Proudly presenting: the Faerie Grarrl!! This was one of my most time-intensive projects to date, with around 12 hours of felting from start to finish. I'm so happy with how he came out 😊 I think the mouth was my favorite part to work on -- the lips and teeth and gums were details that really helped him come to life. This piece is listed in my etsy shop (link in bio) . . . #needlefelting #art #neopets #wool #feltart #crafts #artdoll #fanart #arttoy #fiberart #sculpture #handmade #woolcraft https://www.instagram.com/p/CfHB12eLHv0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

💜🕷️ Everybody meet Tallulah 🕷️💜
I've been wanting to learn Amigurumi for ages and this week I finally decided to jump in and give it a go~ I bought this pattern off Etsy and watched this tutorial on YouTube to help me make sense of reading the pattern, and after a few false starts I got stuck in and was able to complete her in a few days!
She's a little wonky but I love her so much, she's so soft~ I'm already planning making my next spider - he's going to be green ^_^
Crafting notes under the cut 🕸️
Pattern: PlushWithJoy (with some modifications by me)
The pattern is honestly really beginner friendly once you know how to read it!
I used 8ply wool and a 5.0mm hook
The pattern suggests gluing on felt eyes, but I chose to use buttons since I had those on hand
I used the new skills I learned to come up with a pattern for pedipalps and chelicerae to make the spider a little more realistic. I've done my best to write the instructions for those out in the right technical terms but please bear in mind this is literally the first time I've ever done this:
Pedipalps (make 2)
1. Mr with 4 sc - 4
2. Inc x4 - 8
3. 1 sc around - 8
4. Dec, sc 1, Inc, Inc, sc 1, Dec - 8
5. Dec, sc 1, Inc, Inc, sc 1, Dec - 8
6. Dec, sc 1, Inc, Inc, sc 1, Dec - 8
7. Sc 3 across the top to close
Sew slightly above the front pair of legs
Chelicerae (make 2)
1. Mr with 4 sc - 4
2. Inc x4 - 8
3-4. 1 Sc around - 8 (two rows)
5. Dec x4 - 8
6. Sc 3 across the top to close
Sew at the front of face
In future I'll likely make all the legs from the same size pattern piece (the larger "back" legs) and use at least one other colour so that the limbs don't all kind of blur into one

I fell in love with the Owl Nouveau Cowl pattern and was determined to learn colorwork after I finished the scarf. After watching a couple of tutorials and cursing over dropped stitches, I have a really cool swatch based on the chart

Cute christmas ornament I made for a friend and her son :) Everyone loves dinosaurs so I figured it was a safe bet! Struggling a lot these last few weeks. Getting ready to travel but also feeling like I've got so much to get done before I leave, while being constantly unbearably exhausted.
Usually I'd post to Insta and tumblr at the same time but honestly making a whole insta post seems so much more effort than posting here. Tumblr is kinda a nice cosy place to post and I don't have to worry about did I get EXACTLY the right hastags or the platform wont show my post to literally anyone, even my followers. With tumblr its more like putting up my pictures on the fridge and anyone who walks by can look at them if they want haha.

I am VERY impressed by how many people recognized this Neopet for what it was in its WIP stage! Well done, all you nerds 😎 This is a Pastel Bori. It is now safely in its forever home. #fiberart #neopets #wool #needlefelting #felted #woolart #bori #felting #fiberartist #woolcraft https://www.instagram.com/p/CmHFvTpLU8e/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
