs/videos, etc.
As I mentioned above, the boys have a ton of content out there. A ton. Like, so much. My recommendation is just googling for it, or when you see a clip you like, asking about it. I haven’t seen everything, probably not even half, so I’m only going to recommend what I have seen. Pretty much everything I’ve watched is on Youtube!
SKZ Code, which is like a reality type show that they post on Vlive and Youtube. It always has subtitles on first upload and it’s hilarious. The boys are usually given a theme/scenario/mission for the episode/s and they’ve ranged from scary (finding stuff in the dark) to funny (playing a life-sized board game) to chill (their current 5-episode run of them on Jeju Island). Each episode is full of fun and hilarious moments/lines and it really helps showcase the boys individual personalities.
2 Kids Room. There’s been a few different versions of this over the years, at least...3? 4? I’ve only ever seen full episodes of the most recent ones though. Each video is basically 2 of the boys talking about their dynamic and the other boys discussing it behind the scenes.  They’re full of sweet and funny moments and really showcases how each friendship works in the group. Also helps you learn a lot of stuff about the boys that you may not have known!
There’s also ♡ Kids Room. It’s a little older (from last year, I think), but it’s a cute game show style thing. You can find it on Youtube.
There’s their SKZ TALKER episodes. It’s an ongoing series on their Youtube channel of behind the scenes moments with the boys. There’s lots of cute and funny moments on there too, however, a lot of the times, these get uploaded without subtitles at first. They usually get subtitles eventually though! They also post behind the scenes of a lot (if not all?) of their music videos, those are always interesting. AND. I recommend their dance practice videos, if you want to see or really enjoy their choreography.
There’s a ton more, so much more. Variety shows, interviews (both in English and Korean!), lives, so much. I’d recommend checking out compilation videos on Youtube (I watched so many in the beginning, and still enjoy going back to rewatch them!) if you’re really curious, and if you like a clip, kind of doing your research from there. That’s what I did, lmao. Also, there’s a lot of older stuff I’m missing, like Finding Skz, I know. I haven’t personally seen any of it, so I don’t want to speak on it too much, but I’ve heard good things!
So, that’s my first post! I don’t know if anyone will actually read these or find them useful, but I like doing this kind of thing, so I’m going to make one of these for all the boys!

Thaluke Mortal (or not) AU where they are influencers? We might've already done this??? Can't remember
Also! Hi! How have you been doing lately?
Have we've done it? Yes. Am I on to do it again? Also yes!
Last time we said that both of them were YouTubers (Thalia was doing mainly song covers, while Luke was book/writer type of blog/channel) so should they be different type of influencers?
Imagine if one of them is more famous than the other and like has to attend different events that are similar to red carpets and such, and just Luke being a total gentleman even if he is the more famous one.
Opening the door to Thalia and bowing a little as he takes her hand. Kissing the top of it. Just being really cute. When he was younger he made kind of a really big deal out of it and it stuck.
They are childhood friends (i know this doesn't follow proper chronology, bear with me cause my mind is all over the place rn😭😭😭) though people don't know that. And they kinda keep it a secret bc it helps them keep some sort of privacy. They have a fague but believable story that they tell if asked so they can keep those memories and moments for themselves only.
Also, I've been doing mostly fine, though my Eid was really disappointing one so I'm still kinda bummed out about that. How have you been doing?

Exploring the depths of YouTube late one drunken night, I happened to stumble upon the Trybals channel. It's a reaction channel where a group of people from Sindh, Pakistan who have had basically no exposure to the west react to western YouTube videos and culture. The man behind the camera translates the English for them and they analyze what they see the same way modern western people talk about tribal cultures and it's fucking amazing.
My favorite video is their reaction to Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence. Do they scoff at the strange instruments and gravely vocals and the weird angry man with all his facial piercings? No! They respect and praise his powerful voice, the emotion of the song, they find it interesting how these foreign people express themselves through jewelry, and they remark on how true the song is even in their culture (where smartphones are becoming ubiquitous even in tribal villages). They break down the meaning of the song more effectively than I've ever heard anyone do it and even brought me a deeper understanding of the lyrics. They think it's amazing that this white man in West was able to write so accurately and brilliantly about such true things even all those years ago. There are also several other videos of them reacting to different types of Metal and at no point do they have anything negative to say.
youtube
In one of the videos they react to We Are The World, and one of the reactors, a younger guy named Mukhtiar, instantly falls in love with Cindi Lauper. In another video, they try painting for the first time and he creates an abstract painting that reflects his love for her. He later sees what she looks like now as an older woman and is asked whether that changes his feelings and his response is "age doesn't affect feelings". The others agree that if she feels the same way about him, there's no issue with them getting married with such an age difference. It's fucking adorable.
They also watch Mister Rogers and Bob Ross and Steve Irwin and express their respect to these men for being such great teachers. They watch My Cat From Hell and are impressed by Jackson Galaxy's gift with cats. They try pizza for the first time and their opinions run the gamut from "oh this is delicious" to "I don't see what the big deal is, it's just bread with stuff on it".
Anyway go watch the channel. They all seem like lovely people and it's so much fun to see my own culture discussed as a strange foreign thing for a change.
