A few questions for VT au
Im sure its obvious that misako belonged to the irondragon clan but does she ever tells garm or anyone else the details? Is her past ever gonna come bite her? Does she ever meet clouse in TOE? If so how does it go?
Garm knows everything about Misako's past and her family. It took her awhile to open up and tell him everything, but by the time of the plot kicking off he knows everything. Mystake knows a fair amount, but not everything.
I have a few ideas of how Misakos past could come back around. Some are more humorous, like Misako, Garm, Lloyd, Nya, Pixal, and the Ninja being at a party at the Imperial Palace thrown in honor of Wu's defeat and Garm's name being cleared of all crimes (the Emperor is trying to get on Garm's good side after seeing him absolutely demolish the Great Devourer) and running into her parents.
An event which ends with Misako cussing them out, pulling Garm into a dip kiss while flipping her parents off, dumping a platter of fancy finger food into her purse, and then leading her family and friends out to go get crappy pizza from Ninjago's version of Chuck E Cheese.
Something like that.
Others are more serious, like someone being sent by her parents finally finding her and almost kidnapping Lloyd before getting curb stomped by one or more of Lloyd's family members.
It's one of the things I haven't gotten narrowed down, but when I do it'll be a little interlude story between main story lines.
And she and Clouse do run into each other during ToE.
They fistfight eachother.
Little tidbit this made me think of: Garm doesn't realize who Clouse is at the beginning of the Tournament; Misako always called him something like 'Pencil-dick the Wannabe Wizard' on the rare occasion she talked about him.

🥖 (sorry if I'm late)
Send a 🥖 to throw a baguette at my muse.
"Oh, no, I don't think-" The wizard blinks, seeing the impish smirk on the commander's face from across the camp who twirled the long stick of bread in their hands.
"Commander, if that's coated with some flammable material, I'll remind you that I don't have an ice spell prepared-" The hooved tiefling takes a cautious step back, just as Commander Ariadne chucks the baguette at Kadira's head with an ease of a flask.
It's only fancy foot work that has Kadira avoid the baguette in a direct hit, but it bounces at hits the tall red-skinned woman on her leg. Kadira stares down at it for a moment and sighs, "I'm telling Quartermaster Garms!"

what if i made up a magic system for ninjago. for no reason (transcript under the cut!)
(page one and two spread)
i make up my own NINJAGO MAGIC SYSTEM (my house now)
it’s lots more complicated and there are gray areas, things that don’t even apply to it, etc. etc. BUT. it’s kinda like a spectrum.
(below is a bar, on the left it’s labeled oni magic (onish) on the right dragon magic (draconic). from left to right, points are labeled spellcasters (clouse, io), Lord G*, Lloyd, Wu*, other elementals**, and core elements (fire, lightning, ice, earth). spellcasters is on the far left, Lloyd is in the middle, core elements is on the far right.)
So Basically,
- Spellcasters (ie. wizard shit.) use “oni magic”. they have a greater range, and can do almost anything magical w/supplements.
a canon example would be. just Clouse. (my oc Io is also an example. hiii ❤️)
- elemental masters use “dragon magic”. they are only limited to their specific element, but are much more powerful (even a spellcaster doing a Strong Ass Fire Spell can’t measure up to the EM of fire)
the CORE ELEMENTS are the purest examples of draconic magic. (Fire - Lightning - Ice - Earth)
any other elementals are DERIVATIVES. they are debatable (like, is metal from fire or earth?) but still draconic in nature.
**EXCEPTIONS!
- wind. i think it should be draconic but we don’t have enough info. elusive motherfucker. (wind dragons exist, so?)
- waster. is even older than Fucking God. that’s Wojira’s territory. maybe just an EM in name?
(page three and four spread)
*Lord Garm. and Master Wu are Elemental Masters of Destruction and Creation respectively, but. only in name.
“Destruction” and “Creation” are NOT real elements.
- will not be inherited
- do not have E. dragons
- not legal in the eyes of Firstbourne
it’s weird “LOL GOD IS MY DAD” shit. Garm is just more oni and Wu is just more dragon. that’s it
methinks they adopted the “Elemental Master” titles during the Elemental Alliance days. wouldn’t that be neat.
well, what about the GREEN NINJA? dude. holy shit.
as a tool designed to bring balance to the world, he’s kinda. both and neither.
functionally an EM, but with the energy base of a spellcaster. KINDA a real element.
- not inherited either (randomized!)
- half n half
- just. always vaguely importante
not needed, but has different names based on pwr:
(below is a range, labeled on the left with LESS and on the right with MORE. from left to right:
“GREEN”
what tlnm Lloyd has. (funny pic of tlnm lloyd) weak + defensive. boosts other EMs, that’s abt it.
“ENERGY”
what post s3 Lloyd has. (funny pic of show lloyd) very strong, but basic EM. sometimes called “power”
“GOLD”
what Golden Ninja Lloyd had. (funny pic of s2 lloyd) packed with enough power to beat the Overlord. has a bit of core too
GREEN is on the far left, ENERGY is in the middle. GOLD is on the far right.)

More Oni headcanons that I wanted to add on
to @ambrosial-tea post but I forgot until now!
There are different tribes of Oni as stated in the last post. Aka Oni (Red), Ao Oni (Blue), Shiro Oni (Pale/White), and our Kuro Oni (Black/Dark).
We don’t know too much of the Dark Oni we got but we do know that Oni were originally intended to be guardians between Material Plane and Spirit World when the two began overlapping (possibly The Grasslands/Departed, and Cursed Realm before they began separating). Put a tribe of Oni on the Material Plane for a couple years and they’d splinter into subraces of Oni and become more corrupted by the years. Dark Oni became one of the tribes corrupted.
Aka Oni are the most common type of Oni with their dark red colors, large size, and toughness. They’re slightly bigger than the rest of their kin, more violent, unfocused, and pursue immediate satisfaction, disregarding long drawn out plots and schemes. They’re mostly known for strength too.
Ao Oni are known for their unnatural cunning and aptitude for magic, smaller than their red kin but larger than pale, and have different shades of dark blue. They’re the ones you’d catch calculating and meticulously pursuing lofty goals like power and knowledge.
Shiro Oni are known for their aloofness and connections to the spirit realm. They’re the smallest of the main three tribes and the fewest of members. They vary from pale white to light gray. (They may as well adopt other Oni who share their colors and hopefully teach them their ideals.) Pale Oni would rather keep things in balance between the material plane and spirit world as the ancient Oni intended. They guard their locations but will adventure for artifacts of the spirit world and mend balance. If we take that into account perhaps they are another reason why Realm travel is difficult to Oni who try to cross through the any of the realms involving afterlives.
While Oni have no concept of gender since they have both reproductive organs, they also have no concept of sexualities either. Honestly they just didn’t have a name for it when one didn’t feel the need to have sex or when another felt more attracted to the same sex aspects of their partner. (If anything, their type of relationships or way of thinking would be looked up upon because they felt closer to their spirituality and their true selves.) Again they sometimes don’t mate for reproduction but just for the vibes of their partner.
They probably didn’t have a name for having multiple partners at the time either. If one Oni wanted to be a part of what the other two had and they were content with the feel of them, then it was okay. Plus more hands to help raise the cub personally. (Essentially that’s what PolyGarm would basically be. They make Garm happy, they’re happy with him, and Lloyd would basically have more than two parents. At this point Lloyd would just have more dads and Koko is just the one good mom he deserves.)
The second Oni learn what kisses are and how they work, they find it just as addictive as they do with other acts of affection.
Oni are more closer to their family than they are to strangers because in most Oni’s belief, strangers brought suffering to the family. In turn they displayed their family’s name first before their own, showing pride in them and hoping to intimidate any strangers with ill intent towards them.
Speaking of Oni names, they don’t usually have any but when they do their names would be what positive traits the parents wish the child to take on. For example, a son could have “Akihiko”. “Aki” meaning “bright” and “hiko” meaning “boy/prince”. They could want him to be someone brighter than they ever hoped for. For a daughter, “Asuna” with “asu” meaning “tomorrow” and “na” to “greens” or “apple tree”. Maybe the parents are hoping the Oni daughter would lead them to a more plentiful day. And then there’s the family names. The most famous ones are “Hideyoshi” and “Ishikawa”. We’ve heard of these names and the history behind them, I wouldn’t want to come across any of their descendants that carry their name with honor.
Ironically “Harumi” is actually a name for a female Oni in some home brewing lore. One of her meanings is “govern/rule” and “beauty”. Goes to show how far she would take her name literally.
Shiro Oni/Pale Oni don’t have names, but it’s because they don’t want to be too close to the material plane while they guard the spirit realms. They would refer to themselves and each other as “that/this one” instead like how gargoyles in the old days would. If they come up with names, it’s for the sake of working with others on the material plane, but even then it only happens when they really trust the people around them.
Oni have a large appetite that could put the Pythor and the Anacondrai to shame. They could honestly compete against the Great Devourer and other wyrms.
An Oni’s pair of horns are a sign of honor. No pair of horns are alike, not even the closest siblings’ horns look the same. They all have their differences. Their horn length is their pride. Having them sawed off is quite literally shameful to the owner of them but they did do something to deserve it.
It’s possible that some Oni were confused at Garm’s horns not being there at first but they hear about the first time they grew out of his head he quite literally broke them off and bled for a good long while to the point of passing out. (Blood vessels actually go throughout the antlers/horns in animals which is why they aren’t busted right off easily. Why wouldn’t they to Oni horns?) Come to find out it was the FSM’s hate for Oni that made Garm hate himself and how he looked so Garm had them filed down to his scalp or small enough to hide in his hair. It honestly almost hurts the Oni’s look on the FSM even more but hey who hasn’t he hurt? It takes a couple more decades and some therapy before he finally let’s go of his internalized self hatred and trauma that he grows out his horns and finally has pride in himself like most Oni already do.
So it’s not uncommon for Oni to live among other races, whether secretly or not, due to their shapeshifting abilities, however sometimes they’re immediately shunned when their true form slips out. Unless they proved otherwise to the most accepting of inhabitants, they’re allowed to stay. By then they’d have a hybrid appearance with their horns out, either out of their kindness to ease the others’ fear of them or for their own personal benefit.
Oni that do live on their own choose to live in the wilderness or in the mountains. If living in society but still wanting some sort of solitude, they’d either be closer to the outskirts or deep in the downtown where you’d either have to ask directions to specific people to find them or already know where they are. Hence Mistaké with her small tea shop and Wu being able find her.
As stated before Oni have no problems with Half-Oni at all. They’re just welcoming another cub into the pack and it’s just the fact that they are a child of an Oni who fell in love with another humanoid. Although there are some cases of Oni being chased out by the other race with their cub in their arms and they just run until they find the closest tribe. They’d be welcomed into the tribe and the cub is basically adopted by them.
Again half Oni isn’t a problem to them, but they do have a problem with any particular wizards experimenting on Oni breeding with any other humanoids. The know it’s not the parents’ fault neither is the cub’s. If neither parent want nothing to do with them, then the half Oni cub is taken off of their hands by another Oni who was grieving at a loss of a cub (or the realization they couldn’t have any) or a pairing who wouldn’t mind another. The cub won’t have a terrible environment, the parents won’t have to unwillingly interact with the child until they resolve their own issues or they wish to visit and see them grow.
Meanwhile, those wizards will never know peace again until the day they die, even other tribes, who they could be at war with, will catch wind of what happen and help in taking them out. By the time those wizards die, even the Pale Oni who have no ties with Omega or any other tribes won’t be forgiving to them. They won’t do anything too harmful to them, but they will lead them to the terrible part of the Cursed Realm and those wizards proceed to stay there until they fade out of existence entirely.
Enough angst there and let’s go back to fluff. I bet Oni would love dice. Like not even for games but for the click-clack sound. (“Lloyd. They’re metal dice. You cannot have—.” “Shiny sparkly metal bits make pretty sounds! :D” “Garmadon please tell your son not— Not you too!” “Wha~ It does sound pretty.”)
Y’all know how like adult lions play with their babies? They pretend to be hurt and that the cub is super strong to help build up their confidence. Hear me out, Oni do that too. Big goddamn Omega really be taking hits from tiny little cubs, Mistaké be playing with little Garmadon and playing dead on him, then Garm just does the same thing for little Lloyd. (“Koko, sweetie, help. It’s the battle of the century in here. Help, save me. He’s too powerful!” “*tiny war cry*”)
Someone makes a baby Oni cry one time and boy it’s absolutely over. It’s on sight for that person. I’m telling you On Sight!
Oni can purr loud enough to the point where it rumbles in them like a motor and that’s how cubs feel their parents’ purring. Then there’s baby Oni just babbling and the adult Oni just pretend to have a whole conversation with them. Don’t get me started on them playing soft flute music to help the toddler Oni sleep.
We probably only got a few words out of Omega when they first appeared because we were hearing them through human ears. Lloyd’s Oni brain would click on and translates what he knows while Garm in full Oni form can get full sentences out of Omega.
Oni are willing to learn a different language if it helps others understand them and their intentions. Now let’s just think of Lloyd connecting to his Oni side of the family (since let’s face it, the Oni are going to be around longer than most of his friends are) through teaching them sign language.
They also try to teach him their Oni tongue but he can only grasp a few words at a time easily. When he finally learns the language, next thing you know he’s going to be cursing and only Oni will understand. Some (aka Mistaké) want to scold him and others (*cough*Garmadon*cough*) find it hilarious.
Garmadon’s Oni-Dragon hybrid brain wants him to decorate his significant others and now I think of Oni just sharing the precious items they hoard with their mate. Wait till they figure out they can make jewelry and have their significant other wear it.

more about that unnamed au that i have been too hyperfocused about for the past 2 days
(also this is like in medieval times bc im too tired to jam technology into this HSHSA)
there are 3 known realms; hell, heaven, and ninjago.
hell is where demons are born. only the strongest and fittest will survive here. you are either born with immense power or must fight for it. immediately from birth, demons here know they have to fight for their lives. its a free for all, and only one demon will stay winning. if they become the strongest demon, they essentially become the king of hell, with all the things they could dream of having. riches, food, power, anarchy. the king possesses it all, but must fight to keep his right to the throne.
heaven. angels are born here, into different jobs and duties they must fulfill, as there in a hierarchy for every angel. an angel could be a judge who would convict mortals based on their sins and virtues, to a guardian assigned with the sole task to hunt down demons that have escaped hell or to protect mortals.
ninjago is a typical realm. but here lives all sorts of mythical creatures. fae, mermaids, witches, wizards, werewolves, ghosts-- any sort of mythical creature you know, they have trodden in this realm and live hidden from the mortal eye. but these beautiful and terrifying creatures are near extinction, due to the human hunters that desire their magic.
the other realms cease or exist. any characters from those realms are solely in hell, heaven, or ninjago. (unless... ???)
lloyd is the son of lord garmadon, the king of hell. his mortal mother, misako, took lloyd and escaped with him from hell under an agreement with garm. garmadon may be the literal incarnate of evil, but that does not mean he wants a hellish(im so fucking tired) life for his son.
kai is a human hunter and blacksmith, thirsty for revenge from demons, angels, and mythical creatures alike. he believes they have taken his parents. also probably becomes a demon later on lmfao
nya is a sympathetic human hunter along with kai, but a witch/inventor in hiding. she knows kai severely hates anything magical so she tries to keep it secret from him, but aids any mythical creatures kai hurts and releases them.
zane is an artificial seraph(or angel) created by dr julien, a fallen angel who built him in hopes of replacing his role in heaven. he is one of the strongest guardians in heaven, built to be the protector of all of ninjago. he resides on earth, having lost his memory and all connection to heaven. but he has never been to heaven, as his creator attempted to send him up to the golden gates to no avail. he was refused entrance to heaven for being artificial, much to the dismay of his friends.
cole is one of the very few remaining of an ancient mythical species, the kind who are incredibly powerful. by nature, he is the mythical protector of his land, ninjago, and every mythical creature living in it. the name of his species has been lost in time, and even he has forgotten it.
jay is a mortal man and inventor, whom has been accused of wizardry several times. he has been lucky enough to survive the witch hunts. he lives under the protection of ed & edna walker, two fallen angels who only want the best for their son. he is the first to have met any of the other ninja, cole, when he was searching for discarded items in the forest. they have been besties ever since lmfao

Other Apocalypses besides Zombies
Magical:
An incursion from a dimension of wizards, the awakening of a mythical sorcerer-king presumed dead, the unearthing of a mystical artifact, or the like, which then brings about the collapse of modern society as we know it. The world after is changed forever. Terraforming, changes in weather patterns, even entirely unique environments made possible by magic now exist. Society is most likely now a magocracy,  probably ruled by the outside forces that brought magic, or by any survivors who gained strange powers from the apocalyptic event.
Eldritch Horror:
The cultists succeed in awakening Cthulhu, the gate is opened to the realm beyond the stars, or maybe one of Great Old Ones is drifting aimlessly through the cosmos and brushes past Earth; whatever it is, it doesn’t just cause society to collapse, it alters the fundamental laws of reality on the planet. Does gravity still function normally? How about distance? What aberrant creatures now roam the earth? Corrupted humans, flora, fauna, and terrain now exist. The cults of the Old Ones control whatever is left of society, and most survivors have been afflicted with some form of madness.
Ragnarok:
Ragnarok is an apocalypse with a clearly defined road map of what happens when. It starts with a period of 3 winters without summer in between, which could also be interpreted as 3 years of straight winter; on a global scale. This is apocalyptic on its own, and that’s just the first stage. It leads to a time of violence and war between humanity. The sun and moon are devoured by Skoll and Hati, the starts disappear from the sky, Yggdrasil will shake, trees will fall, and mountains will crumble. The bonds holding Fenrir will break, the Naglfar will be set free, Jormundgand will rise from the ocean and spit poison, polluting land, sea, and sky, Loki will be released, and the sky will split open, letting the fire giants of Muspelheim, led by Surtur, mount an assault on Asgard. After that, the gods will have their various fated conflicts; Odin vs. Fenrir, Heimdall vs. Loki, Thor vs. Jormundgand, Tyr vs. Garm, and Frey vs. Surtur.
Ragnarok actually has two different endings, which would impact the apocalypse story being told. In one version, Ragnarok is the final end of all that was, but in the other, some gods and two humans survive, restarting the world.
Tectonic:
The supervillain sets off a nuke below a fault line, the government drills too deep, something happens which destabilizes the crust of the planet. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, jets of magma shooting up from the mantle, islands crumble into the sea, mountains rise as tectonic plates slam together, and the atmosphere is coated in ash. The climate and geography of Earth are irreversibly changed, and most humans die out. The survivors are left to wander a volcanic wasteland, the earth blisteringly hot just below the surface, but the ground cold from lack of sun.
Plants:
A secretive order of nature mages completes their ritual thousands of years in the making, a bioengineering lab creates something that gets out of control, or maybe the spirits of the Earth themselves reawaken to find the world polluted. Whatever the cause, the world is now overrun with fauna. Trees sprout up in the middle of roads, vines spread around buildings and crush them, grass grows taller than people, once-normal plants now drip poison and/or are covered in thorns, and there’s new types of giant carnivorous plants. There may even be sentient plant folk waging direct war against modern society.
Time:
The mad scientist’s experiments with making a time machine went wrong, continual travel through time stressed the fabric of reality, or maybe someone accidentally killed their grandfather. Whatever the case, time broke. You go to bed one day, and wake up yesterday. Historical figures suddenly appear in our time, people from our time slip back to theirs, and the same thing happens with our future. People are trapped in time loops, places fast-forward, and nothing occurs linearly anymore. Who knows what this does to living creatures? Do we now have sentient beings trapped in a fusion of the rotting corpse they will become and the embryo they once were? Could anyone remain sane?
Just some thoughts, might do more with them in the future.

Fibres of Morrowind
Morrowind’s harsh climate makes it unsuitable for the sheep and flax so common to Western cultures, so the Dunmer utilize a number of other sources for their clothing and furniture. This is an overview of the fibres used in Morrowind.
Silks
By far the most popular form of fibre in Morrowind, silk is sourced from a variety of insects, spiders and daedra. Silk is both used on its own and combined with other fibres. The majority of dunmeri clothing is made of silk.
Nix-ox, strider, blight-moth: The most common three sources of silk, which is extracted from the cocoons of these insects. In the case of Nix-ox and Striders, the string is thick enough to be worked as-is, while blight-moth silk is thin and requires plying. Nix-ox and strider silk make for heavy and durable garments that provide excellent insulation, as well as protection from stinging insects and ash storms. Blight-moth silk is lighter, absorbent, and can be woven into breathable fabrics ideal for warm weather.
Spider: Spider silk is expensive and considered a ‘finer’ silk, often used in exquisite clothing. It creates a thin yet surprisingly durable fabric with a characteristic drape, described as feeling “light as a cloud”.
Spider daedra: The most expensive silk available in Morrowind, its rarity owing to the inherent difficulty in conjuring, trapping, and harvesting silk from a spider daedra. This silk is naturally resistant to all elements as well as resistant to magic, emits a faint glow in darkness, and is curiously conductive of electricity. While its properties make it a favorite among wizards, prolonged exposure has been reported to cause paranoia and an increased attractiveness to daedric forces, and it is not advised for laymen wear.
Wool
This is not true wool, but was instead named such by invading Nords in the first era. True wool is always imported; sheep fare poorly even in the forgiving Deshaan region. Wool is particularly prominent on Vvardenfell, where its flame-retardant nature and insulating properties make it a popular feature in outerwear.
Blight-moth: Whereas blight-moth silk is harvested from the cocoons, blight-moth wool is harvested from the thick fuzz covering the moth’s body. The fabric made from this wool has a coarse, scratchy texture, but is flame-resistant and insulating. The wool in Ordinator vestments on Vvardenfell is invariably of this type.
Linens:
As with wool, this is not true linen, for flax doesn’t fare well in Morrowind’s harsh climate. Linen is popular in the south, where its cool, absorbent nature makes it ideal to cope with the warmth and humidity of the Deshaan and near-Black Marsh regions.
Kresh-fibre: Made from fibres of the kresh plant. This fabric is stiff and not ideal for clothing, but makes excellent furniture. Ashlanders are the traditional purveyors of this fabric, and Ashlander-woven kresh is a common trade good.
Anther: Made from black or willow anther, Anther linen is similar in nature to flax linen. It’s often used in clothing, and forms a light, breathable fabric.
Mycelium: A luxury fabric in the Telvanni regions, Mycelium linen is made from the mycelium of Emperor Parasol mushrooms. The techniques used to create this fabric are closely guarded and often passed down through family. Fabrics made from other parts of the Emperor Parasol (such as the gills) are also classified as mycelium linen. The properties of mycelium fabric depend largely on how it is prepared, but it is often described as “rubbery”.
Specialty:
Khajiit fur: A luxury fabric used among House Dres. Though fabric made with Khajiit fur is reputed to be exceptionally soft, this fabric is rarely in use due to its tendency to cause allergic symptoms.
Ancestor’s hair: Though all handmade garments customarily have strands of the maker’s hair woven into them, garments that have been passed down through generations and undergone several repairs may end up consisting of more hair than the original fibre. Due to the connection to the ancestors, these garments are treated as holy relics within their Houses. The Hair-Shirt of Saint Aralor is a famous example of an ancestor hair garment.
Human’s hair: For a brief time, House Telvanni experimented with the use of human slaves as a fibre source. Garments made of human hair are outlawed by the Temple and considered by most to be “gross”.
Wire: Allegedly originating from the lost House Dwemer, wire garments are woven from very thin, malleable wire. The original Dwemer constructions do not rust and are surprisingly flexible, whereas later imitations are stiff and prone to decay. Temple myth holds that the Ebony Mail was constructed in the fashion of wire-knit garments rather than being true chainmail. According to rumor, wire-knit garments are popular in the Clockwork City.

So Karu suggested I do a redraw of something I made 10 years ago, and Garm picked out the picture to do. Here are the end results.
I admit, some of this was rushed in the redraw, I didn’t want to get too crazy. But I did finish Aurixel, with some changes cause come on! If I’m gonna redraw a character, I’m going to make sure he’s reusable in a D&D game possibly. So have a dumb goth wizard who tries to look cool but 99.9% of the time he’s just a huge awkward dork of a teen.

Since I've failed to properly set up my messaging spells under my wizardly identity, I've had to resort to using this poor vessel I found called "anon" to ask a question on the behest of my true self, @casters-coture . It's quite amazing to see a fellow maker of fine robes and garments here on this plane since my shop did another realm jump! Shadow Wizard Tailors Gang...is this an actual coalition or union of fashion savvy wizards? Are you, or any other dashing robe makers, open to business partnerships or future collaborations on arcane attire? My sincerest apologies if I come off too strong, being a stranger in these new whimsical lands. ~ Mx. Scorpio D'Magos, Mage of the Stage
Ah! Greetings! Good to see a fellow purveyor of wizarding garments!
Unfortunately, currently, unless you know of any others, shadow wizard tailors gang is just me but I thought it sounded cool! I would absolutely be open to future partnerships! I'm always looking for new inspiration and fellow collaborators with whom I can share my love for fine robes and hats!!
Welcome to the area! It's good to have you around!
All the best,
~ Poly Manteaux - sorcerer of silks

Okay since I did that post about Oni headcanons, it’s fair that I do one with Dragons and hopefully my Dragon Samurai
Before we talk about dragons, let’s talk about their evolution for a bit. We notice that most of them are flying reptiles. Literally just giant lizards with wings. I’m gonna propose the idea that they look like giant lizards with short legs because in the First Realm, it is mostly a desert. They had to evolve to run fast speeds on their legs possibly much like a Kaprosuchus but bigger. Some of them could most likely gallop and their long legs would give them a running start to flying.
Speaking of flying, they actually might have different methods. One set of wings would be made to glide along the wind currents, possibly before or during a sandstorm (they have a protective eyelid to keep debris out). Another would need heat rise to float back up in time. Others would have a second set of lungs ready to help them float in the air.
Lastly, there’s those that have smaller wings that look more like fins on sea dragons. Those types would be water or serpentine/eel-like dragons. Their whiskers/hair would be more like tentacles or like sea anemones.
Dragons won’t go up against a full on Sphinx. Sphinx hair already makes them weak, a full grown Sphinx in their presence will just plain kill them. (Taking the lore from American Dragon Jake Long. Actually a good cartoon.)
The Great Devourer and the Anacondrai Serpent are Wyrms. They might not have elemental properties like Wyrms but they should be allowed to go into the category with their immense size and the Lego Dimensions version of the Anacondrai Serpent getting the elemental piece stuck on her head, which allowed her to use the Elemental powers. That would also make the Fire Serpents be Wyrms as well, and you know what it works.
Now how would my Dragon Samurai, a group of Dragonborn, come about? The answer is actually right in front of your face. Chima. It not only affected some animals like it originally did but it also has the potential to affect the other dragons. Granted, dragons could Polymorph but that would mean it’s limited to an extent, so I made it more permanent with the Chi water. They learned to look more human with Glamour Magic. (Glamour Magic isn’t easy to find or make so they had to get help from wizards, witches, and everyone in between which is why Knighton is going to be part of the Realms despite what canon writers say.)
Dragon Samurai actually became one of the first branches of the Mythical Factions. They helped others like Kitsune, Tengu, and even the earlier Serpentine, build their branches. Well, they tolerated the snakes with ancient hate going between the two.
If you hadn’t noticed my Dragon Samurai women in the videos recently, I’ll just tell you here. Yes they’re Chromatic Dragons in human form. Based off of Chromatic Dragons anyways, Garm points it out to Crimson, they all have a color and Koko has a metallic dragon theme, and she doesn’t take it too lightly since the incident with the Obsidian Dragon Samurai. I’m not spoiling that bit. Anyways, it’s a case of blurring the lines of good and bad with chromatic and metallic dragons.
The Oni have no idea how to handle the Dragon Samurai clan. It’s basically a clan of awakened dragons who learned how to deal with them. They’re not afraid of them. They’re afraid of the fact that they learned how to kill them in different ways. Some of it was just plain inhumane and it also tied to the Obsidian Dragon Samurai.
Dragon Samurai saw their versions of right and wrong and boy the Obsidian Dragon thought the others too soft on their long hated enemies.

I have never crafted a robe in my life but id like to learn, are you taking new crafters as apprentices?
Btw unrelated any limit on how many eyes are allowed at once in the workshop?
I always welcome new apprentices and those eager to learn! Wizard tailoring is a dying art!!
Don't ask why, or where my last apprentice went
I don't yet have a limit on number of eyes in the workshop, though most we've had at any one time was seven. (It's a small shop) the only worry is where those eyes are, it'll bring a whole new meaning to "cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye" if they get too close to the machinery!

Shadow Wizard Tailors Gang
we love making robes
I'm just a guy in a tailors shop really, I don't have an apprentice, yet (aspiring robemakers get in touch), I just get by with my shears, a wand and arnold, my enchanted sewing machine.
I've made all sorts of robes for all sorts of wizards in the past, if you need robes making or want to set up an order, shoot me an ask or a DM!
We also supply some wizarding accessories as is standard, a good robe needs a nice brooch to hold it together after all.
Important tags:
#garms inspo
- possible designs we can supply you with
#conjecture
- conversations with other wizards and such
#ramblings
- I'll probably post under this if me and Arnold have a fight, again
It happens a lot
My other blog is @gingertomcat
